Minions Party for my 5 years old son Zyan Daniell. The preparation was not as extravagant compare to others minions party you have seen... The birthday preparation were more in DIY minions birthday stuff made by my ever supportive Mom , sad to say i wasn't able to help during the making of diy stuff,. The color was more in yellow-blue combination which was cute combination of minions :) The venue was held outside our humble abode, which gave us big discount comparing to rent a restaurant place. The expense for renting a space poured in foods and prizes for the kids. Moreover, Kids were enjoyed during the Magic show. Of course , since its minion birthday party our guest was there also and gave a smile to them" Minion Mascot" was pretty funny during the event, he danced and wave hello to each kids there. My son really had fund and he enjoyed so much which he appreciated those who came and celebrated with him during his special day. I thanks all those who helped made this day memorable :)

It's been 8 months had passed that i came here in Dubai. The pain of being away from your family especially from your child is horrible wishing you could do something about it.

But all you could do is just stare at their pictures, always wishing, hoping, and praying that they are doing fine.

Of all women's right, the greatest is being a Mother... Its a big sacrifice to for go a life with my angels ensuring a better life for them.

Thanks to technology I got the chance to have a chat & look at their latest pictures on the net & whenever I hear my son voice "mommy" it's a music to my ears. It's not enough to ease my homesickness but it's the only way I can reached out with my loves.

Love of family is the most powerful motivating factor that drives every Filipino parent to succeed.

Im a certified stage mom and would definitely say that I did a great job (especially on a tight budget) to make my son’s birthday a memorable one not only for my baby but for those who attended the party.

My son is seriously addicted to Angry Birds. "Can I play Angry Birds on your phone?" is heard daily.

Months, weeks, and days of thinking what theme for Zyan 3rd birthday...and now, i came up with this... and even i had an early preparation i still have the panic buying of somes stuff at the end. LOL. Anyway the theme is " ANGRYBIRDS "So to help stay within budget, I had to get crafty. Picture shows the prizes for Zyan's birthday...so i bought lots of lotsssssa angry birds sticker, angrybirds school supplies :) I know that these can be used in their school stuff. Hello June :) 2 more months to go... My little boy turn 3..waa... oh..no....before when he's infant i want him to grow fast but now he's toddler ...I don't like him to grow up hehehehehe....I like the cuteness and for his being curious, and oh so bubbly like me. He never ran out of why when you will be talking to him. If you talk to him be sure to answer all his " WHY". Sometimes when i talk to him i tell him to say "okay" to stop him for asking why. That's life of toddler, keep asking even you already answer the question.

And 2 more months to go. It's his 3rd birthday.Starting today, i have to think about the theme for his birthday.I know most of moms are excited to celebrate their child birthday. So as early as now, i need to plan for advance , what, where and how i will make my son's grand day extra especial. :)

So What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is the art of applying essential oils to suit individual needs. The oils work directly on the chemistry of the body via the skin. Aromatherapy is a form of alternative medicine that uses volatile liquid plant materials, more commonly known as essential oils. Essential oils are extracts that contain the substances that give plants and trees their smell. The oils are produced by small glands in the petals, leaves, stems and bark of many plants and trees. In nature, the scents are released slowly, but when heated or crushed, the oil glands burst and release the plant's aroma much more powerfully.

It isn't exactly known when or where the art of aromatherapy began. It is believed that the Chinese knowledge of medicinal oils may have reached the west from the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans. A French chemist called René-Maurice Gattefossé coined the term aromatherapy to describe the process of using plant oils therapeutically. The story goes that, while working in a perfume factory in the early 20th century, he burnt his hand and instinctively grabbed some lavender oil and poured it onto the burn. He was so impressed by how quickly and cleanly the burn healed, he began studying the healing powers of plant oils.

The first recorded use of plants in England was in the 13th century and from then on essential oils have become widely used as perfumes, antiseptics and medicines.

So how does Aromatherapy work?

Aromatherapy usually works by massage. Massages are usually given as a relaxing treatment covering the stress areas such as the back, shoulders and legs. Aromatherapy oils can also be inhaled, either by using an oil burner or by using them in the bath. Aromatherapy is believed to be suitable for people of all ages. It is claimed that aromatherapy can treat many conditions such as nervous disorders, depression, anger and stress.

What are some of the plants used in Aromatherapy and what are their benefits?

Eucalyptus oil is often used in combination with Mint to provide relief for the airways when suffering from a cold or flu.

Black pepper has a sharp and spicy aroma. It is Commonly used for muscular aches and pains and for stimulating the circulation . It is also useful for bruises, since it stimulates the circulation. Combining Aromatheray with a sensual masage or sex toys is both safe and recommended.

Lavender oil is used as an antiseptic, to soothe minor cuts and burns, to calm and relax, and to soothe headaches and migraines.

Yarrow oil is known to reduce joint inflammation and to relieve cold and flu symptoms.

Jasmine, Rose, Sandalwood and Ylang-ylang oil are used as aphrodisiacs.

