<body_text>Rising fashion star Jonathan Anderson struck a double blow at London's Fashion Awards on Monday, claiming the prizes for best Accessories Designer and best British Designer for Womenswear.
Considered one of the most influential designers of his generation, 33-year-old Anderson was recognised for his work with luxury leather goods manufacturer Loewe, where he is the creative director, and for the women's collection at his own label, JW Anderson.
The prestigious awards, presented at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, were marked by a moving tribute to the great French-Tunisian designer Azzedine Alaia, who died last month at the age of 77.
Supermodels including Naomi Campbell, Stephanie Seymour and Eva Herzigova took to the stage to honour the master known for his timeless designs.
Campbell, who was on the verge of tears, said Alaia was a "fashion giant", calling him her "daddy, protector... and teacher".
British model Adwoa Aboah, known for her activism, won "Model of the Year" ahead of sisters Bella Hadid and Gigi Hadid, and Kaia Gerber, 16-year-old daughter of former top model Cindy Crawford.
Belgian Raf Simons triumphed in the Designer of the Year category for his work with Calvin Klein, while Gucci's CEO Marco Bizzarri was named best Business Leader, picking up his award from singer Annie Lennox.
Finally, sandwiched between jokes at the expense of US President Donald Trump, the awards recognised young British talent with Michael Halpern winning British Emerging Talent for Womenswear and Charles Jeffrey picking up the Menswear award.</body_text>

Donatella Versace has been revealed as the winner of the ‘Fashion Icon Award' at this year's Fashion Awards.

<body_text>Donatella Versace has been revealed as the winner of the ‘Fashion Icon Award' at this year's Fashion Awards.
The Italian designer, who took over the role of Artistic Director of the legendary Versace house 20 years ago following her brother Gianni's death, will accept the award at a ceremony to be held on December 4 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Versace said she was "truly honored" to receive the award, stating: "For 40 years my brother and I have done what we love and that is a legacy I am honoured to continue and uphold. We have celebrated empowerment, joy and of course glamour." She added: "I am truly humbled by how Versace has been embraced across the decades, across the world and across the generations. Thank you to the industry for your support of us, thank you to my team for their loyalty and incredibly hard work, thank you to my family and friends who have supported me more than they can know and thank you to the genius that was my brother Gianni. His incredible spirit is in everything we do and everything we stand for."
In addition to continuing her brother's legacy and continuing to develop the iconic brand he founded into one of the most recognizable in the world, Versace is being celebrated for her work in "supporting, mentoring and championing many young British designers and young designers around the world." Examples include the Central Saint Martins 20:20 Fashion Fund, which was founded by the house of Versace in 2010, as well as the Gianni Versace Scholarship, and collaborations with emerging UK creatives such as Christopher Kane and Jonathan Anderson. A statement from the British Fashion Council read: "Donatella exemplifies support of young people, which has contributed to her status as an icon to the global fashion industry."
Versace isn't the only groundbreaking female designer being celebrated at the awards -- it was also recently announced that Dior's Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri will receive the ‘Swarovski Award for Positive Change,' in recognition of her contribution to women's empowerment in the fashion industry. Held annually in partnership with headline sponsor Swarovski, The Fashion Awards recognise creativity and innovation in fashion, celebrating the designers and industry figures that have broken new ground over the past 12 months while raising funds for the British Fashion Council's Education Foundation.</body_text>

Kim Kardashian West is gearing up for the holiday season by expanding her KKW Beauty line.

