But let’s face it, with the introduction of social media launching their own proprietary ad platforms, comes new ad unit types. What I’m talking about is Facebook Ads, Facebook Promoted Posts, Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and others…with images serving as a very high percentage of winning points in developing and overall ad CTR.

In other words, images are fucking important.

I went into my toolbox and am sharing 7 Awesome Websites I’ve got bookmarked. I’ve used these websites for images I’ve seen on their site, developed inspiration, created my own, used theirs and yada yada. Some of these are simply Facebook pages. That’s the cool part though, whatever pages I like on Facebook, I get a steady flow of their content in my newsfeed. If somene has something I like, then I find a way to use it.

This shit is valuable to an affiliate marketer basically…

I see it happen, literally on a daily basis.

The whole act of “copying” has a filthy meaning. Yep, I know, I get it. But let’s face it, everyone does. Damn near everyone, at the very least.

Many affiliates will see something that catches their creative eye, do a short test on it. If it has promise then Affiliate will choose whether or not to soak the ROI ripping this creative straight up 100% will give them or they will choose to enhance the creative – Headlines, Images, Sub-Headlines, CTA’s, Design + Colors.

Tip: These are the 5 pillars of banner (creative) design:

Headlines

Images

Sub-Headlines (Adcopy)

CTA’s (Calls To Action)

Design/Colors

Ok so nobody wants to admit, but we are all in agreement that nearly everyone has done it, does it or will do it. Great, now we have no animosity between us. Let’s continue…

The whole act of “coaching,” “training” and “mentoring” has a very unfortunate, but synonymous association with the term “Guru.” Guru of course, is used to describe snake-oil salesmen, or the bad ebook salesman of the early 2000′s.

I like to think at IMGrind, we have done nearly the opposite of that. We have shown, created and developed multiple streams of income (businesses) online, as well as trickle that knowledge down to a select few, extremely serious people who have joined us inside the IMGrind Private Forums.

The real beauty of all this though is that I wanted my forum full of success stories, follow-along campaigns from other members as well as some Campaign Case-Studies. I knew we could achieve this by only selecting the most serious, creative and hard-working people in the world.

A recipe for success! Simply copy other affiliates in real-time, on-the-go, right-away start learning from what it is exactly they are doing

Better yet – what results they are achieving

Better yet – exactly how they generated them results

Best Ever – How you can go try it yourself, right now too

So, I tell ya what on this Sunday. I invite you into the IMGrind Private Forums if you haven’t already joined the 1,500+ marketers who are already members. Come check out some of these

Yahoo may be on the verge of closing its biggest acquisition during the 10-month reign of CEO Marissa Mayer as she tries to attract more traffic and advertisers to the Internet company’s website and mobile applications.

The Sunnyvale, Calif., company’s board of directors will meet Sunday evening to consider approving a $1.1 billion acquisition of online content-sharing site Tumblr in a deal Mayer negotiated, according to the technology news site All Things D. The story posted late Friday cited anonymous sources.

In an invitation sent Friday, Yahoo promised to unveil “something special” Monday evening in New York. The event is being held in a Times Squares lounge located about two miles from Tumblr’s headquarters.

I had a Tumblr account for awhile but got tired of all the spinning, spitting and bounce porn gif’s sent by teenagers getting their first hard on. Gross and stupid.

So, in my opinion, just going with the purchases of Yahoo in the past, this probably makes sense – Go For It.

Yes, you heard that right. Nearly three-quarters of smartphone sales in the country in March 2013 went to Android, according to data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. That’s a greater market share than in the UK, France or Italy. The arrival of the iPhone 5 boosted Apple’s market share slightly in late 2012, Kantar noted, but that advance didn’t compensate for earlier losses, and iOS continued to cede share in Q1 2013. In fact, that share slipped below 17% of smartphone sales in Germany this March.

What’s even cooler, is that I found out how Germany stacked up against some of the other power-house mobile centric companies. They didn’t do too shabby.

