Guess what?!! Finally one of the best Hong Kong dessert Hoi Lau Shan had put a step in Malaysia and 1-Utama being their first outlet.</p>
<p>I am very sure many of you that travel to Hong Kong will be familiar with this brand as its nearly available every where, something like our bubble tea Taiwan version. I rarely miss this dessert as everytime I went to Hong Kong upon arrival at the air port I would wallop 2-3 cups of these dessert before I take my public transportation. If you are a dessert lover then you would not want to miss it~</p>
<p><a title="Hoi Lau San (1) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7209707394/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7104/7209707394_4aab629451_z.jpg" alt="Hoi Lau San (1)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>Now most Malaysians need not travel to Hong Kong to take this dessert anymore as it available here now, located at first floor in front of Isetan at 1-Utama Old Wing. Its just a few days old and well, I just cant resist the temptation and faster came here to satisfy my crave hoping that what is serve here would be something similar to the ones in Hong Kong. Besides that, if I remember correctly those branches in Hong Kong do not have the word healthy dessert&#8230;hmmm , I guess here they serve healthy ones?</p>
<p>As I was sitting and happily place my order, many of passerby checking out their menu and many are skeptical on their dessert. .</p>
<p><a title="Hoi Lau San (2) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7209707762/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7072/7209707762_78f5ba4562_z.jpg" alt="Hoi Lau San (2)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Standing there and stare blankly then walk away.</p>
<p><a title="Hoi Lau San (3) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7209706852/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5076/7209706852_14c4fa8c88_z.jpg" alt="Hoi Lau San (3)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>Its more like a kiosk style that smack right in the middle of the new old wing and its pretty hard for you to miss this huge orange sign board.</p>
<p><a title="Hoi Lau San (4) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7209708074/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8151/7209708074_aa42dde1a1_z.jpg" alt="Hoi Lau San (4)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>Menu are the same compare to the ones in Hong Kong as I have just return there 2 months ago . .</p>
<p><a title="Hoi Lau San (5) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7209708290/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7094/7209708290_cf5f0e27d7_z.jpg" alt="Hoi Lau San (5)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>As I browse thru the menu one thing that caught my attention so hard is the pricing here, I would that that it cost a bomb to order and didnt know that it is so cheap here. A simple bowl of these dessert cost from RM9.90 onwards? OMG! In Hong Kong the ones that I usually order cost about HKD 48 = RM 24 per bowl here and I can say its at least 55% cheaper here!!!</p>
<p><a title="Hoi Lau San (6) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7209708566/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7080/7209708566_539b930656_z.jpg" alt="Hoi Lau San (6)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>Staring at the menu, I happily ordered all my favourites and to my disappointment one of my favorite which is with pamelo is out of stock as according to their waiter, he apologize as they are just a few days old and will restock very soon.</p>
<p><a title="Hoi Lau San (6.3) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7209709454/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5446/7209709454_23b1194423_z.jpg" alt="Hoi Lau San (6.3)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p><span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Mango Juice &amp; Mango Cube &#8211; Mango Jelly</strong></span> @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM 7.90</span>. I usually had 2 cups of these that filled with thick freshly blend mango, top with mango cubes and jelly at the bottom, that makes me slurppp non stop of this. Surprisingly, the taste is like 80% similiar just that its not so sweet compare to the ones in Hong Kong.</p>
<p><a title="Hoi Lau San (7) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7209708798/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7240/7209708798_d3ac9b6e9d_z.jpg" alt="Hoi Lau San (7)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #800000;">Mango Icey Sweetie Ball</span></strong> @<span style="color: #808000;"> RM 11.90</span> with freshly blend mango puree, mango cubes and glutinous ball. As near to Hong Kong version itself the glutinous ball is near to pretty hard not like our Malaysian version which is soft and chewy. Some of you might not like it.</p>
<p><a title="Hoi Lau San (8) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7209709086/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7244/7209709086_730f303976_z.jpg" alt="Hoi Lau San (8)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">One of the thing that you must not miss is this<strong><span style="color: #800000;"> Fresh Mango Mochi</span></strong> @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM 4.90 for 3 pieces</span></p>
<p><a title="Hoi Lau San (9.0) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7209709922/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8023/7209709922_99352b2830_z.jpg" alt="Hoi Lau San (9.0)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>Skin over here is a bit thick yet its still soft that is made from mango and its shove with one huge chunk of mango cubes inside and outer layer is rube with coconut. One of my favourite and for <span style="color: #808000;">RM4.90</span> I what 9 of these. Satisfying!</p>
<p><a title="Hoi Lau San (11) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7209710264/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7084/7209710264_b96c31fd5a_z.jpg" alt="Hoi Lau San (11)" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #800000;">Triple Mango Delight</span></strong> @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM 9.90</span></p>
<p><a title="Hoi Lau San (12) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7209710498/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7240/7209710498_d2d43ab58a_z.jpg" alt="Hoi Lau San (12)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>Filled with mango Ice cream, mango cubes, and a layer of mango pudding. The pudding tasted a bit artificial but well, I still enjoy my dessert.</p>
<p>If I get to order my Mango with Pamelo, it would be a perfect order yet nevertheless it is indeed satisfying for the price we are paying.</p>
<p>Upon what I eat today is my recommended list and if you like try others it should be fine, but not too miss these few as I mention to start off with . .</p>
<p>Last round in Hong Kong me and Ken (foodpoi.com) both of us whack this dessert with similiar amount cost us about RM120 which is near whopping HKD 250 just for these dessert itself and now for tonight I pay about RM50 for this whole package! Even my malay friends that went to Hong Kong they enjoy these dessert very much and ta pau mochi back for their parents!</p>
<p>Definately I am coming for more with its price being offered here. Taste is 80% similiar to the ones in Hong Kong as I believe the mango is less sweet and aromatic compare to the ones in Hong Kong. Well, with the price I am paying certainly I have no complain and just to enjoy.</p>
<p>One of the highly recommended Hong Kong dessert now from me!</p>
<p>-= Ka Ching =-</p>
<p>Food Rating 10/10, ~<span style="color: #ff0000;"> highly recommended</span> ! -Stamped-</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;">–Warning– This is based on my individual taste. Try it at your own risk-</span></p>

