Just a short post to remember 2011. An eventful year, been through many ups and downs of life. I really hope that I have learnt a lot about life through all these experiences. I have been happy, excited, surprised, anxious, sad, melancholy, grieving...a blast of emotions went through my head and heart at different times of my life.

I also take this moment to remember my father who has left us so suddenly, which has made me thought of how very very important it is to treasure your family and friends who are dear to your heart.

This song is for you my dad...we've been thinking of you so much...pray that you are in a good place in heaven...but wish you are here with us...

DIY Friendship Bracelets

I have been working on this project for quite some time now to kill my free time during weekends. Friendship bracelet is the hottest trend right now and a great way to brighten up your wrist with colors! lots of colors! Friendship bracelets make good companion with watches and make them look not so lonely :P

I have been inspired to take up making friendship bracelets as a hobby when I learnt how to make them from Honestly...WTF. This blog provides great source of ideas for those of you who loves to DIY =)

Apart from the usual chevron pattern, I tried some special patterns I saw on the web like the two bottommost bracelet.

My friend actually thinks that the last bracelet looks somewhat familiar to her and relates to something she usually works on; an eye diagram... hehe =0

Some beaded bracelets adds shimmers to your wrist as well.

This is a fairly easy DIY to learn although my earrings need extra touch-up to make them look lovelier, a pair of tassel earrings are especially sexy to wear...

I seem to have this kind of rotation in shopping trend that I notice of myself. I was previously very into makeup and thus every thing I bought is related to makeup. And then, I start to realize that I have been wearing the same old clothes to work, then I start to concentrate on buying clothes again :S

Lately, I have been obsessed with collecting jewelries and accessories such as necklaces, earrings and especially rings. You may think that I must have missed out bracelets and anklets too...Well, I have been working on something, which I will show you guys soon I hope!

I have gotten these lovely cuties from my holiday in Australia.

I bought this set of earrings because of the mini Eiffel Tower stud earring. *hearts*

These long owl pendant necklace is a steal at $5 aud from Diva.

Turquoise or blue are very in this season and this long necklace especially comes with mixture of cruise inspired charms.

My rings collection, though not much but enough for me to pair them with different outfits.

How and where do keep your accessories when you go traveling? I keep mine in this cute little pouch to keep them safe and sound.

I have posted this on my twitter before, but I just want to repost this again, just in case some of you are not following me on twitter :P

It's a gorgeous bright mint color perfect for summer and holidays. I like Rubi nail polishes for being true to the color seen from the bottle but it smells of chemical so horribly when you open the bottle and lingers on for some time when you apply it on your nails. The smell will go off eventually.

You may need to use base coat and top coat in addition as the nail polish cracks easily and it will be an ugly sight to see :S I usually apply two coats for even finish.

Leopard Print Inspired

My friends are always asking me why am I attracted to leopard prints or animal prints in general. Well, I just replied them that I love how cute they look on me =P

Of course, I do not wear animal prints from head to toe which would give people a fright when they see me. I usually wear them in small amount; sometimes as small accessories like headbands and sometimes shoes.

And this time on my nails...

I'm glad I buy this OPI Shatter nail polish. Using this is a brilliant idea of spicing your nail colors without spending too much time and money perfecting nail art or going to nail bars.

However, I think we must master the technique of applying OPI Shatter to obtain a desirable result. Here's how I did it =) :

Apply a bright base color (at least two coats). I used Etude House bright yellow polish as base.
Then, apply a clear base coat (to ensure the base color and Shatter will not mingle when Shatter is applied)
Let them be fully dry before continuing to apply Shatter.
You need to be quick to apply Shatter as it dries pretty quick. Make sure you have the right amount of Shatter on the brush for the crack to occur nicely.

My birthday just passed quietly while celebrating with my family, bf and friends. I am grateful to have them with me through my journey of life. They always make my day!

We never fail to surprise our friends with small gifts on their birthdays and I am not excluded as well :D

The drawings on the envelope must have symbolize the pretty things I love to own. I spot some diamond rings, apparel, money, love and some kisses :P They also know I love Topshop very much that they decided to subsidy my future purchases at Topshop.

I also received this skull ring as birthday gift. Isn't it special? *hearts*

Do you notice my nails? Finally they are colored! I also just received OPI Black Shatter in my mailbox. I really love it and do not think I regret purchasing it.

Chunky rings are so hot right now. A big thanks to my dear best-y for getting me these gorgeous rings! =)

Cross Rings

I am certainly in the mood of adding more accessories in my stash currently. I have been browsing asos.com through the wide variety of accessories/jewelry including necklaces, earrings, rings & bracelets. I have ordered 3 but sadly only one has reached my doorstep so far :( It has been a month since I ordered them from asos.com using their free standard shipping delivery worldwide! and the website said it only takes 7-10 working days to reach me. Now I have to hesitate about continuing to buy anything else from asos.com anymore -_-

Back to the main point, this is what I have received in the mail lately.

Yeah, this is another double finger cross ring! On sale for only 4 gbp, i could not resist =)

Together with the other cross ring I own. The one from asos.com is more edgy and striking while the cotton on one is antique. I like both of them, it gives me more choices to pair with my outfits *grins*

Macarons for Me for You...

I caught a glimpse of this colorful cookies while dining at Evergreen Laurel Hotel Penang last Sunday. I have been in love with this cookies since I tasted those from Paul UK and Laduree France. Since the trend of eating macarons has been catching up in Malaysia, more macaron cookie bakeries are budding here already :D

There are 6 macaron cookies in a box each with different fillings; coffee, strawberry, pistachio, chocolate etc.

They don't look as beautiful as those bought overseas but they do taste OK, nothing to shout about though since I have been spoilt by Laduree. Considering they are only sold at RM5 a box (unbelievable!), I think this is a good way to introduce this sweet macarons to Penangites :P

Going on to something unrelated to macarons, I have been curious to try out Cotton On nail polishes. As saying goes, curiosity kills the cat, I decided to get this shade, Purple Haze for a try. Stay tuned for the NOTD :D

I have been accessories hunting lately. Guess where I found this edgy ring? Cotton On lol...I have been seeing this double cross ring appearing in fashion blogosphere lately. Finally I am able to grab it in my country, weeeehehehe... =)

Cotton On recently opened a store in Penang and the store is having sales or value buys most of the time. I love to shop at Cotton On because their fashion are very current and most important of all, affordable.

This is my favourite accessory currently, the double finger cross ring!!!

I just can't stop myself from buying MAC makeups! I know I already own a lot of makeups enough to last me my whole life but I still have soft spots for the color varieties that makeup offers. This led me to love MAC and their constant launch of new gorgeous looking makeup collections.