<body_text>Kim Kardashian West is gearing up for the holiday season by expanding her KKW Beauty line.
The reality TV star and makeup entrepreneur took to Instagram to announce the December 1 launch of a series of "Ultralight Beams" highlighters and glosses, set to go on sale online at kkwbeauty.com.
No further details of the products have been revealed, but the image Kardashian used to announce the news to her 104 million followers shows her torso covered in shimmering metallic glitter, with sparkly eyeshadow to match, suggesting that the new products will focus on shimmer and luminosity. This is in line with the hints that the brand's official KKW Beauty Instagram account has been dropping for days, in the form of mysterious images of glittery lips, shiny copper foil, and dazzling chainmail dresses. The most recent shot, titled "Oil slick rainbow," shows a multicolored glistening image, suggesting that the new product drop could potentially feature a holographic element.
The news comes at the end of a busy month for the star, who also launched her debut fragrance trio a matter of weeks ago. The launch, which came from her newly created KKW Fragrance brand, comprised three different gardenia-scented perfumes that sold out completely within days. Kardashian first announced her plans to move in on the cosmetics industry this summer, launching her KKW Beauty brand with a series of Contour and Highlight Kits in four different shades and two different formulas. The kits, which flew off the virtual shelves, were followed by a limited-edition range of Liquid Lipsticks -- the result of a collaboration with her little sister and fellow beauty entrepreneur Kylie Jenner. It looks as though she has also been working on growing the KKW Beauty brand's social media influence, with the official Instagram account now boasting 1 million followers.</body_text>

Beauties from across the globe converged in Las Vegas Sunday, where Miss South Africa was crowned Miss Universe.

<body_text>Beauties from across the globe converged in Las Vegas Sunday, where Miss South Africa was crowned Miss Universe.
Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, 22, edged out her rivals from Colombia and Jamaica to take the crown.
Nel-Peters, a graduate in business management, said her disabled half-sister has been among her great inspirations.
In the pageant's 66th year, nearly 100 women from around the world -- including first-timers from Cambodia, Laos and Nepal -- took part.
The runner-up was actress Laura Gonzalez of Colombia, who was followed by second runner-up Davina Bennett of Jamaica.
The current Miss Universe, Iris Mittenaere from France, crowned her successor to a din of squeals and cheers.
American comic turned TV host Steve Harvey hosted the event for the third time, making several jokes at his own expense.
In 2015 he famously made a mistake heard round the world when he announced the wrong person as Miss Universe, resulting in an extremely uncomfortable, tense correction and a deluge of internet memes.
Grammy-winning singer Fergie and pop star Rachel Platten provided the musical entertainment for Sunday's show.
In the "Final Word" portion of the competition, Nel-Peters said "Miss Universe is a woman who has overcome many fears, and by that she is able to help many women overcome their fears."
"She is a woman that nothing is ever too much to ask for," she said. "And I think that is exactly who I am."</body_text>

Star Wars fans can get their sci-fi fix thanks to a new beauty collection from Cargo Cosmetics.

<body_text>There are still a few weeks to go before the release of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," but fans of the franchise can get their sci-fi fix in the meantime thanks to a new beauty collection from Cargo Cosmetics.
After months of teasing, the makeup brand has finally unveiled its limited-edition ‘CargoXStarWars' collection, an eight-piece line of beauty products and tools inspired by the film series. It consists of two eyeshadow palettes designed to showcase ‘The Light Side' and ‘The Dark Side', a ‘Resistance Mascara' to lengthen lashes, and a ‘First Order Mascara' to volumize lashes. Four collectible compact mirrors, featuring the faces of the characters Rey, Leia Organa, BB and Captain Phasma, complete the collection.
The special edition products are available online at cargocosmetics.com and at Kohl's, priced from $20 to $28. Cargo Cosmetics has confirmed that it will not be restocked once sold out.
Cargo isn't the first cosmetics brand to have drawn inspiration from Star Wars -- back in 2015, CoverGirl also released a collection of intergalactic-themed lipsticks, nail polishes and mascaras. And it isn't just Star Wars getting a beauty makeover -- other movie and makeup collaborations to have launched this year include Besame Cosmetics' ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' collection, and a Red Carpet Manicure nail polish collection dedicated to ‘Beauty and the Beast.'</body_text>