Lemon oil is used to relieve stress due to its uplifting properties.

So, does aromatherapy work?

Despite a lack of good research proving that essential oils could work by either stimulating your sense of smell or being absorbed through your skin, in theory it is possible to predict the effects of the oils based on their chemical make up. However, there is no conclusive scientific evidence that the theories are true, or false, and there has been little research to try and prove them right or wrong.

I miss my Husband

It's been 6 months now, my husband work abroad and I miss him so much.

I’ve gotten myself involved in a few big projects, set some goals, and done all the things I’m supposed to do to make the time go faster. To make myself forget that I miss him.

But I do still miss him. I still want his hand to hold. I still want his eyes to look into. I still want to fall into his hug at the end of the day.

I want to share the laughing with him. I want to cry on his shoulder. I want to see him light up with delight at the joy our son bring him, and I want to share a little of the weariness and frustration that come along with the job of parenting too.

I want him. Plain and simple.

Distance thing is so awful that you barely have no choice but to suppress that feeling which pains you before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning.Everything simply reminds you of him. The thought of him away and that it will take years for you be with him again is like a bad dream turned reality. Paranoia gets in the way but if you truly believe on your Relationship and the power of your love that you get through and his absence makes you love him more and more each day. Indeed my husband is my BEST FRIEND and Formidable Enemy at the same time that's why I miss my Hubby.

I miss you each day in my life, I miss everything about you, I miss your smile and your laughter, I miss your tender touch, I miss your gentleness and kindness, I miss you when you leave my sight, I miss you all the time

Because Love is in the air and it’s time to celebrate. Valentine’s Day is all about love, as it should be.

Well,before heading to Spa We had some dinner with my Little boy.. and he show some giggling smile to the camera :)

I’m not celebrating with my husband because he's far away with me...This is my first time celebrating Valentines day without him as a couple..

Therefore, I'm making Valentine’s Day a day of love of myself. Taking time to make my body feel alive, healthy and shining will lift my spirits in ways an entire box of chocolates won’t do. I and my Mom are having good time with Spa at Spa Serendip.. We enjoyed the Sauna and Body Massage with a cup of very soothing ginger tea..We choose the Swedish Massage which is relaxing massage using gliding strokes, kneading, friction, and striking strokes along with gentle stretching and rocking.It was very relaxing. I must say!!During the 45 minutes I could not say whether I was awake, sleeping, or dreaming.We were revived after our time was done and were treated to some herbal tea. Our muscles and minds were relaxed and flushed and it took a few minutes to become fully aware of the world around us. It was a small escape that we explored due to a recommendation, and it is from that I wish to pass the knowledge of this little gem on to anyone else looking for a professional massage parlour. Chinese New Year is round the corner again! It just seemed like yesterday that I celebrated Christmas and New Year… Don’t you think so?

Our love for Tikoy, Chowfan, and Noodles is true but it's not enough for us to be misconstrued as Chinese.

Last January 23, the Chinese celebrating its 4709th year. Here in the Philippines, the Chinese New Year is considered one of most important and most celebrated festival among the Filipino-Chinese community.

The Chinese New Year does not have a specified date. It varies every year, depending on the lunisolar Chinese calendar. This calendar is marked by 12 animals that comprises the Chinese Zodiac. 2012 is the year of the dragon.

Each year, Chinese communities all over the world celebrates the coming of a new year with hope of attracting prosperity, peace, and closer family ties. Here in our country, I have witnessed Chinese families preparing and displaying a variety of food for the festival. Dragon parades and dances are also practiced, particularly in China towns across the country.

Holiday Vacay at Boracay Day 1

Boracay! It was a very long trip for us coz' we actually came all the way from CDO. We travel By air, land and water :)

Our 1st trip: Arrived at Iloilo around 4pm then we decided to stay , and we will just catch the first bus going to Caticlan.

Our Second Trip : Iloilo to Caticlan. Well, It was a beautiful day and a fun party! Last Aug. 24, 2011 we celebrated Zyan's 2nd birthday by having a shindig at our place. We decided to have a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Theme party since Zyan loves Mickey Mouse.

So, we decorated the house in all sorts of Mickey mouse balloons, Bantings and other party supplies.

These are zyan's candy for prices and "biba" where children love to catch the candy when thrown to them.

Z's First Summer Swimming :)

It is summertime again! This is the first time that my baby will go on a summer outing. It is really fun to enjoy the heat of summer with your family. I love outings! This is a great chance to have family bonding, an opportunity for my baby for social development. He loves splashing water at home and I am happy to saw him having fun in a real swimming pool.

Important things to remember
1. Never leave your child unattended. In the case of my son, he likes the water very much that whenever I pull him out of the water, he keeps coming back to the pool by himself. Also, they might accidentally slide on the slippery side of the pool.
2. To prevent him from drinking water (that is with chlorine), I avoid the part of the pool where the others usually jump and play.
3. As much as possible, since I did not apply him with sunblock, I don’t let him swim within 11am to 3pm. Otherwise, we go to the area with good shade to avoid direct sunlight.

