Get MySpeed at Enounce by Clicking Here

Speed Learning: How you can learn 2x or even 3x as fast when watching online videos or listening to online audios for your courses, entertainment, or just something that you are interested in learning more about! You’ll be able to do the things that you want to do with the time that you saved. The strategy that I’ll show you has allowed me to save 255 hours (that’s more than 10 FULL days!) so that I have that time to do the things that I want to do!

Plus, this strategy that I’m going to show you is also going to help you speed through those annoying commercials that always seem to play in front of videos – this way, instead of waiting 30 seconds for your video to play since there’s a commercial first, you’ll be able to speed through it in just 10 seconds.

Essentially, our brains can process information at a much faster rate than the speed at which an average person speaks. The average person speaks at about 120 to 150 words per minute. However, the fastest policy debate candidates can often speak anywhere from 350 to 500 words per minute. The point is that the people listening to the policy debate candidates can still understand them even though they’re talking at 2 to 3 times the speed of the average person.

This shows that our brains can process information at least 2 to 3 times faster than the speed at which an average person speaks at.

So the way that we’re going to train you at speed learning is through relativity. It’s pretty similar to if you wanted to get to some place, and you start out by walking. Now, if you really need to get to that destination and you’re in a race, that’s say you start racing at the speed, which is 3x faster than your normal speed of walking. Everything may seem super fast to you as people, buildings, cars rush you by – and it seems like it’s hard for you to see all the information.

Now, if you were to slow it down to a jog…so at a speed that’s 2x faster than your normal speed of walking…then all of a sudden, it seems like you can see all the information (or at least in more detail) of what’s passing you by you are jogging compared to when you were racing at 3x speed. This is because your brain was on super fast speed, and now that it’s on a slower speed, it feels like it can take in information easier than on super fast speed.

DO NOTE that even though you may feel slower while jogging at 2x speed as compared to racing at 3x speed…it’s still TWICE as FAST as if you were walking. This means you’ll get to your destination TWICE as FAST and still absorb all the information.

So watch the video above on how this works…

  1. Get a copy of MySpeed Enounce – click here
  2. Get a video that’s at least 6 minutes and watch this at 3x speed
  3. Get a video that’s at least 4 minutes and watch this at 2x speed – notice how you can actually absorb the information much faster now

What to Eat Before and During the Exam? What Not to Eat? http://iwanthighmarks.com/what-to-eat-before-and-during-the-exam-what-not-to-eat/ http://iwanthighmarks.com/what-to-eat-before-and-during-the-exam-what-not-to-eat/#comments Wed, 25 Sep 2013 03:54:52 +0000 http://iwanthighmarks.com/?p=469

So when you’re studying or right before your exam, you may be stressing out…and so you reach for your favorite junk food, chips, chocolate, whatever you are feeling… The problem with that is the oil and carbs are going to be working against you during your exam or studying since it’ll take extra effort on your stomach to go digest the oil and carbs as compared to if you were to eat something healthy.

In fact, you won’t be able to concentrate during your exam since your body will start to digest whatever you ate likely within half an hour…so you’re going to be falling asleep and lacking concentration since your blood’s going to help you digest, instead of flowing to your brain to help you think through your exam and concentrate during your studying.

That being said – What Should You Eat Before and During the Exam?

Before the exam, whether it’s a test, midterm, or final, I will eat a banana since there’s chemicals in there to help calm you down during the exam. This way, when you’re freaking out during the exam, at least you won’t be freaking out as much and you can keep a better focus. I’ll eat it about half an hour to an hour before the exam so that it’ll have enough time to digest in time for me to be calm during the exam.

During the exam, I’ll eat almonds or walnuts – you can bring in a pack of almonds or walnuts into your exam room as they’re great brain foods to boost more power for your brain. Also, if you’re freaking out, munching on almonds or walnuts will help you ease your nervousness since you’ll have something to do instead of concentrating on being nervous.

Share comments below or with your friends on this blog post as to what are foods that you’ve tried which worked well when you were studying or during the exam? I’d love to find out!

