ZEN Rooms 1 Borneo And An Expected Kundasang Trip

To be honest, all I wanted was a nice hotel with a parking lot and a swimming pool.
Of course, I used Agoda to look for the hotel I wanted.
I found ZEN Rooms 1Borneo.
I'd never heard of it but it's nearby 1Borneo so pretty sure Google Map could find it.
So, yeah, I clicked "Book Now".

We went there early March, as soon as my husband returned home from Kemaman.
Well, after almost 3 months away in the sea.

Departed from Labuan in the morning and we reached the hotel late in the evening.
Parking was hard to find, and it was a per entry pay (it sucks I know).
So, actually, this ZEN Rooms 1Borneo is located inside Grand Borneo Hotel like the rooms are owned by the hotel..maybe a collaboration project? Idk..but what I know is I get to stay in Grand Borneo for RM104 instead of RM140 if I booked directly at Grand Borneo.
So, yeah, go ZEN Rooms!

The journey from Labuan was kinda tiring so we spent the evening off lazying in the room, watching tv and..celebrating husband's belated birthday!

thanks to the baker who's willing to deliver the cake all the way to the terminal =) yummy!

Oh, yes of course, the cozy room, how does it look like?

tea and coffee sachets were provided, kettle, drinking water, room service menu with affordable price

cozy beds with super cushy pillows!

ironing board, iron and hangers were also provided

This hotel is just nearby the 1Borneo shopping mall.
There's a door that's connected to the mall so you don't need to walk outside to get to the mall.
Well, since it was still early, the kids and I went to pool on the third floor.
The water was cold and refreshing but it was too deep for small kids so Irfan was scared to get into the pool. The pool was nice tho. They had a separate pool for adults.

Since the hotel was practically connected to the mall, we just went there to get food, and toys too..Giant had a sale so yup, food, toys, and cute car pillows.

RM18+ for the whole bucket, what a deal!

We had a yummy chicken rice for dinner and slept soundly that night. =)

The next day, I thought we were going to the city centre, malls or the usual place.
So, I dressed the kids with 'baju jalan' lah.
Little that I knew, my husband drove to the unfamiliar route, saying "Jom la pergi Kundasang."

What.

Well, the route up there was kinda like the route to Cameron Highlands but the road was wider, so, it wasn't that scary.
It was noon when we reached the town. The weather was not as cold as I expected.
Of course, a bit chilly but not that cold. We headed to the nearest KFC for lunch.

Why even go to Kundasang if you don't even visit its famous Dairy Farm, right?

It started to drizzle, so we had to seek shelter, we ran to the souvenir shop.
The froyo was soaked in rain water so Rayyan threw it away =(
Rain's getting heavier so we went back to the hotel.

We had a rest, walked around 1B for food and slept early.

The third day.
I always wanted to bring the kids to the colourful playgrounds we saw from the road to 1B. Being a good husband and a father, Rayyan drove us here. Yeay!

Since we had nothing else to do, we continued our journey to Menumbok and waited for our 8 p.m. ferry there.
It was a fun holiday we had in a long time and I'm grateful for it.

I am happy indeed.

Kenapa Pilih Agoda?

So, korang kalau pergi bercuti, korang cari hotel guna apa?

Yelah, sejak Triv*go do menepek kat TV, mesti korang ramai yang pakai Triv*go kan?

Kalau aku, Agoda la paling best.

Why?

Sebab pada aku, Agoda offer harga paling murah setakat ni (untuk holiday aku la).

Harga kat Agoda lagi murah kalau nak banding dengan harga walk-in atau kat website lain.

Seriously, aku dah cuba.

Aku punya booking tak lepas so, aku call la hotel nak booking terus kan..

Receptionist tu sendiri cakap harga Agoda ni lain.

Aku pon tanya laa.. "So, how much is it per night?”

Weyy..harga dia jauh beza weyyy..

Aku pernah juga check-in hotel lepastu nampak laa harga per night kat kaunter reception tu.

Lain.

Serious.

Another why?

Sebab kau dapat points dan jugak boleh redeem duit.

Kiranya macam duit bonus Agoda bagi.

Lepastu, kau redeem la bila next time kau booking hotel lagi.

Kalau kau memang traveller tegar, asyik check-in hotel je, haa lagi lah untung.

