Charis Johnson is at it again. The woman behind 12 Daily Pro who left hundreds of thousands of investors out millions of dollars, has put out her single on a new internet site: www.startupst.com. Startup Street promises to teach people how to be web entrepreneurs making millions for themselves. For a consumer to join, is costs nothing just a lot of personal information and a stream of websites and advertisements along with surveys about those site. This will allow Johnson to create profile that could be much more lucrative than mere membership fees.

ABC 4 asked a West Valley mom and former 12 Daily Pro investor to look at the site, sign-up and then tell us what she thinks. The first thing Debbie Nelson noticed was the layout. The colors are different, but taken as a whole the Startup Street site looks a lot like the 12 Daily Pro site. About the more detailed questionnaire required at sign-up she said, "This is a little bit scarier this time."

Besides the Consumer Lane, there is also a "Business Boulevard" that does require a modest monthly fee.

The program as described is vague. Consumers apparently earn points for viewing the ads and answering questions. Those points can eventually be redeemed for unspecified "awards".

But heres the real bombshell: While promoting her new program, Charis Johnson blasts her old program.

Once the queen of the auto-surf industry, here's what she's saying now:

"If you are currently participating in online surfing programs or riskly high-yield investment programs, the reality is 99% of these programs will fail because they are illegal, run by the unscrupulous or not meant for long term viability. Either way, if you entrust these types of programs with your financial future, you will be sorely disappointed. We want to help you eliminate the need for such risky ventures and give you a sense of pride for accomplishing success on your own terms. You need to take the power to control your destiny out of the hands of those programs and into your own."

"Thats really sad," said Nelson. "Most people are not going to come to this website knowing that this is the same person who started up 12 Daily Pro. She said, "If I wasnt helping [ABC 4], I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole!"

Charis Johnson remains under investigation by the FBI. And her former program 12 Daily Pro and its parent company, LifeClicks LLC, remain under the control of a receiver appointed by a Federal Judge.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is also looking at civil penalties against Johnson and could require that she give back the money that she took from 12 Daily Pro investors.

BREAKING NEWS: PAYPAL ACQUIRES E-GOLD

In a surprise announcement, PayPal, which is a part of eBay Inc.,
today disclosed that it has acquired Nevis company e-gold Ltd.

e-gold is an online payment system which describes itself as an
"e-currency" or "digital gold currency" (DGC). It is backed by
actual gold reserves and allows its users to store and transfer
funds online.

PayPal spokesperson Midas R. Follis said that PayPal is considering
renaming the e-gold service to either e-pal, SuperPal or ClickPal,
and to eventually merge it entirely with PayPal.

"The meaning of the word 'gold' has changed dramatically over the
centuries. Nowadays it stands for glamour, wealth and prestige, and
has little to do with the precious metal known under the same name."

Citing the decades-high gold price and pressure by the gold cartel,
PayPal plans to sell off e-gold's gold reserves as early as next
Wednesday. e-gold's reserves are located in Dubai and Europe and
exceed those of Canada and many other countries.

Analysts expect that the sale of e-gold's reserves will have a
dampening effect on the soaring gold price. "We could see the price
drop to $500/oz in a matter of days", stated an top analyst who
spoke under the condition of anonymity.

Paypal indicated that its acquisition would bring many new
innovations to e-gold users, such as instant chargebacks, random
duplicate transactions, and live backdoors to authorized government
agencies around the world.

"In their own best interest and to improve security for everyone,
our users will be invited to upload their thumbprints and to mail
in their DNA in the form of tears, sweat, blood, or other bodily
fluids."

Follis continued that after several years of stagnation, PayPal
is newly optimistic about the future now that it has taken over
one of its main competitors.

