Its in a row. Now songs of Prosenjit's upcoming movie Bikram Singha has leaked online by Pinaki Sadhu of PinakiMp3.Blogspot.Com. 4 songs from the movie has been posted by him yesterday 2.58p.m. While Asif of Afoyou.Blogspot.com also claimed that he has all the 4songs but he did not post them. Now this time something fishy happened. Two sites had all 4 of the leaked songs but none of them exchanged. So how come to webmasters got the songs?

Now PinakiMp3 did something that we did not understood why. He posted the songs then removed the public links for sometime but again around 4p.m. he made the links public again. Why is this? We know that upon DMCA claims or abuse form the original rightholder a webmaster have to remove the links of the songs. But in this case PinakiMp3 placed he links again. So what actually happened? From where did he get the songs and why did he played this link game? You know that last time there was a misconception of Paglu 2 songs but this time when we contacted Pinaki he guaranteed us that this are the original songs form the movie. When we asked him about the 5th song Champa Na Chameli he told us that he didn't got the song.
Got the songs?
This is the most shocking words from him. What did he mean by got the songs? Who gave him the songs. This is the most doubtful part which he refused to answer. Where every production house in Mumbai including Saregama are shouting to ban free mp3 download websites & passed a court injunction from Kolkata High Court, this leaks are happening very often in tollywood industry. And this type of fishy leaks are not a good sign for the industry. If this type of leaks continues happening then those days are not far when you'll see a movie is due to releasea any week and the original version will be available before the release day. :-/

Use on-screen keyboard to be more secure while entering username & password

We can't deny that internet made our life so easy by providing world in our doorstep. And now we are using internet more & more for our confidential works such as transferring money form our bank, shopping online, mailing top secret official data & more. But when we ask anyone that what type of security measures you have installed in your PC or what security measures you have taken while browsing from a cyber cafe? Your answer will be limited to these 3 answers below;

I have installed a good antivirus in my PC & I update it regularly.
I regularly clear my browsing data & temporary files to get rid of tracking cookies.
Before using any cyber cafe PC I checked top to bottom of it to ensure that nothing fishy is there.

Now a days everyone using Alliance Broadband or Pacenet Meghbela broadband are experiencing download speeds they never imagined. Users of this two ISP's are downloading a 1GB movie in 5 to 10 minutes. They almost forgot the days when it took almost 4-5 days to download a 700MB movie. Alliance Broadband & Meghbela Boradband the two pioneer broadband services in Kolkata are offering their users the high speed download, of which all of their users got addicted to. This is the bless of the btcache project which they implemented. The project was invented by Bulgaria, a country which was referred as a country with least download speed. They invented this btcache project and now they are the 3rd place holder in the ranking of top download speed offered by any country.
What is this btcache project?
As we said that btcache (BitTorrent Caching suite) project was invented by Bulgaria to fight their low download speeds. As the inventors said in Google project hosting

The idea is to install one part of this software somewhere on the network where it is able to passively collect chunks of BitTorrent data passing by using for example port mirroring, passive optical tap, or transparent bridge.
It does not participate in the conversation and only needs to see one side of the TCP stream. It follows the BitTorrent protocols but obviously cannot read into encrypted packets. It can snoop into PPP/L2TP encapsulated payloads.
It will fill up a big storage array with all the pieces it sees, and will also note the ip/port/infohash of all new handshakes it sees.
A second component can then connect back to whichever of the machines it chooses (i.e. your own customers) and offer whichever pieces you have unsolicited.
The first component is written and able to process up to ~800Mbps @ ~200,000pps using ~15% of a Xeon 2.4Ghz CPU.
The rest is to be completed.
It's all very alpha-quality at the moment..

The main matter of this project is that it runs on a peering model. It means uncapped download speed from any local peer. Every ISP has their data plans with speed limits, but on btcache project this speed limit can be bypassed. Wishnet was first to introduce this plan in Kolkata after that Alliance Broadband & then Meghbela Broadband followed them. Though Wishnet has depreciated this project but the latter two are continuing this. So what happens actually on this btcache. We tried to contact Alliance Broadband but got no response form them. Here we try to demonstrate about the project as we think it could be,
Suppose you are downloading a movie from by UTorrent. And you are the first downloader of the movie in your ISP's local network (means your ISP uses the IP addresses in your area from 198.120.xxx.x to 198.120.xxx.x). Then while downloading you will see in the Torrent client that in the peer list a peer with the ID btcache/xx-xx-xx-xx (it refers to some digits, may be the version of the source code). And you will see that while you;re downloading the file in your normal downloading speed you are simultaneously uplading the file to the btcache peer. This peer is nothing but a Central server located on your ISP's main server office. It is server with very high capacity (may be 5PB storage) and having a high capacity LAN port capacity. So the main thing is being done here is that the file you downloading via your torrent client for first time is automatically being stored in that high capacity server placed by your ISP. And this btcache peer will be added automatically whether it is a private torrent or public.