It looks kinda empty at the moment and with ample parking which is an advantage to this new outlet called Mezza 9 that just operated in the area for just about 3 weeks old. Its very easy to locate as they are the only outlet currently operating as F&amp;B in the building.</p>
<p>Already manage to capture a good drinking crowd and we arrange to go try out this new outlet as they serve Mediterranean Food and heard that they hire a good chef!</p>

<p><span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Wild Mushroom Soup  </strong></span>@ <span style="color: #808000;">RM18</span> filled with finely chopped fresh mushroom cook till creamy yet not too salty at the end. Just as I preferred my mushroom soup to be.</p>

<p>To many first people&#8217;s impression on <span style="color: #800000;"><strong>French Onion Soup  </strong></span> is am I drinking soy sauce ah? In this case the soup is well prepared that cook till the onion is very soft till near to melt in your mouth as upon you drinking it and it bends towards more salty taste. @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM12</span></p>
<p><a title="mezza (10) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7196709540/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7238/7196709540_c875091445_z.jpg" alt="mezza (10)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #800000;"><strong><strong>Caesar Salad </strong></strong></span>@ <span style="color: #808000;">RM 18</span></p>

Generous with their ingredient as you get a roll of salmon added on top of cubes of tomato with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and finely chopped parsley.</p>
<p><a title="mezza (13) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7196712580/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8012/7196712580_1af93a3ca9_z.jpg" alt="mezza (13)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>One of my favourite for the night is <span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Mushroom Bruschetta (2pcs)  </strong></span>@ <span style="color: #808000;">RM8</span>, with its creamy sauce flwoing just like that, and smell of the well cook mushroom flows on our nose trails just makes us want to put this whole piece into our mouth one shot. &#8211; Recommended!</p>

<p><strong><span style="color: #800000;">Calamari with Homemade Tartare Sauce</span>  @</strong><span style="color: #808000;"> RM12</span> is a simple starter and would pair better if you have a glass of beer along!</p>
<p><a title="mezza (15) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7196712084/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7085/7196712084_2a21acec1e_z.jpg" alt="mezza (15)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>The super star dish for the night is this <strong><span style="color: #800000;">Braised Oxtail (4pcs)</span></strong>  as we take pictures on it we already swallowing saliva with the nice smell that it flows out. A perfectly braised dish that the meat is soft yet flavourful . Just makes you want to have more. <span style="color: #ff0000;">- Highly recommended!</span> @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM16</span></p>
<p><a title="mezza (16) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7196713116/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8165/7196713116_2267432496_z.jpg" alt="mezza (16)" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>A simple dish and flavourful with hint of black pepper at the end and pair well with the tomato sauce is this <span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Meatball in Tomato Sauce (4pcs)  </strong></span>@ RM12.</p>

<p>When it was served upon, I was like why is the salmon burn a bit .. <img src='http://www.taufulou.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /> yet this would be my frist time to try on something new for <span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Honey &amp; Grain Mustard Glazed Salmon  </strong></span>@ <span style="color: #808000;">RM48.</span> To our suprise, as we cut it, it is soft not as it look and the taste to pair along with honey mustard makes it a great combination.</p>
<p><a title="mezza (18) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7196713954/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7212/7196713954_74c8ccd261_z.jpg" alt="mezza (18)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>Another one of my favourite is <span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Mint Marinated Rack of Lamb with  Fondant Potato and Roasted Cherry Tomato  </strong></span>@ <span style="color: #808000;">RM45</span> that is prepare medium with a bit blood flowing out upon cutting it. The mash potato is something we cant stop eating.</p>

<p>A simple dish that prepare well is <span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Spaghetti Aglio Olio with King Prawns </strong></span>@ RM38</p>
<p><a title="mezza (20) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7196714740/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7076/7196714740_0119166bb5_z.jpg" alt="mezza (20)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #800000;">Mezza9 Fusion Seafood Paella</span>  @ </strong><span style="color: #808000;">RM40 (double servings)  RM25 (single servings)</span></p>

<p>Oh, I just love this dish because of its strong well balance taste of tomato with lots of mince meat <span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Spaghetti Bolognaise with Beef Bacon (spicy)  </strong></span>@ <span style="color: #808000;">RM25</span>. I just love it. &#8211; <span style="color: #ff0000;">Recommended!</span></p>
<p><a title="mezza (22) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7196715698/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5449/7196715698_ee875da434_z.jpg" alt="mezza (22)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p><span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Black Angus Rib Eye Served with Mediterranean Vegetables, Roasted Potato &amp; Corn on Cob  </strong></span>@ <span style="color: #808000;">RM80</span></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Profiteroles (2 serving per portion)  </strong></span>@<span style="color: #808000;"> RM18</span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.taufulou.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/P5072166.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-6647" title="P5072166" src="http://www.taufulou.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/P5072166-500x375.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p>oh oh.. their signature desert, also another dish would love to recommend is <strong><span style="color: #800000;">Chocolate Lava cake with Orange Cream Anglaise</span></strong> @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM 15</span>. It was prepare pippin hot, that a simple cut break the crust of the cake and chocolate just ooze out, just cant stop eating this.</p>
<p>If you are asking me where to have a nice meal and certianly this would be one of the place to recommend! I guess one of the reason the good food came out is that they have a Chef from Sentidos Tapas, Starhill.</p>

