Though Nokia has its own Symbian OS, according to the Guardian, the Finnish company is planning Android-based smartphone that will be shown at the Nokia World in September this year. As smartphone is becoming more popular, it looks like Nokia is hoping to gain its market share in this growing segment by adopting the more advanced, open-sourced Android platform. Let’s wait and see.

The Asus N90Sv-A2 is available from Buy.com for $1680.99.

Asus N90Sv-A2 is a 18.4-inch multimedia notebook. It packs Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce GT130M graphics card with 1GB RAM. The notebook can be equipped with up to dual 1TB hard drive. It has a 18.4-inch 1920×1080 Full HD display and a DVD or Blu-ray optical drive.

Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth, 1.3 Megapixel webcam, 8-in-1 card rader, and HDMI connector. TweakTown has tested the N90Sv-A2 and comments:

In the end I come away with no major complaints about the N90Sv. The notebook has decent performance, but doesn’t break any performance records. The integrated Blu-ray player is nice, especially when coupled with the great 18-inch screen. The real issue with the N90Sv for me isn’t the machines performance as much as it is the price for performance. Much of the cost of the machine is tied up in the Blu-ray drive and the fantastic screen.

If gaming is your bag, the Gateway P-7808u FX is nearly identically priced but offers much higher performance than the N90Sv, but it lacks the Blu-ray option. The N90Sv is a very capable multimedia notebook and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the machine. Just be sure that you plan to use the Blu-ray drive heavily to justify the cost of the machine. If you won’t really use the Blu-ray, you can get significantly more performance elsewhere for the same money.

Overall TweakTown Rating: 90%

LG’s Viewty Smart GC900 is the cellphone maker’s second Viewty touchscreen phone. The Viewty Smart features a 3-inch 800×480 touchscreen and a 8 Megapixel camera. It supports A-GPS, WiFi, video recording and HSDPA 7.2Mbps network.

TrustedReviews has test the Viewty Smart GC900 and comments:

Verdict

All told, then, the LG Viewty Smart GC900 is a difficult beast to pin down. Its camera isn’t quite good enough to make it a true camera phone, it lacks a sophisticated enough web browser and email client to even come close to rivalling the iPhone or other smartphones. Its missing headphone jack and lack of hardware controls mean it’s not a dedicated music phone, and it’s not so cheap (like the Nokia 5800 Express Music) that it makes for a truly low cost alternative to all the other touchscreen phones. Nonetheless, it’s an elegant, easy to use all rounder available at a decent price.

Fujitsu has launched the M2010 in the US market and the netbook has been reviewed by NotebookReview. The tested unit is powered by Intel’s Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM and 160GB hard drive. It supports WiFi and Bluetooth.

NotebookReview’s comments:

The Fujitsu M2010 is a late arrival to the netbook market, offering very good looks and build quality, but with a high price and not so excellent performance. Compared to some of the newer netbooks on the market its benchmarks fall towards the bottom of the list, and battery life came up way short with the 3-cell battery. With its good looks and high build quality it seems to be pushed towards business customers, which might explain the higher price. Overall for if the price was about $100 less it would be much more attractive.

Pros:

Great looks

Solid feeling chassis with high quality components

Cons:

High price

Some odd default performance settings

Small standard battery

Jobo AG just introuces the Curve series digital photo frames that offer pretty basic functions. The Curve 7 has a 7-inch 480×234 LCD display while the Curve 8 gets a 8-inch 800×600 display, both with 300:1 contrast ratio.

The Cuve frames can display JPEG images and they support SD and MMC cards. There is also a USB OTG port.
