Yet another lease dispute. Owner of building wants more money, along comes the managing partner at Nobu and gets the lease and promises to leave everything as is (as if). Owner of bar takes original art deco furnishing and neon sign with him and says he will open a place a few block up the street.

Sad day for history and jazz buffs. New York you are bringing me down.

Another unassuming rooftop bar, this one is in the flower district. Surprisingly the view is not as ho-hum as the hotel or the clientele. A good option if you like views with no frills and $9 beers.