How Your Attitude Affects Your Exam More than How Smart You Are or How Much You Studied http://iwanthighmarks.com/how-your-attitude-affects-your-exam-more-than-how-smart-you-are-or-how-much-you-studied/ http://iwanthighmarks.com/how-your-attitude-affects-your-exam-more-than-how-smart-you-are-or-how-much-you-studied/#comments Thu, 06 Dec 2012 06:48:01 +0000 http://iwanthighmarks.com/?p=464

Last Friday, Nov. 30, there was  super exciting news for me – I passed my final exam for my Chartered Accountant license. This has been a 2 year journey, consisting of 6 previous courses while I worked full time after I graduated.

In addition, this required taking 2 months off to study – Mondays through Friday from 9 to 5. It was a gruelling 3 day exam.

However, I passed not because I was the best accountant or knew the most accounting knowledge.

There are many who are smarter than me, who knew more than me, but some of them failed…WHY?

Find out in my complimentary training video on what you can do to ensure you pass your exam, that I used during my 3 day exam (5 hours consecutively each day) to help me pass.

Why your attitude actually plays a bigger part in how well you do on a test than how much you study or how smart you are…find out in my training video.

P.S. Please post any comments or questions – I will personally read these and respond to these.

Here’s to You Getting High Marks.

Read Faster and Memorize Easier from Your Textbooks http://iwanthighmarks.com/read-faster-and-memorize-easier-from-your-textbooks/ http://iwanthighmarks.com/read-faster-and-memorize-easier-from-your-textbooks/#comments Thu, 27 Sep 2012 01:11:51 +0000 http://iwanthighmarks.com/?p=459

Reading faster and memorizing easier from your textbooks is a big problem for a lot of people.

When you first get your textbook to read – a lot of people simply try and read through everything, then try to remember everything, only to find that they fail miserably at it and can’t recall that much information. The reason is because if you try and read as well as memorize everything, that’s only going to work for recalling information if you have a photographic memory, which most people (including myself) don’t have.

Instead, what your teacher/professor will really test on are the main points. Before I go into the technique, I want to tie something into this to help you learn this technique…

Why do movies have commercials? It’s because it allows us to remember it easier so that we can determine if we want to watch it.The commercial has the main plot line or the main points of the movie.

Similarly, when you read through your textbooks, you should be on the look out for the main points first so that you know what you should be focused on for your tests.

That’s why, when you first get your textbook, you should start your reading by ONLY reading the following:

1. Headings

2. Sub-Headings

3. Titles of Tables, Figures, and Illustrations.

The reason is because all of these are the main points of that chapter. As such, it gives your brain a way to know the main points first. Then, any reading of the actual paragraphs of text will only be to serve more information of the main point.

Once you have finished going through your chapter and looking at only the headings, sub-headings, and titles – then you can do a second read of the actual text. At this time, because your brain knows what the important points are, your sub-concious will be reading through the textbook and recalling information only to support the main points – meaning you have less to memorize as opposed to the entire chapter. In addition, you may find yourself reading faster as well since your brain will know what the non-important information is as you’re reading through and you’ll simply ignore those sections.

The benefit of reading this way is that you actually read through the main points twice (once initially and once during the detailed reading of the textbook) – which’ll help you remember since people need to be exposed to the information a few times before they’ll memorize it.

Please let me know how well this technique works by posting comments below and feel free to share this with your friends and family to help them do better in school

Back to School Shopping Savings and Deals! http://iwanthighmarks.com/back-to-school-shopping-savings-and-deals/ http://iwanthighmarks.com/back-to-school-shopping-savings-and-deals/#comments Tue, 28 Aug 2012 19:00:23 +0000 http://iwanthighmarks.com/?p=446

All the stores are talking about back to school shopping…

And I want to help you save even more on back to school shopping (up to 50%!) from the stores that you’re going to buy from anyways since I know what it’s like to be a student and to want to make sure you don’t go broke from back to school shopping.

That’s why I’ve created a video for you on how to save 2% to 50% off your back to school shopping:

1. Go to www.Shop.com/AngelaLinCgy – this is a site that does comparison shopping to give you the best deals on a specific product as it searches for the best pricing from a variety of online stores.

