We're watching out our window everyday at the pizza sign, hoping against hope that there's a 2-slice and a medium coke special and not just gourmet pizza made with heirloom tomatoes and cheese made from milk from pampered Ecuadorian llamas. Fingers are crossed.

LOVED Blue Moon! Went on July 4 at 8:30 a.m. and waited about 20 minutes for a table for six. Capt Crunch French Toast was festive with blueberries, strawberries and banana slices. The big winners were the hash browns, a paddle of shredded potatoes that where golden crispy on one side and perfectly seasoned on the other as well as a plate of huge biscuits covered with scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon AND sausage gravy. Our server, whose name escapes me, was quick with the coffee and friendly. Looking forward to your article!

I'm a fan of teavolve's brunch. All fo the food I've tried has been good, there's a much broader selection of vegetarian choices than most places, and the tea-infused sangrias are half price (and delicious).

Also: I like Granny's in Owings Mills for one very important reason - they server chicken-n-waffles. They serve breakfast all day, but Sunday's are always extra busy.

For a little zip with a bayou flair, combine 1# fresh crabmeat, 16 oz. softened cream cheese ...add some of your favorite creole mustard, 1 tsp. cajun seasoning, some thinly sliced scallions from the garden, a splash of white wine and fresh parsley. Shape into ball and roll into toasted pecans.
Chill for at least two hours.

Serve with water crackers or toasted pita triangles.