Now the file is stored on the server. The very next day another user of your ISP is going to download the file. Else take it as many other users in your ISP are just started downloading the same file you downloaded & uploaded in the ISP's server. Now here is the place where the reason of huge speed lies.Whenever the other user tries to download the file he depends less on the peers other than his ISP's and depends most on the Central btcache peer. Now as peer the internet cable capacity & the central server's port capacity everyone downloads the file at a huge speed (may go high as 1+Mbps). This just the same thing you used to do when you shared any file with your friend in your LAN with the help of HFS or any other file sharing application. Here you are just directly downloading the file from the central server.

Main central server is distributing the file among its users.

Until it was the Central server who was distributing the file among its users. Now if most of your LAN peers also seeds the torrent for a long time while everyone has downloaded the file fully the the next user who comes to download the file will mush more speed than the users got from the Central server. It may go upto 10+Mbps. Means here the user is simultaneously downloading from its Central server & his LAN peers.

Local peers along with the central server is giving the file to a single peer. May be you :)

So this was the main story behind it. The first downloader will only get low speed but after him everyone will get an uncapped speed. And moreover if all downloaders in your LAn continues seeding the torrents then you'll be in a fly :D. Now a days Alliance Broadband is publicizing it by naming it as a package of "peering"

Lots of cyber locker services closed their programs & each day lots of new are coming into the market. Megaupload shut down; Filesonic, Fileserve, WUpload, FileJungle, Oron & many more gone. People trusted on them to store their personal & important data but at the end of the day, all are gone. So what to do now? You still need to backup your files so that if your system crashes or you need those files on a go. Is there no option left? Whom to trust? All of these are questions roaming around the internet these days. No one could ever imagine that MegaUpload will shut down & all of their files will vanish. This are our own likes, but always do check about the current status & check the recent news about the file hosting services before taking the decision. And one caution, do not ever trust on any filehosting site that pays users for their files to be downloaded by others. Cause on this type of file hosting sites most of the webmasters gather to earn money. Everyone knows about MegaUpload & what happened to it recently. WB CID sent letter to Facebook over the picture case

Well, we didn’t think that the case would be dragged this much long. West Bengal Govt. did not stop only by arresting Ambikesh Mahapatra for the alleged picture, now it is learned that Govt. has instructed CID to write a letter to Facebook authority asking them about the main source of the picture. And CID did so. They wrote a letter addressing Facebook authority asking them about the source of the picture & the IP addresses of people who shared the picture. And they will also ask them to remove such picture from circulating in the social network. At the CM’s of India meet W.B. Finance Minister Amit Mitra (who went as a representative of Mamata Banerjee) told that content like this should be censored. At the end of 2011 we heard that Kapil Sibal (Central IT Minster) raised his voice about the same concern. But at that time our very own CM did not respond anything. But now she is working so actively, is it biasness only because of something defaming about her posted online.

We all know that Facebook runs of US laws but being sensitive to matters which may create disturbance in communal harmony or political peace, they will surely respond something on this matter (Till now we got no response of the letter written to them). Amit Mitra added more that such type of internet freedom is a threat against country. And from this statement made by him we are sure that CM & CID jointly will drag this case more long.

Delete the image from your wall or untag yourself from the image or if you see the picture in anyone’s profile just report it (by clicking report image). And tell it to your friends too.

This is to play safe, because no one knows how much this case will be dragged & may be you are the next victim to be arrested.
We feel that by doing this much of drama is just highlighting the image & nothing else. People will never stop making such cartoons & sharing. And if our Govt. is thinking that by doing this they will be able to scare people, they are totally thinking the wrong. This will ignite the hatred for them. And you must have observed that mush more vulgar pictures than this is available on the internet. And this particular picture was not a viral one. If the issue had just been neglected the image would have been just be trashed in a short span of time. Majority of Indians are telling this step as a ridiculous one & one type of autocracy. There is nothing so serious about the image.

Now how to catch the main offender who has created the image?

