Eating fruit at the correct time plays a major role in detoxifying your system and supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Let's say you eat two slices of bread, then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it's prevented from doing so.&amp;nbsp;Instead, the whole meal rots and ferments, and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach, and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Eat your fruit on an empty stomach, or before your meal! You've heard people complain: Every time I eat watermelon I burp&amp;nbsp;- -&amp;nbsp;when I eat durian my stomach bloats - - &amp;nbsp;when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc. This will not happen if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. Fruit mixes with the other food in your stomach that is digesting (putrefying) and produces gas. Hence, you bloat!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The&amp;nbsp;fruits that we all associate with being acidic, like orange, lemon and grapefruit become alkaline in our bodies. In fact,&amp;nbsp;all fruit becomes alkaline in our body, according to research that was done by Dr. Herbert Shelton. Dr. Shelton says that if you have mastered the correct way of eating fruit, you have the Secret of Beauty, Longevity, Health, Energy, Happiness and normal weight.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He also found that you should&amp;nbsp;drink&amp;nbsp;fresh fruit juice whenever possible, NOT the concentrated juice from the cans or that has been frozen. Also, don't drink juice that has been heated and&amp;nbsp;don't eat cooked fruit; you don't get the nutrients. You get only the taste. Cooking destroys&amp;nbsp;the vitamins.&amp;nbsp; Eating&amp;nbsp;whole fruit is better than drinking the juice.&amp;nbsp;When you do drink juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go on a 3-day fruit-fast to cleanse your body. Eat fruit and drink fruit juice for just 3 days, and you will be surprised when your friends start telling you how radiant you look! &lt;br /&gt;

&lt;strong&gt;Here is a short list of fruits that give you lots of "good stuff" for your body:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;KIWI&lt;/strong&gt;: Tiny but mighty, and a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E and fiber. It's vitamin C content is twice that of an orange! &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;APPLE&lt;/strong&gt;: an apple&amp;nbsp;a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants and flavonoids which enhance the activity of vitamin C, thereby helping to lower the risk of colon cancer, heart attack and stroke. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;STRAWBERRY&lt;/strong&gt;: Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits and protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;ORANGES&lt;/strong&gt;: 2 to 4 oranges&amp;nbsp;a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent and dissolve kidney stones, and reduce the risk of colon cancer. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;WATERMELON&lt;/strong&gt;: Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system. That being said, in the following, when I refer to an affirmation, it will be a positive affirmation and the intent is for you to believe it is true whether you initially perceive it to be true or not. The idea is for your subconscious mind to believe it is true through the repetitive hearing (also referred to as autosuggestion) of the declaration or statement. Since birth we have all been exposed to affirmations. Unfortunately, affirmations come in both positive and negative forms. As children we received a lot of affirmations from parents, teachers and peers. Some were positive (good) some were negative (bad), but which ever they were, we started to believe they were true even if they weren’t. Now as adults, we may need to overcome that programming to make changes and improvements in our lives&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I first heard of affirmations several years ago. My first experience was with a book and a set of cassette tapes (you remember those don't you?) from Dr. Shad Helmstetter. The set was titled "What To Say When You Talk To Yourself". At that time I didn't realize that the short sentences in the book and on the tapes were simply affirmations, but I very quickly realized that they were very powerful and very helpful in the process of programming the mind. Affirmations are sometimes referred to as "self talk" and are used extensively in personal development courses. Positive affirmations can help in many ways for self-improvement.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Self Esteem.&lt;br /&gt;
• Financial Success.&lt;br /&gt;
• Stop Procrastination.&lt;br /&gt;
• Taking Control of Your Life.&lt;br /&gt;
• Health and Fitness.&lt;br /&gt;
• Positive Relationships.&lt;br /&gt;
• Personal Development.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Just to name a few.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Positive affirmations can be used in a couple different ways. The most basic is to read them over and over again several times per day. Although this is effective, it requires that you have the time to do this. Another way is to record the affirmations onto a CD, MP3 Player or your phone so you can listen the them while you are doing other things and of course the other way is to purchase the CD's or MP3's and not need the time or equipment to do the recording yourself. All of these methods work and will help you to reach your goals for whatever you want to do.&lt;br /&gt;