"e-gold had grown into a serious threat to our business model. This
acquisition allows us to focus on our core business, which consists
of providing our users with the much-needed suspense, drama and
entertainment of never knowing for sure if a payment they just
received is good or will be called back in the future."

e-gold Ltd. chairman Dr. Douglas Jackson was on Spring Break and did
not immediately return phone calls seeking comment.

interesting that we are happy to let governments regulate gambling where it it an accepted fact that most participants lose their money whilst very few get rich overnight..that many develop devastating addictions to gambling.. they regulate businesses..they regulate investments,insurance, credit and loans..and its a given that businesses go bust every day owing thousands, that investments can go down as well as up, that investors regularly lose their shirts..that the cost of insurance, credit and finance is extortionate..that many experience crippling debt, that gettin insurance companies to payout is usually a nightmare -they prefering to take your money rather than pay it out to anyone but the chairman and and ceo...

yet, on the grounds that some people could lose their money if the number of new recruits or new shares being purchased dry up.. people are trying to shut down cyclers, doublers, autosurfs and the like.

hmmm... nothing is said about every so-called legitamate business... where, if sales dry up..the business goes bust, and the employees are out on their ears...and in many cases, customers will lose deposits etc..for all the taxes claimed by governments, for all the regulation... lots of people lose their jobs, homes and money everyday because of legit businesses going to the wall..the government doesnt compensate them in any way..no legitamate, regulated business offers compensation..its left to the courts to decide- a long and lengthy and costly business...and not a sure way to get anything back at all...the most you can hope for in many countries is being treated like a shmuck, being made to feel like a second class citizen, just in order that you can receive a tiny, tiny fraction of all the taxes you've paid into the system over the years in the form of wholly inadequate benefits.

regulation proves nothing except that the business(or rather -its clients/customers) can afford it. it does not solve anything..other than provide jobs for the suits. it does not stop the fraud or money laundering. it does not stop the general public being fleeced.

so -why on earth are net-based income generation schemes which are paying all their members being singled out for such bad press and closure by the powers that be?

Conventional wisdom (if there is such a thing) in HYIP tends to suggest that the more you can start with, the less time it will take to become self sustaining. I've heard many people indicate $10K is needed. However, I tend to believe that if you have those funds to start, without a certain degree of knowledge and sense, a person ends up losing quite a bit and are careless or perhaps lack the discipline to research investments properly, resulting in unnecessary losses.

You can start with any amount... it is a combination of determination, discipline, knowledge and well being that will steer success or failure. As to how long it could take to 'make a living'; I venture to say that depends on what it takes to "live". More is better, but it's what is essential that matters. Reinvesting profits 100% is ideally the fast track, but some money is needed for life while 'earning a living'.

It all started with Stormpay fiaso left hundred of thousands of people burnt.

After the Stormpay fiasco, many people tried to recover a little from chargebacks and/or start investing in other hyips/autosurf and guess what? Most of them is gone faster than you can blink. Happens to me. To my brothers. To my friends. I believe there are hundred of thousands more out there and some of them still live in denial. We will never know the exact amount but my guess is more than $100 million is scammed. Not everyone is successful in chargeback either. Those without credit card deposits are worst affected.

New scams are popping up on the internet every day. We need do something about it don't you think.

You may have heard the old saying "Together we Stand and Divided we Fall".

I would like to put a "task force" together made up of individuals from around the world working together to check contact information on programs before we invest. After we make a spend it's to late!!

It doesn't necessarily have to be anything elaborate just a few people located in different countries willing drive a few miles to do a little DD on solid looking programs.

I'm not talking about the ponzi's that appear daily just opportunities that look like they could have some pontential.

It's not foolproof but it's a step in the right direction I think. I have seen so many programs come and go in the last 5+ years and very few of them provide real traceable contact information.

Several programs list vacant lots as their address, others post mail drops or use an answering service to screen investors.

If we could get a few people to band together and actually go look the program over before we invest it might not keep the admins from running with the funds at some point but it would at least prove they are located where they claim to be.

There is less chance of them closing the program and disappearing if they are established in the area and have family/friends living close by. No one wants to leave their family and slip off in the night.

There are a few programs operating right now that provide good DD and are not afraid to lay their cards on the table. That is what we need to find.

I would rather invest in 5 or 10 solid lower paying opps that will be here for a the long term than throw money into 50 that may be gone next week.

I have been receiving letters apparently from the monitoring site GoldPoll, recommending some fishy hyips. They are fake. This is what GoldPoll says about those emails:

"Somebody is SPAMing people using a fake e-mail address in the FROM Field. Don't trust in these e-mails please! Please read this news update as it contains important information concerning your StormPay account as well as spends from your account to the "Auto-Surf" industry.