This is the main concern of CM. The main subject for the letter to Facebook was driven by this. Ambikesh Mahapatra has said that he did not create the image; he just shared it with friends. Now Facebook has to catch the IP address of the creator & the prime sharer. But if it happens that the creator used a secure process to share this then how could he be caught? Secure process means to if he/she has used proxy services to open an account in Facebook or he/she has used VPN or TOR network to do all this thing then how could he be caught? Answer is almost impossible and this requires a lot of investigation & money matter. Doesn’t our CM think that rather than doing these she should indulge herself in some other useful works?

Japan took a step forward for illegal downloads

Some political parties in Japan are trying it hard to accomplish the law of punishing illegal downloaders. If this law gets passed then anyone who downloads any music of videos without the copyright owner's permission then he/she may be sued & may be jailed for not less than 2years or may be fined with 200million yen (Rs. 12crore approx). But this will only happen if the copyright holder files a suit. Upon approval of the govt. the law will be enforced w.e.f. October 1, 2012.
Till date there is no well made copyright enforcement law in Japan. The maximum punishment for the illegal downloader was decided by the provisions of the music industry. Now 3 political parties of Japan are trying to introduce this law & if it is done & the law is passed then illegal download in Japan will face a massive drop. But be sure that Japan govt. also take control of the proxies or bypasses to evade the enforcement. Cause we already witnessed in America that post Megaupload shutdown & ThePiratebay hunt down, most of the downloaders & uploaders are using VPN, Proxies and many other tools to hide themselves. But people of Kolkata not to worry, copyright owners here are too much reluctant to do these things & they are almost neglecting all these illegal downloads (:| . But it is always safe to be safe.

Jadavpur University Professor arrested for spreading offensive cartoon of Mamata Banerjee

This is the first time in Kolkata that someone arrested for sharing offensive content in the internet. Ambikesh Mahapatra a Chemistry Professor of Jadavpur University arrested today along with his neighbor Subrata Sengupta. It is being said that Mr. Mahapatra has sent the email with the alleged photo attached to around 65 people.

The picture spread by was made upon the incident of sack of Dinesh Trivedi from the railway ministry & appointment of Mukul Roy for the same post. The image is based on the story of Satyajit Ray's Sonar Kella and in the picture Mukul Roy & Mamata Banerjee are shown as a menace to sack Dinesh Trivedi from the ministry. The picture was around Facebook in recent times & Trinamool Congress supporter's facebook group charged the professor from that.
Central IT Minister Kapil Sibal was raising his concern over the censorship of internet for last 5-6 months & this is the first time since then that someone is being charged for spreading offensive content in the internet. And that too in Kolkata where most of our production houses are reluctant to catch pirates & cyber cell officials are very less active on content filtering. You might also know that in this incident Professor Ambikesh Mahapatra was directly not charged by the police or cyber law officials. It was the Trinamool Congress supporters who attacked his residence from where the police get the clue and arrested him. Now we are observing a serious debate is going on the media & social networking sites that if the arrest was a legit or just an autocracy by the Trinamool Govt. 4G service launched in Kolkata

Now the days have come when Kolkata will be able to watch hassle free 1080p HD videos online, download a blue ray movie in 5minutes & stream HD videos seamlessly. Being first in the country Airtel launched 4G services in Kolkata yesterday. It is a more better service than the current 3G. And airtel said that the speed of the 4G dongle will be in average 40Mbps for download, which can go to a maximum of 100Mbps & 20Mbps for uploads. There only a few circles in world where currently 4G services run (Us, Europe, China, Japan etc.). Till now 4G services will be available in USB Dongle & Wi-Fi network, not in voice processing (means mobile call & sms services is not included). Airtel was allocated to use 20 Mhz of BWA spectrum in 2.3 Ghz frequency band which is considered suitable for 4G services.

The rate of 4G Multi mode dongle is around Rs. 7,999 & the wi-fi with CPE is Rs. 7,750. And the tariff is as below

And one more thing, as we can see that 3G services is still not yet so much popular in India for its high price how could this 4G services will be a good investment decision. Kapil Sibal has pointed out this matter but at present there is no hope for the price to be slashed. But we must admit that this a indeed a good step forward in the cyber world of India.

It is the third time this year that a bengali movie leaked online before its official release. And again it is from Banglatorrents.com. While a user named Bumbabose released a cam rip of the movie at around 3.28a.m today Panjabiwala released the DVD rip of the movie at around 5.55a.m.

Though it is a kind of shock for the production houses for these consecutive leaks but we want to highlight one thing. Who is this Panjabiwala? How did he gets the movies in such a good quality in such a small time period :-?

