This is a track from AR Rahman. If you don’t know him, he’s an India composer who has sold more than 150 million records worldwide. Time magazine has referred to him as the “Mozart of Madras” and in 2009, the magazine placed Rahman in the Time 100 list of World’s Most Influential People. This is a track from Slumdog Millionaire and it’s pretty awesome. It’s good on a workout mix and should get you through a Monday.

Whenever a supergroup comes out, i get skeptical because their music typically sucks. So when Jim James from My Morning Jacket), Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis from Bright Eyes and M. Ward (from She and Him) got together, i thought it was going to be a waste of time. And i was mostly right. But this one song shone through the supergroup darkness. It’s pretty smooth

One of the better songs off the FutureSex album. I find this song frequently gets overlooked even though it was a single and the album won a Grammy. Whatever, it’s still the best song on the album. With this song and his appearances on SNL, you should be a JT fan.