My little boy is growing up way too fast. He's talking and jumping and dancing. He's learning how to use spoon and fork and he drink out of a big cup and when eating he is ready for a booster seat instead of a high chair. He's way independent and so outgoing. He can slide down the big slide without any help except a watchful eye and He's about to start potty training in a couple months. The things he does everyday are so cute and even though sometimes those terrible come out. Looking on his innocent eyes keeps me smile. It keeps my stress away when looking at him happy with great smile on his face. Oh..I'm gonna miss my little boy like this. I wouldn't be the person I am today without him and although I am extremely sad to see him growing up and hitting so many milestones he'll always be my baby boy. He is my everything.

I want my Body Back

With the exception of those few women that incredibly get their pre-pregnancy bodies back at lightening pace, the rest of us have to fight for it. This is not easy when you are not getting the sleep you need, you have you newborn clinging to you for each and every need, and your husband needs you as well.

Something that consumes many new mothers after childbirth is the craving to get their old bodies back. Quite frankly, I can entirely understand this. It is only natural that after 9 long months of carrying a child and having pregnancy wreak havoc on our hormones, waistline and other bodily functions, we might want to get our old bodies back. Don't feel bad, or guilty about wanting this, but know that patience will be required before we can squeeze back into our favorite jeans.

Don't make the same mistake that many new moms make right now. Don't think that racing to get back in shape after childbirth is a high priority, or that the body is ready to be whipped back into shape. Realize that you just gave birth, which is a fairly traumatic experience for the body. Whether you gave birth naturally or by C-section your body needs time to heal and adjust to no longer being pregnant and giving birth. So if you gave birth in the last 30 days... relax. Focus more right now on sleep and tending to your baby.

Then, after you have come out of the fog of the first 30 days, focus you efforts on being vibrant and healthy - not worrying about how many days it will be till you get your old body back. You need to be realistic in your goals. Stop looking at stick thin models and comparing yourself to them. Beating yourself up isn't going to help anyone. Getting back into shape takes time, and it will be helpful for you to know that there are numerous studies that show you can actually be fitter and stronger after child birth then you were before.

With that being said there you need to make a timeline with realistic goals for you to achieve. These goals need to include healthy eating habits as well as exercise. The long term goal is for you to feel more vibrant and alive then you ever have before. You can do this. Start small, incorporate one good eating habit at a time. Don't try to tackle all your eating problems at once, try crash dieting, or launch head first into a vigorous exercise program. This approach can only lead to injury, disappointment and frustration.

Start small and then as your body lets you know that it is ready, you can gradually start to increase the intensity of exercise. Don't be fooled into thinking that low impact activity isn't having an affect. Even a short daily walk can have a powerful impact on the body and aid its recovery. Consistency is really the key to you getting your body back and being stronger and healthier than before.

It is perfectly reasonable to expect that you can get back into shape, rebuild, and even improve on your pre-baby body. The notion that moms are doomed to a life of 'frumpy' or 'matronly' bodies and style after childbirth is now considered old fashion. But just remember - slow and steady will get you better results for your overall wellbeing than mad exercise and dieting. There are more and more mothers these days breaking the norm and working to build strong, fit, healthy bodies, which bounce back from pregnancy with ease.

1) What is my goal? I want to lose __kg in __ time.
2) Why do I want to achieve this goal? (if possible, come up with 50 reasons)
3) If I do not achieve it, what pains will I have? (come up with as many reasons as possible)
4) If I achieve it, what happiness will I have? (come up with as many reasons as possible)
5) What will happen to me if I continue my current situation for the next 10 years?
6) Then when do I want to take action?

Some solutions I can offer you for diet:
Breakfast: eat fruits/drink fruit juice
Lunch: Less carbo, more veg and fruits, less seafood, meat and eggs
Dinner: Same as lunch but no solid food after 8pm. Soups are great dinners

If you want to exercise to enhance the speed of weight loss. Go for some light jogging or do something you enjoy like an aerobic class or kick boxing class...

I LOVE every single thing about being a mom! I really do! I had no idea this little person would turn my world upside down in such a wonderful way.

I am a better person because I’m a Mom. It has brought a whole new meaning to the wordLOVE for me. There is nothing like it.

I love being a mom because it is the most rewarding thing I have done or will ever do in my lifetime. I’m actually shaping the life of a human being – scary at times, but I’m up for the challenge. My son is the epitome of the love my husband and I have for each other, and represents a bright future for our family.

I love being a Mom when I can make my son feel happy and secure. Nothing makes me more happy than seeing him with a smile on his face, knowing that my love helped contribute to it.

I love being a mom because I get to watch my children evolve and find what they love and learn from them.

I love watching my son interact with other kids. They seem to have a language all their own. I can see his own unique personality shine. He loves to make others laugh and is quite the comic.
