Late in the week, Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly and Company released its 2009 financial outlook to investors in New York City. Its financial outlook is expected to top Wall Street estimates, but earnings will take a hit from costs associated with its $6.5 billion purchase of ImClone. An event held this week in Indianapolis was aimed at encouraging high school students to enter the aviation industry.AAR Corp., which maintains and repairs aircraft at its Indianapolis Maintenance Center, will hosted 30 high school guidance counselors for an open house at the Aviation Technology Center. Ivy Techs Indianapolis campus has been named the fastest growing community college campus in the nation by Community College Week. The institution topped the list with an enrollment of 10,000 students or more and a 20.1 percent increase from fall 2006 to fall 2007. This is the second time the Indianapolis campus has received the high ranking. Hank Dunn, Chancellor, has more.

Ivy Tech's Susan Brooks Workforce Development's Teresa Voors talk about the chamber's recently published the Adult Education and Workforce Skills Performance Report, which shows that 930,000 Hoosiers need more education than they currently have.