<p>Squid, prawns  and lots of frieds.</p>
<p>Both of us eat till very &#8216;jelak&#8217; cause too much fried stuff and we even make a take away for the remainings and she cant event finish too. I guess a plate like that can be shared by 3 people. We find it a bit too dry at the end.</p>
<p>Just a plain simple fish &amp; chip place and for the price that we are paying in total of RM55 with 2 drinks I think we can hunt for better food in return around the area.</p>

If you do, I am pretty sure you guys know this little stall called La France tug in the middle of the coffee shop, that serve nice French Food. Well, over the time they have gain their reputation and now they have grown by moving to a new premises since last year to this heritage front corner unit behind Northam Hotel.</p>
<p><a title="La France (1) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7188285992/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5442/7188285992_ffa6914708_z.jpg" alt="La France (1)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>By operating on the corner unit of the junction, its pretty hard not to miss this beutified outlet with huge trees located right at the outlet. Ample parking around the area especially you can park opposite with RM2 per entry car park instead of taking risk to be park at the road side and got fine from the MPPP.</p>
<p><a title="La France (2) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7188286210/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5345/7188286210_fa4cb89cda_z.jpg" alt="La France (2)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>Actually this place is own by my best friend&#8217;s sister and we have decided to dine there over the weekend for lunch, since they had been serving pretty good food previously, most of their recepi is design by themselves and head more towards homecook style. Like the ambiance of the cafe, with a bit of contemporary style yet the overall cafe look and feel is there.</p>
<p><a title="La France (3) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7188286596/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8159/7188286596_6eae4e6ce3_z.jpg" alt="La France (3)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>If you are a smoker, you can be seated outside too, but cause of our hot weather, I prefer to stay in. <img src='http://www.taufulou.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><a title="La France (4) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7188287452/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8012/7188287452_e0b4cc5a7f_z.jpg" alt="La France (4)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>As you walked towards back, they have like a mini bar stool garden concept which is nice to be seated at night. Cozy place . .</p>
<p><a title="La France (5) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7188286900/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5348/7188286900_910c79e134_z.jpg" alt="La France (5)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>To kick start with our late Brunch, so a coffee is a must for some of us and<span style="color: #800000;"><strong> Cafe Latte</strong></span> being serve and by looking at the smooth froth, know that it would be a great coffee.</p>
<p><a title="La France (6) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7188290354/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7227/7188290354_ca79899703_z.jpg" alt="La France (6)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p><span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Iced Latte</strong></span> was being order next, as best to order less ice, if not it will dilute the taste of it</p>
<p><a title="La France (7) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7188287132/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7228/7188287132_d555030a0e_z.jpg" alt="La France (7)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>Love my simple cup of <strong><span style="color: #800000;">Ice Lemon tea</span></strong>, with strong flavour of tea and hint of sourish lemon at the end.</p>
<p><a title="La France (8) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7188287926/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5160/7188287926_920d4cfcef_z.jpg" alt="La France (8)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>We do not know what we are ordering as we have ask my friend&#8217;s sister to serve us what is the best. <img src='http://www.taufulou.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I think this would be <span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Albacore</strong></span> <span style="color: #800000;">(French Croissant with Tuna, Cheeze and salad)</span>. Upon serving, I thought  - oh no~ why is my croissant is burnt on the top, thought it would not have made my day, but to my surprise it turns out to be super tasty with the style of it and the cheeze and tuna are perfectly match and I before I manage to cut into 3 pieces, it was instantly gone!</p>
<p><a title="La France (11) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7188289914/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8019/7188289914_dceb3bf569_z.jpg" alt="La France (11)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #800000;">Jambon Beurre</span></strong> &#8211; <span style="color: #800000;">French Croissant with Ham, butter and Salad</span></p>
<p>Another toast delight that make our day with ham carefully friend just a bit and inserted in between the bread.</p>
<p><a title="La France (9) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7188288412/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5323/7188288412_c754ea5bec_z.jpg" alt="La France (9)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>Next up is Croque Madame (Ham &amp; Cheeze with Egg) in Ciabatta bread. Finely toasted which it is very simple yet just delicious.</p>
<p><a title="La France (10) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7188288886/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7223/7188288886_3d4db0a521_z.jpg" alt="La France (10)" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>The super star of the day is this  <span style="color: #800000;">Pork Sausage in Cabiatta bread</span> (don really know what is the actual name) that apparently only serve during dinner time! Pork sausage is just wonderfully friend and aroma ooze out from the sausage is just irresistible. &#8211; <span style="color: #ff0000;">highly Recommended!</span></p>
<p><a title="La France (12) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7188289346/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5071/7188289346_5332da8a55_z.jpg" alt="La France (12)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #800000;">Aglio Olio with Extra Virgin Olive Oil</span></strong> @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM9.00</span> is a very simple dish with lots of olive oil, olives and freshly cut tomato to cook along. Spegetthi is al dante and that Tatt whack half portion of it and left a bit for us to share! Pretty good too. .</p>
<p>Overall, this shop certainly serve pretty good toast if you are looking on healthy options. Other range like Speghetti as my thought, if they can cook a normal Aglio Olio tasty the rest should not be a problem!  Food price is pretty affordable which is not overly price.</p>
<p>Service wise I have no comment cuz its different for all of us and what I have been told and read thru other blogs, you might just received it uniquely. <img src='http://www.taufulou.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;">Highly Recommended place~</span></p>

