The Proverbs On Love

Love affairs leave good happy memories tucked in slits of time.

Indeed, the fun of life!

If one had loved, there is no cause of alarm. It is of God.

Love accepts and pardons. True love endures and hopes for the best. In most ways, it spreads light to everyone and comforts.

Love waits. It grows wise.

It prays for all from dawn till dusk. No human can ever justify nor contest its power. God lets it prosper to nurture the earth.

Marriage and children are its harvest. Better communities are its stronger seeds. The manifestation of a sweet kiss and a light hug delight the giver and receiver, as the respectful bow or the common hand shake.

The book of Proverbs speaks about love. Check below.

Chapter 4:14-17

Don't do as the wicked do. Avoid their haunts. Turn away, go somewhere else, for evil men don't sleep until they've done their evil deed for the day. They can't rest unless they cause someone to stumble and fall. They eat and drink wickedness and violence!

Thought: Choose your friends. Good friends stay forever. Avoid those who plot evil.

Chapter 4:23-26

Above all else, guard your affections. For they influence everything else in your life. Spurn the careless kiss of a prostitute. Stay far from her. Look straight ahead. Don't even turn your head to look. Watch your step. Stick to the path and be safe.

Thought: Remember the story of the moth. Stay away from the flame. The flame will burn you.

Chapter 5:21

For God is closely watching you, and he weighs carefully everything you do.

Thought: God knows the desires of your heart, mind, and body. He will take care of what you need. All things will work our together for good, if you look up to God.

Don't forget the story of the widow, when she gave her last cent, the story of the juggler when he offered his talent, and the stories of unsung martyrs and saints who gave their lives for others.

What can you let go for your loved ones? What can you sacrifice for your family, friends, community or country?

What can you share in the name of love?

I remember you, in ways that are invincible
In ways that are sleek and frail -

In those times that haunt
In those times of fleeting presence
That tick of time
Your heartbeat was mine.

Lord, we could do nothing but wait at what would come to us
We are nothing but dust, yet you made us your children
Our hands could not reach out, but only measure from one arm

On February 7: How To Make Writing Seem Easy

If you can appreciate things and most of God's creation, writing will be easy for you. If you can face challenges easily and reflect that steadfastness comes with every defeat, writing will be easy for you. If you can dream and love and hope, words will flow freely from your heart; you can write.

Writing is hard. Yes, difficult, especially, if you would harrow the words from your heart and press on and off the photographs in your mind. When you do this - you will go back to the past and use them as materials for writing. You must creatively observe the present. You must believe in the wonder of tomorrow.

No writer ever lived without knowing how to toil every single day. Tradition is a matter of much wider significance. It cannot be inherited, and if you want it you must obtain it by great labor (The Sacred Wood, T.S. Eliot).

Charles Lamb says that we should rise with the lark, and that we should lie down with the lamb (Essays of Elia).

On the other hand, writing is made easy through constant practice. Like spoken language, writing improves in hard labor.

Here are some tips:

1. Keep a daily journal. In your notebook write/make some notes about important daily activities. Block schedules and explain duties to be done. This is like keeping a diary. Also, you may write about work, reflections, letters, friends, family, lessons, God, and various topics. This will look like an academic notebook.

So: diary plus information equals the academic journal.

2. Maintain blogs online. This will help you express yourself and ideas. Sharing with a social network will help you and others communicate freely and collaborate for better communities.

3. Learn to appreciate life and the beauty in everyone. See how one works for a living and how he/she loves work. The beauty of work is common to all. It is an appreciation of God's gifts.

4. Make reading a habit. What would you write, if you never read and get information? Know how to select useful and entertaining materials.

5. Write sentences everyday.

6. Learn new words everyday. Refer to the dictionary. When we were younger we all learned how to spell, now we're older, we can continue the good habit of learning new words (one or two). Learning never stops.

7. Write emails and make your friends and family happy. Share with them.

8. Review basic grammar rules. Any good book in English will do.

I'm proud to be a blogger! Years ago, I didn't have enough ideas what blogging was all about. I thought it was insignificant, but I was wrong. It meant more than just recording or posting. In my profession, as a writer and a teacher, it has to be a part of me.

Blogging is almost the same as writing a diary, plotting a journal or writing down history. It is also a social networking tool and a gift of modern technology to collaborate on something useful for everyone.