Aparajita Tumi bengali movie leaked online

It's again the Panjabiwala who published "Aparajita Tumi" before its official CD/DVD release. Panjabiwala released the torrent in BanglaTorrents.com today at 8.12 a.m. The movie quality is good and is in Mp4 format with AAC audio. Last week the same person leaked Bedroom & Nobel Chor online in the same website.

We witnessed this week a week of great bengali leak week where many audio albums, single songs, movies are being leaked online. And this is a recent addition to the list. It's leak again; Saimon Hossain of Musicfunbd.Blogspot.com leaked the song Tomar Chobi from Paglu 2 upcoming bengali movie starring Dev & Koel produced by Shree Venkatesh Films & Surinder Films & directed by Sujit Mondal. The owner did not claims the song to be an exclusive one while we did not found the song anywhere else before he posted it online on 3.29a.m. Kolkata time today.

It is almost surprising that in 2012 so many songs are being leaked before its official release. It started with Le Halua Le full album leak by Aforyou.net & then this. The production house is yet to confirm the leak. We are trying to contact the website owner & the production house. May be we can get some reply from Saimon Hossain but getting a reply from the Production house is a tough one. You can find the song here link.
#Update: 7.30p.m. : Pinaki Sadhu of Pinakimp3.Blogspot.com told us & we also searched around the net to confirm that this is not a song of Paglu 2 either. Even the uploader Saimon Hossain messaged us that he was not sure. May be it is a publicity stunt by Saimon but it did not worked well. :-/

Le Halua Le full album leaked before official release

Another blow for the Kolkata music industry. This time before the official music CD release of Le Halua Le, upcoming movie from the production house Shree Venkatesh Films & Surinder Films the mp3 album of the same has been released by Aforyou.net. Asif, the owner of the Bangladesh Based website Afoyou.net uploaded the album on 6th April 2012 at near about midnight 1.30 A.M. And also he claims it to be first on net. This is the second strike form Aforyou.net after the website also released the song from the same movie Love You Love You Kore first on net. 4 songs at a bitrate of 128kbps form the album has been uploaded & promises has been given to upload bonus tracks later. We also witnessed that most of the other mp3 sharing websites copied from him and MusicJagat.com has gone a step further to convert the 128Kbps mp3 files to 320Kbps files with some converter to add it to their site. We feel this is a cheap marketing strategy. Cause only the 128kbps files are available in the net & to attract visitors MusicJagat did so.
Well we all know that our Bengali Media is to much lazy to file copyright claims & this incident is not an exception. Still there is no claim from the side of production house. But we have witnessed that Shree Venkatesh Films was the main responsible for shutting down 2008-2009 bengali free sharing site www.fundl.org. But in recent days we experienced that Sagarika music requested www.Mp3Kolkata.Com, (the largest visited bengali mp3 songs website) to remove some of their albums on which the site responded quickly & removed almost more than 15 albums form their directory. We think that the production house is totally unaware about the leak so they did not respond. Meanwhile we tried to contact Asif from Aforyou.net but nothing we can get from him till now.

Wupload disabled sharing functionality

The path Filesonic showed to save them form FBI's, recently WUpload just started walking on it. From yesterday WUplaod disabled all file sharing functionality from their site with a message on their homepage like this

WUpload, the Argentine file hosting site was able to create a hype among the file sharers from their start. Many liked them cause of their good graphics, easy to use interface, good payments. But hings didn't worked for so long when Filesonic entered the arena & coincidentally WUpload suspended their affiliate program. This was a serious backdraw for the site & they were losing visitors quickly. And in the past 3 months, starting from December the site's pageview dropped as much as 41% & till date it is getting more & more down.
Well form now on, just like the Filesonic, WUpload has become only a site (or service) to backup of you personal data which you will not be able to share with anyone except you. In their FAQ, WUpload has not clearly stated what is the maximum limit of the disk space allocated each registered or premium users (Thogh the homepage says *Unlimited File Storage). The only thing to be gained by purchasing a premium account is to be able to upload files larger than 2GB (10GB max). But their tagline "THE ULTIMATE EXPERINECE" we think it is not any more :-/
*Update (4th March 2012) : Fileserve, another big player in this market walked the same path as WUpload. They also disabled sharing functionality like WUpload's. Well it is learnt that both the cyberlockers did so after Paramount Pictures, the movie studio declared Fileserve, MediaFire, Wupload, Putlocker and Depositfiles as rogue & must be shutdown. Well Fileserve did not put the message on their homepage, instead they put the message on the file download page.

