Twitter Event!

Join me for a live Twitter event on Friday at Noon EST! Woot! ^_^

I'm excited to announce a Twitter event on Friday at Noon EST/ 9 am PST during my book launch tour! I'll be hosting a sort of a live chat from my Twitter account (@Iheartlinen) for a half hour, and Interweave will be giving away a free copy of the book!

I hope you'll chime in with your own questions about the book, zakka style, working with linen and cotton, patchwork projects, or all things sewing-related. All you have to do to ask a question or pose a comment is use the hashtag #iluvpatchwork in your Tweet and I'll be able to track your question and respond directly to you. If you aren't on Twitter yet, here's a great reason to join now. You'll be able to follow the event and other people's questions by setting up a search for the hashtag #iluvpatchwork. If you don't have a Twitter account you can still follow the live chat using the hashtag, but you won't be able to ask questions or chime in with your thoughts unless you are on Twitter.

At the end of the tour Interweave will be giving away a copy of the book by random drawing to anyone who participates in the event using the hashtag #iluvpatchwork in their tweet.

Happy December everyone! Oh how I LOVE December! My favorite month of the year! The holidays, the decorating, the baking, the shopping, the wrapping, and best of all.....my birthday! Holla at my Sagittarius and Capricorn peeps! ^_^ Oh yeah, and my book releases today! *does the electric slide* Yep, yep. I'll just say in theory though. Since, I heard from my publicist last night that you won't start seeing it in stores until around the 7th. *rolls eyes* I know...booooooo. That's okay though. It's coming out and that's all that matters.

To celebrate the day, I've decided to do a little shop update! I haven't done one in quite some time...oh say....hmm...okay we won't talk about that. :P But, I've put some sweet little pincushions up for anyone interested.

We'll also have a little giveaway today. I'll go ahead and piggyback onto Sew, Mama, Sew's big Giveaway Day which is tomorrow. (Almost forgot, you can Win a copy of 'I Love Patchwork' or 'Sew Liberated' by Meg McElwee at Sew, Mama, Sew! Run...go! After you read my post of course. :P)

Oh! I've moved my little shop over to Big Cartel by the way. Just a trial run. I love my dear sweet Etsy, but trying something new is always a good thing. (pssst...seriously though it takes forever to post stuff on Etsy and I was getting bored with that whole process. It's super easy on BigCartel. We'll see how it goes though.) I'm also offering FREE Domestic Shipping on my book all this week. So go grab yourself a copy, pretty please. ^_^

Oh, OH! I almost forgot! UK sewing magazine SewHip! has a sweet little article in this month's issue about bloggers who've become published authors. I'm honored to be included in the company of some very talented, awesome, crafty ladies featured in this story. Amy Karol, Alicia Paulson, and Jane Brocket! I know, so cool, you so want to be them when you grow up! Then there's little ol' me! So exciting! This magazine is hard to come by in the states, but you can order an issue online or even subscribe. Go find yourself a copy, the projects in it are to die for.

Okay, okay, I'll stop blabbing about me and get on to the good stuff. (You sure you don't want to hear more about me? tee hee! Just kidding. :P)