Traditionally "auto-surf" is a "traffic exchange" industry as to where persons gain traffic credits for promoting their URL (website address) in exchange for viewing websites offered by others. Any monies taken in on these types of "traffic exchanges" are normally for upgrades to have your URL (website) shown at a higher rate of exposure. For an example of how a true auto-surf works, you can visit www.autohits.dk or other sites comparable.

"Paid to click", or "Paid to Read" types of sites are normally where an advertiser pays to have his/her ad displayed and the end user gets paid a portion of the advertiser dollars for clicking on and reading/viewing the ad. The end user who is being paid for reading/viewing the advertisement does not spend any monies to participate. An example of this type of service is StormPay's own "StormClix" where participants are not charged to view advertisements and are rewarded an account credit for viewing the advertisement.

It has recently been brought to the attention of StormPay Inc. that the current rash of new Auto-Surf and Paid to Read accounts are NOT operating in the traditional manner. Further investigation by both StormPay and other outside investigational organizations/law enforcement agencies have have drawn early conclusions that these types of programs are nothing more than well hidden "Ponzi" or "Pyramid" schemes. While many of you may not agree, or wish to agree that these programs or illegally operated ponzi's, there are many facts that that are unavailable to you, or that may have been hidden by the operators of these programs. Please note that StormPay's user agreement has always banned merchant accounts for these types of activities.

Throughout the investigations into these programs, StormPay has asked the "Merchant(s)" to provide a detailed explanation of the workings of these programs including how profit margins and customer payments are made. These questions were asked point blank by StormPay while on a conference call with the owner/operator and their attorney. The requests for information from the "merchant" were simply denied leaving StormPay no choice other than to report those findings to the other organizations who required the information from StormPay. These findings and reports caused the seizure of funds of the merchant(s) StormPay accounts until all legal matters are resolved. Please be reminded that this could have been avoided if the merchant(s) could have, or would have provided information proving no illegal pyramid or ponzi activity.

Furthermore, investigations and calculations show that these merchants were already at an "upside down" point where they are/were not able to meet the financial obligations made to their program participants. These merchants who were already failing to make good on their claims seem to now be using StormPay as their "Scape Goat" for the failure of their own pyramid or ponzi scheme. These programs are always doomed to failure and for that very reason, deemed illegal. Please site the following from StormPay's user agreement:

"17. Get Rich Quick" Schemes: Get Rich Quick Schemes are prohibited resell items by StormPay. Get Rich Quick schemes include any type of self-employment, start-up businesses, or investment opportunity where the claims of profit or returns on investment are unrealistic or unsupported. By law, if a business opportunity costs $500.00 USD or more, the promoter is required to support any claims regarding earnings or profits with written documentation.

Pyramids don't pay. StormPay Inc. and the Federal Trade Commission caution consumers about clubs or programs that promise quick money for recruiting new members. Don't bank on the pyramid promise that someone else will pay you. For more information on get-rich-quick schemes, visit the FTC at www.ftc.gov."

We know that the most prominent question in your mind is "What happens to the money I sent these programs?" Answer: At the moment any funds frozens in these merchant's accounts are frozen and not payable until all investigations are completed. At such time investigations are completed, any remaining funds will be released to the merchant's, or refunded to the purchasers, based on the outcome of the investigations. Please be aware if determination is made that these are ponzi schemes, a great deal of the funds received by these merchant's will have been used to pay obligations to those who joined earlier into the programs. In other words, they will have used your money to pay other members thus creating a deficit of funds needed to refund all users. Please be patient while investigators decide the best procedures for handling this serious situation. Contacting your credit issuers or banks requesting chargebacks only compounds the problems for all involved, including the merchants and their customers, and delays returns of any funds. These actions could also be punishable by law.

Their site is down and probably being investagated. The more I dig into StormPay, the more I am uncovering scam and dirty dealings. StormPay is banned from offering Their services in Tennessee. An on going internal investigation by Tennessee & Kansas authorities might have uncovered some illicit activities at StormPay/Netiba/Tymglobal.

