Honestly, I have been using Sunsilk – the orange one in particular – since first year high school; that was the time I became aware of how important my hair is to how others see and appreciate me as a person. That’s why up to now, Sunsilk is the only shampoo I trust; the brand that treats my hair right and gives all the tender loving care that my hair truly deserves.

I am glad to hear that Sunsilk has innovated through the Sunsilk Co-Creations campaign to satisfy the needs of its consumers. Under this concept, “two parties with complementary expertise and a shared vision work together to create something new, different and better.” This innovation combines Sunsilk’s cutting-edge hair technology with the experts’ in-depth hair knowledge.

Sunsilk has recently partnered with Teddy Charles (the shape and length expert), Yuko Yamashita (the smooth expert), Thomas Taw (the damage expert) and Dr. Francisca Fusco (the hairfall expert) – four of the biggest names in the hair care arena who style and care for the tresses of top models and celebrities from all over the globe – to produce improved, premium products for amazing, beautiful, expert-touched hair accessible to all.

My hair has undergone numerous relax and rebond treatments. I thought of trying Sunsilk Straight and Sway last Wednesday and in just two days, I already noticed the difference. My hair looks straighter and more alive it bounces with my every toss and turn. Maybe because it has Amino Collagen Complex that cleanses straight hair and gently relaxes hair bonds, providing softness and suppleness to give natural movement to artificially straightened hair. It is really amazing that with a SRP of P89.00/200mL bottle, I get to experience the magical touch of hair expert Teddy Charles.

And for best results, I never fail to use Creamsilk conditioner (pink or blue) on my hair. The pink one (Standout Straight) helps my hair get up to 4x straighter while the blue one (Damage Control) provides my hair with 97% damage protection. With these as my hair’s bestfriends, I am confident that each and every angle puts my crowning glory at its best.

Special thanks to Media Contacts for the package :D

Cash Plans 101: Hired Help

I had no out-of-town trips but I made sure I would be of great use. I bought a gallon of avocado green- colored paint for my room's concrete wall. This complements the plum-colored paint I used on the wooden wall few weeks ago.

I love to do men's work. Maybe it is because when I was a child, my Daddy were always out of town for work so Mom and I needed to do some chores which were supposed to be men's tasks. I find carpentry a fun job so I thought of doing it over the long weekend. While seriously accomplishing my mission, I thought of paying myself as a reward for a job well done. I worked for one day and a half (from Saturday afternoon until Sunday night; with breaks in between, of course!) so in a P300/day basis, I accumulated P450 from doing the chores myself.

The next day, which was Sunday, I alone finished my two-week load of dirty laundry instead of hiring a laundrywoman. In other words, I again earned P300 that day. It was really fun to earn money knowing that you were making good use of your idle time. Let's give that credit to my Mom because she's the one who taught me to value time, money and effort.
I also had my pedicure done by my personal pedicurist called "self." If I go to a salon or call my neighbor Madi for a pedicure service, it would cost me P50. I took it as a challenge to clean my own nails and guess what? I succeeded.
All in all, I earned P800 for my hard work and productivity just within three non-working days. I congratulate myself for the accomplishments. Now I can tell myself, "Balato naman diyan!"

Paint
Laundry
Pedicure

My Top 7 Emerging Influential Blogs and Why?

We walked by the plaza's fountain, crossed the highway and made vehicles stop for a while so we could get our shots on the midstreet and did our wacky and candid shots along the shores of Manila Bay.Of course, I was at my best! Its three layers of protection - UVB Protection SPF 24, UVA Protection PA++ and Vitamin B3 - help keep my skin fair and smooth, in a light, non-sticky, daily moisturizer, even under the sun.

Your skin deserves both pampering and protection, too, so grab a bottle now!

EscortSite What?

In my case, I have changed my template thrice already just within a span of eight months. I really make sure that the ones I use is a reflection of what I really want to portray in my online journal; that is why I am having a hard time.