The process of blogging defines time, man, and culture on the web. The entries that are posted will serve as materials for new ideas, new stories, and innovations around the world.

How often should you post?

On your blogs, you can post images, videos, and texts, among others.
Some post everyday. Some post a week. Some - every minute (Wow!), and the others, post as they just like. But the more serious bloggers post as often as possible.

2. History facts
3. Quotes
4. Prayers
5. Stories and poems
6. Articles
7. Songs
8. Online business
9. Best Trade deals

There are paid websites and free sign-up blogs. Both are helpful and would cater to everyone. The World Wide Web (www) is the world's bulletin board. Our global village is very complete with news, updates and everything. If you want copy of texts, you can print it or download files. It is technology's gift to us, as we have to utilize the lessons well. Communicating comes easy, even studying comes easy.

There is no discrimination online, only that you have to know how to use a computer.

To search for articles, you don't need to go to libraries, nor do a research for a long time. Articles are raining down online. Now it comes easier to ask experts because you can send an email and the questions to the expert. He/she might soon reply via email, as well. You can give your comments and be one with the blog communities.

Yesterday, you have to go to the malls for shopping or movie updates, but now you can just browse online. There are trailers on You Tube and there are shopping online pages which you can repost.

Also, libraries are not far from the house. Books, the Wikipedia, and a lot of significant information are online now. Even the earliest news could be posted. And you don't need to worry because there is the "internet etiquette" and copyright laws to guide the users. Each blog can link to another page.

Hence, the wonder of the internet! Hence, the wonder of blogging! Thank you God for our global communities!

On February 5. Love Notes And Candies

"Writing love notes," some say "...are for high school students." Way back in time, inside candy wrappers were love and caring notes: "Kiss me, I miss you, I love you... and a lot more." They're chocolates, hard candies, mints, sour balls and mallows everyone loves to eat.

But did you know that even adults are fascinated with these love-note craze? It's the same attending a wedding reception and everyone in the party becomes excited from the notes in the cake flowers, like "You'll soon meet your prince charming," or " Next week prepare for a romantic dinner."

Some teenagers use candy wrappers to make scribbles and give to friend, designed with stickers and with real candies and chocolates.

Loot bags come filled with messages and notes of specialized posters given during parties both for the young kids and the Mommy's. These are packages that culminate a gathering and occasions.

How to write love notes and make candies/chocolates:

1. Love Notes

Be creative.
Write from your heart's desire.
Get inspired with people, books, and life.
You can print from a computer, or write long hand.
Tuck notes with candies/container safely.
Be sure to make surprising effects.

2. Candies

You can roll powdered milk with some amount of condensed milk, then sugar. Mould in a tray, cut and wrap.

You can also make into small balls, then roll into sugar.

Or:

Make "Yema" balls. Boil a can of condensed milk around an hour (estimate till condensed milk turns brown)

Form balls. This is ready to eat. Or if you want, dip into newly cooked caramelized sugar. Wait till candy hardens.

3. Chocolates

Bars can be cooked in low heat or microwave (as directed in the chocolate bar baking time). Quickly pour chocolate into molder. Wait till chocolate hardens.

Or: you can have marshmallows, cornflakes, cookies, strawberries, nuts in your chocolates before putting it to molder.

These are your personalized candies and foodie treats that could go with the love-note you've created.

However, if you are busy and cannot cook and prepare the candies and chocolates; varied sweets are around supermarkets and stores. Just take your pick of M&M's, LifeSavers, sour balls, Hersheys, marshmallows, chocolate pies, cookies, gummies - and attach the note that you've written for your friend on a card or gift tag.

What more? Halloween is coming, Christmas is coming, New Year and Valentine. Sweets never go unwanted they're sought and will make special gifts for friends, families, and everyone special. Please don't forget to share...

On February 4. How To Write Objectively On A Controversial Topic

Journalism is writing objectively. You need significant and primary data to write articles.

A controversial topic is somewhat unsafe to write or the writer might turn out to be scandalous, or be charged with libel.

Columnists are experts on these controversial topics like politics, law, economic trends, societal issues, government foibles, and current events issues, among others. They know which techniques to use.

Also, the editorial page of newspapers says a lot and explains on such issues.