Apple phones are responsible for a greater share of German web traffic than the user numbers would suggest, however. Adobe reported that iOS phones garnered nearly 45% of smartphone internet traffic in February 2013, compared with around 49% for Android. The imbalance was more pronounced in the UK and France, where Apple phones accounted for more than half of smartphone traffic during the month.

We can attest as well. Germany has been downright awesome for our mobile affiliates over at our Mobile CPA Network, Revived Media. If you have German Mobile traffic as an advertiser or publisher, be sure to hit us up!

I have recently been working with an App called Hojoki. Funny name, serious business. At IMGrind, as you know, we have alot of stuff going on every day. We operate and maintain our 4 education web properties, code and modify iMobiTrax, produce graphics, produce tutorial videos, and operate and maintain our portfolio of money making sites.

With all of these properties, myself, Ruck, Ryan and Bill are constantly uploading and modifying our work. Hojoki has been our solution to observe what is going on in the cloud. Hojoki is a “mothership”, if you will, that syncs with all of the services we use like Evernote, and Box. Whenever someone uploads a change we are notified on our iPhones and other devices.

What I also love about this product is that you receive a daily recap of all the changes and uploads that occur among your apps. This is great if you missed an update on your phone. This is also particularly helpful when any of our outsources upload their work, this way we can see what they have accomplished

Hojoki allows you to create workspaces where you can catalog and sync all of the respective assets for your project. So, on my hojoki board, I have workspaces for IMGrind, Revived Media, iMobiTrax, MobGrind, and all of our other companies and projects – This awesome type of organization also helps us to segment our folders in the cloud. So, for instance, only our IMGrind folders on Box will be sync’d with our IMGrind workspace. This reduces the clutter at a glance, and we LOVE THAT!

Wondering what apps Hojoki interfaces with? Take a look below and see if you recognize or use any of the following apps on a daily basis.

This is great because it lets the team know when something is finished, something has been modified, or if a file has been removed. It is our UNSPOKEN communication software. Take a look at the video below and see if Hojoki is a good solution for your team!

Oh, cost? Yeah, Hojoki is FREE for up to 5 workspace members and Premium, which grants unlimited workspace members – yeah, that’s only 5 bucks a month!!

The answer is almost always the same: “unlimited if it works.” Of course if a campaign is doing 100% ROI everyone is going to do/say whatever they can to get their spend up as high as possible to bring in the largest return. But it’s not always that easy. Before you can scale your campaign up you need to consider how long you have been running profitable, how volatile the offer is, and the limits of the traffic source.

The second you turn a campaign profitable it’s hard not to jump out of your seat wanting to scale until your eyes bleed. Let’s say you’ve been running an offer spending $300 a day and it’s been breaking even/slightly profitable for a bout a week. You finally have enough data to make some good optimizations in terms of which landing page is converting the best and which creatives are yielding the highest eCPM. Your spend goes down to about $250 a day but your profit is now 100% ROI. Scaling too quickly could throw another variable into the equation and cause everything to come crashing down. Let’s say you take the same metrics of the campaign over to another traffic source expecting the exact same results. What you didn’t consider was your banner placement in the ad chain. It’s different on the new source and you’re no longer profitable and back to testing. A better plan would be to let your now profitable campaign run untouched for a week or so to ensure all of your metrics are correct.

The hour of the day or the day of the week can sometimes make a big difference in any performance based campaign. If you’ve made optimizations to get it profitable on one day it’s important to get a larger sample of data to ensure it’s going to be profitable every day. If it is profitable on everyday during the week it’s important to note how high the ROI is at certain hours. You may find yourself wanting to day part the campaign (pause during certain hours) to ensure the highest return possible.

Since we’re talking about an affiliate campaign in this post we’re assuming your getting paid a commission for each sale or lead generated to another company’s product. Before you can achieve that first $10,000 revenue day it’s important to find out how volatile the offer is. Is it seasonal? Are there processing limits? Does your quality need to be taken into consideration? There are a number of different factors that you must consider before taking your volume to the next level. Rather you’re working with the company directly or going through an agency it’s important to speak to someone regarding increasing volume.