<p>Never thought that I would see this happen in my eyes as this scene often happen in those reality program or shows that right before before each course, the chef appears on the screen to explain the inspirations behind the dish.</p>
<p><a title="MHD Appreciation Night (22) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7135561169/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7252/7135561169_1ce4b42cf8_z.jpg" alt="MHD Appreciation Night (22)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>They even show a glimpse of moment showing live what&#8217;s happening in the kitchen. Impressive!</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">All of us are anxious for our food to arrive as we were prepared that how good the food will taste like.</p>
<p><a title="MHD Appreciation Night (24) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7135560977/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7188/7135560977_431074478c_z.jpg" alt="MHD Appreciation Night (24)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">First dish for the night, a starter called<span style="color: #800000;"><strong> Mosaic</strong></span></p>
<p><a title="MHD Appreciation Night (25) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7135560951/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7102/7135560951_866fd4bf0b_z.jpg" alt="MHD Appreciation Night (25)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>A colourful plate of starter with each side being carefully cut in squares, as each of the fresh ahi tuna &amp; kona kampachi being paired along with a slice of tropical fruits each. I tried each slice itself as the tuna are very fresh and followed by combining both together gives another level of taste. Best to pair it along to get the best fresh and sweet taste of fruits at the end, every one just clear this dish in moments. Follow by a sip of cognac just brings out the aroma of sweetness.</p>
<p><a title="MHD Appreciation Night (26) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7135560841/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8006/7135560841_69ca585b0b_z.jpg" alt="MHD Appreciation Night (26)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Piquant</strong></span> is the next feature dish with lobster, sea urchin &amp; salmon skin</p>
<p><a title="MHD Appreciation Night (27) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7135560821/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8002/7135560821_e41aec0227_z.jpg" alt="MHD Appreciation Night (27)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>Upon pouring the sauce onto the plate it smells so nice and sweet, just cant wait to have my fork to pick up each slice to put into my mouth. Indeed turns out to be the best among the feature dish, with one of a simple reason. Everything is fresh, simple yet get to taste the best out of it.</p>
<p>Paprika-spiced chilled sweet corn soup is just amazing on how the chef did it, as the chill gravy paired very well with with lobster that able to brings the best taste in both world without overpowering each other. The gravy/soup is just something we could not have enough. Wish it could be more! Everyone is enjoying this dish and satisfied look at the end!</p>
<p><a title="MHD Appreciation Night (28) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/6989476872/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7261/6989476872_19f56cd634_z.jpg" alt="MHD Appreciation Night (28)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p><span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Oriental </strong></span>serve along with lovely lemongrass-chili vinaigrette heightened with pickled jicama &amp; Japanese eggplant. Not easy to cook a nice scallop which is pan fried on both side to maintain its best form upon serving and it was well presented. Slice the scallop and eat along with the sauce prepare and follow with a sip of X.O makes the taste even more exquisite.</p>
<p><a title="MHD Appreciation Night (29) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/6989476912/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8164/6989476912_a5c08e52d6_z.jpg" alt="MHD Appreciation Night (29)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>Then during dinner there is a bottle of Limited Edition of Hennessy Methusalem that package in a custom made lamb skin covered traveling case in a 6 litre bottle. It is interesting on how they extract the cognac out from the bottle by using a long Rod!</p>
<p>The taste is much stronger, yet the after taste is mild towards the end. It is indeed one of a unique item as the production of this special edition are limited.</p>
<p><a title="MHD Appreciation Night (30) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/6989476732/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8019/6989476732_47df769aff_z.jpg" alt="MHD Appreciation Night (30)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Provocateur</strong> is the main being serve and the name itself also sound umph! Steak tenderloin cooked with chocolate, jalapeno and decorated with toasted sesame seeds, with sides of spinach &amp; mushrooms</p>
<p><a title="MHD Appreciation Night (31) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/6989476710/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7227/6989476710_ec841058df_z.jpg" alt="MHD Appreciation Night (31)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Unfortunately my portion wasnt this, as mine is near to well done ..</p>
<p><a title="MHD Appreciation Night (32) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/6989476584/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7224/6989476584_dff37bd930_z.jpg" alt="MHD Appreciation Night (32)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Seductrice </strong>is one of the dish that many people hype about it as I should have chosen dish for my mains. Many like this because of its soft inside out and served with a pureed smoked sweet potato &amp; Chinese cabbage</p>
<p><a title="MHD Appreciation Night (33) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7135560383/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7072/7135560383_3ab7a21662_z.jpg" alt="MHD Appreciation Night (33)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>As the night proceed and we were entertain by a live jazz band and the singer is from Penang too . .Yay~</p>
<p><a title="MHD Appreciation Night (34) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/6989476450/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7194/6989476450_3c0fe8723b_z.jpg" alt="MHD Appreciation Night (34)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>To end our night<strong> Allure </strong>came along on our table. Brioche crusted dark chocolate genoise cake, served with red beet syrup, and lightly sprinkled with pistachio &amp; walnuts. Just a perfect way to end this marvelous meal!</p>
<p><a title="MHD Appreciation Night (35) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/6989476464/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7240/6989476464_31e8747e76_z.jpg" alt="MHD Appreciation Night (35)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>At the end of our meal, here comes Chef Edward Lee being presented at the end. The mastermind behind all this superb meal.</p>
<p>It was a great night being the first time attending such event and surely a memorable one as the dish are just marvelous by pairing along with Hennessy X.O is just another level of taste being created.</p>
<p>Surely I am looking forward for more in the future ~</p>