Before you can write about the controversial issues, you have to study the topic thoroughly, like present enough evidence, conduct an updated research and interview. Moreover, go into investigative journalism. The positive (advantages) and negative (disadvantages) sides must be noted in detail and comprehensively. Beware of gossip, this will demerit your credibility. The writer (journalist/reporter), who delivers authentic facts is standing on a strong ground. If the readers find out, or the editors/publisher might have missed out that you were making-up stories, the writer's career is doomed.

If you present true data, then you are safe to give your points. Be fair as possible. Get some people or specialists to testify on the controversy, but don't keep blaming someone or be too preachy. The readers are intelligent. They have their own minds to explore on the topic. Just give them the lead and lay down your information, then your points or principles, and others points, as fair as possible. Remember that objectivity is true facts and figures.

Show the data strongly, and avoid the word "maybe."

Here are some tips for your news and controversial topics:

1. The facts must be accurate. When in doubt, "leave out."
2. The facts are not opinions.
3. Answer carefully the questions pertaining to the facts.
4. Omit unnecessary details. The controversial topic is not literature.
5. Present an evidence.
6. Present statistics.
7. Get a sharp photo about the topic.
8. Interview experts on the topic.
9. Be prepared to answer queries.
10. Verify and check the facts. (reference books and/or source books)

Examples of controversial topics are bills passed by law makers, councils, and those that concern the public welfare. But then, in any undertaking courage is needed. If you have something significant to report or verify, if it holds the truth: don't be afraid.

Truth wins, even way up from the popular. In this present time, we have what we call "people's power, community power, and networks, among others.

So why not? If it's good for all, truth is the only way out! Write about it, it's the one way out.

Folklore would not be complete without its many traditional, and oftentimes herbal medications, remedies, and healing methods. In fact, different countries have methods and treatments that are unique. The healing power of herbs - whether culled from the people of yore or learned in a 21st century lab - has effects that cannot be denied.

Among the world's earliest civilizations, food and medicine were inextricably linked, and many plants were eaten for their health-giving properties. For example, armies of slave workers who laboured to build the Egyptian pyramids survived on a meal which included a daily ration of garlic in order to ward off pestilence and fever.

Consider too, the dark age of Europe, into the medieval period, when herbs were painstakingly grown in monasteries. Each monastery had its own "Physics" garden, abounding in herbs that were used to treat the ailments of both the monks and the local folks who dwelled in the surrounding areas.

From indigenous local fruits and vegetables that are organically grown come combination of extracts for healing, stamina, and as body supplements. The mode of extraction follows a traditional method, like the fruit fermentation process, among others.

I. For treatment requiring the use of plants, take the following guides

1.Use only one plant medicine at a time.
2. Use only stainless or earthen cooking utensils (Aluminum reacts chemically with medicinal elements in plants.
3.Don't cover cooking utensil when boiling (to release toxins).
4.Take decoction either hot or cold. Strain before taking it.
5. Wash thoroughly leaves, barks, flowers, roots.
6. Individual with allergic reactions to with some plants are not encouraged to use herbal medications.

II. Herbal medication for constipation

Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Have a regular time to sit down on the toilet bowl. Have a regular exercise. Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits.

Papaya/Carica Papaya (ripe fruit). Eat one big slice every morning for breakfast.

Yellow Bell. Boil 5 leaves in 2 glasses of water for 10 minutes. Drink at least 2 glasses a day.

Malunggay leaves/Horse Radish tree. Eat one cup boiled leaves with meals.

Take this caution: Remember that healing wonders of herbs are not substitutes for the doctor's prescription. Consult a doctor if necessary.

On February: Heart's Month

February is a love month. It is also the month of St. Valentine's feast day. And don't forget the Chinese New Year. For families and sacred marriages, it is a day of Cupid. Cupid in Greek Mythology is the god of love.

February is also the beginning of lent season; where we celebrate the Ash Wednesday. Have you thought of its significance to life? "From dust to dust..." Mardi Gras or street-partying and dancing come celebrated in some parts of the world in this month, too.

But don't worry GOD is love, so love never dies. We all live to love and be happy.

Here are 10 words for February, which I defined and researched for you, as my gift for the heart's month:

1. love: charity, sacrifice, heart

It's the Same for 2012: A Journey To Life; And The Show Must Go On

There were those times I've wondered why clowns cry when they're supposed to laugh. Those were the younger days.