I have come across a new website called EscortSite, which offers a wide variety of web designs, modules and widgets. What’s great about this escort site is that it is easy to navigate and has a full content management system that supports bloggers – professionals and beginners alike – in developing their websites.

A friend from high school has just started a blog. As a blogger since November 2005, I have the knowledge, skills and experience to help her out and be of great help to her advantage. I would recommend EscortSite to her so she can choose the perfect escort web design for her blog.

Why Travel?

How can you bring color into your life if you are just sitting in a corner – afraid of what’s waiting for you outside the real world – and die doing nothing? You will perish without experiencing the world, and with no one to notice that you are already gone.

“Ang buhay ay isang libro. Iisang pahina lang ang nababasa ng taong hindi naglalakbay,” Bob Ong says. I agree with him because in my 28 years of existence, I have travelled much and from these travels, I have realized that the world doesn’t revolve around me; that I am not the center of the solar system; and that there are a lot more to discover and learn than just being ME.

You will get to appreciate the things around you – the people, the food, the culture and the environment – and you will be forever thankful for being able to get out of your shell, to spread your wings, to learn how to fly and to soar high to have a perfect view of the world from above the skies.

Life is a journey. We must enjoy it to the fullest until we realize the sole purpose of our existence: to be happy and to be able to share this happiness with the people we meet along the way.

This is my entry to the Let's Go Sago! anniversary contest entitled, "Why Travel?" of Jonel Uy. I was asked to fill in the blank and complete the sentence: I believe _______. I should have used one of my best travel photos and answered, "I believe that life begins when you decide to step out of your comfort zone," to promote my blog's slogan but the space for characters was not enough.

I had to think of another answer.

I started dieting last August 13 for a friend’s wedding on August 21. I had a week of eight (8) glasses of water each day and no rice at all. It has been difficult for me because my colleagues love to eat and I am not used to skipping heavy meals. But I found out that I do not have to skip meals; that I do not have to deprive myself from eating food I crave for; nothing to avoid but rice.

So I had a week of no overindulgence and only moderate eating. I set my mind that rice should be a no-no and I urged myself to always get a glassful of water every time I felt I had to drink. Vegetables were a requirement as I had to get vitamins, minerals and fibers. Meat was a must-have, too, for energy and muscle building. Most especially, chocolates were always a weeklong favorite.

Was it effective? Yes. From being 146 lbs., I am now 144.5 lbs. - not a great amount of loss but at least, I've lost some fats in just 7 days. My arms got thinner; I just need some exercise to get them more toned and to prevent them from sagging. My waistline got slimmer, too. I've noticed the curves getting more obvious. I just love the new me, a more confident Nicely that I used to be.

Discipline and self-control are the main attitudes one must possess when having a weight loss diet. If you lack them, one would not be successful in taking away unwanted fats from his or her system. A nutrition diet plan shared by other dieters and websites will also be of great help.

To know more about my one-week diet program, you can visit my diet blog: This is For My Bikini.

Five Questions to Solve a Problem

Recently, I have been questioning myself what I really wanted. Am I happy with what I am doing? Does it serve my purpose well? It's just that until now I am on the process of thinking about what to do and what possible solutions are there to make things better; to make me feel better; and to give me a better future.

Listening to an audio book entitled, "How to Solve Problems Quickly and Effectively," by Zig Ziglar, I happened to clearly see the signs across the foggy road. I have been weighing things over and over for the past days and have been asking my family and closest friends for some advice. Yes, each of them is an eye-opener, but the decision still depends on me. It still leaves me hanging, though; but at least I am moving forward.

Now, I want to share with you the five (5) questions we have to raise in order to solve problems quickly and effectively. Here goes...

1. What's great about this? Or what's good about this? Or what could be great about this?

2. What's not perfect yet?

3. What am I willing to do to make it the way I want it?

4. What am I willing to no longer do in order to make things the way I wanted?

5. How can I do what's necessary to get this job done and enjoy the process?

I have gone reflective on the subject as I am about to make a big decision that could change my life: actually a make-or-break decision, it is. I ask myself what good could it give me? Years from now, would I be able to harvest the fruit of the seed I would have to sow now? Would it really benefit me? Presupposing that it's gonna be perfect, what should I do? Are there any means to make the situation better? Well, obviously, I have to focus on the solutions. I am willing to do this but I am not sure if this would work. What should I do to get this job done while enjoying it? I know I have to sacrifice and think of the long-term solutions.