2 Bengali movies Bedroom & Nobel Chor leaked online before DVD release

It happened again. Bengali movie Bedroom & Nobel Chor has leaked online on BanglaTorrents.Com. An used who names himself as "Panjabiwala" released it online. The official cinema hall release date of the movies were 6th January 2012 & 20th February 2012 respectively & the movies leaked online so quickly. Almost within two months. Now one thing to clarify, who is this guy "Panjabiwala"? Is he a man with great silver screen sources? If not then from where did he get these movies? If yes then who is he? And also one thing to keep in mind that this "Panjabiwala" owns a personal seedbox from where he seeds his torrents at a great speed (such as 2-3MBps). And surprisingly none of his uploaded movies are deleted whereas they are violating copyright laws. We can smell something fishy here!!!

What to say more, our bengali piracy portal is still not that powerful. So, I think our anti-piracy group of bengali industry or the copyright holders are reluctant to take any necessary steps. What to do if the owners are unwilling to anything. But remember if you download any pirated content, you may be penalised whereas the uploader (pirate) will vanish away.

Last time it was the song Ek Mutho Swapno from 100% Love Zubeen Garg's version which was leaked online though it was not included in the audio CD or the videos published by the production house Shree Venkatesh Films. Now yesterday on around 3.18p.m. a website pinakimp3.blogspot.com has posted the song on the website as an exclusive on. This was the first on net. Sangeet Bangla the official broadcasting channel of Le Halua Le started showing the song Monta Amar Love Love U Kore Re yesterday morning. we think the website recorded the video anyhow (using a TV Tuner Card or something else). The site published the download link for the song & it is still available.
Traditionally it was seen that the production house (Shree Venkatesh Films) air's their movie song video on Sangeet Bangla or publishes on their Youtube page. After that the webmasters copy that video from any one source and posts it online. Previously MusicJagat.Com was one of the pioneer website to publish music videos online by recording them using a TV Tuner Card. But now a days many other players came into this field. But this particular case is a unique one cause it is first time ever that the mp3 posted before it's video. So the obvious questions come here are

From where did the website pinakimp3.blogspot.com get the mp3 file
If he had recorded the video form TV then why he didn't posted the video along with the mp3 cause video attracts more people in the short run.

Most salient feature I like that is uploaders' can pause their upload whenever they want to & start from the point at where he paused it. even it auto pauses when your PC goes to sleep and start again(manually) when you power it up. Previously in browser upload or any other 3rd party uploading tool was not giving this feature. It is a great plus point for Mediafire Express.

There are several more options like SSL uploads, Change in number of concurrent uploads, File upload preferences & more. These are the pro's of the Mediafire Express tool. now lets talk about the cons of the tool.

The tool does not offer to choose folder where you want to upload files. Each time to go to upload you have to change the default folder which is annoying I think. :-/

The tool doesn't show the uploading speed as the browser uploader used to show.

Paypal removed withdraw by check option for Indian customers

Just saw today that Paypal has removed withdraw by check option for Indian users. I am not aware of what changes made in other countries. And also there is no official announcement from them although some people are saying in digitalpoint that the option is gone from February beginning. I personally checked & confirmed it today.

This change will not (hopefully) make a a problem for the Indian customers and rather, it is easy to use the direct bank transfer for withdrawing funds form Paypal. And if many users were using the withdrawal by check option, Paypal would not have been discarding this feature. As of now the only option to withdraw funds from Paypal is direct bank transfer which is totally free of charge. You just have to add your bank account and successfully verify it with Paypal.

Well, this is not such a huge or impressive change from Paypal. We hope the other issues e.g. payment via Indian Visa/Master Debit Card, Auto withdrawal feature, Mass Payment feature gets some amendments, and Paypal keeps a peaceful relation with RBI.

Socialize link missing from Feedburner

It happened again. The Socialize button under the Publicize menu of Feedburner is missing. Feedburner had issues with this problem and last time a few months ago this problem was fixed. But now again the problem is happening with Feedburner. The socialize button is used to link your twitter account to update your blog posts in your tweets. But with no official announcement from the Feedburner's side the link is vanished!

