Let me tell you, I don't care what kind of sauce it is, or who makes it, when you want something on your steak, you reach for A-1.
Nothing even comes close.
There are some cuts that I just want a little salt and pepper with, and I cringe when I look over and see someone drown a perfectly good piece of meat with ketchup

<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; Most people will agree with me, and will refuse anything else on their meat.
Here in the past few years, A-1 has been advertised as a topping on burgers, and as an ingredient in meatloaf.
I haven't been that far yet, but a few years ago, I got something started at the place I frequent for breakfast, and I always hear a little noise about it when someone new decides to join us to eat.

<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; I always get the scrambled eggs and fried potato's, but depending on the day, depends on what I get with it.
I am in a rural area, so sausage is available fresh, so is the bacon, and some mornings steak.
One morning in particular, our favorite eatery had a surplus of strip steaks, and had put them on the morning specials.
Happy Day ! Steak specials all around !
Naturally, when I applied my A-1 to my steak, I went ahead and and covered my taters, and said what the heck, covered my eggs as well.
This has stuck, and to this day, no matter what I get with my special, you can bet I am covering my eggs with A-1.
There is always the noobie that sits down and looks with the strange face and always makes the comment, but always has to try it.

Prince Georges County Maryland, if I heard it right

They are not planning to shut down existing burger and taco joints, but to stop issuing the required building permits needed to build additional stores.

Their reasoning was to help end the obesity problems, and to control trans fat, and a bunch of other worthless none sense

They also reported that other " sit down " restaurants would not be included in the ban, as the members of this highly educated panel said that these " sit downs " were much more healthy than the dollar menu's we are used to today.

The first thing this report made me want to do was grab a Big Mac.

What happened to choice ? Why is it that we cant decide for ourselves what we want to eat ?

I will support my Big Mac, and the occasional Whopper with cheese.

I will continue to praise the dollar menu.

Sometimes we just don't have the time, or the cash to sit back at the Olive Garden, or the Red Lobster.

I do enjoy those places, but sometimes you need a drive-thru

This will not only reward you with precious butter, but make the carving easy for the kids. A good value for me are the Buffet places that are sprinkled around the shopping centers about an hour from where we live. There are the steak buffets, chicken, Chinese food, anything you have a taste for, but with 2 adults and 4 boys, it rings up to an easy $75.00 when we go. OUCH !
Many of these restaurants used to have a kids price at around $2.99 or $4.99 if they were like 10 or younger, but not anymore
I saw an ad on TV the other night for a place we have not been to in a while, the good ole Old Country Buffet and it said it was bringing the kids prices back, so that was our destination this past Sunday

My younger boys ate free, which was great and for the rest of us, all total was only $34.00.
I got my fill of fried chicken, and slipped in some salad, and we all left feeling good
When a business makes a decision to lend a hand to families like this, I will be sure to take advantage of it, and just may be back next Sunday as well

Cereal was one of the things on my list, and since I was coming off my honey nut Cheerios kick, I started to browse the 40+ feet, 3 shelf high display of cold breakfast cereals.
I was set on something new and something healthy, and I came across this stuff
I saw toasted whole wheat flakes & flaxseed in large type. I saw it had 10 grams of fiber and omega 3 fatty acids. I thought " yeah, this stuff is like doctor food "
It was not untill this morning when I opened the box and poured the first bowl that I realized this was no raisin bran. I looked at the front of the box to try and match the picture with what I had poured into my bowl and it was then I noticed the additional writing on the box that claimed this stuf was a natural laxitive
I scratched my head and thought what the heck. I added the milk and took a bite and soon realized that I would need a couple packetts of splenda. It turned out to be pretty good, and the flaxseed gives it a pretty good crunch
This being my first journey into the mega fiber cereal world, it was a pleasent one. The thought still lingers in the back of my mind about the laxitive capability of the cereal, but I guess after 40+ years, I should start get used to it now

This burger actually had some heat to it, and the fried onions were great
I do not write this as an ad for the restaurant, but as a plea to keep those fried onions. They may be a match for the onion rings they serve now. Maybe they could offer them as a side ?
Oh well, just wishful thinking