This is a really a pain on my neck. It's getting into my nerve. Water please.

I am still not ready to elaborate more as things are yet stable. I just want to give you hints on how to get your problems done. For those who are having confusions at this time, jot down these five questions and answer them, and don't just answer them verbally. Write them down and contemplate on it.

Just a piece of advice, play with your problems, enjoy them and grow from them. That's what I am trying to do now. Seize the day, guys!

"In The Presence of My Enemies" by Gracia Burnham

Now I am glad that just this morning, I have finished it.

"In The Presence of My Enemies," by Gracia Burnham is a must-read book. The Burnham couple has a lot of God's messages to tell. Their wisdom, faith in God and positive outlook on life amidst the dangers in the jungle are attitudes we should emulate in order to be better individuals.

As Gracia tells their story of captivity and of how they managed to deal with the Abu Sayyaf, there were many times that I cried - with hurt, pity and sympathy - for them having to experience this misfortune. Most of the times, I can relate with her, making me see a side of myself I didn't like, just like when she said, "There was a Gracia I barely knew existed: fearful Gracia, selfish Gracia, bitter Gracia, angry-at-God Gracia. That wasn't only me, but it was a bigger part of me than I wanted to accept."

I also learned a lot about the terrorist group, Abu Sayyaf, and their battle for jihad. Is it really worth the blood? Is it really worth human lives? Perhaps I wouldn't understand because I am not a Muslim; and I am sure that there are some Muslims out there who don't actually believe in violence as the only means to reclaim their land and to follow the words of Allah. I know not all Muslims want war and death; not all Muslim warriors know the real meaning of jihad; and not all Abu Sayyaf members love what they are doing - there are some who are just forced to be one. I have no right to question Islam, we are all entitled to our own religion. I just wish and pray that peace be on Earth.

How I admire Martin and Gracia's courage to live! What situation they got into was really terrifying and with God's guidance, they surmounted all the challenges. Maybe Martin has died at the very finish line - he was almost there - but as he dies, he lives. His contribution to the world is immeasurable; he is such a great man.

Here are some passages I happened to favoritely jot down while reading the book:

"Everyone is tempted, but you have a choice about what to do with that temptation. God always works on the heart of a person. It's not outside temptations that make us sin; it's our sinful heart, and God wants to change that heart."

"It is not what we have; it is what we do with what we have."

"No problem is ever too tough to overcome, no ordeal is too grim to endure."

"Isn't it amazing how the human mind can find humor in even the darkest situations?"

"God doesn't always look at things the way we do. God's ways are higher than ours, and his thoughts beyond our comprehension. The secret things belong to the Lord our God."

"God has much to teach us about forgiveness, but the place to begin is forgiving ourselves."
I also want to adopt Gracia's promise to herself one night while Martin was having a hard time: "From this moment on, I will never leave his side when it is time to sleep, no matter what the consequences." I think this is one guide that I can use to make my relationships last. No matter what happens, even how mad I am or how problematic is someone, I won't turn my back on that person. I will try my best to understand and be calm.

There are still more inspiring quotes from Martin and Gracia but I will leave it to your reading, because it is really worth your time. Other than the quotes, their story of captivity, their love story and their strong relationship with God is what made the book truly precious. In fact, I got the chance to send a message to Mrs. Burnham through the Martin and Gracia Foundation website to express my admiration and thanks for being an inspiration to all. I am still waiting for a response; that is, if Gracia is not too busy to read it and reply.

Now I want to end my post by reiterating what Clay Bowlin, the preacher during Martin's funeral, said: "Gracia was rescued from the jungle by a helicopter; Martin was rescued from the jungle on angels' wings."

La Luz, When Will I Ever Touch You?