You can see that the Socialize link which used to appear between FeedCount & Chicklet Chooser is missing. Now nothing we can do as only Google can fix it. But don't you think that Google should make an official announcement for this problem? If you want to then try contacting Google for this. But everyone knows that chances of getting a reply from them is almost second to none.
Users who still want to post their blog feeds to their social networks like Facebook & Twitter may use the twitterfeed's service. This service lets your blog posts automatically publish as your tweet in twitter & status update in Facebook. I didn't use it cause I'm waiting for feedburner to fix this problem. Not forever but for sometime sure ;)
*Update 13th April 2012: Our one viewer shamp00 has left us a great tip to overcome this problem. Fron feedurner dashboard go to Publicize link the link will look like this

Consequence of Sharing a link

You found any article or blog postsor link interesting? Want to share it with friends? You must share it with friends cause everyone knows sharing is caring & everyone wants to care his/her friends. Sharing is the best way to increase & diversify knowledge. But WAIT!! Are you aware of what you're sharing? Your answer will be, "I am sharing the mp3 song download link. The song is very charming & I must inform my friends to download & listen it". Good answer, you must let your friends know that, but do you know that this sharing can lead you to imprisonment!!!
    Shocked? You must be, cause you never thought this & always shared every free download link you came across caring your friends. For your kind information it is illegal to share & linking to illegal or pirated download link & you can be thrashed to jail along with a fine you never imagined to earn in one year.
    "Are you nuts? What are you talking about? Why should I be penalized to share the link? I didn't uploaded it nor I pirated the link. Why don't you catch the original pirate who is spreading the link via his/her website? He/she is the offender not me. Why should I become victim of the piracy although I didn't do it?" And lots more @#%^@~*$%@#%! words... Never mind it is normal. Remeber one thing, the pirate who is spreading the link is only spreading the link in his/her website, but you, by sharing the link in your social network is spreading the pirated link 100 or 1000 or 100000 or more times than that. So now tell me who is helping the link to circulate more? You or the pirate? Who is helping piracy more, you or the pirate? It's YOU & ONLY YOU who can be held responsible for widespread piracy.
     You must know that even a 15years old boy from Sweden was sent to trial for downloading 24 movies, even a 58years old Granny was convicted for illegal downloading. Now what do you say? Still there is no example of penalization for sharing illegal links but who knows you may be the next victim who will be used as the example.
      My main topic is that before sharing any link please please please notice what you are going to share. Always remember the quote "Look before you leap". In India we all know that DoT and several agencies are monitoring social network profiles. And who knows if your profile is also being monitored & someone there is planning to make you the offender. be careful. You may see on the sites that the owners are saying "Share to win prizes or premium membership, share to care, share this awesome link with your friends" just ignore them. Cause they'll not gonna be your saviour when you face a conviction. Cause for making an example anyone can be held, even YOU ALSO!!

Mediafire Pro Account Review

Mediafire (#) is currently the leading free cloud storage website with a lots of power packed feature & easy to use user interface. Launching in October 2006 the Mediafire team has proved them the best & been awarded many times. I personally started using Mediafire from end 2008 just to use it as a backup some of my files & attaching large size files in mails. After using a some time I liked there service & used them to store most of my files & shared with my friends. The free account of Mediafire gives so many features than any other cloud storage service. After using it for a long time as a free user I decided & upgraded to their Pro account paying $9 as one month's charge. You can find the features & comparison of their different account types from here.

The most important extra features I got are,

My file size limit increased to 4GB(200MB for free users)
My uploaded files will be kept forever[as long as they exists ;-)] in their servers as long as I continue to be their PRO customer.
100GB of Direct linking of the Mediafire links. Means while free users have to visit each time they want to download files form Mediafire I don't have to. Up to 100 GB I will be able to download files from Mediafire links bypassing their download page.
25 Custom URL's (subject to availability) instead of only 1 for free users. E.G. http://www.mediafire.com/xxyour-custom-linkxx
I can replace the Mediafire logo from my files page and use any one I like to use.

And also there will be Detailed download statistics, embeddable file dropbox, priority email support and many more. But one must know some of the hidden conditions (which they did not clearly stated in their offer page), below are the details.