Regardless of what anyone says there is always a limit somewhere. Before scaling hard you need to know and understand where this limit is. I like to know what other partners are doing with the offer. While I don’t expect anyone to provide me with exact details I like to have a good understanding at the current volume already on the offer so I know more about the limits and what to expect when I really increase my volume. If the offer is seasonal or only runs for a certain flight it’s important to find that out. Nothing is more disheartening to finally get a campaign up and profitable to have it expire the next week. If you don’t ask before you scale, you’re running blind.

Every traffic source has some type of limit. Facebook is one of the most popular websites on the Internet but they limit the number of money each advertiser can spend per day on their platform. If you’re a large advertiser, they’ll increase this limit, but sometimes it takes several successful billings at lower levels before they’ll do so. The same goes for Google. They are the largest advertising network in the world but they also don’t just let advertisers go spend wild. Older accounts with larger spend history have priority over new accounts that are just getting started. Even when you’re conducting a large media buy, you’re going to run into a limit somewhere.

One of my biggest limits early on in my career was having a credit card capable of enough spend. I could not get American Express to understand why I was 22 years old and needed to spend $10,000 a day on my card. So I was left spending $5,000, sending them a wire, spending another $5,000, sending another wire, etc. I then had to make sure I was getting paid quick enough by the merchant to be able to float the spend. Today, things are much different, because I have several very high limit credit cards and a lot more capital. But this can be a challenge especially for affiliates that are just getting started.

While $10,000 a day sounds awesome there are some very important things you must consider before reaching that level. You need to be profitable for longer than a week and have all the day parting variables considered. You need to examine the volatility of the offer and have a good picture about what’s going on with the merchant before unexpectedly “blowing up your numbers.” Finally, all the limitations to your traffic source and financial situation need to be taken into consideration. If you don’t have a high limit on your credit card then you need to ensure good pay terms with your advertising network or have a set amount of liquid capital available. You’ll then be much more prepared for a massive month of profit!

This means you can dive into much more detail for each conversion that your system receives for a mobile-based offer. This is a great value in getting concrete, relevant information about what kind of users are installing apps from your offers, and all the unique data that shows that each install is unique.

If you are working with a MoblieAppTracking client, then good news! Their mobile tracking parameters match up exactly with their parameter set, so tracking between your affiliate network and the MobileAppTracking client will be highly accurate and transparent; two critical elements when tracking between multiple systems.

Here’s the new mobile tracking parameters currently supported:

device_brand

device_model

device_os

device_os_version

ios_ifv

user_id

unid

Pretty good stuff coming from the team whom powers the backend of Revived Media’s Mobile CPA network along with iMobiTrax, our Mobile Ad Tracker. Interesting, what it would look like if all these tracking variables were universal in just one system? More on that later…

Starting today, they’ll begin rolling out the new AdMob to our developers. They expect it to be available for all developers globally in the coming months. If you’re an AdMob developer, you’ll see a notice in your account asking you to upgrade to the new AdMob.

With the new AdMob, some of the features available are:

Smarter app promotion: Conversion Optimizer helps many AdWords advertisers increase conversions while decreasing cost per acquisition. We’re now bringing Conversion Optimizer to app developers using AdMob to promote their apps, so they can get the best possible number of installs for their budget. Choose a target cost per acquisition for each download, and Conversion Optimizer will show ads when they are most likely to lead to an install.

Robust ad filters: Ensuring that your app is showing quality, relevant ads is important for app developers. Now, developers will have more control over which ads appear in their apps, by blocking sensitive categories, so they can increase relevancy and protect their brand.

Maximized earnings: If developers want to show ads in their apps from more than one ad network, they can use AdMob Mediation with a new, simplified setup.
Local payments: We’re introducing local currency payments, so developers don’t need to spend time calculating currency conversions and organizing money transfers.