In theaters, usually, there's a showcase of varied emotions painted on the artist's masks. The most popular of which are the two faces: a crying face and a laughing face. Usually, the colors of black and white are painted on the faces dividing it from top of the head down to the chin. I remember day and night, close to sun and moon. I remember life and death, when there's laughing and crying.

Perhaps, there were those times I got scared of these clowns, and that bite of sadness upon looking at their faces.

The clowns add happiness to parties and gatherings. Usually, kids like them, such as the burger clown, Jack in the Box, and carnival clowns in Disney.

But then, clowns can also be frightening as shown in thriller movies and artistic dramas. And don't forget funny and naughty Joker in Batman.

And who would not know the Hat man, portrayed by Johnny Depp in the movie "Alice in Wonderland," taken from the novel of Lewis Carroll.

Moreover, "Mardi Gras" displays a vast picture of masked faces, as in Halloween parties. Traditional dancing and feast/ritual dancing are made up of people with adornment and tattoos. Hence, reinventing!

This 2011 another answer came up for my clown question; when groups of youth and kids performed during the "Feast of the Holy Infant Jesus" at St. Hannibal Seminary. The numbers were well-practiced as by the audience' applause. Most of the performers were kids, who wonderfully danced with their artistic costumes made of old newspapers and plastic bags. The kids made-up of painted colors on their faces and bodies, danced like "Tinker Bell," in Peter Pan, among others.

Another number from the youth came dramatic. One participant tried his best (perhaps to win and bring a trophy for the group) to make a presentation as in a carnival, but then some things just don't turn up right, sometimes, and still the actor came dancing, as if nothing happened. This group won the first.

So why do clowns cry when they're supposed to laugh? They do. They have beating hearts, too. Life must go on. Behind the curtains are real life situations that couldn't be announced on top of synagogues for accolades and medals.

So the show must go on. Saint Hannibal's activities for children (orphans and the poor) serve to support the children and the youth that would make them busy, prudent, and praying apostles of Christ.

On Writing: The Devoted Writer

Everyone can write, but how do hard working writers do their tasks?

The Writer

The writer must be keen enough to create something vivid in the age and time they live. Their expertise differ from an ordinary or common written material when the work stands the test of time. How writers value hard labor and continue despite odds and criticism are also standards of their professionalism.

The real writers know in their heart, they cannot survive if they don't create and build these letter blocks again and again. They cannot stop reading words and books like sharpening the blades of the brain like a youth. They cannot be calm, until they draw the soul out into the paper like a wizard.

They will find there's a big hole of a crater in the heart, if they can't write. The madness in them will creep like hemlock in the time the inspiration prods like bolts of current in the veins. They have to write to let others and the readers know the grandiose of God's creations.

They must write.

Writing Exercises

1. Learn about adjectives. Get new words everyday. Try to be updated with popular words around.

2. Do writing prompts or gloss a word.

Writing prompts can be done in response by expressing more thoughts and reactions about a topic, an idea, or a set of texts. Be sure to give credit to the author of the manuscript. Indicate sources.

Expert writers do these well. They are familiar with various writing forms and have read volumes of books.

Do a writing prompt on any poem or from any Bible verse.

Glossing a word is finding more meanings of a word aside from how it was used in the text. This is from the reader's point of reference.

Gloss a familiar expression. Get popular words from the internet. Also, try the Urban Word Dictionary or the Merriam Webster online for updates. Learn which words could be useful or junked in your sentences or paragraphs.

3. More Writing Tips

For the right appeal, subjects must be timely. Is there something new about it?

How about the textual components? Is there enough substance?

Be careful with the data or statistics. Research is a must to make the manuscript more challenging and interesting for the readers.

Who are your readers? Articles or stories in newspapers are for everyone. In magazines, materials can vary from men's fashion, parenting, women's issues, culture updates, subject references, and housekeeping, among others.

People who succeed are those people who are happy with what they do. They are not ashamed to toil their hands and work hard. They are not selfish to share talents, but generous to serve. They are those who know how to balance work and play. They are the people who find meaning in life.

Success is not just acquiring wealth, but being contented with life and work.

Work is a calling. It is a vocation of life. Like all parts of the body, each person is valuable to a group or community. Each person plays a part to make the world a better place to live in. Each person needs to support the community in the job (big or small) he has. In God's eyes, everyone is the same. Each person deems a duty to God and others. Fulfilling a duty is success already.

