Label Uses

Stickers

Stickers are very widely used when an object requires identification with a word or idea. Brand stickers may be attached to products to identify those products as coming from a certain company. They may also be used to describe characteristics of the products that would not be obvious from simple examination. A Label dispenser is often used as a convenient way to separate the sticky label from its liner or backing tape.

They are frequently distributed as part of promotional, advertising, and political campaigns; for example, in many voting districts in the U.S., stickers indicating an individual has voted are given to each voter as they leave the polling place, largely as a reminder to others to vote. Other methods of underground forms of voting for your favorite graffiti artists’ current productions are by an open form of appreciation such as clapping while passing such a sticker (a smile and a kind reminder to a fellow appreciator throughout the day is commonplace as well).

Stickers placed on automobile bumpers, called bumper stickers, are often used by individuals as a way of demonstrating support for political or ideological causes. Identification of vehicle registration and last service details are two examples of stickers on the inside of most car windscreens. The term “window sticker” is generally used for vinyl labels which are stuck to the inside of a vehicle’s window, as opposed to water-resistant stickers that are stuck to the outside of a vehicle but can be affixed to anything.

Another common use for stickers is embellishing scrapbooking pages. With the advent of this very popular craft, every type of sticker imaginable can now be found: acrylic, 3D, cardstock, epoxy, fabric, flocked, sparkly, paper, puffy, vellum and so much more. While in the earlier days of scrapbooking stickers were sold mostly on 2″x6″ sheets, now 6″x12″ and even 12″x12″ size sheets are very common.

Product Label

Permanent product identification by a label is common. These labels need to be able to bond securely to the surface for its intended life and under in-use conditions. For example a label on an automobile engine needs to be resistant to the heat and oils encountered and to be secure for many years of use.

Removable product labels need to hold until they must be removed. For example, a label on a new refrigerator has installation and usage information: the label needs to be able to be removed cleanly and easily from the unit once installed.

An eco-label is used on consumer products (including foods) to identify products that may be less damaging to the environment and/or to humankind than other related products.

Care Label

In textiles,a label or other affixed instructions that report how a product should be refurbished

Package label

Packaging often has labels attached to (or integral with) the package. These communicate pricing, bar codes, UPC identification, usage guidance, addresses, advertising, etc. They also may be used to help resist or indicate tampering or pilferage.

Mailing label

Letters and packages need labels to identify the addressee and the sender. Many software packages such as word processor and contact manager programs produce standardized mailing labels from a data set that comply with postal standards. These labels may also include routing bar codes and special handling requirements to expedite delivery.

This indicator incorporates three separate indications – two that determine the exact angle of tilt and from what direction the shipment tilted, and one that indicates whether complete overturn has occurred – providing complete 360° monitoring. The TiltWatch Plus will not activate during normal handling condi-tions, such as take-off angles.
How it Works: This indicator provides a monitor all around the box. It will tell you the exact angle of the tilt or if the package was overturned while in transit.

Customers are given a key to unlock the resettable feature; it is because the MAG 2000 is kept under lock and key that it is able to be tamper-proof.

The key to the MAG 2000 is in the highly sensitive magnets. These magnets are triggered when a shock or a vibration is strong enough to disrupt magnetic attraction. When these shocks or vibrations occur, the magnet moves from its home position and appears in a new visible position within the unit.

With all features like the MAG 2000, the Mag 2000 IDT takes the product one step further by adding a date and timer feature to the monitor.

The DropSpot by ShockWatch provides a high level of sensitivity and clearly in-dicates mishandling, even from a distance. With three different sensitivity levels available, activation occurs when impact happens beyond a predetermined level. Our DropSpot indicators are best utilized with heavier, larger packaging.

IPS Packaging Offers More Proficient Unit with Environmentally Friendly Options

This new unit is simple and safe to load and operate.

Project Overview

When soliciting feedback from current paper protective packaging users, the main concern with the machine design was the lag time that occurred due to paper jams and roll changes. On earlier modeled machines, one typically has to remove covers or use tools in order to clear any paper jams, which can be a time-consuming process. The GeoSpeed Quantum was produced to be simple and safe to operate while also eliminating aggravating paper jams, therefore creating a more streamlined procedure.

Implementation

The GeoSpeed Quantum features a distinctive floating-head design which enables the fastest roll loading of any unit on the market. Paper can be loaded in a matter of seconds and the system can be easily rotated. This machine, which delivers crumpled paper from rollstock at speeds of up to 150 inches per second, establishes a new standard in void-fill, block and brace packaging use.

In addition to Quantum’s favorable design, there are also environmental incentives. Two paper alternatives are offered – a standard kraft grade which a portion is made from recycled content, as well as GeoSpeed Renew, a 100% recycled paper option. Renew paper is softer on the hands and less abrasive to products than standard kraft paper. It is identified by subtle green tint to promote its environmental appeal and produces minimal waste.

Features

Environmental: Inherent advantages of recycled paper availability

Growth: Innovative design and functionality help businesses grow

Profitability: Material yield will enable companies to sell at enhanced margins

Customer Retention: The cost effective design results in customer satisfaction and retention

This new unit is simple and safe to load and operate

Project Overview

When asked about void-fill packaging systems, most distributors felt they were trapped with units whose designs were cumbersome and difficult to operate. In some instances, a table was an integral part of the operation since the crumpled paper was fed up to the packer through a rectangular opening on the table’s surface. The paper roll and mechanical components were mounted underneath which required employees to get on their hands and knees to replace heavy rolls of paper and in the process, come in close proximity to potentially dangerous moving mechanical parts.

Implementation

The GeoSpeed Quantum was produced to be simple and safe to operate. The unit can be easily moved so that the customer is always maintaining a proficient, streamlined operation. Paper can be loaded in a matter of seconds, and with its unique floating-head design, the GeoSpeed Quantum is the fastest roll loading of any unit on the market. The adjustable speed is also a key component to its innovative design. The single-ply void-fill system allows for the appropriate amount of protection, while the GeoSpeed Renew 100% recycled paper option is also very appealing. The Renew paper is recognized by its slight green tint, used to promote environmental appeal, and produces minimal waste.

Features

Growth: Innovative design and functionality help businesses grow

Profitability: Material yield will enable companies to sell at enhanced margins

Customer Retention: The cost effective design results in customer satisfaction and retention