There are alot of bloggers are talking about this place and makes me wonder how good is the pork burger actually.</p>
<p>Well, its not so hard to find it actually which its located the same row as Betty&#8217;s Midwest Kitchen/ Kayu Nasi Kandar as its on the other side of it only.</p>
<p><a title="Andes (1) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147242861/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7138/7147242861_f18b1c3baa_z.jpg" alt="Andes (1)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>Ample of parking space you can find around the area, as it is a bit more quiet on this side. Therefore you do not have to worry that much even if it rains, that its just a few steps away from the nearest shop lot.</p>
<p><a title="Andes (2) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147242273/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5450/7147242273_987f700ed1_z.jpg" alt="Andes (2)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>On Sunday night, this place is a bit quiet as there are a few tables occupied.</p>
<p><a title="Andes (3) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147242635/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7116/7147242635_0fcbcc0d10_z.jpg" alt="Andes (3)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>Love the setting of the outlet as its a bit more towards old English interior with red brick wall, old wooden tables and chairs.</p>
<p><a title="Andes (4) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001157482/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8161/7001157482_d7a1208225_z.jpg" alt="Andes (4)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>Food price seems to be very reasonable and I am so keen on their pork range available.</p>
<p><a title="Andes (5) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147242129/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7261/7147242129_143a32d78c_z.jpg" alt="Andes (5)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>So what we order is this <span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Porky Pork Grill</strong></span> @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM 17.90</span>. Looks like it had been perfectly grill with their own marinated sauce and turns out to be juicy and taste perfectly good. My friend is enjoying every bite of his pork. By dipping with the gravy along is very individual preference, either you find it spoil the taste or makes it better. For me, I prefer just to dine it original . .:)</p>
<p><a title="Andes (6) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147242353/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8160/7147242353_9aba8703bc_z.jpg" alt="Andes (6)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p><span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Aussie Bacon Burger Wrap</strong></span> @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM15.90</span> is their signature pork burger and when I was serve in front of me, I am a bit surprise to see the thick and round the patty is is being serve. Smells good as their signature burger being serve along with bacon, coleslaw and fries.</p>
<p><a title="Andes (7) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001157226/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8010/7001157226_1c6d019017_z.jpg" alt="Andes (7)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>The patty is good, that able to maintain its juiciness of it and after cutting it, I can just see the cheeze oozing out from the patty. Indeed it was home made by the size and well mince that I get to enjoy mouthful bites from it and the problem for me is a bit hard to grab hold and need to open my mouth to the widest to get full bite of it. <img src='http://www.taufulou.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Pretty good for a pork burger being serve in this area, to make another visit back to this place, I would not hesitate as the price are very reasonable. One of the set back that I read from other bloggers that the QC in here are not consistent. Thank god that I had this meal in pretty good taste!</p>
<p>If you are hunting for Pork Dishes around PJ area, certainly would be one of the shop to look out for.</p>

The place open as early as 6am with 50% of the stall already start operating and the rest slowly starting off. By 7.30am most of the stall would have been operating.</p>
<p>Most of the stalls here are pretty well known for its good taste and quality. Of course there are a few ones that are more famous.</p>
<p><a title="Lee Huat (1) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147235311/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7064/7147235311_6457114093_z.jpg" alt="Lee Huat (1)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>Well, it had been ages since I last visited this place which I think more than 10 years ago. So before heading our journey to Cameron Highlands my friends they all decided to stop by here for breakfast. Reach here about 6.30am</p>
<p><a title="Lee Huat (2) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147235399/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7086/7147235399_6f427e541c_z.jpg" alt="Lee Huat (2)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>Well, of course Penangnites doesnt wake up that early as this is what we can expect the whole kopitiam to be pretty empty.</p>
<p><a title="Lee Huat (3) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001150146/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7205/7001150146_6d07d1cb92_z.jpg" alt="Lee Huat (3)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>Many options are available and depends what kind of food you prefer in early morning. .</p>
<p><a title="Lee Huat (4) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147235739/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7128/7147235739_3912b06e8b_z.jpg" alt="Lee Huat (4)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>Still after all these  years, Curry Mee still one of the famous one that will be super busy as the sun is rising.</p>
<p><a title="Lee Huat (5) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001150946/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7206/7001150946_b712c0446f_z.jpg" alt="Lee Huat (5)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p><a title="Lee Huat (6) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147236545/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7137/7147236545_fea44a0653_z.jpg" alt="Lee Huat (6)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>One of the items that not many places you can find this any more which is Oyster Porridge used to be very famous also as I am not too sure about now ..</p>
<p><a title="Lee Huat (7) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147235927/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8026/7147235927_54d5a0e8dd_z.jpg" alt="Lee Huat (7)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>The rest order Chicken Rice in such early morning. . Siau liau . . RM 4</p>
<p><a title="Lee Huat (8) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001150554/"><img src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5038/7001150554_ce24e3449b_z.jpg" alt="Lee Huat (8)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>Turns out to be pretty good though with the chicken meat is moist and aromatic and the skin is pretty good, not really a white rice as it had been cook along with a bit of chicken oil.</p>
<p><a title="Lee Huat (9) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001150732/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5442/7001150732_ed320c0959_z.jpg" alt="Lee Huat (9)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>This is what I have for my breakfast, <strong><span style="color: #800000;">normal toast and half boil egg</span></strong> with a cup of hot Kopi . .</p>
<p><a title="Lee Huat (10) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147236885/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7100/7147236885_80fe41cdd6_z.jpg" alt="Lee Huat (10)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p><span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Loh Mee</strong></span> turns out to be good too with its gravy meant to be starchy and thick, add on with the sambal makes it more perfect.</p>
<p><a title="Lee Huat (11) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001151662/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8151/7001151662_2d28c45e2a_z.jpg" alt="Lee Huat (11)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>I still love Penang version of <strong><span style="color: #800000;">Wantan Mee</span></strong> because comes with fried wanton along. Noodle is quite springy that makes it no comment and of course lots of char siew would be good. . .</p>
<p>I sure do not mind wake up early and come try other items in this Kopitiam again. . .Hmmm . . I think I should do it again . .:D, for travellers if you are looking for some hawker center to eat for breakfast, certainly here would be one of the place to recommend. <img src='http://www.taufulou.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Parking is very limited around the area and happy hunting for parking space.</p>