Intelligent reports: The new reporting interface enables app developers to slice the data in many ways with multi-dimensional reports that help them identify opportunities to grow. They can break down their reports over time by app or ad unit, platform, country, bid type, and more.

In a way I don’t blame them, it’s very possible, but too often new affiliates go in unprepared. Just because you’re buying traffic and are getting instant visitors to the offers you’re promoting doesn’t mean instant success. While rags from riches stories are good to read, they don’t come without a lot of hard work and dedication. Before getting started buying traffic it’s important to set obtainable goals, understand the user interface from your traffic source, having plenty of banners/creatives, tracking closely, and knowing when to scale up.

Setting goals is so important in business. Most Entrepreneurs that I know suffer from some form of ADD (or what we call shiny object syndrome). They’re so full of “good ideas” it’s hard to just stick with one and go with it. They want to start one, start another, think about one more, and before long they have so many things going on nothing is successful. By setting goals it’s easier to keep track of everything and plan a course of action. Before buying your first click you may have a goal to break even within the first days. You may set a goal to be profitable in your first week. Heck, your first goal could just be getting your first campaign setup! While it may seem a bit silly, this is a very important part of the traffic-buying process. Your goals need to be obtainable (ie. reasonable) and should be written down or printed out where they can be seen daily. Remember to reward yourself when you reach a goal. This doesn’t have to be that new Ferrari but a reward as simple as going out to see a movie or taking a day off to the beach.

One of my biggest downfalls since I can remember is I hate to read directions. I can remember growing up and getting a new toy. I didn’t want to reach the directions on how to put it together I wanted to just “figure it out.” Ever since Ruck and I joined forces he’s very methodical getting to know every piece of software, ad interface, or online tool we use inside and out. He starts by reading through all of the help documentation even printing some out and going through with a highlighter. This is something I’ve adapted too and it’s saved me a shitload of time guessing how to do something. Some platforms such as Google Adwords make so many changes it’s essential to go through their documents and read what the system is capable of. I’m shocked at the number of affiliates I talk to (some very successful) that don’t know some of the most basic features of a traffic source. Before purchasing your first click of traffic, get to know the traffic source’s interface!

This past January Ruck and I held a Grind Session in Las Vegas. During the event we asked attendees, “what is the purpose of an ad server?” A couple of good answers mumbled throughout the room but no one said the most obvious one: to serve ads! Ad servers have the most simple task of serving ads. They’ve been designed to lump banner and text creatives together and distribute them through impressions based on eCPM. Understanding this is important because when you’re buying traffic you want to have the best eCPM and you want to get your banners in front of eyeballs so they will click on them! I get really annoyed when a struggling affiliate asks me “what they’re doing wrong” and they’re only using 2 or 3 banners in their campaign. That is not enough! Yes, it can be a bit time consuming making banners and uploading each one of them, but if you’re going to purchase traffic, you better get used to it! As a benchmark I like to say at least 10 – 20 creatives per ad group with at least 10 ad groups per campaign. Stack it full and see how the ad server responds.

If you’re going to be working on a performance basis then tracking is a must. Some affiliates want to “direct link to get started” and will then “setup tracking when they make some money.” No! This is wrong! You need to track your campaigns from day one! Even if you are direct linking you need to know important information such as day/week parting and if advertising on mobile traffic you need to understand what type of devices are sending you traffic. Screen size is everything! Our team developed the iMobiTrax platform to track mobile, social, PPC, CPV, and other performance based campaigns. If you don’t want to invest in that, at least have some means of tracking your campaigns from the very beginning. If you’re going to spend money on traffic tracking is an absolute must!

