A new baby has caused a bit of a slowdown with Casting Stones. I am currently at a point were I am going to re-baseline. Essentially, I am going to rewrite what I currently have, while devloping the plot a big differently and adding more detail to scenes.

I’ve had a good couple of weeks. I had concrete ideas for 17 chapters of what will probably be somewhere in the neighborhood of 70 eventual chapters. I have introduced 7 major characters and a handful of others.

The estimated completion data is base on a linear projection of the words per day. The listed completion is a bit optimisitic at this point. 2011 remains the target date for completion.

Welcome to Hyrax Publications. Hyrax Publications is the publisher of The Casual Observer. We are also the exclusive publisher of the author Kosmo. Kosmo is a freelance writer who is also currently working on his first novel.

What is a Hyrax?

A hyrax is a small rodent that is related to the elephant. It looks nothing like an elephant, of course. They simply share an ancestor many millions of year ago. The two species took divergent paths from that point.

What is Hyrax Publications?

Hyrax Publications is the umbrella organization for the works of Kosmo. Hyrax Publications also publishes The Soap Boxers – a web-based magazine that focuses on a variety of subjects, including news, sports, politics, technology, science, nature, and Canadian issues. Roughly a dozen talented authors comprise the staff of The Soap Boxers, the flagship publication of Hyrax Publications.

What’s next?

Kosmo is currently in the very early stages of writing a novel, The Cell Window. The book is expected to be available in 2012.