Tengok ni, aku ni lepas jadi mak orang, jarang dah nak jalan2..tapi ada la pergi holiday bawak anak2 jalan kalau ada duit lebih.

So, as display shows, Agoda bagi aku duit, in USD. Boleh la redeem for the next booking.

My last post was in 2014.
Today is 16th April 2019. That's like what..5 years later?
Haha
I guess life caught me up.
I was just too busy, juggling my life as a mother, a wife..not really a good wife, a working government servant who receives her paycheck once a month, a part-time postgrad student..
Too damn busy to forget that I actually own a blog site.
Damn.
I've forgotten about this really.

So, what happens today?
I was just parked my car after bidding my farewell to my dearest husband.
Yup, I have a husband now. Happily married for like, almost 5 years. Ha!
He's going away for work.
Thus, I'll be alone with the kids for 3 months.
Yup, I too have kids now. Well, regardless the stupid posts I had written about crushes with lots of guys. I found a good husband and there you go, two kids in 2019. :)

Oh well.
Aidilfitri is coming soon and I'm pretty sure husb is not coming home to celebrate it with me and the kids.
So, it will be me, abang and adik.
I'm used to it now.
Don't worry.
I'll be okay.
I just hope that my friends here will invite me to their openhouse.
Coz, ketupat, lemang and rendang, and all those scrumptious dishes and raya cookies..
Man..who'd miss all that, right?

Five, sitting idly.

In an open-aired small hall, all breezy and windy.

Oh, everyone seems to know each other..

..but me.

Well, I can be friendly and bubbly..all chatter and laughter.

..but this whole thing kinda kills me.

Shutting up my mouth, speak if it's necessary.

I remain silent waiting till the end, this is so unlike me.

Stairs, walking down slowly..

"Hanni."

I look at him, puzzled, yet a lil bit frothy

Does he know me?

Nope..Maybe not? Umm..definitely?

"Q-D..it's me."

Oh! That WeChat guy with a cunning id!

Who is way more fluent in English, compared to this petty fatty me..

Well, the providence, tends to be uncanny..and sometimes, kinda..funny.

We talk about puns, good movies e.t.c..

Oh, and a sports car of his, maybe?

..but, never the names, or exact details, precisely..

Me.

..an overseas grad who stutters.

Lost in the middle of those american-accent utterances.

Insecurity overwhelms me.

I need more practice, thus, help me..

Maybe I can type or write, quite nicely..

..but my mind blanks out my full-English conversation, infuriatingly.

That Kid

I decided to stay in that class for a relief period..well, coz I had no better things to do and that 'anak angkat' kid looked a bit gloomy. So, I stayed and had a casual chat with a few pupils when he started to join in. He leisurely walked towards me and sat on my lap before a girl shouted, "ee manjanya!". Haha. Sure, I don't mind..maybe he doesn't get to sit on his parents' lap since they are so damn busy with work..maybe?

Yesterday, I was welcomed into that class with an enormous joyful cheer of "YEAY!" for a relief period. I was beyond touched..well..maybe coz that was the first time I ever entered their class? I don't know.

..and yesterday too, that kid tackled that seungri-lookalike boy when he was running towards me,

"She's my mummy!"

"No, she's my mummy!"

"No, mine!"

"Mine!"

lol.

The idea of 'anak angkat' wasn't triggered by me. He mentioned it when a Year 6 boy asked me what's the relationship between me and the kid coz we seemed quite close. So, the next day, I introduced him to other students as my 'anak angkat' and he seemed pretty happy about it..well, to the extent of coming into my class and gleefully asked me whether he could stay there to learn from me..aww... :')

Using the recess break to spend time with the boy, well, to be honest, I feel rather contented of having him as my so-called 'anak angkat'..

To be honest, this place is sucking the happiness out of me like a fucking dementor..but heyy, look at the bright side, I've gotta meet this boy, who actually just got transferred from another school.

"If I didn't get transferred, I wouldn't have the chance to meet you, teacher."

Play. Fun. Happy.

It was fun yesterday!

Well, the Year 6 students are sitting for their UPSR this week so the other students either stay at home enjoying their hols or come to school and play at the hall/field.
I didn't go to the hall with the kids yesterday as I was busy helping the music teacher with the mini-studio (in return, I got to learn how to play drum! How cool is that? Haha!)
So, I went to the hall yesterday, along with the other prac teachers.
I wandered around. I saw a basketball.
I picked it up, went outside and started dribbling.