It’s important to know when to scale up or when to move to another source of traffic. This goes back to our initial goals. One thing a lot of beginning affiliates do is jump from source to source with $50. They’re hoping the more stuff they throw at the wall the more stuff that’s going to stick. This may work 1% of the time but it’s one of the most frustrating ways to approach affiliate marketing. You need to have patience and isolate your initial budget to one traffic source. Once you get something going, work with it until you get it profitable. If your first test tanks, examine the data and see what you can do better. Don’t count the traffic source out until you’ve logically considered every step of the campaign. If you’re accurately tracking then it’s likely you’ll be able to see the traffic come in and how it responds to your offer (ie. CTR through LP). Before scaling out to another source of traffic get your first one profitable.

As I noted above, purchasing traffic is what most affiliates prefer because of instant gratification. This should not be substituted for instant success. Buying traffic can be very rewarding but it can also be very frustrating if you don’t follow a plan of action and understand how the process works. Take it one day at a time, step by step. Have your goals where you can see them daily and make sure you meet them. Don’t get scatter brained stay on your path and you will find success!

What I am trying to say is this, Every day that goes by becomes a part of our past. We cannot change that. What we should work on though, is understand and practicing whatever we do today will become a part of our past tomorrow. This means, we have the power to change our past by doing the right things today.

Simple, but extremely thought-provoking it is, isn’t?

Recently, Google put together a rather telling infographic that speaks to how retail shoppers are using their mobile devices in their retail purchasing decisions. Gone are the days of running from store to store to store and sitting in traffic to find/research the best deal on the streets.

Now consumers are hitting a retail store and then they are conducting mobile shopping comparisons on products. Did you know that over 84% of shoppers in retails stores are using their phones during the process.

This is most frequently seen in appliance stores, GROCERY STORES (anyone running coupon ads – just sayin…) and baby care (hey, here is another interesting niche). Google Marketing Council and M.A.R.C. also reveal that the average amount of time that shoppers use their smartphones is 15 minutes, and those who use their smartphones BUY MORE! These shoppers are overwhelmingly using SEARCH followed by store websites.

Take a look at this infographic and commit some of these figures to the back of your mind, especially if you are running mobile campaigns either to offers or as an agency for a local business.

A while ago I wrote about how I made $61,796.49 in a two month period with one of my lead gen sites. Over the years I’ve perfected my efforts and have been able to scale and leverage my websites with the growing social and mobile mediums. While a lot of things continue to change on a monthly basis, lead generation still remains a very lucrative business. Let’s examine one of my websites that generated $9,475.48 in one week:

If your eyes are anything like mine you may need to click on the above screen capture to be able to break everything down: My Leads (Single Optins, Double Optins, Unconfirmed), Advertising Costs, Revenue (CPA and CPM), and most important – Profit.

My Leads

Friends, if you get nothing else out of this blog post please look at the number of leads I had to generate to be able to sustain a pretty nice profit. Despite what you may have read somewhere else it doesn’t take millions of leads to start making good money. It all boils down to how you monetize them. When I develop my lead generation websites I know from the very beginning they’re going to convert like fire. Why? Because I don’t mess around when I build them. I dump my heart and soul into the entire process. I won’t settle for a crappy design and I’m not just going to shit out a bunch of copy and pasted content. I take the time to make my sites look bad ass. I know they’re going to generate me a good bit of money so I take a lot of pride in them. Not only am I going to buy ads on search engines I’m also going to receive a shitload of free traffic from SEO. I want it all!

Single Optins

This particular lead generation website considers a “single optin” as a visitor that enters their name and email address but doesn’t confirm that the information is valid. I drive all my traffic into a squeeze page that presents them the material they’re looking for with the squeeze page’s main goal in sucking them all in to see something of higher value on the other side. There is a number of different ways you can achieve this, but you have to offer the user something they want. As a benchmark I like to have a single optin rate of at least 35% on my squeeze pages. Even with this, I’m still losing 65% of the traffic, so that’s not ideal, just a benchmark I want to be around. If I’m using a search engine and bidding on highly targeted keywords I expect the rate to be much higher.