We haven’t heard anything from Stormpay,John R. McConnell or Steve Girsky since this whole mess started. However, Steve Girsky has been at the local race track,”saying that he can’t get enough of watching the races” It is old news that StormPay has sponsered The Latemodel dirt racing series and not just in Tennessee.

The BBB of Tennesse has had numerous complaints concerning Stormpay not refunding monies, along with several interstate trade violations. I for one hope that Justice will be served to anyone that thinks they can get away with illegal acts that have effected so many. Even though my loss of $9,000.00 hurts. I can’t help but wonder about all the other people that might have invested their life savings , because they believed in the programs just as we all did.

12 Daily Pro Shuts Down; Investors Wait For Money - Watch Video

An alleged get-rich-quick program included in an ABC4 news investigation has apparently shut down.

12 Daily Pro sent an email to its memberships early this morning, saying their organization is being "misrepresented".

The e-mail claims some members, including Utah college students, made unspecified false claims.

Because of that, and a vague reference to questions being raised by authorities, it's temporary closed up shop.

The "Utah" college students mentioned are apparently BYU students.

As ABC4 News reported Thursday night, Ned Hill, Dean of BYU's Marriott School of Business became alarmed that some of his students were promoting what he believed was a risky, unethical and possibly illegal enterprise.

A memo from Dean Hill warned those students they are in danger of being expelled.

Since then, Charis Johnson, the only named principal in 12 Daily Pro and it's parent company, Lifeclick LLC, has sent an e-mail to members saying "due to the questions raised...we feel...it is best to stop accepting upgrade purchases..."

What's more, the online clearinghouse handling money transfers for 12 Daily Pro, Storm Pay, has frozen its accounts.

Here's storm-pay's explanation:

"Investigation by both Storm Pay and other outside investigational organizations and law enforcement agencies have drawn early conclusions that these types of programs are nothing more than well hidden ponzi or pyramid schemes."

The letter says that accounts will remain frozen "until all legal matters are resolved."

That leaves 12 Daily Pro without access to member's money, and that...more than anything done by BYU students or said by their dean is probably the reason 12 Daily Pro is no long accepting upgrades...or even new memberships.

I personally thought the video was funny because of all the technical difficulties they were having. And it's true that they didn't have the complete facts either for or against 12dp. For example, they first said that it was against the law to be in 12dp, then changed it to just being unethical. However, NC's concumer protection stated that it is against the law if you actively promote it and have a downline.

As for run-down apartment building, there seem to be different views on the matter. Some say it's in a really bad neighborhood, for one thing. Who knows, I haven't personally seen it myself.

Either way, it's interesting to see different views. And plus I thought Jamie Cook was kind of cute.

As most of you are aware, IntGold ceased operation about 6 weeks ago. We held tight, hoping that operations would resume, or at least there would be some news as to what we could expect going forward.

However, there has been no information forthcoming.

Dan and I, unfortunately have no choice but to discontinue earnings on the upgraded funds that were paid in via IntGold. Most of the 128 members who did upgrade are already in profit, but we simply cannot afford to payout for 2 years on funds that we did not receive.

Another issue this week has been the latest development with StormPay. Most of our members continue to upgrade with StormPay and request payouts to eGold and/or PayPal.

Per the new Terms of Service specified by StormPay, we unfortunately have no choice but to comply in the short term as most of our member funds are in their processor. From this point forward, we will only accept payments via StormPay, and members will be paid out to the processor they have used to upgrade until all funds in those accounts are depleted.

With the completion of the January payout, our permanent pay solution will be announced.

Being that we have no choice in either of these matters and although we sympathize with individual inconveniences as a result, there is nothing we can do to change the current situation. Therefore, any tickets submitted regarding either of these matters will be deleted with no response.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience to our members,
but, this is not something within our control.

Unfortunately just prior we have posted our
newsletter #23, we found that stormpay were
changing their Policy,

Policy Update 31-Jan-2006 14:40 Due to high
volumes of fraudulent transactions made to
merchants with commission based business models
who choose to accept StormPay can no
longer process payments for those type of
merchants who choose to accept more than
one payment processing solution... Read more in
Stormpay official website.

