Supreme Protein Carb Conscious Peanut Butter & Jelly Bar Review

Recently Supreme Protein sent me a few of their bars to review at my request. As I’m sure you’ve read I love anything with peanut butter in it (for the most part). If you grew up at all like I did, at some point in your life you fell in love with the classic PB&J sandwich. As you become more and more aware of how healthy things are, you realize the calories are probably better spent elsewhere. Is it possible to have a healthy variation of a PB&J?

According to Supreme Protein, it is. But does it taste like a PB&J? Well…according to me, it tastes even BETTER than a PB&J. First of all, it smells just like a classic PB&J sandwich which triggers your mouth to instantly eat it…which then leads to a mouthgasm of some sort. It is DELICIOUS. Probably the best protein bar combo I’ve ever had. The thin layer of jelly on top meshes perfectly with the peanut butter as you bite into it

As far as the macros on this bar go, they are great as well. Some would be quick to give sugar alcohol a bad look but in reality there is nothing wrong with sugar alcohol. As I’ve said before, like anything else, as long as you eat it in moderation (not large quantities) you are fine. Another plus for Supreme is that they make these bars with whey protein! Usually I would eat this before or after the gym.

Taste: 10+/10 (AMAZING! A PB&J sandwich combined into a protein bar…but better!)
Cost: 9/10 ($1-2+ – depends on the size)
Healthiness: 8/10 (really good – especially for the sweet tooth kick you get)

Turbo Shaker Review

About a week ago I received the Turbo Shaker. Throughout the past decade or so I have gone through maybe fifty different protein shakers. We’ve all had shakers that have fallen apart, got ruined in the dish washer, started leaking, and so on. Could the Turbo Shaker be the end all to this?

It very well could be!

Over the course of the week I used it for making:

Pancake mix (great)
Mixed drinks during the Superbowl (great, especially to wash away the sorrow of my team losing!)
Morning and post-gym protein shakes (great)

The simple design that it is works extremely well at blending all of the ingredients you put inside it rather quick!

Now of course this is a competitive market as there are a few other good shakers out there nowadays so I will go ahead and state what the Turbo Shaker does better than the others that I’ve seen

It takes about two seconds to clean (nice and big and you’re able to fit your hand down to the bottom)
The seal is the best seal out of any other shaker I’ve had. There is nothing coming out of this when it’s closed
It’s cheaper than it’s competitors (while offering a variety of awesome colors)
It has a “wider” top so the room for error (spilling any ingredients while putting them in) is slim to none. I found this to be great since I’m prone to spilling some powder every now and then!

I used a protein + peanut butter combo for most of my shakes which blended amazingly well (about 5 seconds)

Another benefit of this shaker is the fact it has measuring labels on the side which I found extremely useful

Liquid Grip Review

When I received this in the mail I couldn’t wait to try it. As most of you know, most commercial gyms don’t allow chalk nowadays unless you’re one of the few fortunate people to have a “real” gym around you! Now the whole sound of it doesn’t really make sense – Liquid Grip. How is it that this could work?

I’m not going to go all scientific and explain how it actually works but I will tell you how “good” it works. First and foremost you only need about a dime size worth of it as explained in the paper you get

So I put about that much on (by the way look at the ingredients – no secret ingredients (nothing bad) that will have you growing and extra finger or a full beard on your palm)

and then I rubbed my hands together. At first I said “well this doesn’t feel like much”

and then BANG, it happened. I could grip anything. This product is unreal and will now be a product in my gym bag. It is pretty much identical to the grip you get with real chalk without the mess in your gym bag or on the equipment. I’m also a fairly avid indoor rock climber so I tested it on this as well (more functional use) and it was absolutely fantastic. On the smaller free climb walls I could put some on my hands and be fine the whole climb!

Cost: 10/10 ($23 for a bottle that will last you A LONG time. Since I only use this on major lifts it will probably last me a whole year!)

Recently Supreme Protein sent me a few of their bars to review at my request. The one I was most anxious to try was the Peanut Butter Crunch (I love anything peanut butter).

I am currently prepping for a show and had no real issue (or guilt) with eating one of these day and at the same time it really hit any cravings I was having for something sweet. The ingredient list is great for what it is.

A lot of people tend to hate on sugar alcohols but the fact is that sugar alcohols aren’t going to contribute to anything bad unless eaten excessively…like anything else. If you over-eat on carbs, sodium, protein, etc you are going to have various different things happen. Moderation is KEY. The macros on this bar are great and the taste is even better!

My favorite bars are usually anything with peanut butter – and this one is now in my favorites. It tastes pretty much like a nutty bar (if you remember those) made into a candy bar – can’t have any complaints about that. It’s not dry at all and not messy one bit where these bars usually tend to break apart, this one didn’t at all.

This company has done it right! They started with one product (protein bars) and have mastered it. One can only hope they move on to other things as well!

Supreme Protein Carb Conscious Caramel Nut Chocolate Review

Recently Supreme Protein sent me a few of their bars to review at my request. The first bar that I went through was the caramel nut chocolate…which I went through REAL quick. Now lets go over what I though of it!

What this company does well in my opinion is that they keep the ingredient list fairly clean. I am currently prepping for a show and had no real issue (or guilt) with eating one of these day and at the same time it really hit any cravings I was having for something sweet.

A lot of people tend to hate on sugar alcohols but the fact is that sugar alcohols aren’t going to contribute to anything bad unless eaten excessively…like anything else. The macros on this bar are great and the taste is even better!

The taste of this bar can be summed up in one word, DELICIOUS. It’s not chalky or bland at all. It tastes pretty much like you expect caramel nut chocolate to taste like – amazing. Has a very distinct real caramel taste. Something I could easily eat without getting sick of (and did eat without getting sick of for a whole week)

This company has done it right! They started with one product (protein bars) and have mastered it. One can only hope they move on to other things as well!
