Currently, your Farmville neighbors are able to gift you a 1/5 tank of fuel. A normal fuel tank holds 150 units and replenishes at 1 unit every 2.5 minutes. To get the most benefit from the 1/5 fuel tank gifts, you should redeem one gift every time your tank is full. Since you can have additional tanks of fuel stored up, this will push you over the limit and into a new tank. You can then let that tank fill up over time and end up with an additional full tank.

This information is verified to be accurate as of World of Warcraft Patch 3.3.

Before going too far into this, it’s worth pointing out that you shouldn’t make a decision regarding which race to play in World of Warcraft simply on the traits that differentiate the races. Although these differences may have a large impact on your game experience in certain situations, picking the “wrong” race is not going to ruin your character. If you are a casual player, you will have much more fun choosing a player based on looks or an interesting back-story you’ve created. That being said…

Horde places can choose from three races when creating a warlock: blood elf, orc, and undead. Although starting stats are slightly different for each race, they are not different enough for stat differences to matter when selecting a race. At level 80, six points of Intellect is not that big a deal. When choosing a race, you should only consider the benefits of racial traits.

Blood Elf

Blood Elves receive two racial traits that are of minor benefit in specific situations.

Arcane Torrent silences enemies within 8 yards and restores 6% of the warlock’s mana. The silence aspect of this trait is really only useful in PVP since enemies in PVE are usually at near maximum range. Additionally, warlocks already have an easier time managing their mana pool thanks to Life Tap.

Magic Resistance reduces the chance the blood elf will be hit by spells by 2%. This ability has very limited usefulness since warlocks in PVE are only attacked when unable to properly manage threat.

Orc

Orcs have three abilities that effect warlocks.

Blood Fury increases the warlocks spell power for 15 seconds. This results in a massive damage boost and is useful in both PVE and PVP situations.

Command increases the damage done by warlock demons (pets) by 5%. This is most useful for soloing and Demonology specced raiders. Warlocks rely heavily on their pets when soloing. A 5% increase in damage not only kills mobs faster, it allows pets to generate more threat and hold aggro off the warlock better. In dungeon and raid settings, this translates to a direct damage boost for warlock demons.

Hardiness reduces the duration of stun effects by 15%. This trait is mainly beneficial in PVP situations, but can occasionally by useful in PVE.

Undead

Will of the Forsaken used to be the most powerful PVP racial trait. This trait removes charm, fear, and sleep effects. Unfortunately, this trait has been changed so that it shares the same cooldown with trinkets that provide the same functionality. As such, the usefulness of this trait is severely inhibited.

Cannibalize is a useful trait in that it quickly returns health to the character. Warlocks use their health pool to replenish their mana, so this would seem to be a useful ability. Unfortunately for undead, food is readily available to replenish the warlock’s health pool, and warlocks also have the ability to steal health from mobs.

Shadow Resistance is similar to the Blood Elf Magic Resistance but only effects Shadow spells.

Therefore…

From the above listings you can clearly see that Orcs are currently the best Horde choice for the warlock class. Orc traits allow warlocks to out damage other races, and make solo leveling much easier.

And let’s face it, orcs are just dead sexy.

The key to making cows profitable is using the Dairy Farm. Cows by themselves take up a lot of real estate. Dairy farms are slightly bigger than one and a half plots, but can hold twenty cows. Additionally, the Dairy Farm lets you harvest all twenty cows at once. This is a huge time saver. With the maximum of five Dairy Farms and a fully loaded Chicken Coop, you can achieve the Zoologist blue ribbon in just six weeks with minimal effort.

So, you want to put as many Alien and Pink Cows in your Dairy Farms as possible.

The fastest way to gain experience points with crops in Farmville is to turn them over as quickly as possible. Blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries can be harvested every four hours and result in 2 XP each (1 for plowing + 1 for planting). Raspberries offer the same XP, but must be harvested every 2 hours to get the same results (1 for plowing + 0 for planting).

Note: When available, Super Berries are the XP crop of choice. They offer 2 XP every 2 hours.

I wasn’t happy that my Rotting Agam’ar boar had become useless with the addition of Thunderstomp to the gorilla family. Fortunately, the recent change that makes Thunderstomp a part of the Tenacity tree means that my old boar can come out and play again. I’m currently working on leveling him up to 80 while working on the Argent Tournament quests.

My boar, Gullinbursti, got me all the way through level 70. It was a shame to abandon him once gorillas became so powerful. I’m glad I can use him now.

As I mentioned in my last PVP update, I decided to stop using a scorpid in battlegrounds. The real power of the scorpid is the ability of Scorpid Poison to hide Viper Sting from dispells. My experience in battlegrounds is that the strategy is more related to burning down individual targets rather than the more meticulous mana draining strategy of the arena.

So, in response to that, I tamed a (now) level 68 Felsworn Daggermaw. I’m still working on leveling him up and increasing his loyalty, but I already feel like we’re doing more damage as a team.

Finally, I’ve decided to keep my 11/41/9 for now. I had previously considered switching some of those Beast Mastery talents over to Survival. Although I feel like this spec is better suited to the arena, I’m still getting used to it and don’t want to give up on it so quickly.

I’ve been using my new 11/41/9 PVP spec for about a week now, and things are finally starting to gel. As with anything, it just takes practice to get a feel for the limits of the new build, and the timing of new shots (specifically Scatter Shot and Silencing Shot).

One thing I’ve noticed, is that this new build is probably better suited to Arena combat rather than battlegrounds. Since the fights in Arenas are longer than the individual skirmishes in the BGs, things like Improved Revive Pet are more important. Or, maybe I just stink and die too much in BGs!

Since I’m not on an Arena team, I’m considering dropping some of the Beast Mastery talents and moving those points into Survival. If I do this, I would probably stable my Scorchshell Pincer in favor of a high-DPS pet with Dash. A Felsworn Daggermaw or Blackwind Sabercat seems like good fit.

Which would you choose?

Last night I made the executive decision to only PVP with Hynjoku, and use my original hunter for farming. I spent 1 gold at the trainer to unlearn all my talents and redistributed my points into a 11/41/9 Marksmanship build.

I’ve been playing a 41/20/0 Beast Mastery build for well over a year, and I feel like my unfamiliarity with this new build was really evident. I’m determined to not let these early struggles get me down and focus on learning the nuances of my new shots and deadlier stings.

As I said not too long ago, I’ve felt like I was in a rut lately. Since I haven’t been playing with my regular group for nearly 6 weeks, the daily grind of PVP and daily quests is starting to drive me a bit wonky.

In the interest of my own sanity, I’ve picked up an old warrior alt named Fengdu (that’s his ugly mug to the left). My plan is to treat Fengdu quite differently than Hynjoku. If you’ve followed this blog for a while, you probably know that the point of Hynjoku was to experience as much content as possible. After leveling 2 other toons to 70, I felt like I had skipped a lot of the game for the sake of leveling quickly.

That’s not the case with Fengdu, though. My plan is to get this guy to 70 as quickly as possible and to focus on PVP entirely. If I never tank an instance, I don’t care. If I don’t max out all the reputations, no big deal.

Fengdu is all about the PVP. Let’s see how it goes.
