During school time, my teachers have always taught me to listen to other and try to understand what is the message that are being conveyed by the messenger.... To date, I am still liven by this piece of advice because it has helped me to go through the very difficult journey of life...family, relationship, friends, at university, at work, and at society...

Of course, it does not mean that we have to accept 100% of the message; it's our intelligence to differentiate which is wrong and which right...but to decline 100% by lambasting and barking at the messenger before we even try to understand the message carefully and deeply, I think it is very wrong...it just shows that we refuse to accept other people's opinion and always think that "I am right, you are wrong"...there's a reason why God created us with two ears and one mouth...

Now, if we always think that we are absolutely right and other people are absolutely wrong, how would we able to learn from others? Because what we thought are right may not be right actually... it is through sharing that we can gain more knowledge, be open-minded and be wiser in street life...

Trapped in 'Aquarium'...

Today, after lunch, all of sudden the alarm started beeping...when one of the CIMB staff trying to go out, then only we (about 10 of us in the Aquarium) realized that the glass door was locked...means, we were trapped inside the Aquarium!! For almost 2 hours, at Level 13 at Menara MBC... gosh =.="

But it wasn't all that bad...a few funny events actually took place in the course of the incident...

few of us were dying to go for toilet break, and I was actually one of them
KP was dying to have drinking water
Z was supposed to go for meeting with her boss R (R just went out thus he couldn't come in) so she passed the pendrive instead (there was a tiny gap beneath the glass door)
G suddenly off the light and screamed "har, lampu pun tak ada!!" making everyone laughed
D wrote "Closed" on a paper and pasted it on the glass door
H said that the door is auto-locked so that in case there is terrorist, we are all protected inside, lol xD xD
CY was very hungry because her lunch was outside
W, who was outside the Aquarium, acted some funny tricks to mock us trapped inside
T, who was just back from meeting and not realizing on the incident, scanned his access cards many time and wondering why the door wouldn't open

and many many more funny jokes around :'D definitely one of the fun days at client site :)

Just last week I was in the Siemens Run @ 10km, and today BHP Orange Run @ 11km...phew...what a work out!!

Some nonsense just don't understand the facts of life but 'syok sendiri' with his sweeping statements that were not backed by evidence or facts and figures...and it's surprising that a national daily would publish something as idiosyncratic as that.

Salute to journalist Kee Thuan Chye who replied not as a Chinese Malaysian but, simply, as a Malaysian. That what he has written in Free Malaysia Today represented very well the situations today, that Chinese Malaysians want a government that is not corrupt; that can govern well and proves to have done so; that tells the truth rather than lies; that follows the rule of law; that upholds rather than abuses the country’s sacred institutions...I believe that not only the Chinese, but all, regardless Malays, Indians, Ibans, Kadazans etc, also want a clean government that can really does the job....

Sadly, not all realize this, and those who do not are still 'syok sendiri' and thinking that the rakyat are stupid...kesian...

A Tragic Incident at Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2010

I would like to share a tragic incident that happened at Standard Chartered KL Marathon today…

When i was running my final 2 km on the 10km… as i was running along the road in front of Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, i saw a guy was sitting on the road side then soon enough he collapsed…

this incident attracted my attention as a guy(a training doctor, named Irkhan) that was trying to help him was shouting for medic..

as i was a trained EFR, i ran over to see what is happening.. (it was around 1 hour into the race for 10km runners)

i got to know that the guy (named Lim) has collapsed and was having seizure.. we tried to place him in recovery position… he was breathing very heavily and shortly and he was also biting his teeth very very hard… i was afraid that he will hurt himself (with either biting his own tongue or he closed up his airway).. so i tried to open up his jaw and tried to communicate wif him to have him relax and breath easily.. he then slowed down his breathing and taking deeper breath…

another lady (lady A) came to help and constantly monitor on his pulse… and Dr. Visva (was another participant in the run) came over to help…

Then suddenly, his pulse was gone… then we lied him flat and started on CPR procedures… we constantly check on his pulse to check whether his pulse has come back.. we did chest compression and also mouth-to-mouth breathing to Lim…

as we were doing the CPR procedures, we did not sight medic anywhere.. and we tried to shout as loud as possible for medic…

After awhile into the CPR procedures, “lady A” said that she could feel his pulse but was very weak.. then we stopped the CPR procedures to see whether he regain consciousness or not…

After i stopped the chest compression on Lim, i started shouting for medic services again with the hope that a medic services is nearby and heard us.. but unfortunately not… we only sighted 3 DBKL Officers(with big motorcycles) just stood by the road side and just stare… the did not come over to help or to check out what happened… (it was around 10 minutes that Lim collapse and had seizure)…

after a moment, Lim loose his pulse again.. we started CPR procedures again.. we still did not sight an ambulance or any EMS(Emergency Medical Services) around… after approximately 30 compression, Lim regained his pulse but was very very weak.. and yet.. there was still no ambulance or EMS sighted… and DBKL officers still stood there and did not came over to help… so I informed a passer by to run to the officers to tell them to call for an EMS soonest possible…

after we performed CPR procedures on Lim for the the third time, finally a St. John ambulance came after around 15 - 20 minutes after Lim collapsed…

we let the EMS officers to take over the CPR and First Aid… Dr. Visva asked whether do they have the AED(Automated External Defibrillator)… one of the person from the EMS said that they do not have it.. then I asked whether do they have a face mask with pump.. they also did not have it there… THEY PRACTICALLY HAVE NOTHING IN THE AMBULANCE!!!!!!!! -.-”

EMS took him and speed their way to HKL…

we were later informed that the Response time for EMS is 3 minutes but it took them almost 20 minutes to arrive… and later.. as I was reading through the Runners Guide that was provided in our running kit…