This is FREE to sign up – simply sign up by going to: http://bit.ly/RpbyJy

Even better, you can get what’s known as “cash back”. For example, if you have a 2% cash back, then when you buy $100, you’ll be able to get $2 back in cash. And the cash is a cheque paid to you so you can spend it on whatever you like, not specifically at the store that you’ve first got the cash back from.

2. Type in what you want to buy into the search bar and it’ll search through all of the stores that offer the product that you want.

3. You can narrow it down by stores, or price, so that you can get the cheapest price!  Then, you’ll be able to see how much you can get back in terms of cash for each product.

4. It also automatically searches through thousands of stores to provide you with a listing of the prices offered by the different stores so you can see which one has the cheapest pricing and the best cashback.

5. You can then check-out through the actual store (for example, if you are to buy from company ABC, you’ll actually go through the ABC site to order it), then, immediately, you’ll see your cash back balance added to your account when you log in.

6. Best part – you can invite your friends and family  in US, Canada, or Mexico so that they can sign up for free to save on back to school shopping (as well as other everyday products) – and you get 0.5% cash back of everything that they purchase in the future.

So get started now for free to save on your back to school shopping, get paid, and help your friends out while getting paid for your referrals – Visit www.Shop.com/AngelaLinCgy

Save on Textbooks and Books – 9 Steps! http://iwanthighmarks.com/save-on-textbooks-and-books-9-steps/ http://iwanthighmarks.com/save-on-textbooks-and-books-9-steps/#comments Thu, 23 Aug 2012 19:06:54 +0000 http://iwanthighmarks.com/?p=438

One of the things I hate the most is having to spend so much on textbooks when you only use it for one course most of the time and it just sits there collecting dust.

To help you save money and even make money from your textbooks when you tell your friends, watch the video below that I’ve created for you:

1. Go to www.Shop.com/AngelaLinCgy – this is a site that does comparison shopping to give you the best deals on a specific product as it searches for the best pricing from a variety of online stores.

This is FREE to sign up.

2. Type in your textbook title into the search bar and it’ll search through all of the stores that offer your textbook (You can also narrow it down using Authors)
3. Then, you’ll be able to see how much you can get back in terms of cash for each product.
4. It sifts through thousands of stores to provide you with a listing of the prices offered by the different stores so you can compare best pricing and cash back.
5. You can also set a price notification so that if your textbook or book goes on sale, you will get an email notification letting you know which store has an offer for you.

6. You can then check-out through the actual store (for example, if you are to buy from company ABC, you’ll actually go through the ABC site to order it), then, immediately, you’ll see your cash back balance added to your account when you log in.
7. You can sell your used textbook to make sure your textbooks by going to “Stores” on the navigation and look for Bookbyte.com under “B” to do this.
8. Best part – you can invite your friends in US, Canada, or Mexico so that they can sign up for free to save on textbooks and books (as well as other everyday products) – and you get 0.5% cash back of everything that they purchase in the future.

9. So get started now for free to save on your textbooks and books, get paid, and help your friends out while getting paid for your referrals – Visit www.Shop.com/AngelaLinCgy

Student Success Principles – 3 Easy Steps http://iwanthighmarks.com/student-success-principles-3-easy-steps/ http://iwanthighmarks.com/student-success-principles-3-easy-steps/#comments Thu, 10 May 2012 16:47:40 +0000 http://iwanthighmarks.com/?p=433

Recently, I was inspired by an expert to create a video of 3 principles that I follow to help me reach success in life. Student success and also success in life is something that we’re constantly striving towards. Therefore, to help you reach success faster, you can take a look at my 3 principles that I follow and may give you some ideas for you:

Principle #1: In the morning when you wake up, think of 3 Things that you can help achieve which allows you to minimize your effort and maximize your results. Also, think of 3 people that you can help (whether that’s your classmate, friend, boss, family, or colleage) while still applying the minimum effort and maximum results rule. The reason is because if you help others, they’ll eventually return the help and karma will give you more opportunities in life to succeed.

Principle # 2: Be grateful for the small or simple things in life

A lot of times, we are too jaded and stop having as much fun or laughter in our life as we used to. Think back to when you were younger, what made you laugh or be happy? Why is it that just because you got older, you can’t laugh or be happy with the same thing? We always want more and more – and get stressed out in the process of achieving greater things – make sure you take the time to enjoy the simple things in life (such as blue sky, hanging out with friends, candy, a pretty flower, etc.)