Double Optins

These are the leads that have entered their name and email address and then actually checked their email and confirmed it by clicking on the link my first email. This adds them to my auto-responder sequence which is another way I can monetize. You’ll notice in the above funnel I’m getting around a 45% double optin rate. This isn’t that bad as I like to set my double optin benchmark around 50%. So typically it works out I’m paying around $1 for a single optin and $2 for a double. This is going to vary depending on the niche you’re in. The more aggressive the niche, the more you can afford to pay. For example, if you’re into pay day lending you can afford to pay a pretty good amount for a double optin because if the user actually gets a funded loan you’re going to get paid upwards of $100.

Unconfirmed

There isn’t much you can do with these leads really and still remain CAN SPAM compliant. Sure, you can add terms that inform the visitors when they enter their name and email that their information may be used for marketing purposes, but generally these leads are very poor quality and a lot of the time not even accurate email addresses. If you do make any money at all from these leads, consider it a bonus.

Advertising Costs

Nowadays I enter “long term site building mode” each time I start a new lead generation funnel. The days of being a small minded affiliate where you could shit out a couple of weak bridge pages, and bitch when you don’t make 100% ROI, are long gone. A couple of years ago you could be a little bit more aggressive with funneling your traffic through lead generation paths, but as technology has continued to evolved, especially with social media, it’s almost impossible. Most of the traffic in the above example stems from targeted search engine bidding but also some direct site media buys on sites with similar target demographics. SEO traffic is all gravy so it makes sense to take some time just to have good, quality content that’s going to get index by the search engines and rank high for target keywords.

CPA Revenue

The main source of revenue for this lead generation campaign is by arbitraging CPA offers. Basically we’re just filtering our traffic through to another similar offer and then getting a percentage of each sale or lead generated. Let’s use a television for a “hurt hotline” as an example. Companies will purchase media on television channels and have people that have been harmed by [insert drug here] call an 800 number with their information. They’ll then take these leads and arbitrage them out to the ambulance chaser lawyers that pay big $$ for the lead. Sometimes the price varies depending on how well the leads “close.” The same concept applies to your lead generation offers. You can arbitrage out your leads to other products, services, or to other lead generators. Normally the more creative you get the more money you make!

CPM Revenue

This is often looked by a lot of large affiliates that purchase traffic. While this seems like a no brainer to me (I’ve been making money with CPM ads since ’98) you can put standard IAB units throughout your lead generation website and make money on a set cost per one thousand impressions! I don’t mean to load your squeeze page down with them, since this may take some of the eyes off your lead gen form, but throughout all the content you produce you can be sitting on a goldmine by just adding a couple of standard banner sizes. Google Adsense, Value Click, Tribal Fusion, are all viable options for making money with CPM ads.

Profit

The most important thing of this lead generation website is the bottom line. That’s our end goal. I set my profit benchmark at 100% ROI but this differs from day to day because I’m a split testing nut. You’ll notice in my above screen capture I achieve this on some days but others it’s a bit lower and that’s because I’m performing some type of test. When you’re developing your own lead generation funnel you should consider this and examine your ROI on a weekly or monthly basis so you’ll have room to make optimization decisions. One of the most important things I would like to note here is the amount of profit you can generate with the number of leads. Regardless of what you may have previously thought, it doesn’t take that many leads to be extremely profitable. It’s quality over quantity.

I wanted to share this post as a case study to help you benchmark some important items on your next lead generation campaign. The good thing I like about these campaigns is the flexibility and creativity I get to use. There is really no “wrong” or “right” way. It takes a lot of hard work but that’s anything that’s going to generate long term revenue. If you get started on a lead gen funnel make sure you see it all the way through from development to traffic distribution. Many people start these funnels because they love the idea but eventually quit when they realize it’s going to take a lot of work to get them going and profitable! Some of your number may differ, but keep all of these in your head, get creative and you too can generate similar results!

To a lot of people just getting started this sounds silly… Some maybe thinking, “with $1 million my problems would be over.” Unfortunately this is a common myth; that money solves all problems. I agree that you need money to live; but what about when you start making more money in one month than you ever made in one year? Are you going to go out and buy that Ferrari you always wanted? Perhaps it’s that bad ass house down the street. Maybe you just want to pay off your loans from college or eliminate all your debt.