<p>Just love their classic coffee machine that makes me think that I have seen that some where only I remembered that its something that looks alike to the movie Green Hornet that Jay Chou acted along with a coffee machine to brew coffee for his boss. I am just as amaze with this coffee machine.</p>
<p>Cannot deny that the barista is well train to brew on the coffee with smooth froth as what I was train up last time. Just only that the price of the coffee restrict me from ordering one. A simple latte that cost RM15 which I felt that not worth it.</p>

<p>Menu are pretty simple from late breakfast to ala cart menu all in one.</p>

<p>As you were seated along, every table will be offered a complimentary bottle of water. One of the thing we found out that the glass have some fishy smell as my friends wasnt aware on that until I told them. I guess either they used dish washer or just mix along with something else while washing along.</p>
<p><a title="Achme (14) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7152951023/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7070/7152951023_1c9fa0bef2_z.jpg" alt="Achme (14)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>When I saw other blogger blog about this place, their Cake counter certainly attracted me the most with all the tempting cakes being on display and what we think of it is, this place must have stayed super clean that to ensure no flies are coming in cuz its left expose open.</p>
<p><a title="Achme (15) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7006860234/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5072/7006860234_cde1e787b5_z.jpg" alt="Achme (15)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>As I am taking picture from this distance, I can smell nice aroma trailing on my nose which is the Cempedak Cake.</p>
<p><a title="Achme (17) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7006862468/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7266/7006862468_fce30da0aa_z.jpg" alt="Achme (17)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>We arrive here pretty late in the noon and yet still decided to try out their late breakfast so we kick start off with <strong><span style="color: #800000;">Salmon Mousse</span></strong> @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM 19</span></p>
<p><a title="Achme (18) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7006862856/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8167/7006862856_f482b283e7_z.jpg" alt="Achme (18)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>The first dish really kick start our day as the salmon mousse act like a jam for the bread to spread it and the taste is just absolute perfect , smooth and aromatic with their own home made toast bread  ..  -<span style="color: #ff0000;"> Recommended!</span></p>
<p><a title="Achme (19) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7006862216/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7121/7006862216_53cc81b8a6_z.jpg" alt="Achme (19)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>Next to opt for healthy option my friend went along with <strong><span style="color: #800000;">Cheeze Salad</span></strong> @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM 29</span>. When we see these plate wondering where are all the cheeze.</p>
<p><a title="Achme (20) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7006863124/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7191/7006863124_5317c0d7bb_z.jpg" alt="Achme (20)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>Till we cut it only realise that the deep fried ball is actually cheeze. The salad is dress along with thin slice green apple and season pear which I thought it was salmon chunks. <img src='http://www.taufulou.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> Well, this dish wasnt finish by my friend as its quite plain and nothing to shout about .. <img src='http://www.taufulou.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><a title="Achme (21) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7006862622/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8151/7006862622_3de59dc8b9_z.jpg" alt="Achme (21)" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>and here come mine Asparagus and Duck Bacon @ RM 19 comes with 2 sunny side up, toast bread and duck bacon chunks.</p>
<p><a title="Achme (22) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7152954665/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7249/7152954665_1b006fa450_z.jpg" alt="Achme (22)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>AFter eating finish only I realise that the plates are different and makes the whole thing become ABC. . .nice~</p>
<p><a title="Achme (23) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7006864044/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7096/7006864044_ac4854d057_z.jpg" alt="Achme (23)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>A slice of cake that tempted me to try is this <strong><span style="color: #800000;">Cempedak Cake</span></strong> @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM 15</span>, that have pandan sponge cake in between the layer. The cake smells very nice and aromatic, as we find that the pandan cake if it was done more sponge and not so solid a bit more dry would be perfect and the cempedak taste is less sweet then it would have been a perfect piece of cake.</p>
<p>If you are looking for a place to dine with perfect ambiance, this place is certainly a good place to be or chill, and if you are talking about the food its not too bad as I think its way overprice, besides that the service is good! Total bill came up to <span style="color: #808000;">RM 95.10</span> as I find that I can find better food for that kind of price. <img src='http://www.taufulou.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>-= Ka Ching =-</p>
<p>Food Rating 6/10, so so lah~ Recommended for its ambiance -Stamped-</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;">–Warning– This is based on my individual taste. Try it at your own risk-</span></p>

One of the reason is they are the first Ramen restaurant that serve Authentic Kyushu Ramen in Malaysia, as actually means Tonkatsu that boil their soup with pork bone. There are already quite a number of Ramen shop popping up and as a Ramen lover and have tasted very nice ramen overseas, hope this will fare pretty good too . .</p>
<p><a title="Yamagoya (1) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001064388/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7245/7001064388_49b2d65e69_z.jpg" alt="Yamagoya (1)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>Not only that, what makes them special as they are also the first outlet of the famous Japanese Chain Ramen Restaurant as they have more than 140 outlets in Japan and this shop had landed in Malaysia as currently operating in Publika, Solaris Dutamas would be their very first outlet.</p>
<p><a title="Yamagoya (2) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001064552/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7201/7001064552_e46ee4eb28_z.jpg" alt="Yamagoya (2)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>As I saw on the wall and people coming into this shop and dine with Chinese Newspaper cutting as I believe some chinese food writter had came by to feature on it and we came in as early as 7.30pm and its full till we left 10.00pm and there are still people coming in.</p>

