Are we really living in a world where AI is more trustworthy than the doctors in our hospitals?

There is such a thing as too much information. When WebMD came out, it made everyone believe that the five minutes of research about their symptoms was about the same as 8+ years of medical school. A small cough could mean that you had some purrfectly obscure diagnosis that only you could find. Don't get us wrong, sources of information like WebMD are very useful, but should always be verified with a doctor who actually did go to medical school.

Now, with the increasing popularity of AI, the same thing could happen. A treasure trove of information without proper context can lead to wildly different outcomes, but it can also catch the rare human errors that slip through the cracks. For example, just a few weeks ago, a man cured his doggo's terminal cancer by making a vaccine with the help of ChatGPT and other generative AI. You have to admit that that's pretty incredible.

One of the unfurtunate parts of being human is making mistakes, and those mistakes have consequences. One cat owner got a life-ending diagnosis for his fluffy feline, and was advised to let her pass as soon as possible, but something about the results just didn't make sense to him. So, he plugged in the results to ChatGPT, and that's when he discovered that the vet might be wrong. He went back in and demanded a new test, which ended up saving his cat's life. Seems that not everything around AI is terrible.

In most rescue stories, the rescue itself is the thing that is worth more than anything else. After about another year of living on their porch, his pawrents decided to retire him to the cushy indoor life, and we're happy to report that Tabs is loving his new life of luxury.

The Hound has been a feral cat for nearly his entire life. He got into trouble, got banned from some places, made himself a reputation… until he got older, decided to retire, and chose the one and only human that he wanted to live with.

Life as a stray cat is hard. You have to look for shelter, look for food, face the weather. There is a lot to do, and although many cats do it, probably because they don't know much else, we, as owners of cats, know just how much happier they would be getting spoiled at home. Cats love their cozy blankets that they curl up in. Cats love cuddling with us - occasionally, when they deem us worthy. Cats love being fed endlessly, having as much water as they could ever need, and always having a warm spot to warm up in.

It started with one unexpected visitor and quickly became a whole family

This family had moved out to the country years ago and never once saw a stray cat. Then, just a week after losing their cat, a tiny white cat quite literally dropped into their lives. On a day they almost wouldn't have been home, she tumbled down from a tree, walked right up like she belonged, and flopped over for belly rubs. Her collar was tangled, her leg caught, and they helped free her. From that moment, she stayed close.

They did everything they could to find an owner. Knocked on doors, posted online, had the vet check for a chip. Nothing. She was healthy, friendly, and clearly not going anywhere. Then came the surprise. She was pregnant. What started as one unexpected cat quickly became something much bigger.

About a month later, she gave birth to three kittens. Tiny, fluffy, and full of purrsonality right from the start. The idea of separating them didn't sit right, so they stayed together. The house filled up again, this time with four cats, and somehow it all made sense.