Throughout my 15 years of making money online I’ve been careful to develop a plan that outlines exactly what I want to do with the money I make. Since 1998 I’ve re-invested a lot of my profits back into growth. I’ve been involved with nearly a dozen companies and none of them have had to take on any financing, which is a definite plus for any new business. I’ve been able to scale my companies and grow them steadily without having to worry about how I’m going to pay the next bill. I’ve also made a point to invest into my future. Often overlooked by a lot of young people, I’m on track to be fully retired by the time I’m 40 years old. Does that mean I’m going to quit and go play golf then? The chances of that are very slim, but I could if I wanted too.

No matter what your current position is, you need to have a clear plan to what exactly you’re going to do with your profits. “I’m in this business to make money and when I start making money I will think about it then.” This is what some say, but it very rarely works out. With this attitude it’s hard to ever reach a goal because money is a poor motivator. It’s never enough. When you make that first $100 in one day you want to make $500. When you make $500 you want to make $1K. When you make $1K you want to make $5K. It’s never ending. If you have goals from the very beginning on what exactly you’re going to do with your profits you’re going to remain much more motivated and be able to continue growing and securing your financial stability.

It’s possible you’re currently reading this post and you’re already making very good money online but you don’t have a plan together. You often stay up at night and worry about what you’re going to do if your handful of large revenue generating campaigns die out. Today is a good day to start getting a plan together. Perhaps the next $20,000 you make you’re going to open a new retirement account. Maybe you’re going to wait until you save up $100,000 and you’re going to open an offline business. Some of my affiliate friends have made millions by opening up franchises/other businesses offline.

In conclusion making a lot of money online can be an amazing experience. But making it without a plan in place can also lead to a lot of problems. Don’t just do what you’re doing for the money, do it for your passion. Stay on track with your plan even if you have an extraordinary good month. Reward yourself but consider your goals and always keep the bigger picture in mind!

It’s a huge, fast-growing market that is likely never to get saturated with mobile phone adoption rates.

Tip #1 – Google

Simply go over to Google and type something like “Android Icon” in the search box, and make sure you are searching image search.

Tip is that when you click on search tools and select “icon” you get cool stuff.

You can a plethora of app like images that you can use for push notification advertising, app wall ads, offer wall ads, and icon ads. Let’s not forget though, most of the inventory is located in the In-App Industry so you will want to work with someone knowledge in that segment of business so you generate the most revenue possible.

Tip #2 IconFinder.com – Straight up to the webmaster who built that site – Thank You. Sincerely. Amazing resource.

How to use it:

Let’s say you are building a landing page campaign and you need some mobile phone type images but you have a low budget so you want them free. Well, IconFinder is your saviour.

Search “Mobile” Sorted By “Free” and voila:

Tip #3 – “Icon Packs”

FindIcons.com – Again whoever the webmaster is, God bless ya sir!

In their search engine, bookmark this url –> http://findicons.com/pack

Now you are searching by icon packs. Let’s do an example. I can browse the current packs they have listed by default. However, there is a specific “pack” search engine INSIDE of Find Icons that retrieves different results than the default search box. See the white box in the top right of this screenshot, that’s where you perform the pack search. I’m doing one for “Facebook Packs”:

And voila: Packs of Facebook Icons. I don’t have to browse through them one at time on Google or anywhere else, I can just quickly scan for what catches my eye!

Got some cupcake style ones in a pack and some default but different types of Facebook like creatives to use on our ads, landing pages and campaigns.

If you aren’t, you should probably step back and take a look at this segment as they are very active in social media, and many mothers have a large voice within their circles of influence. A large majority of moms in the American household make a large percentage of the buying decisions.

This fact alone has not fallen by the wayside in the marketing strategy of many large brands. Companies know that this segment is an important target, and with social media these businesses can reward moms for their participation as a brand evangelist.