Rule #3: Before you go to bed tonight, ask yourself, am I happy with what I’ve accomplished today? If no, what’s one thing that I can do right now to help me take a step closer to my success?

This should help you take at least one step closer every day to your success. Sometimes I’m super tired but even if just sending out one email reaching out to somebody will help me, I’ll do it if I haven’t done anything today to contribute to my success.

Let me know what you think by posting any comments or feedback. What are your 3 steps to success?

Writing Essays – How to Think Critically http://iwanthighmarks.com/writing-essays-how-to-think-critically/ http://iwanthighmarks.com/writing-essays-how-to-think-critically/#comments Thu, 26 Apr 2012 03:17:20 +0000 http://iwanthighmarks.com/?p=429

A university student recently wrote in and asked:

“The problem is my writing skill is not good enough as a college student. When I am about to write I just can’t think on that topic, I can not put my thoughts in writing and also not good in organizing my information. Can you also please tell me how to think critically to write essay?”

What’s the 1 Main Point You’re Trying to Communicate?

For the essay that you have to write, I would suggest you start each essay by figuring out the 1 main point you are trying to get across.

What’s the 3 Strongest Supporting Argument for Your Main Point?

Once you’ve figured out the 1 main point, find 3 biggest points to support your main point so that the person can be persuaded to believe your main point. Then from there, you would find evidence or research material that would back up your 3 biggest points.

Get Examples for Each of Your Supporting Point

It’s important to have true examples to support your biggest points to increase persuasion. Once you have the outline of 1 main point, the 3 biggest persuasion points, and an example for each persuasion point after you do a bit of research, then find a friend who is doing well in that class.

Finally, get your friend to take a look and see if it makes sense in terms of critical thinking. This way, you can get some valuable feedback from your friend.

Or if you continue to have troubles, your college will typically have a writing center that can provide you with resources to improve your writing. So you can consider taking it to them for help.

What if English isn’t my first language?

If you’re like this student and English is not your first language, one quick suggestion is to first write on the topic in your native language as we can typically organize our thoughts better and get ideas on that topic.

Then, once you’ve done that, it should be easier for you to translate it into English.

You can click here for more help on writing better essays.

Please comment or ask questions on whether this technique’s helped you with your studying. Also feel free to share additional essay writing tips!

Friends Keeping You Away from Higher Grades? http://iwanthighmarks.com/friends-keeping-you-away-from-higher-grades/ http://iwanthighmarks.com/friends-keeping-you-away-from-higher-grades/#comments Thu, 19 Apr 2012 00:21:18 +0000 http://iwanthighmarks.com/?p=422

A university student recently wrote in and said:

A friend that I am very close we grew up together and I usually have the desire to always chill with him. This friend of mine is not a strong student in school and he is loves to waste time. (i.e meaning he has bad habits). This then rubs on me and I then start to slack off making it hard for me to stay focused on my school work.

How can I avoid this friend?”

The best way is to stary by thinking of the biggest consequences that would happen if you didn’t study.

And I mean BIG Consequences. Fear is a surprisingly useful motivator.

So think of things like… if you fail this exam, you may also fail class, meaning you have to re-take this class and pay $500+ to re-take that course again. Not only that, you will have to waste another few months to re-take the class. Or if you don’t fail but still do badly, this may end up in you not being able to find a job due to the bad grades so employers won’t even interview you. Think about these and use these to scare yourself into stopping procrastination.

Another suggestion is to get a friend who does study and set up a study time with the friend so that at least when you are tempted to just hang out with your friend who has bad study habits, but you have to meet your friend who does study, it’s a commitment that you make to yourself and will stop you from wasting more time.

Or if this really doesn’t work, you can always do it like they do in the movies, which is get somebody to give you a call to do something. This time, instead of avoiding a date that you’re trying to get out of… you’ll have an excuse to focus on your education. Get somebody to call you at a time that you want to study at – or even better, get your parents to give you a call. Then, tell your friend who doesn’t want to study that you have to go see another friend/parents are yelling, etc.

Please forward this to your friends if you find it helpful and post any comments/questions below regarding these techniques.
