I went to school at 7 because our grade in Competency Appraisal 2 (CA2) is to be released at 8am. I was so early so Joy and I together with the school nurse went to the chapel for awhile then went to the 4th floor to wait. It started at 9am and I was so anxious and felt cold and numb or whatever it was I cannot explain. When I entered the room and gave my paper to our clinical instructor (CI) I was so cold and can't wait to see what she wrote on it. Then suddenly when I opened it in front of her, I was surprised and I thanked her. I was so happy and couldn't believe that I made it. So 2 down, 1 was research and the other is CA2. My problem now is my cases, I still lack 1 major OR scrub and circulating. I know I can make it!

Hello everyone! Now I'm back! Final exam is over and I'm waiting for the results and judgment day is on Monday. I know I can do it! *fingers crossed*. So anyway I've been busy with on-call duty to be able to complete my cases in the OR (Operating Room) and DR (Delivery Room). I'm kind of excited and at the same time anxious because I don't know what will happen on Monday. Please let me graduate!

By the way thanks to all those who still visit my site even though I haven't visited them back. Anyways I wanted to share something... I SMS someone last night and I was saddened by the reply. He asked me who am I. Meaning he deleted my number. That was harsh.. So I didn't replied back, maybe I should not SMS him again ever. So that's it for now.. :)

It's been 3 weeks since I posted and I kind of miss blogging. I've been busy with our compre, research paper, duty, duty requirements and also completing my cases in delivery room and operating room. Sadly I'm not yet done with it and still working on it. Anyway, I'm positive that I can do it!

Last night I watched All About Steve on Star Movies for the second time and still it made me cry. After that the next movie was Marmaduke and since I have a soft heart for dogs, the movie again made me cry.

I think it's okay after months of not watching movies on TV.

Today we had our Christmas cheers at the Divine Word Hospital. Christmas cheers (caroling) means that we sing and dance Christmas songs to patients. Actually I really don't have talent in singing and dancing but at least we did our best. We sang at the fourth floor waiting area and we gave apples to patients. It was fun. Then we also helped the other groups in giving apples in the out-patient department. It's nice to make people happy in our own little ways. Merry Christmas!!!

I just would like to share what happened last week. I was assigned as a head nurse last week for 4 days and handled pediatric and also medical. I had 4 staff when in pediatric and 5 when in medical. It was so tiring but enjoyable duty ever because some staff knows us already and it's like we're already their colleague. I also experienced bloopers during duty maybe because I was so hungry that time. The situation was like this...

Staff: Can you please call your group-mate to go to the laboratory and pharmacy?

ME: Sure sir!

ME asking the patient: Sir, where is your company?

Then my group-mate started laughing and then I realized that I should call my other group-mate/staff.

It was so embarrassing.. So anyway. The most fun part is Friday because we only have a 6-hours duty and as a routine we eat together at McDonald's before going home.

We had our duty yesterday again in the ER. I was praying that sana di toxic but unfortunately super toxic. 2 expired during our shift. The ER was so full and I'm hoping that there will be no more coming but there are lots of patients still going in. I was so tired and we didn't have our break because we have no time to do that. I think every 5 minutes there is an admission and whenever I see an ambulance coming I was hoping it is not that toxic. It was a first time for me in the ER where there are really a lot of patients where some are sitting na lang kasi all the beds are occupied na. I hope later di na ganun. Sana wala ng magkakasakit.

I would like to share my cup. Sister said that we should not choose the cup that we like rather it was chosen for us. Just like the gift of life. My cup is so simple but blessed. It is the cup that I'm using everyday.

Fresh from retreat (Nov. 17-18)

Day 1 (Nov. 17)

I went to school at 7am but before that it was really a rocky road. The vehicle went flat tire and I thought I'm going to be late for 7am on that day but luckily I'm not late. The jeep for Alang-Alang (the venue) was already there but we (some of us) rode in Sister Imaya's van. We ate breakfast first then the recollection began. We also had confession and mass in the afternoon. I was so uncomfortable during that time because I have my period and it's the second day. All I wish for is to finish the retreat and go home. In the evening I wasn't able to sleep well. By the way, my room mate is Bambi.

Day 2 (Nov. 18)

We are expected to be up by 6am to get ready for 6:30 for the morning prayer. First we had an exercise and I forgot the name of that exercise. It was a nature exercise kinda like tae bo. It was my first time to be able to do that and it felt good. The most magical is when I felt the positive energy within me. We also had sharing and reflection. I also have a new cup. We bless that cup and I will be using it. I will post the photo soon. We went home at 4pm.