"Ohh..this is fun."
Yeah, I couldn't even remember when was the last time I ever played this..first year in Brisbane?
I don't know..so, I went to the prac & new teachers and asked them if they wanted to play..actually, all of them voted for netball (man..) but still, we went downstairs and started to plan how were we gonna play it since there was no netball court.
They were busy talking and then I saw something at the building nearby..

"Basketball court! Hey, we have a basketball court at the gym!"
..and thus, we started playing a fusion of basketball and netball ahaha~
We had a fun time playing and after a while we stopped.
I was tired but the thought of playing really intrigued me so I continued dribbling around and shooting.
Well, I was never a fit kid so I never really got a chance to play anything at school. My first time playing this game was in high school..form 3? form 2? PJ time..then, I asked my teacher if we could play it again for the PJ time..I'm pretty sure she said yes..but hey, I finished my form 5 and no basketball during PJ time ever since that day..I know..I still remember this coz I was damn frustrated mann..haha

Anyway, all the teachers went to the hall after we finished playing.
I was bored so I took the ball with me and went to the volleyball court outside with two students from my class who happened to be around at that moment.
My Chindian kid joined me too so there were 3 students altogether with me.
I taught them how to play basketball eventhough I know nothing haha~
Just dribble and shoot would be enough for now I guess :P
So, we played for a while and more kids joined us so I left the ball with them and went to the field.
Some students were playing rugby, practising throwing the ball and all while others were having an inter-class football match.
Called up a kid and said "Hey, wanna teach teacher how to play rugby?"
Again, more students came and I left them to play and went to the football kids.
There, they taught me how to kick the ball properly. Fun! XD
Ryan and his friends were really enthusiastic to teach and give me the chance to play.
We played until it was time for us to go for recess.
I was walking and talking with my students when Ryan turned around and said that he wanted to join me for recess. Yeah kid, sure! (it was rare for him to say that to me, unlike the other kids thus, the highlight lol)

Uno sesh took place after recess and I had a chance to spend time with my Chindian kid more than usual :3
We played and talked.
A notorious kid from other class took my iphone and ran away so, like Joffrey with his king's guards I shouted "Chase him!!" and my students did. Indeed, it was funny!
Izriey, a student from my class suddenly held my hands like we were in a Korean wrestling. I didn't know what he was doing so I swept his leg and tripped him down (I held his hands so he won't injured his head as he fell on his back). Ryan, who was sitting nearby looked at us with an amazement and started to clap his hands, uttering compliments. Haha, really kids? I should really be like that Gokusen teacher right? Haha :P

Today was tiring but it was helluva fun!! (which caused me to sleep early and missed my mom's call lol)
What really made me think was the moment when those students were so eager to teach me what they know and really give me the chance to try out what I've learnt..wow kids, thanks for this :')

I was on a bus to kL.

..and, I was bored.

Thus, I started tweeting about my crush when I was in high school..

Continuous tweets forming a short story I guess haha.

Well, crush? No..not really..

He was someone that I really looked up to coz he's just so perfect, so smart, so cool..so good looking haha.

Umm..so the tweets went on and on till I realized that..good god Hanni stop it!

He knew I was talking about him so..

I read his blog..

Seems like he's broken..

..but hey, he's always a shining star to me. A perfect one that is.

Everyone knows who T.O.P is, right?
One of the biggest hallyu stars, a sparkling diamond of a Kpop band named Big Bang who owns a magnificent, heart-melting voice.

So...
I dreamt about him last night. *total shock*

I'm not a fan..nor did I think about him before I slept. No. I just..don't know.

Anyway~
I forgot how it all started but I remembered having a dinner with him at a fancy restaurant with his other band mates & a few hardcore Big Bang fans.
Somehow, I ended up sitting next to him. Eh?
Well, we talked and talked. Of course we really enjoyed our conversation as I could see him laughing earnestly and smiling continuously. Gorgeous. Oh, we really did have fun :3
The night resumed with him putting his long legs next to mine while talking and laughing. Others were looking with jealousy but I didn't bother coz...man, we were talking about Doctor Who for God sake! Haha!