All your files will be direct linked automatically: Suppose you are an uploader and offer your files for free download over many websites or in your personal websites (Most of the Mediafire users do this :-P). All the links you share will be automatically Direct Linked. Means any one with your file link will be able to download files directly bypassing Mediafire's download page. And this bandwidth will be deducted from your 100GB allotted bandwidth. There is no way to disable this feature however you can disable direct linking feature from your own use. Means you can opt to use the traditional downloading procedure of Mediafire whereas you can't stop your users from direct linking. More you share your links & more your files be downloaded by other anonymous users, more your bandwidth decreases. Whereas the other file hosting sites you can control which file to be hotlinked and which file to not.
Mediafire says as a Pro user I will not see any advertisements while visiting Mediafire pages for download. But every time I visited any Mediafire download page I saw advertisements. This is weird!
I have a big confusion, does Mediafire count each download or each download page visit. Cause for test purpose I once just visited the download page & looked back at my stats, what I found that the count is showing one download. How is this possible? I did not downloaded the file so why did it showed as 1download?
While purchasing a Mediafire Pro account every on will get a one month extra period to extend his subscription. Means if you purchase an one month Mediafire Pro account on 1st January your Pro account will be valid till 28th February. They will give one month extra to renew your subscription.
If your 100GB direct link bandwidth finishes and you want more then you can purchase additional roll over bandwidth. There are 3 plans for this, 100GB bandwidth for $9, 250GB bandwidth for $19, 1000GB bandwidth for $69. If anytime your bandwidth remains for any month the extra bandwidth will be added next month automatically.

If anyone uses Mediafire daily basis then he/she might not use Mediafire Pro account cause no extra special benefits are there. But if you are a power user and use Mediafire for making your brand value by direct linking & detailed statistics then you must go on and try for one. I personally liked their service but if the bandwidth option & advertisement option are changed for good then it would have been better.

A review of Tata Docomo online recharge

Tata Docomo is currently offering the cheapest tariff without any special packs. So I took a Tata Docomo as some of my co workers insisted, rather say compelled me to take one. I took it just a month ago & service of it is quite impressive be it the network connectivity, customer care, sms delivery, network clearance almost every aspect of a mobile operator.
Going every time to a local retailer to recharge the number is not possible for everyone specially when you are working or have some problems to go outside to recharge. Here Tata Docomo offers a online recharge from their website. If you have a stable internet connectivity then you may proceed to do so. Tata Docomo does not charge any extra amount for online recharge. Its the same thing as you go to retailer a buy a paper recharge or do an easy recharge. I recently completed an online recharge on Tata Docomo. And I'm sharing my experience with you all.
Tata Docomo's online recharge interface is good and neatly designed. Best of all there is no third party ads on their page which can track your activity or place some activity logging cookies. Here are the steps.

Just go to their homepage & select Online Recharge from the drop down menu of Account Services placed at the right hand top. You will be taken to this page http://www.tatadocomo.com/online-recharge.aspx where you have top enter your mobile number. Enter your mobile number and hit enter or click submit.
Now you have to choose you recharge type. It means what type of recharge you want. Is it a Top Up Recharge for main account balance or Special Recharge like SMS vouchers or special call rate discount pack. Click on whatever recharge you want to do.
Now you will be taken to a page where you have to enter your email id and select the recharge amount which are listed below. Do these & click submit. After submitting click pay now.
Now you will be taken to a pop up page of Payment. This page is the payment gateway by Billdesk.com, a popular payment processing site. It is secure & safe. You will see the available payment types present at the page like Credit Card, Debit Card, net Banking & Cash Card. Choose whatever way you like to pay.
As soon as you click your preferred payment you will be given extra categories under it. E.G. for paying via Credit cards you will be given the category of credit cards like American Express, Mastercard/Visa & Diners. Choose your option.
Then you will be taken to the main payment page. Here you have to fill up the details (as always you do while making an online payment). This step is important. Fill up carefully.
Now pay & you will see a page confirming that your recharge has been successful & you will be given a Transaction Id such as MSPDxxxxxxxxx45. You can note it down or not cause as soon as you payment completes you will get a message on your mobile as you always use to have while recharging. And you're done :)

But now some main parts I want to share,

Tata Docomo says "While selecting recharge amount you will be given the applicable recharges available for your number." But I saw that there is no Rs. 35 recharge amount on the website for my mumber, whereas I could easily recharge it from a local retailer. What is this ? If the recharge amount was not applicable for my number then how could I recharge with it from the local retailer. (Rs. 35 sms pack works for any number)
Many of the special offer recharges are not enlisted on the recharge amount list. This is no a good repute. We need it to be on the page. :(
As previously said Tata Docomo wants you email id to proceed to recharge. But what do they do with it? Cause when recharge is done we get no information in our email id provided for recharging. They should send a confirmation email with the recharge details.

What I liked is the good & clean interface with an excellent quickness of the process. But if Tata Docomo cares about the shortcomings quoted above then it would have been better.