Stop thinking, "If only..."

When doing something, you should do it with your whole heart. The mind has limits, but the heart has no limits to work. Mistakes can be corrected and the blaming part should stop.

Many would say:

"If only had I worked for the right company."

These are tags of disappointments and unending regrets. A good worker moves on, if an inch each passing day. Your life is in the actions you make.

Time is money. Know that we all have 86,400 seconds everyday. Avoid people who always complain. A person who always complains is nobody's friend. Avoid negative people.

Spend each day wisely, accomplishing something good for yourself and others.

Count your blessings.

You are lucky to be able to use your hands, your feet, your eyes, your mind, and your brain to work. To work is a blessing. See those who are born with defects, but are thankful enough and trying hard to fit in the world of movement.

Conquer the weaker self. Be strong in trials. If you've survived some difficulties, it is a big win! Be happy and thankful you were chosen to serve. In many ways, know you are part of progress in whatever job you do.

In 2011: By GOD's Grace

When I was in high school, some of us were given free small bible copies. And because we were in a State college, we only got to celebrate a few masses in school during the week. If we were lucky, we went to where the mass would be celebrated because we didn't have a built-in chapel or a prayer room at that time.

The bibles were given to us by Protestants. Yes, they were Christians. I thank them for such a gift. My Catholic religion also offered me a lot of prayer books and some story books. My mother bought us a lot of inspirational materials. My favourite was the comic stories of saints published by St. Paul's. The pictures and drawings were attractive, which made me read it more.

In my college years, during some weekends we had bible sharing activities with a priest and a brother in our parish named, "Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage."

Also, I attended some bible sharing sessions with my protestant classmates. I was welcomed in their church. I guess I'm a bit lucky, or would I say it was by God's grace that I met these nice people.

I even had Muslim friends. Our religions didn't stop us from keeping each other and remain good friends. We respected and helped each other. Maybe, that was how I saw the Almighty in his different clothes and faces.

I read five or ten chapters of the bible, a day. The stories thrilled me. Of course, I did not understand everything. I just kept on reading it. I read the themes I desired. Later, I finished the whole book for the very first time. I regarded it as sets of simple stories like finishing a book assignment. Maybe, the Holy Spirit guided my lack of knowledge. Moreover, I felt entertained.

When I got married, I gave a bible gift to my husband. The title was "The Way," an illustrated Catholic edition. It became our bible in our small home. During my spare time (since I've been a housekeeper for many years), it helped me enjoy the boring routine of chores. It served as my teacher in the house, mentoring my thoughts. Again, I read five to ten chapters a day. I highlighted words, phrases, paragraphs in yellow (crayon or highlighter) until I finished reading everything, for the second time. I haven't memorized or remembered the facts though, but then, I guess He put the words in me out of grace and love. It was the prayer to the Holy Spirit that sufficed my little brain. The intellect didn't bother me while reading it. I knew my limitations as a common reader. It was evident I was not into a religious life and a master in Bible studies. However, I contained which I could only understand and daily apply in my family life and as a God's child.

Now, I'm trying the prayer prompts in the Psalms. I'm not into anything, just praying then. I didn't even realize I would be writing these prompts. But then again, I was able to write these little prayers from the heart, by God's grace.

Here's a list of lessons so common, yet deep, thriving thoughts of light in everyday encounters with life:

God will give us what we want and what we can share to others.
We have to wait patiently and act courageously through the bumpy roads of life.
We have to accept what comes to us, trusting an Almighty Creator.
He will supply our needs.
God is our refuge.
All things will work our together for good for those who love God and obey his laws.
The greatest of everything and anything is love.
Jesus saves.
He is our refuge all the time, so we don't have to be afraid.
We are his children; love is eternal.

To Decide Or Not To Decide

Success counts the power to decide.

If one gets too close to comfort or procrastinates, fulfillment of goals will seem too heavy or tasks will be unfinished. Most likely, there will be no clear outcomes, but unfinished duties. Indecision may show lack of plans and a wavering will. Success needs a brave heart.

But then, during the act of deciding one will need a pure intention to win and achieve goals. In this 21st century, if bad guys loiter around, the power of the crowd, communities and networks will trap them slowly and soon justice will lash them a verdict. The age of good workers has come for the benefit of everyone, especially to uplift the poor.