As how other beautiful dreams didn't last forever, mine was also leading to an end.
I watched T.O.P left. Oh, but..wait! He walked into a jewelry shop nearby and bought a ring.
He looked at me and with his dazzlingly handsome voice, he said,
"There're so many people here, let's go somewhere else!"
This young adonis then walked away, letting me slowly tip-toe, following him from behind.

I glanced at his firm shoulders, at his lustrous sky blue celeste hair and wondered what would happen next.

I happily strolled down the path we were heading to without realizing that I tardily stepping back into the reality.

There.

The white ceiling. I stared at it blankly for a few seconds. Feeling totally in a daze. Oh, the numbness.
The numbness that made me hate myself for a little while. Why did I wake up? Why did I open my eyes?
The numbness of getting my high hopes shattered to pieces. Broken. Scattered and tattered.

I tried so hard to close my eyes and let the slowly-fade-away memory stir in my mind.
Disappointment found me.
I lost in the battle of a brilliant dream..

Self-reflection: So..my splendiferous dream was crushed to disordered pieces coz I broke my plan to fast today? Astaghfirullahalazim T______T

Anyway, it was my third time meeting him, yepsss he's still as wonderful...as always~

Um, he has a beautiful home, with friendly parents yang sangat ceria.
Rumah yang cantik dan kemas. *jelly*

I looked around while listening to his mom's talk about Fossil handbags.

So far, I've never met a person with such opinions...or ideas.
As simple as may I appear, my mind also works the same way. Simple. I can't comprehend complicated things, or else, I'll forget..them.. *absent-minded person* haha~
To what he said, I just responded with an awe & "Ha'ah! Setuju!" or "Betul! Betul!" *saying betul only twice, trying not to sound like upin & ipin*

Lots of people were looking at him, or at least gave him a glance when...
...we walked into the restaurant...
...we were at the mall...etc

I had this thought that of course, his fans wanted to take a photo with him but, maybe they were shy to approach him?

If I ever see my fave celebrities at a mall, I'd totally approach them for a photo.

Simple Happy Moments

I'm sooo super super happy right now & I really feel that I seriously should write about it. Well, guess it's one of those days which take your breath away aye? Oh yeah, this entry is from my iphone coz I've got no pc but I seriously wanna write about it. Yeaaa coz I'm happy like that. Haha!

First of all,it started with a Twitter reply from Alex Williams last night. Who's Alex Williams, yo??? *Jesse Pinkman's voice*
He's an Australian actor who stars in Undrground: Julian Assange Story.
Then again, who the heck is Julian Assange, yo?????
For God sake,just google it will ya?!
Lols man...just kidding~
Julian Assange is an Australian hacker, one of the most wanted people on earth. Some might see him as a criminal but for me, he's awesome and he just wants mankind to know the truth, yo! Yeah, this is a real story ladies and gentlemen. Embrace it. Watch the movie and you'll fall in love with Julian Assange & of course, the young and gorgeous Aussie actor, Alex Williams.

Secondly, I ran into my handsome Brit neighbour, Sammy earlier today and my Aussie actor neighbour, Nick in the evening. Nick was talking about having KFC with his housemates for dinner & I was like...mannn I should totally have this finger-lickin-good chickens yo!
Ran into Ying & we went straight to nearby KFC for dinner *winning*
There, sat there three familiar faces, having fun and laughing. Omg! Nick, Sam and Ben! We had a quick chat & left coz I totally didn't want Ying to wait. We went to woolies sice she wanted to buy milk.
Oh hello, Nick & Sammy again~
I walked to the aisles with them & had these fun chats. These guys are hilarious! Nick with his charming-sweet talks & Sammy,oh Sammy...I just love your British accent *super-thumbs-up*
Nick was joking about having kids together. Mannn...I would totally fall for that if you were serious *damn right*
Aussie boys, they're sweet talkers you know...no harm done, you'll just love what they say. As simple as that.
Anyway, we passed by a yogurt shop named 'Berry Me' so I said "Berry me?" with an intention of "Hey, anyone's up for Berry Me yogurt?"
Nick was like "Marry me?" "I'll do all the acting and you'll do all the cooking."
Classic Nick. Sweet. Well, we continued talking about having me at their place for dinner someday *tell you Aussie guys are so sweet, not to mention they're super decent and fun too - bf/hubby material yo!*
Continue...and about how Nick could get involved in film industry as an actor, how the modelling will do good to our tall handsome English gentleman, Sammy boy and some other stuffs. It was quick before Sam left to watch footy and I bid Nick with "I'll see you on tv soon!"
Love these boys, should totally have a movie sesh with ice-cream someday!