Things to remember before you go to repair your SMPS

This was the story of me with my SMPS problem. Sumit an co-author & a friend of mine has written this article in our blog TopKolkata.Com. Read it,
Our blog founder Nabajit Saha was having a problem with his SMPS (or CPS as you say) since 7th February 2012. The problem was that whenever he was turning on his PC, after the boot & appearance of the windows log on screen a strange sound (like DRRRRRRRRRR or FHRRRRRRRRRRR) was coming out from the SMPS. He then shut down the PC and started again. This time the same happened again. After repeated 3rd time a strange thing happened. The PC powered on, all was ok till log on screen then as usual the sound started coming out but this time the sound automatically stopped after 2 minutes :-O. He was totally clueless what is happening & only guessed that it was the Fan of the SMPS which is making problem. After that he opened the SMPS and just cleaned the fan from outside (he didn't open the SMPS 7 break the warranty seal). Nothing changed! Then he decided to open the SMPS and see what happened inside.
He opened the SMPS, saw everything was fine inside except one thing that struck his mind which later became the real reason. He guessed that it was the grease or lubricating oil which dried inside the bearings of the fan. But he didn't applied any type of oil or grease by himself. He is using a Zebronics 450W SATA (20+4 pin) SMPS and hence called the service center to inform the problem. Someone from the service center told him to come down to their office along with the SMPS & the bill. He took me with him & we went there. Now from here read with a bit attention. We reached the office & described his problem to a service person sitting in front of a computer. He told us to give his (Nabajit's) SMPS, registered the same for entry purpose, put on a sticker on the SMPS & told us to sit on a chair. We sat there & saw that a lot of SMPS's are there, may be all came for repair we don't know why they are here for. Suddenly within 5 minutes another man asked him to come along with him & showed him to confirm that a SMPS(other than his one's) is working fine. He told us to take that SMPS with him & leave the crashed one we brought with us. After a bit inspection we found that the SMPS he was giving to us was a repaired one & had a lots of shock proof tapes (black tapes, yellow tapes) are stuck with the SMPS board. We quickly asked that what is this? Why he is giving this old repaired one instead of the new one we brought with us. He softly told us that this will not make a problem & to take this with us back home. We denied to do so & he told us to wait for 30minutes for repairing our SMPS. We were waiting & within 5 minutes someone (a serviceman) asked us "why is this warranty seal broken? Who broke it?" Nabajit said that "I broke to clean the fan only by blowing a mouthful of wind & did nothing else." Then the serviceman told us that we have to pay Rs.150 as service charge as we broke the warranty seal. He was right at his point. We pleaded him that "please just see it once, we did nothing except blowing a mouthful wind only after the fan was making problem. We did not broke the seal before the problem arise. Please believe us". But the serviceman said it is against their rule & we have to pay it. We then cam back home & applied our home remedy. We just applied some lubricating oil (very little) & guess what the sound gone . Everything is now working absolutely fine as before.
# Now the main reason of saying these all. We want to aware everyone of Kolkata (& globally also) thing to do & not to do when you face a problem like him.

To Do:

Carefully take out the SMPS from the cabinet by unplugging all the ports from HDD, MotherBoard, DVD drive etc. & release all the screw from cabinet (store them carefully cause if you loss one there is no replacement).
If you are not that much able to do these then please please please take assistant of a experienced person. Cause if you cause any harm to the hardware or the wires you will not be favored with a replacement or free service.
Carefully repack your SMPS in a packet & keep it aside to take it with you to the service center.
Remember to take the purchase bill with you.
Take special care of the WARRANTY SEAL. It is the only one that can fetch you a free service (within the tenure of service period)

Not to DO:

NEVER OPEN the SMPS box of your own if you are in the warranty period. If you open & break the warranty seal your warranty contract goes invalid the moment you break it. It is their contract & can not be avoided or broken.
Never forget to take the bill with you in the service center.
DON'T BE CARELESS when the service center is doing something with your SMPS. Take full attention of what they are doing with it.

Fix disappearing Adsense widget for blogger

Today while reviewing my websites & other guest authorship websites I suddenly discovered that all of the Adsense ads are gone!!! WTF!!! What's the matter, i haven't removed it, neither adsense has banned the ads from the sites. I was amazed & a bit confused. I tried to review the codes, added the adsense gadget again but nothing worked. Now i got tensed & confused. I searched net & found that many of the publishers face the same problems as mine but no one could fix it. I became helpless but suddenly I thought for a while did a smple thing.

I just went to my Adsense account, generated ad codes and inserted in my blogger widgets as an Html/Javascript widget. Guess what it worked :). Al the ads showed up again. I don't know why this strange problem happened, but now I'm happy that the problem is no more now.
