At the end of the session, I immediately knew the emotions around part 1, the trauma of the cancer diagnosis, had changed. They morphed from one of the most painful moments of my life to simply being an event similar to any other that was a normal life experience. I could now view this event from another perspective without the overwhelming negative emotions I had originally connected with it.