But then, know there are risks, too. That is why alternate plans and still more plans must be on the reserved drives. It should not be hanging oneself or others up a tree, but hanging on the hands of God. The hands of God lift in any dead end, even in the roads not taken.

Never decide, if responsibility be denied. Never decide, and later blame others. Never decide and weep, but head on leading the force.

In the book of Herbert Casson titled, The Business Success Series, the author writes, "Judgment, however sound, is of no value until it ends in decision."

For example, if ideas wouldn't be applied and acted on they will remain as ideas forever. These thoughts unless put to work and shared will never achieve any result in any way.

Knowledge must be put to work in a wise undertaking that will spark and create more ideas.

"Find out what to do and do it," H. Casson adds.

Many successful people aimed only at a goal, but acted on it.

So the rule goes as just do what's supposed to be done. Think what could be best for all. Do not pull down people for gain, but try to pull them up in every small way. Do admonish for good, even if it will bring unpopularity because there is no end but truth.

Act and decide prudently.

Not deciding is not accepting responsibility. Indecision can also be a sign of selfishness, as to gain nothing, but for the self. It is in all ways, cowardice.

In the Holy Bible, it says that you have to choose between God and mammon. It could not be neutral. And remember in making a promise, do not swear by the heaven or the earth, just say a simple "Yes," or "No."

Many successful people decide based on the following factors. Here are some tips.

1. Weigh the advantages and the disadvantages
2. Majority vote
3. Secret balloting or checklists
4. Feasibility study
5. Survey and statistics
6. Patterns and experiments
7. As to necessities or priority goals
8. As to budgets
9. As to workable projects
10. Community leaders and workers
11. Samples
12. Emergencies
13. Case-to-case duties
14. Safety of everyone
15. Challenges and inspiration
16. Vision and strategies
17. Plans
18. Good results
19. Unity, peace, and love
20. Collaboration and fast results

In any way, while working on a decision, wisdom will come with the help of the Holy Spirit.

In 2011: A Small Prayer From The Heart

It is the Sacred Heart day. Let me share some thoughts about the love of God.

We have to understand how the power of GOD works.

It works when the heart is all pure, or after a confession, transformation, and the daily struggles with the changes and some imperfections of life.

We cannot hide from the reality that life is borrowed and only an Almighty owns it. We must always remember that the Almighty accepts man to become His children. Such is a gift from Jesus Christ.

We have to understand how the power of GOD works. Each must find the purpose of which he/she is born. In any field or status or color of skin, we are supposed to be a connection of good workers to serve and make our communities thrive in an ultimate purpose to make the world a better place for everyone.

He, who has an abundance should share more, and he, who has less should adjust and share in any way. The big sun and the speck of dust are both God's creation. Each has its own benefit to get as its own contribution to give.

The power of the Holy Spirit will be our guide in discernment. It will teach those the books or age cannot teach at once, but it will spark a lucid hot flame of miracle that will spread light for all to see and understand.

If your thoughts are of heaven, of service and of love for all, God will show the path. No matter what storm comes, you will stand steadfast as a rock and be happy. Your goals will succeed.

Those who will follow what you shared will be blessed, as well.

Forever, the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus stays.

Now, the love of God is here and will be until the end of time.

Dear God,

In 2011: Being Wrong Is Easy, Admitting It is the Hard Part

Human weakness results to error or sin.

Imperfection is part of a picture.

The fleeting hours of life are like hands that touch and repel.

Life is like a whirlpool of falling water, white snowy icing, and flower windmill. It is a fragrance of Christ's linen. Life is every new breath from God's mouth.

Life is beauty in all forms like a bud that stoops. It can be an old tree that bends and knees that touch the ground. The humble ground of dust and earth are like growing skyscrapers, and then tombs and houses that become a green field.

Admitting that one has been wrong, defines in a man a deep longing for change or transformation. This is one of the hardest acts to do. In various cultures a spoken word is like the word of a king.

Hence, a word spoken must be executed.

The warrior never retreats a battle even if it costs his life. A father and mother never give up on their child. A vow never betrays. In some aspects of life there are no turning back.

But what if you were wrong? What if you need to take your word back?

Would you fall on your knees? Would you eat your pride? Would you say I am sorry?