That put us in a position in that we have
decided to drop our plans to use Stormpay
as a payment processor.

We would like to thank everyone who sent us a
ticket regarding this issue, although
we were a little suspicious at the beginning
that Stormpay would accept to be a
payment processor for such programs
like "autosurfs" etc we decided due to high
demand to implement it as a Payment processor,
but now that our suspicions are
confirmed we will keep our regular payment
options and not plan to use Stormpay.

being paid isnt really proof.. Most hyips pay for a certain amount of time and then crash and burn.

Cheerleading for a ponzi isnt a sure sign of intelligence, sure its a good program, but it is in NO WAY honest, legitamate or friendly. Charis every week gets less informative of the news. And her language has gone for "house wife" to "super ######". Frankly she is fed up with keeping this autosurf any longer, i wait 1 week after convention for it to fall. After people actually see her and how stupid she is and looks.
I'm sorry but thats how the industry is.

Now for some on topic stuff.

The hotel is booked confirmed and 30% paid for.. (Convention facilities)..
But this 30% is like only 500 dollars. Which wont effect her to run away. The last payment will be due 16th Feburary, that is the time you should get in contact with the hotel...

How do i know this?? I am a travel agent, i checked it under my travel agents name and got the details.

I'm not sure that you'll get much specific information about the methods that different people use for DD. Many are considered proprietary techniques and many rely on personal relationships built over time, so there's not much in the way of information that would be useful to the average person.

I think the best overall technique for judging the quality of a program is to keep your ears and eyes open and learn (through hard experience, sometimes) who is more likely to provide sound counsel and who is not.

It's not unlike the scientific community, where a hypothesis is not accepted until it's been churned up thoroughly by the community at large and a consensus is developed among the more respected members. I look for agreement from people I've come to trust, as well as a track record and a reasonable set of terms. Beyond that, it mostly comes down to planning and implementing a solid investment strategy...

The Perfect Due Diligent ??

TeamAaronShara has recently stepped up their due diligence process as well. Among other things they now require:

- Notarized copy of ID of the Program Manager and Trader (Or Whoever it is that is generating the funds).
- Original utility bill of the Program Manager and The Trader (Or Whoever it is that is generating the funds) less than 3 Months old.
- Bank reference of the Program Manager and Trader (Or Whoever it is that is generating the funds).
- Professional reference of the Program Manager and Trader (Or Whoever it is that is generating the funds).
- Bank account details of the Program Manager and Trader (Or Whoever it is that is generating the funds).
- Landline phone number of the Trader and Program Manager (Or Whoever it is that is generating the funds).
- Trade History, that actually shows proof of trading.

One can never be 100% certain, but this sort of info makes it pretty hard for them to hide, should they decide to dash with the cash.

When to stop! When to start! How do you?

It's often said "no guts no glory", and although that's very true in 99% of lifes values, it can make or break the average investor, if not done correctly. So when do you invest too much or too little one might ask?

Well that's simple. The original point of investing online, isn't to strike it rich if you remember, the whole point of what was once only MLMing (before hyips or the sort) , was to replace your current income.

So if your new at this, and don't want to loose, I recommend starting with 10k divided.

Invest 70% of that into private HYI programs that have been around for years. Invest whatevers left into (NOT DOUBLERS, NOT HYI's,ect.) Instead invest whatevers left into Surf programs, such as 12Dailypro, 4Daily, ect. Whatever you earn compound as best you can untill you can guarrentee yourself atleast 3k each month. However do not compound for more then 6 months. After 6 months immediatly take in and cash out as much as possible daily.

And after you get back your 10k principal reinvest that all over again.

Secondly, when dividing your portfolio you must invest more money into the programs that have been around the longest. For example say your investing 30% of your 10k into 3 autosurfs, simply give the oldest program $1500.oo, second program $1000.oo. Third $500.oo.

Same with the HYI's.

And as always if your going to gamble/invest into public programs, invest small amounts into the high %percentage paying programs...

And then High amounts into the small %percentage% paying schemes.