<body_text>Kim Kardashian West's debut fragrance line went on sale barely a week ago, but the star's trio of fragrances has already sold out.
According to the official KKW Fragrance Instagram account, online stocks of the fragrances sold out within a matter of days, following the launch on November 15. However, on Wednesday the brand uploaded a new photo of all three scents, alongside the caption: "Back by popular demand, all three fragrances will be back in stock this Thursday at 6pm PST only at KKWFRAGRANCE.COM."
The fragrance trio, the first under reality TV star and entrepreneur Kardashian's new ‘KKW Fragrance' label, comprises three scents based on the gardenia flower. The lineup includes ‘Crystal Gardenia,' which features notes of water lily, gardenia, tiara flower and velvet tuberose, ‘Crystal Gardenia Oud' which opens with top notes of bergamot, lavender, red rose and jasmine and has base notes of oud, and ‘Crystal Gardenia Citrus', which boasts top notes of sparkling citrus, woods and musks.
According to Elle.com, the first batch of perfumes consisted of 300,000 bottles of scent. Kim eschewed advertising, opting to promote the launch solely through social media, where she has more than 57 million followers on Twitter and 104 million on Instagram. However, the success of the launch should come as no surprise, given that the debut products from her KKW Beauty line sold out in two hours when they first launched back in June.</body_text>

Jennifer Lopez is marking the end of another whirlwind year with a brand-new fashion contract for Guess Jeans.

<body_text>Does Jennifer Lopez ever slow down? Apparently not, as the showbiz star is marking the end of another whirlwind year with a brand-new fashion contract for Guess Jeans.
The actress, singer and designer has been selected to star in the denim brand's Spring 2018 advertising campaign.
"When I got the call from Paul Marciano asking me to become the new Guess Girl, I was thrilled and excited to be a part of such an iconic brand that I have loved since I was a teenager," said the superstar in a statement. "When I look back at early Guess campaigns through the years, you see all of these beautiful models and iconic images that Paul has created. It is a tremendous compliment to have been selected for Guess' Spring 2018 campaign."
"Jennifer Lopez is a Guess Girl's dream!" added Guess? Inc co-founder Paul Marciano. "Jennifer's impact and influence continues to grow and this campaign celebrates the notion that women get more beautiful and talented as they gain life experience."
Images from the campaign, which was shot by fashion photographer Tatiana Gerusova, have yet to be released, but the brand has said it draws inspiration from Lopez's life, which is split between performances in Vegas and an acting career in Hollywood.
This is not J-Lo's first big fashion assignment of the year -- in October, she teamed up with Missoni and Saks Fifth Avenue to front the retailer's ‘Key to the Cure' campaign to raise money for Women's Cancer Research Fund (WCRF). She also collaborated with luxury footwear designer Giuseppe Zanotti on her ‘GiuseppexJennifer' shoe collection, which hit the shelves back in January.</body_text>

Kim Kardashian is preparing to make her first steps into the fragrance world, launching not one, but three, debut perfumes this week.

<body_text>Kim Kardashian West is preparing to make her first steps into the fragrance world, launching not one, but three, debut perfumes this week.
The reality TV star and beauty entrepreneur's scent trio will go on sale on November 15, marking the first release under her brand new ‘KKW Fragrance' label.
Each of the three scents offers a different perspective on the gardenia flower. The brand's signature scent, ‘Crystal Gardenia', features notes of water lily, gardenia, tiara flower and velvet tuberose, rounded out by warm woods and skin musk for a deeper finish. ‘Crystal Gardenia Oud' opens with top notes of bergamot, lavender, red rose and jasmine, featuring base notes of oud, patchouli and royal amber, while ‘Crystal Gardenia Citrus' boasts top notes of sparkling citrus, woods and musks.
Kim has been hard at work promoting the fragrances on Instagram, so we know that we can expect sleek, minimalistic packaging in the form of angular, translucent spray bottles. She has also unveiled the project's campaign imagery, which sees her posing seductively for black and white shots taken by fashion duo Mert & Marcus.
The star first entered the fragrance game back in 2008, but the ‘KKW Fragrance' project marks her first solo debut into the scent industry. And it seems like Kim is on an entrepreneurial roll, given that she also launched her own cosmetics brand ‘KKW Beauty' earlier this summer -- a move that has seen her ‘Contour and Highlight Kits' flying off the virtual shelves.</body_text>

The holidays are almost here again, and there's no better way to get into the mood than with a festive red lip.