I want to go swimming. Well, I believe that swimming rejuvenates the soul. It is one way to flush out all the negative energies I got from being so workaholic for the past few weeks.
2. I want to go out-of-town. I need to change environment. I promised myself before that even once a month, I shall go to places I have never been before. La Luz has always been in my wish list. 3. I need to breathe some fresh air. The concrete forest is eating me up. I need space. 4. I need some time for myself. I can read a book. I can try out new dishes. I can have a morning walk. I can explore the shore. I can take pictures. I can hike Mt. Dagulgol. I can have a whole body massage. I can talk to strangers and meet new friends. I can bring Yobs and some family and friends along and share the vacation with them, too. I can do whatever I want. There are no limits.5. I can sleep-all-I-can. That is, if I would be there alone. I can sleep all day without hearing the honks of cars, the tapping of computer keyboards, the noise of Manila. I can sleep all night with the chirping of the birds, the splash of the waves, the rustling of leaves as my lullaby. But of course, if I have companions, all we would do is LAUGH and that would be better!

~♥~♥~♥~
Want to join me? Maybe you want to check the place and the rates HERE.

Photos taken from La Luz Resort website ♥ Thanks!

Baguio Day Tour: The Detour

We had to cancel our trip to Tam-awan Village. It saddened me because it should have been my first time there. But anyway, let's move on.

Here's a list of what we did on that day and some photos to share.

1. We ate lunch at Sizzling Plate. We ordered pork sisig and fried chicken. Pictures of food will be posted on my food blog, Patikim Ako, soon.

2. We went to the Pink Sisters' Convent. Another quiet and hearty conversation with God. No pictures. Nakakahiyang kumuha ng litrato sa gitna ng mga taong taimtim na nagdarasal. No pictures outside the convent, too. Umuulan, mababasa si Foxy.

3. We went to Good Shepherd. We bought some pasalubongs for some special people back home. I ordered ube jam for Mom and Dad, and guava jelly for Yobs. We also had brewed coffee arabica and so cheesy ensaymada while waiting for the rain to stop. It didn't stop, though.

4. We went Ukay-Ukay Shopping. There were thousands of pretty dresses, tops, jackets, bags and shoes in store but I ended up at buying none. No budget and tamad magbitbit. It only came out that we went there just to window shop. Poor us. Again, no pictures. Ang daming mga mukhang goons sa paligid.

5. We looked for Fresh Strawberries at the Market. Mama Heart needed to buy some for cute Migs. No pictures: self-explanatory.

6. We ate Lugaw. Sa may palengke, malapit sa may paanan ng overpass ng Magsaysay. In fairness, nasarapan ako. Umuulan kasi. No pictures. Reason: Please refer to #4.

7. We had dinner at Don Henrico's. We ordered Tutto de Mare and Supreme Pizza. I loved their pasta, the shrimp... Oh! The Shrimp!!!

8. We Prepared for the Uber Cold Bus Trip. We have read from Victory Liner's warning poster that night trips tend to be really very cold, so Heart and I each bought a blanket for a more comfortable trip.

I also had a cup of black coffee before departure.

And what's best way to enjoy the trip than to have someone by your side to keep you warm. Unfortunately, the seat beside me was left vacant. Buti pa si Heart, may Zyre. Ako, walang Yobs... Si Will? We are just glad to know that 90% of us were chosen to stay. However, it also saddens us that one of our dear officemates was left behind and was told that he has until next week to clear his post and to process his clearance. This is one proof that the P-Noy administration is really serious in streamlining the system. We just have to go with the flow if we really want to be retained, at least for the next three months [as rumors say]. I just hope for the better.

Status Quo

To maintain the status quo is to keep the things the way they presently are. The related phrase status quo ante, literally "the state in which before", means "the state of affairs that existed previously." (Wikipedia)

The new administration, under the able leadership of President Noynoy, has instructed us - coterminous employees at the Correspondence Office - to continue our operations until further notice. This leaves us in a floating work status, and until now we are not yet informed about how things are going to be.

