Nope...not a snowflake....working on a sacred geometry style painting...at least that is the originating intention of this one...we'll see what happens....

I believe this one is finally complete...I'll post a better picture at some point but this painting truly captures a vision/meditation I had and I absolutely love it...it'll be great to add it to the show.

Adding fire, passion, heartlight to the painting...ethereal and grounded...lots of energy and movement...this one is fun to stare at for me...I just like it and enjoy working on it...I love painting...it is the present moment for me...:)

Ancestral Path is what came to me as I started to work on this one tonight...Doorway...insight into the true essence of being...I see so much in this one and there is a lot of guidance coming from a higher place on this one...makes sense seeing that I was told to paint this one for a very specific purpose...

I was given 2 images I have been asked to paint during a meditation and this is the beginning on the first painting. I know what it is supposed to represent but I'm not ready to share that just yet but it has interesting energy to it and I am going to enjoy the challenge of this one.

I'm dedicating this one to someone dear to me that has helped me so much over the last many years find all those missing pieces and his latest help led to the deepest re-awakening of my lives:)Thank you for your guidance and humor and friendship, Tomy!

Alchemy, ancient past, present moment, knowledge, awakening, gifts, lessons...it's all in there...who knew those 2 paintings could be reconstructed in such a profound way...definitely marks a new beginning in so many ways.

I'm working on a new art piece for next week's deadline for the SWIHA show...I decontructed 2 paintings...Angelheart and the rebirth looking one that I started in July but didn't finish...now I know why...It was meant to be part of this piece...collage of my past work is an interesting new twist so we shall see where this one goes...not finished yet...

New Art Exhibit at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA)

I have a new art exhibit af SWIHA through September 30th. Be sure to check it out. I started a new art concept called Reiki Affirmation Art.

I recently took some of my artwork in a new direction. I decided to combine former paintings with Reiki ascension path work that includes symbolism that has been communicated to me since my Reiki Master Attunement in 2006.

I have used the symbolism given to me through meditation and dreams to aid me in my own healing path. At times, I have been called to share specific symbols with friends and acquaintances for their own healing paths even providing symbolism for tattoo art. Most recently, I decided it was time to start sharing these lessons through my art work.

This is my first series of Reiki Affirmation Art. The pieces of canvas are from a painting called Returning Home that I deconstructed for the purpose of creating these affirmation pieces.

Returning Home was a painting of self-discovery, release, letting go, and returning home to a true center – the authentic self. My hope is that these pieces will resonate with you as much as they have resonated with me and offer something you may be needing or seeking.

This painting is so peaceful and nurturing to me...feels so wonderful to paint it...soothing and almost hypnotic...love the colors so far...singing to Jimmy Buffett today while painting...LOL!

Interesting process...the art of dancing...give and take...freedom...movement...personal space...leading and following...rhythm...expression....without words it speaks volumes...can dance around something or take it on directly...mind, body, spirit...connection through the movement that increasing when one allows their natural rhythm to emerge and stay...

I wish you could see this painting in person...the colors are distorted with the light blue and there is actually more pink and green in it then the photo shows...but you get the idea...I love this painting...first painting started and completed in the new place...I'd say the casita has good artisitic vibes:)

Contemplating the dance...there are so many dances with ourselves and when we meet another...there is the physical dance...the rhythm and pulse...then the dance of the heart...that's the next stage...the inner realm of the dance...what it means to dance that dance...it's the place where many get lost...say they can't do it...or just get off the dance floor...I'm that person that wants to see where the dance goes...the physical beat into the feeling realm...moving in rhythm with that physical...the true dance...back and forth...exchange...deeper...enhancing the physical...I like the dance floor...

The movement in this painting comes to me in color when I listen to my favorite caribbean and spanish music so I decided to paint it out today...I am sure it will morph into something else as always but it was so much fun to free style paint and get paint EVERYWHERE!!!

I thought I would have completed this one before moving out of the old place but instead I finished outside on the porch of my casita. The pictures don't capture the movement of this one...another 3' by 4' one...I hope someone starts buying these soon...I am running out of storage space:-) looking forward to finally starting a new painting now that this one has completed itself.

The Art with Heart Program at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts(SWIHA) has selected 3 of my paintings for their spring show that runs from 4/1/11 – 7/29/11. Stage 4: New Painting Observing Nature Continues

2/12/2011 - Stage 4: The word that keeps repeating today as I paint is creation...so I'm going with it. The painting is definitely morphing and I love the direction it's going in...plus it helps me avoid packing for my move to my new place...lol! This will be the last canvas I work on in the old apartment...the place has served me well these last 3 years...now how do I avoid paying for the paint on the carpet?? :)

02/09/11 - Stage 3: Painting is taking on a life of its own. Using everything but a brush to paint this one...not quite sure what I'm trying to say with this one yet but I am enjoying the unusual process...feels like the last painting I will complete in this old apartment...

01/21/11 - Stage 2: Felt like painting this evening so I added to the bottom part of the painting. I have a full image of this painting and I know what I am trying to get across but don't quite feel like I have words for it yet but it's a new feeling arising from a transformative moment.

01/17/11 - Stage 1: Working on a new painting that was inspired by several sunsets I saw over the long weekend and some of the mountain images that crossed by path while driving this week. I have a strong image in my mind on this one but we'll see what develops...just feels good to paint today:)

01/08/2011: Stage 6: - Finally feel like this one has reached completion. Leading with an open heart into the new year. The feel of the painting in person has such an open feeling to it and the energy and colors of the heart chakra just add to it. There's alot of mind, body, spirit connections going on in this piece...at least for me. Happy to have this one done;)

01/02/2011: Stage 5: - Discussed this one with a friend today...wasn't sure if I was finished or if the energy was now shifting to a different place...I'd say it's shifting...I think this one will be very different from where it started. Also ready to start a few new ones...need to borrow that truck for the giant canvas now;)

11/08/2010: Stage 4 - Starting to take shape and capture the vision I have for this one...love the feel of this one...

11/07/2010: Stage 3 - Deconstruction phase...it may not look like I know where I am going with this one but oh the vision is bright and beautiful...there are many layers to this one...

11/06/2010: It's been awhile since I felt like painting but I guess I just needed time and space to find my way back to the center of this particular piece...It's definitely a new look and feel then the series of paintings from this past year...looks like the music in the background continues to be jazz guitar...It'll feel good to continue with this one...has alot of meaning for me on a very personal level.

10/14/2010: I am starting a new series of paintings based on a powerful meditation I had...will be interesting to see what develops:) I listen to different music while I paint...Gipsy Kings, Bolero Gypsies, Armik, Estaban, Tribal, Reiki, Mana, Santana...really depends on my mood...I started listening to Anthony Mazzella most recently and his music is the right feel for this current process...