<p>Their ramen is made fresh daily and they weigh the ramen accordingly on the machine to ensure that all are even.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Here you go, with some choices of the ramen available as this shop purely serve ramen .. .</p>

<p>This is one of my favourite drink that I often used to drink it as my lunch drink when I was studying overseas that time. Its<strong><span style="color: #800000;"> Calpis Water</span></strong> @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM5.80</span>.</p>
<p>It is a uncarbonated soft drink as the beverage has a light, somewhat milky, and slightly acidic flavor, similar to plain or vanilla-flavored yogurt or Yakult. Its ingredients include water, nonfat dry milk and lactic acid, and is produced by lactic acid fermentation.</p>
<p>The drink is sold as a concentrate which is mixed with water or sometimes milk just before consumption. A pre-diluted version known as Calpis Water &#8220;Karupisu Wōtā&#8221; (カルピスウォーター?), or its carbonated variety, known as Calpis Soda &#8220;Karupisu Sōda&#8221; (カルピスソーダ?), are also available. It is also used to flavor kakigori (shaved ice) and as a mixer for cocktails and chuhai. (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calpis">Source from Wikipedia</a>)</p>
<p><a title="Yamagoya (8) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001065322/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5337/7001065322_297177a0cc_z.jpg" alt="Yamagoya (8)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>AS a ramen shop, these few sauces its  a must have to make it complete, as I usually like to add in alot of chili oil . .:D</p>
<p><a title="Yamagoya (9) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001065628/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5461/7001065628_4d0b82cab5_z.jpg" alt="Yamagoya (9)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>As a starter, I rarely miss this order Gyoza @ RM 11. If the gyoza is pan fried a bit longer at the bottom till the skin is crips, it can be one of the best so far I have come accross. . .</p>
<p><a title="Yamagoya (10) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001065782/"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7226/7001065782_82ccda6831_z.jpg" alt="Yamagoya (10)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>This might look like one of ordinary Fried Chicken as the taste is just amazing. Squeeze it with lemon to get a hint of sour taste and dip with Japanese Mayo and the soy sauce at the bottom makes it perfect in taste as the skin is crispy and the chicken meat being fried just perfect as the meat is not too dry. Guess what, our table ended up ordering 3 plates of this. RM11 &#8211; highly Recommended!</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><a title="Yamagoya (12) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001066330/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5113/7001066330_635cc693b3_z.jpg" alt="Yamagoya (12)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>One of my favorite is to get eggs in my ramen as this is <strong><span style="color: #800000;">Yamagoya Braised Soya Sauce Egg</span></strong>. If the yolk is not so cook it would be a perfect pair, still good in taste, no complain . .@ <span style="color: #808000;">RM4</span></p>
<p><a title="Yamagoya (13) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001067858/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5338/7001067858_8ff0a38750_z.jpg" alt="Yamagoya (13)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>When comes to pork, we will never complain more which less is just only the factor. So we ordered additional 2 plates of <strong><span style="color: #800000;">Pork Char Siu</span></strong> as this side dish is serve cold compare to the one added into the Ramen. Different in taste though as I prefer mine to be dip into the ramen.@ <span style="color: #808000;">RM11</span></p>
<p><a title="Yamagoya (11) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147150957/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7078/7147150957_337547eea2_z.jpg" alt="Yamagoya (11)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>If you love garlic taste then this shall be one of the ramen you should hunt for &#8211; <strong><span style="color: #800000;">Black Garlic Ramen</span></strong> @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM22</span>. Garlic taste is pretty strong in the sweet soup base as just how I like it. &#8211; <span style="color: #ff0000;">recommended~</span></p>
<p><a title="Yamagoya (14) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147151131/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8027/7147151131_f262d7e4e8_z.jpg" alt="Yamagoya (14)" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #800000;">Menma Ramen</span></strong> @<span style="color: #808000;">  RM22</span></p>
<p><a title="Yamagoya (15) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7001066440/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7061/7001066440_de4d949b35_z.jpg" alt="Yamagoya (15)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #800000;">Mukashi Special Ramen</span></strong> is a bit mild in taste, with the broth soup that they add in just suits many people taste bud. How I make it more interesting is by adding alot of chili oil then it adds in the kick for me. <img src='http://www.taufulou.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' />   <span style="color: #808000;">RM24</span></p>

<p>Fuhhh, one of the super star on our table is this<strong><span style="color: #800000;"> Char Siu Ramen</span></strong>. The strong sweet taste of soup base makes us fight for this bowl of Ramen filled with thin slice of Char Siu. I just love this bowl of soup base.  @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM24</span>,<span style="color: #ff0000;"> highly Recommended!</span></p>
<p><a title="Yamagoya (17) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147151697/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8021/7147151697_59eb85b9f8_z.jpg" alt="Yamagoya (17)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Another one of my favourite is <strong><span style="color: #800000;">Spicy Tobanjan Ramen @ </span></strong><span style="color: #800000;"><span style="color: #808000;">RM 22</span></span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><a title="Yamagoya (18) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147151889/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7104/7147151889_28da85702e_z.jpg" alt="Yamagoya (18)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>Well, do not expect the spicyness level is the Malaysian version as remember its authentic from Japan and Japanese taste bud on spicy level is very much different compare to our local palate. After put it in, it taste pretty good and by one scoop of spicy paste you might find it not too kick, why not add in another paste that would have been perfect. (beware that you might spoil the authentic taste of it if you add in 2 paste).</p>
<p>By having one paste it just make the soup a bit spicy and aromatic.  -<span style="color: #ff0000;"> Recommended~</span></p>
<p><a title="Yamagoya (20) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147152291/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7113/7147152291_8722d1c024_z.jpg" alt="Yamagoya (20)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">A bit of infuse ramen which is<strong><span style="color: #800000;"> Kimchi Ramen</span></strong>, a more korean taste. @ <span style="color: #808000;">RM22</span></p>
<p><a title="Yamagoya (21) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7147152499/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8163/7147152499_06f4039358_z.jpg" alt="Yamagoya (21)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>There are only 4 of us in the table and look at the amount of Ramen we whack! Its just something I could not resist as this shop have currently top in my list if I am craving for Ramen because of its ramen texture and soup base. Well, if I have to compare to the one I have overseas still cannot be compared and talking bout local, this would be one of the best so far. Would be a highly recommended shop by me. or currently one of the best ramen shop in KL.</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;">REMARKS: please eat the noodle what its serve hot, as the noodle is springy and smooth..</span> If you leave it a while or more than 5 minutes soak in the soup, the noodle texture had change and become soggy.</p>

