My daughter just finished her SPM and will be continuing with her higher education. I asked her where she would want to study. She told me that she wanted to study in Kuala Lumpur. I was puzzled because I do not know anyone from Kuala Lumpur nor do I have anyone who stays nearby her college. So, what I have to do is that I have to find her a room nearby her college. For dinner during the first night in Orchard Road, my son took us to Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe in ION Mall. This cafe reminds me of Kim Gary in Kuala Lumpur, the style and the food are almost similiar...

From today onwards, I will be adding a new theme to this blog... besides giving glory and praises to my Lord God, I will post up the food abundance He has given to me... to us.. Without His provisions, there will not be so much enjoyment in savouring all that is laid on our tables...

As you all know, I love to eat... healthy, unhealthy, I eat but I do not eat in big quantities.... I like to try varieties and love traveling to try out new food that I have not tasted before..

Let me tell you one of my "weaknesses" and this might be very embarrassing to reveal too.. hahaha...

At times when I go to sleep, I think of food.. and my mouth sort of "twitches" and "yum-ming" like I am really tasting the desired food!! Gosh.. have you all experienced that before???

My friend is a florist.. for the past few years, she presented bouquet of flowers for my birthday. This year I love the sweet roses she made... though there were only three stalks, the sweet thoughts were there in this mini bouquet.

They are fresh flowers and they lasted for nearly a week or so. It is such a waste to see them fade away, if only there were everlasting, how nice they would be.

But in this world, nothing is everlasting, earth will fade away but our Lord's love is eternity!

Oh dear, my LCD television set is in trouble! Last night when I switched on the TV, it had a three inches dark patch showing horizontally across the screen. How awful! This morning I quickly called up the service center and the man relayed these sad news to me. He told that it is no point getting the TV repaired, the cost will be almost as high as getting a new TV! Gosh, that is really sad news! I remember buying this appliance five or six years ago, don't tell me that I have to brush it aside now? It is just a waste to put it aside and not repairing it, right? What should I do actually? I better ask for a second opinion before I purchase a new set.
In fact another one of my TV is also going to "conk" out soon, my son has been pestering me to get a full set of home theater, it is not every expensive, so he said. I read this book recently - Vanity Drive by Yvonne Lee. Initially I thought it is just another one of those "groom up" books but I was very wrong. From the first chapter onwards, I was so engrossed by her writings on her experiences from a young girl to a mother of three kids now.

Her wits and the way she writes is amusing and I am sure many ladies will agree with me when they read this book. There are some parts that made me laugh .... yes, very true.. just like Us Ladies!...

Their Prime Minister has announced a five day holiday for evacuation... She mentioned that the dikes might not hold out for long.. "dikes" means an embankment for controlling or holding back the waters of the sea or a river.... hearing this, it is sad.......

As if this is not dangerous enough, there is another problem lurking.... Crocodiles are rampant in Thailand and it is reported that scores of them have escaped from the farms during the floods....

Let's pray for the floods to subside in no time... and all will be well....

I was thinking, "Gosh.. pastor is around... so were other professional musicians among those present for the buffet... sure embarrassing.... " Quickly I said a word of prayer to ask God for help.. "Let me be oblivious of the crowd, lets just sing to You alone.. help me to play good music for You alone, Lord, help me to overcome my self consciousness fears........."

I believe in God protecting us... I believe in Him talking to us in small voices... prompting.. in a way...

The other night as I was upstairs blogging away, totally engrossed, I heard a sound of an insect somewhere above my head. I brushed it aside... few seconds later, another noise... like it fell on the floor or fell on something that made a sound... and that got me very startled! I got up straightaway and expected to find a cockroach or what on the floor... but Nothing!

Before I could sat down again, I heard some sssss sound... OOPPSSS!!! I quickly ran downstairs....

I suddenly remember that I didn't turn off the gas stove.. the kettle of water had been boiling for more than half hour! The water remaining was only half....

Thank you, God! I know You have sent something to scare me out of my wits.. hahahaa... something that made me get up from my chair instead of engrossing myself in my blogging...

I know it was You... and all the time, it is You.... Thank you!!

Hair Treatment

Both my brothers have less hair at the front, maybe it is genetic? I am not so sure but as far as I remember, my own father did not have this problem. But both of brothers do, another reason that might cause the loss of hair might be due to the hard water when they were staying in another country. I am not sure whether that might be the reason, all I know is they really do need some treatment if they want to restore back their hair. LOL... They might look a bit older than their age, to me, they are fine as they are, men who looks more matured are cool, right? Anyway, if they decide to do some treatments, they can log into this website where the average cost for hair transplants is not that high. Two Events

I have two events coming up in church, Saturday and Monday. Practice for worshipers is on at 5pm tomorrow and my throat is still so itchy. I have to pray harder for the healing of my throat and running nose. My voice will definitely be hoarse but that does not matter, as long as I do not have to cough in the midst of a song sung, then it is fine. On Monday, it is not so bad, I just have to play the guitar for my sister during the MSF, I do not have to sing. But I pray that on Sunday service, my voice will be healed.

Great Sound System

My son and I just went to Courts to have a look at their products there. It was the first time to this mall for both of us and we were amazed to see that the crowd was there in the electrical section. There were a number of items on promotion and the prices were definitely cheaper than other electrical companies. We walked around looking at computers, speakers, television sets and we finally realized that those items on sale were actually of older models. It is not surprising that the prices are cheaper because new stocks are coming in.
Andy is interested in the getting a new television in his room, he is planning to change his room to his own theatre. Of course, he needs to get my permission first, he is still in college, no way I am going to allow him that but it would be nice if we could get a good system, something like the TVee Model 30 sound system. Perhaps I should get one set, not now but when he finishes his degree in two years time!