There is a statement (at page 15) that states that “Medical Assistance - Medical Aid is available every 4km and at the Finish Area. Due to runner’s physical condition, Medical Officials are authorized to stop runners and remove their timing chip”…

every 4KM MY ROYAL ASS.. I did not see any first aider, ambulance or any sort of medical officials along my 10km route… and if 4km was true.. it definitely will not take them SO LONG to arrive…

I got a call from Dr. Visva a moment ago.. he went to HKL to check out the condition of Lim and he informed me that Lim have passed away on his arrival to the hospital… T__T

Lim is only into his 20’s and was running the 10KM distance…

P/s: please share this note to as many people as possible.. we will hope to create awareness on the inefficiency of EMS, DBKL officers and organiser of standard chartered KL Marathon 2010…

we also want to create an awareness that this kind of inefficiency have caused a life of a young man…

we will hope that the marathon organisers will take responsibility and make EMS a top priority in their planning

The KL Marathon has failed again, with even heavier issue this time...I wonder whether Standard Chartered will be the title sponsor again next year...

Hope the organizers of marathon take this issue seriously. Life’s at stake. Nobody want any of his/her friend or family member collapse at roadside, unattended, and passed away quietly…this unfortunate event could have been avoided in the first place...

my advice to runners, carry your handphone along when running, and make sure the handphone is not running out of battery...

Disturbed

I am disturbed....my thought...my mind...I realise that until now I still could not get over it...

What is that 'it'? 'It' was something, some action that I regret doing it....that 'it' still haunt me until now, after almost one year and half...

Sad...because I could not get over 'it' and move on...well, I have actually 'moved' on, but occassionally still cursing myself over 'it'...till when must I bear with being haunted by 'it'?

And because of 'it', I said something I shouldn't say to my dear...although he seemed like didn't mind or bother, but I still feel guilty and sorry...

God, please give me strength to get over 'it' and move on to chase for my dreams...

Prostate Cancer Awareness Run

The run this morning was organized in conjuntion of the Prostate Awareness Campaign (18 to 20 June) organized by Pusat Perubatan Universiti Kebangasaan Malaysa (PPUKM). Nonetheless, not many people participating (I think there were around 700 runners only for 8 categories available)...perhaps most of the others rather 'save' their energy and stamina for next week's Standard Chartered Marathon...

Before the run, we had some aerobic which was quite fun...the flag off was at 7.45am...My record: about 55 minutes for a distance of 7km...haha, not a good record though, but I was within top 30 so I got a medal ^^

How did you know when you are being sabotaged?

When I asked something like where are we supposed to be today or the likes, I was ignored or given cool shoulders... or ‘t’ just shrugged....
‘t’ refused to help me although ‘t’ was in the best position to help, giving excuses like being busy or don’t know how etc...
‘t’ pulled long face every time I did something correctly, or I managed to catch what the presenter was trying to deliver... argh, can you blame me? I am after all a fast learner, at least faster than ‘t’...
‘t’ would never bother to update me anything like time or place change...
‘t’ excluded me from the email loop (remove me from the cc list), leaving me completely unaware of what was happening around...
‘t’ refused to help carry my things although ordered to, giving excuse don’t know which is which...I ended up having to travel to and fro twice from KKK to MMM on my expenses...
‘t’ ignored me although ‘t’ was supposed to share what to do...
‘t’ didn’t bother to accompany me on a task although ordered to...
‘t’ sarcastically asking me how was I going to AAA, when it was obvious that the transport ‘t’ were to use was full and could not fit me in...
‘t’ never told me that the ‘gathering’ has changed place from AAA to KKK, leaving me stranded alone at AAA...what!! after that long walk under the hot sun??!! and I didn’t bother to go back to KKK after that...who cares?

I am now very, very glad I made that decision....I just wish the time will pass faster... to those who still have faith in 't', I wish them luck...

I was assigned to man the booth for my company in an exhibition that run in conjunction with the World Islamic Economic Forum at KL Convention Centre, from 18 to 20 May 2010...

I was damn BORED and feel TORTURED during the whole three days event - not many people came, very few target market around, cannot online, big toes pain because wearing court shoe, uncomfortable because wearing jacket etc etc.

But the good points were, I got to know a lot people (I am not that shy to strangers after all ^^), I discover many new things (did you know that you can easily have your own line of cosmetics or your own coffee brand?), I got free lunches, I got many free door gifts, I didn't have to suck up in the office, I can go back early, and I felt proud as I was part of the BIG event!!

Finally, yesterday was last day...HAHAHA

Dear friends, Aqeelah is my friend Ayub's daughter, who suffer a de-function fingers due to blood cot in her left hand artery after a fall at her school...treatment in hospitals only made her condition worse - she's now having disorder nerve which resulted stroke, unable to focus, cannot stand straight, among others...

around 4.30am in the dawn, i woke up suddenly....not long after that, i heard a long squeaking sound followed by a loud bang...an accident had just happened...

quickly got up from my bed, i went to downstair to peek through the window to have a look...but i couldn't see anything, maybe the accident took place out of my view from home...

yet, i felt uncomfortable...something was just not right, but i didn't know what that was...i prostrate to the goddess of mercy at my home before went back to bed...and my heart still beat exceptionally fast...

woke up in the morning, i told my parents that i heard a loud bang yesterday and it could be a traffic accident...my mum said, "ya, and he was your cousin"

i was like, what?!! my cousin, who live next door, accident? near the house? so the loud bang, was him?

apparently, a very high-speeding car crashed on his car when he wanted to turn to enter the housing area...so it was obvious that the counter party was at fault, 1. beat the red light 2. speeding

thank god my cousin was alright, except for a few broken teeth...wish him a fast recovery...