Is admitting a fault a sign of weakness?

In the Bible Peter denied Jesus three time. Later, he wept.

Judas became proud of his status and became too weak in his faith. Judas forgot that Jesus was a true friend and there was forgiveness in a family or a community.

Among others, Mary Magdalene, St. Paul and St. Augustine got converted to holiness because they embraced God's mercy and grace.

Matthew bowed to the altar and was humble compared to the gossiping Pharisees. Matthew admitted his sins. He tried his best to clean his thoughts of malice. He tried to open his heart in the ways of God.

"Let him who is without sin cast the first stone," Jesus said.

Why couldn't we just say, I am sorry?

Repentance culls deep from the heart to live lives anew. It says that God washes our hearts clean and white as snow. Jesus repeats all the time, "Fear not. I am with you."

The secret in asking pardon is a humble heart. The secret in granting pardon is the same.

The Father's love is more than our sins. He sees our hearts.

"Lord forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Pardon dear Lord, pardon."

B. Prayer to the Lord of Pardon

My Lord Jesus Christ, remember that I am a sinner.

Most Holy Virgin, pray for me.

You shall always be praised and blessed.

Pray for this sinner to your beloved son, precious beauty of the angels, the prophets and patriarchs, crown of the martyrs, apostles and confessors, glory of the seraphs, crown of the virgins, save me from the most fearful figure of the demon when my soul departs from my body.

Oh most holy fount of piety, and beauty of Jesus Christ, joy of the heaven, consolation of the clergy, remedy in our works with you virgin most prudent, the angels are happy.

Recommend my soul and the souls of all.

Pray for us to your blessed son,and take us to the eternal paradise where you reign and live forever, and there we will venerate you eternally, amen Jesus.

Sovereign Virgin Mary, mother of the living God, because you have delivered him, pray for all the sinners so that he may pardon us.

Save us from the wicked enemy that is fighting us and grant us the eternal glory.

Blessed be forever the sacred passion and death of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you, save souls. Amen.

In 2011: Three Simple Ways to Ruin A Friendship

You want to wreck your friendship? Here are the danger signs.

1. If you betray your friends, will they ever forget it?

Loyalty is the sweetest gift of friendship. Status, age or sex will not matter here. In any dimension of time or place a friend tries to be present, especially in very difficult situations. Honesty will be tried and tons of courage will bleed for a friend, and that is why many groups and communities are formed with a pledge or oath of duty.

Observe the military training, obedience for a vocation and/or priesthood, or an ordinary citizen's love for his/her country. See the loyalty of a servant to service, the love of parents to children, a soldier fighting in a war. How about the martyr's and the saint's true love for God and everyone?

Loyalty cannot be measured and paid any price. The giver and receiver live one heart and one mind. They both understand each other and are conscious of each other's needs. If however, a slip of loyalty ensues, as in the true repentance of Peter, the true friend will pardon and work to recover the true friendship.

Jesus Christ forgave Peter for denying him three times. Peter asked for forgiveness. They both understood that true love in the heart will wash away the wrong acts. Unlike Judas, Peter believed that the love of his friend, Jesus, was greater than his (Peter's) betrayal. On the other hand, Jesus still trusted Peter through what happened. True friendship is infallible.

2. Will you accept your friend, despite?

Despite some bad habits, will you accept your friend? He comes late for an appointment. He forgets something you told him about. He seems to be messy when eating and his cabinet stinks. Or, she often forgets to bring in some food, forgets your birthday, and doesn't show up in some meetings?

Sit and talk about for solutions to the problems. Make it like admonishing a family member, an office worker, a strange student or a forgetful and busy boss. The acceptance of each other is necessary. Remember that in acceptance, comes the duty of helping a friend to let him/her become a better person.

3. Are you so mean or indifferent?

Being so mean would never help. It will quickly destroy the relationship. Kindness and generosity should always rule friends. Selfishness is a "no-no." You don't go back to the past, bringing back unforgivable situations like digging graves.

Being indifferent is just like not giving any care, if at all. You must not give up on the friendship that easy. Friends have to communicate and understand each other to work up on situations and issues that need to be solved.

So watch out when you break the vow of fidelity or never forgive the other and accept some sacrifice. Know when you are mean or indifferent. If these happen, chances are your friendship will go down the drain.
