So my dear friend, Thomas sent me some of his beloved Jellybean fabric.  They are a smaller version of the eggs he created for Pear Tree and I heart them immensely!!!   I've been in love with this print since......geez....I think before they were even a fabric.  (I recall getting a sneak peek from Mr. Knauer before they went to print.)  

Thomas decided to do a little Jellybean-a-Thon and I am all too happy to be playing along.  I don't think you're ready for this jelly. 

I've been collecting notions and things in preparation for my booth at Quilt Market this Spring.  A few days ago, I received a shipment of my favorite zippers from Japan. I was oh so eager and itching to dive into them and knew that the Jellybeans were screaming to be made into wee pouches, just for me. (I never make anything for myself anymore it seems. Who has time?? Am I right??)  

I really love the contrast of colors that he used on the various prints and I'm loving that they all just work so well together even though the colors are so vastly different.  Nice work my firend!  

I especially adore what he did with this group when creating this quilt.  

After some close examination of said quilt at QuiltCon, it led me to believe that these fabric would make for an incredible Marcelle Medallion!!  Don't you think???  Of course you do!  You wouldn't be here if you didn't agree with me, right?  Joking. ^_~ 

Well, time got away from me this week, pouches will have to do for now, but you'll definitely see me revisiting these Jellies for that Medallion! (There's a #MedallionAlong (#MarcelleMedallion) on Instagram! Yay!)

Hey guys!  Happy New Year!  I know it's almost February, but the year is still new!  I hope it's going well for everyone so far.  

Busy, busy bee over here.  What else is new right? Sheesh.  But I'd rather be busy than not, so yay!

As most of you know QuiltCon is happening next month and I'm so gleefuly delighted that I have the oppostunity to be attending the show!  I hadn't planned on it because I just wasn't sure how I could swing the trip.  Well I suppose I whined enough on Facebook about not going. :P  Seriously, I even rallied the troops on FB to start our own 'QuiltCan't' for those of us who weren't going.  Haha!  

Well, sadly QuiltCan't won't be happening as I was invited by the QuiltCon team to join them as a judge for the quilt competition along with super star and owner of PurlSoho, Joelle Hoverson!!  (I'm dying over here, because I SO want to be her when I grow up!)

I managed to fill up my schedule for the show pretty nicely as well.....

• Thursday, February 21 at 4:30 - I'll be doing a 30-min meet and greet in with the lovelies of Cloud9 in Demo Area B.  I'll talk a wee bit about my new collection 'Tsuru' and show you some lovely samples.   We'll also give an EXCLUSIVE preview of my new Spring 2013 collection 'Koi'! Pssst.....Check out the new logo! 

 

• Friday, February 22 at 1:30 -  I'll be doing a Book Signing with C&T Publishing for my book 'Zakka Style'!  Woohoo! 

 

• Finally, be sure to take some time to swing by the Spoonflower booth.  I've designed some little pretties that they will be giving away at their booth!   What are said little pretties?  Well run over to their booth and grab one before their all gone and find out! 

I can't even tell you how stinkin' excited I am to be going to Austin and if you'll be there, please look for me and say 'Hello'!  I love making new friends!  ^_^   

Oh!  Contrary to popular belief the show is NOT sold out!!  So there's still time to get the ball rolling for a really awesome quilty time!