One of the country that I have many friends that can bring me for nice food. As for this would be my first posting upon arrival at Jakarta as we took <a href="http://www.klm.com/">KLM Royal Dutch Airlines</a> as the fare is just only RM30 diff from <a href="http://www.airasia.com">Air Asia</a> yet in KLM they arrange me for emergency exit space which is for the first time of my life took that space for return ticket. They provide superb customer service too . .</p>
<p>Well, my air flight return just cost me RM 360 for economy class which I would say its a bargain. For this round heading to Jakarta for one of my best friend wedding also to see all my friends there. Trip is pretty tight in schedule and upon arrival, Lina came pick us up. . <img src='http://www.taufulou.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><a title="cafe dermaga (1) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/6992889634/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7055/6992889634_c98fb46f78_z.jpg" alt="cafe dermaga (1)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>Then I told her I want spicy noodle that last time my friend used to bring me too. It was 5 years ago since I last went there and also the small little warung had turn into a cafe now. Cafe Dermaga is located in one of the prime location called Pantai Mutiara, which is a housing area that alot of super rich Indonesians are staying. Why I said that, you will see in the next few pictures.</p>
<p><a title="cafe dermaga (2) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7138972697/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7047/7138972697_19866d2157_z.jpg" alt="cafe dermaga (2)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>A cafe that have turn into a prime spot which is pretty well known for its spicy noodle and now they serve western, local cuisine.</p>
<p><a title="cafe dermaga (3) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/6992888978/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7066/6992888978_32d08d1335_z.jpg" alt="cafe dermaga (3)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">A pretty nice place to hang out with friends. . .</p>
<p><a title="cafe dermaga (4) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7138972387/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8164/7138972387_34dcb65d6e_z.jpg" alt="cafe dermaga (4)" width="640" height="424" /></a></p>

<p><a title="cafe dermaga (7) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/6992888852/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7236/6992888852_dca9d874e2_z.jpg" alt="cafe dermaga (7)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>Price for food are pretty standard for this kind of cafe that located in such location that average per dish is around RP30,000 which is = around RM10</p>
<p><a title="cafe dermaga (8) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7138970865/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7116/7138970865_9288574aea_z.jpg" alt="cafe dermaga (8)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Watermelon crush ..</p>
<p><a title="cafe dermaga (9) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/6992888096/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7202/6992888096_92ff59df1b_z.jpg" alt="cafe dermaga (9)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Bakmi Sakaow</strong></span> @ <span style="color: #808000;">RP 28,000</span></p>
<p><a title="cafe dermaga (10) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7138971517/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8160/7138971517_fab6c22b35_z.jpg" alt="cafe dermaga (10)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>this is the signature dish that most of the people would come here for, a spicy noodle that you can choose the level of spiciness to be added on from Level 1 &#8211; 5 if I am not mistaken. We try not to be too hero as I know the spiciness in Indonesia is far more than the arverage Malaysians can take. So we opted for LVL 3. .</p>
<p>If you think you can eat very spicy, then go for level 5 . . and Iwish you luck that your lipes doesnt turn into German Sausage. <img src='http://www.taufulou.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>In simple, I would say it as Indonesian Wan Tan Mee, as it filled with chicken slices, and the noodle is definately springy as my friend told me that they made in house. After mix with the chili, it really makes you scratch your head then sweat will flow out after a few bites. My friend she cant really take the spiciness and end up we finish half. I still find that last time it used to taste much better. . Well, if you are heading to Jakarta for the first time, this is a shop with trying for their <strong><span style="color: #800000;">Bakmi Sakaw</span></strong></p>
<p><a title="cafe dermaga (11) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/6992887882/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7081/6992887882_47ec9c3218_z.jpg" alt="cafe dermaga (11)" width="424" height="640" /></a></p>
<p>Then Lina order Gelato which is made in house or consider a local brand themself. The ice cream is smooth and chocolate have the richest flavor of all.</p>
<p><a title="cafe dermaga (12) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7138972551/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7259/7138972551_4cb8f14aa5_z.jpg" alt="cafe dermaga (12)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p><a title="cafe dermaga (13) by taufulou, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahbok/7138971737/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7268/7138971737_a5a6a57c86_z.jpg" alt="cafe dermaga (13)" width="600" height="424" /></a></p>
<p>This is what I mean why Pantai Mutiara house some of the richest Indonesians is because behind their house, there are a dockyard and not to exaggerat, some of the house have 4-5 boats. SIAU EHH!!!! and you can see some of the most unique house design over here. Its definitely a eye opener for my friend.</p>
<p>-= Ka Ching =-</p>
<p>Food Rating 8/10, pretty good~ <span style="color: #ff0000;">Recommended</span> <span style="color: #ff0000;">for first time comer to Jakarta  !</span>-Stamped-</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;">–Warning– This is based on my individual taste. Try it at your own risk-</span></p>