Another thing that made me happy?
Owww yeahhh, as Nick would say how I do love boys, I'll talk about girls too, yo!
Lizzy, the super-sweet Aussie girl ever just gave me late birthday presents. Yeah, presents...plural, yo!
They're Typo merchandises! Ain't a hipster but I just love all these vintage stuffs! Oh Typo is quite expensive. So getting Typo stuffs would really make as happy as a lark! Thanks heaps lizy! You're awesome!!!!

I should totally get a pc to add caption to these photos & rearrange them. Oh well, I should continue watching Breaking Bad now! Ta! XD Please pray for me to get married to an Aussie guy with blue/green eyes ya? Amin~ :P

Another trip for Brisbane International Student Ambassadors! Yeay!
This time we had a chance to go to Caboolture Historical Village for a themed event which made it waaayyyy more awesome!
What's so special aye?
Well, for me, being able to reminisce historical experiences is just so great!

Ice-skating? Naahhh..never liked it..why?

Are you kidding me? Of course the reason is "I don't know how to ice-skate!"

If I'm good at it, do you think I'll hate it? Heck no...Ice-skating is soooo cool especially when you know how to spin around and do the tricks! Awwwwyeaaahhhh!!!

I always, always came over to my mates' place, yeah...

My lovely Aussie friends, Tim and Jack...nice to meet you everyone!

However, this would be their first time coming over to my house, since I didn't wanna trouble my housemates coz these two are guys and my housemates are all girls.

Anyway, I cooked Kuey-tiaw Tom Yam and omelette for them and prepared ice-cream for dessert.

The dinner was good, except...since I didn't know their level of 'spicy-food' so...they told me that the Tom Yam was spicy when I put no chilli at all....oh Caucasian friends, I'm so sorry~

It was my first time watching a Broncos v Panthers match.
A group of BISAs and me headed to Suncorp Stadium after having a dinner + enjoying a surprise birthday cake for me :D

I was so excited as I really wanted to watch an official match since I was in high school tho I had no idea about how it's played *sorry* XD

Panthers was leading by 6-0 and I could see the solemn faces of the supporters as I was taking photos.

However, the game ended with victory on Broncos' side with 19-12! Congrats! XD

Trying to hide my grief with a smile when waving her goodbye was indescribable.

Look at the friends. Her friends. Honestly, I was jealous. I wanted to talk to her & laugh with her again but I was no match compared to her friends.

Friendship matters to me when I think that sacred bond is sincere, honest & true.

Honestly? I'm choosy...I only care for those who sincerely care for me.

I could feel whether one is being completely concerned or just showing a mere act of courtesy.

I've never met anyone like her.

So enthusiastic. So honest. So kind.

As the title goes,she was the most amazing friend I'd ever had....

It was the day when 2012 Brisbane International Student Ambassadors looked so cheerful in their national dresses, ready to receive their official certificates from the Lord Mayor.

The ceremony was simple yet so meaningful.

New friendship bonds were established, new stories were exchanged and new cultures were learnt.

New experiences ready to be ventured! :D

Today's the third day of Ramadan.
Everything's been so good so far.
Alhamdulillah :D
I skyped with my family on 21st,which was the first Ramadan & it was like the longest skype session I'd ever had lols tho Niza was away in t'ganu but Anem was nice & funny that day :P
Usually it's always Niza who tolerates my unnecessary gossips but surprisingly,Anem can bear with my ridiculousness as well hey :D

This is my first time posting using iphone blogger apps *grins*
Well, that happy day was yesterday :3
Good enough sleep followed by a calm working shift :D
The weather was nice and just have a look at the sunset! It was beautiful!!!
Did an RA Mystery Visit to my cool neighbours of 808, best visit I ever did! The guys were fun & I got warm hugs from Nick and our British prince, Sam :D
Earlier that evening, my lovely housemates sat down together, enjoying a tea-time with my long time favourite fish crackers! Yummm!!!