How are we now? Are they going to absorb us? Will they retain us? Do we still have to come to the office everyday? Is it pay day today? Is it true that they are going to dissolve our office? Have you applied for other jobs? Where will we be after OP? These are the few common questions that we both say and hear from each other - almost everyday; questions that are still left unanswered.

I hope that before July ends, everything will be settled. The long wait is prolonging the agony in us. I pray that our future head of office, who will be appointed by P-Noy, considers and reappoints us. And if not, at least tell us immediately so we can change plans, make decisions and find better jobs as soon as possible.

As of now, I already applied at various [good-performing] private companies and received positive feedbacks from them. In case it is time for me to say goodbye to OP, at least I have a set of options to choose from.

I Wanted To Be A Doctor

He was operated because some organs malfunctioned doctors had to remove his pancreas and cut a section of his small intestines. As I waited for my turn at the Blood Bank, I watched doctors and nurses passed by me. How I envy them wearing their lab coats and nursing scrubs.

When I was little, I always dreamt of becoming a doctor – just as how much I wanted to become an astronaut, a scientist or a lawyer. Once I enrolled in a caregiver course but due to some valid reasons, I stopped. I thought being a caregiver would lead me to what I really wanted. Unfortunately, I did not even have the chance to wear my medical scrubs.

If I would have regrets in life, not going to medical school is one. But as what I have said earlier, my priorities have already changed and my dreams have been altered by simpler ones. But who knows? It is not yet too late for me. I am still young and things are, indeed, changing.

For doctors, nurses and medical practitioners out there, you can buy medical uniforms, scrub suits and scrub hats online by visiting the Blue Sky Scrubs website.

At Sonya's Garden with the Boyfriend

His mother died just recently and I just thought he deserved a break, so I asked him for a date in Tagaytay.

Our first plan on his birthday (June 26) was to visit Sonya's Garden, but due to unexpected turn of events, the trip was cancelled. Last June 30, since it was a holiday, we headed to Sonya's. Yobs fetched me up at the house then we headed to Pala-Pala where we rode a bus going to Alfonso/Tagaytay. We were directed to jump off at Alfonso Crossing and ride a jeepney leading to the Buck Estate where we took a tricycle to Sonya's Country Bed and Breakfast. It wasn't really hard to get there when you commute, contrary to what I've read from other blogs.
Upon arriving at the reception area, I gave my name to the receptionist. I already texted her early that morning for a table reservation for two. No worries. Then, we were led to a corner table and without questions, they automatically served the dishes.

For our appetizer...

Garden Salad Greens. Freshly harvested lettuce and arugula topped with broad beans, eggs, cucumber, jackfruit, mango, singkamas and melon. I only uploaded the pics of stone marks for documenting purposes. I've been very busy these past few days and I really have no time to blog. To my readers, I am really sorry for the blog hiatus mode I am experiencing now. I hope you understand.

Computer System Upgrade, Soon!

At first, it was just okay with me to have an operating system, e.g. Microsoft Office Programs, since all my tasks were done using these softwares.

Now I want to upgrade my computer by buying additional programs and accessories. My old EPSON printer is not compatible with my computer so I plan to sell it at an affordable price and buy a new one. I am content with my 17"-wide LCD screen so I do not have to buy a new computer monitor. Instead, I am going to save money to buy the perfect set of computer speakers, with a home theater effect, so I could enjoy watching movies and listening to music during rest days.

I am also thinking of buying a laptop, but I guess it isn't necessary as for now. The best thing to do is to accessorize my currently-owned desktop and add more softwares, including anti-virus programs.

Feeling Like A Goddess on Royal Sofa Sets

Though we were not so complete, we made sure Lolo would really be happy seeing most of us. Time was so short and I really would like to stay longer but I had no choice; job's call, I need to go back as soon as possible :P And just like my rushed vacation, this would also be a rushed blog post as I will only provide you random photos which I took during my visit to my hometown. I am sharing with you some of my shots for you to check on our beloved province. That more than marbles, we are also gifted with wonderful sceneries and all.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center;
