Over the years my patience has been tested more times than I can remember.  Most recently I was tested by a neighbor regarding Dirt Bike Boy.  As I mentioned previously, I live across the street from Dirt Bike Boy’s mother.  I moved across the street at her request to help with Dirt Bike Boy.  And this is an example of why my presence was needed.

Living in a house with seven crazies can make for a hard time to find true friends.   However, lucky for me I was able to live with Jemmeye, one of the craziest new faces on television.  This chick is down with the get down, whether its time to party, drink, dance, hoop, whatever it may be. Our biggest similarity in taste is when it comes to that of a tall, athletic, black man.  Some call it our weakness, we call it our way.  I caught up with Jemmeye for a few minutes and asked her a little bit more about her dating history.

I am often asked when it was that I started dating black men, and as I look back in grade school my best friend was black. We spent many of slumber parties trying out the latest Michael Jackson moves. We had matching penny loafers and she even had the white glittery glove. Soon my parents and I moved where we spent 5 years in NM which had a very small population of black students in the school, if anything I was the minority being white in a school of Hispanics.  It taught me to be very accepting of other cultures.

As soon as I heard that Drake wants to be Barak Obama, I shook my head in disbelief.  This story caught my eye because as Barak Obama, Drake is biracial too.  I think Drake might be over estimating his acting abilities.  Drake tells PaperMag “I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama’s life soon, because I could play him. That’s the goal…I don’t change the channel, I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice.”

My first decision to date outside of my race came early on in high school. As it was accepted by many, it was tolerated by most. I was the star basketball player and he was the star football player and so it only made sense we were a couple. However, what was perfect sense to me was not so crystal clear to my parents, but my mother stayed strong to the wise old saying, “if your happy, I’m happy.”  As my mother and father were quote on quote “happy if I was,” my grandparents were not all aboard on the happy train.

The Adventures of Dirt Bike Boy are in the final stages of production.  I expect to have a launch date in the next 2 weeks.  In case you don’t remember, Dirt Bike Boy is my youngest.  It was almost 2 years ago when he attempted to purchase a dirt bike online using mom’s credit card.  At the time he was 7 years old.