<body_text>The holidays are almost here again, and there's no better way to get into the mood than with a festive red lip. Luckily, the classic red lip has never been more on-trend -- as some of the latest new cosmetic launches prove. Here are the reds you'll be wanting to try out this winter.
Fenty BeautyRihanna's Fenty Beauty makeup line stormed the cosmetics world back in September, and each subsequent new launch seems to gain her even more makeup fans. The infatuation seems set to reach new heights on November 23, when the superstar drops her new ‘Stunna' lip paint on www.sephora.com, which comes in a fire engine-red hue and offers complete coverage with a single application, as demonstrated by her recent Instagram beauty tutorial.
BenefitBenefit Cosmetics has been working on a new lip product just in time for the holidays. Called ‘They're Real! Red On!', it comprises a buildable, long-wearing color that is designed to be applied with a custom tapered brush and provides a soft, matte red finish.www.benefitcosmetics.comGigi x MaybellineRihanna isn't the only star who has been working on her own lip color this fall -- supermodel Gigi Hadid's debut makeup collection for Maybelline also contains a vivid red lipstick. Offering a creamy, matte finish, the lipstick comes in a variety of shades, but none will say ‘happy holidays' as much as the vibrant, coral-red ‘Lani.'www.maybelline.com
Estee LauderEstee Lauder's new ‘Pure Color Envy Sheer Matte Sculpting Lipstick' promises to moisturize the lips at the same time as providing a sheer matte color, for an elegant approach to makeup this season. ‘Name Dropper' is a fiery, cherry red that should tick all the boxes this holiday period.www.esteelauder.comMarc JacobsMarc Jacobs is preparing for a big beauty launch this season, in the form of the new ‘Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayon'. A liquid lipstick in a crayon form, the product promises to deliver a bold, long-lasting color with just one swipe, offering a lightly shimmering 'ghost pearl' finish. It launches on www.sephora.com on December 12, but the campaign images have already been released, and they show model of the moment Adwoa Aboah sporting a siren-red shade called ‘How Rouge'.</body_text>

<body_text>London rolled out the red carpet for some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry last night, as the stars put their best foot forward for the MTV Europe Music Awards. But who pulled off the strongest beauty look of the evening?
Rita Ora Popstar Rita Ora, who was hosting the ceremony, made a quirky red carpet appearance ahead of the event, clad in a bathrobe and sporting a towel wrapped around her hair. The incident might have been in jest, but the star's makeup look was deadly serious -- she sported a hot pink metallic lip with a bronze eyeshadow hue and plenty of bling.
KeshaKesha nodded to the current beauty craze for unicorn-colored everything, taking to the stage during the ceremony rocking matching candy pink hair and makeup. The singer added a pink lip gloss to seal the deal.
Hailey BaldwinAmerican model Hailey Baldwin paid homage to the evening's musical focus with rock-star black eyeliner teamed with a hint of a smoky eye. A tousled top knot and bold hoop earrings added extra nonchalance to the look.
Stefflon DonBritish rapper Stefflon Don kept things simple but effective with ice blonde locks, spiky lashes, and a shimmering, glossy lip. A light dusting of pink eyeshadow added depth to the look.
Camila CabelloUS-Cuban singer-songwriter Camila Cabello's makeup was a masterclass in the perfect smoky eye. The star teamed autumnal taupe shades with a preppy pink lip and a cute half-up, half-down hairstyle for a look that was polished but fun.</body_text>
