Put your foot up, and watch some snails

Are blogs as dead as punk rock ?

2026-03-10T12:13:00.000+00:00

Probably

Of course, punks not dead.

here are all my videos from this year

i surrender

2022-12-06T11:39:00.002+00:00

i am surrendering blogmas

i just don't have the time with work and other projects

but here is one more AI image given the keyword surrendering

mask

2022-12-05T00:00:00.005+00:00

I have started a new project making 12 masks and so 12 youtube videos one for each month this is in part so I can fill out my youtube schedule and so give me more time to work on longer projects

selfies are hard

2022-12-04T00:00:00.001+00:00

most days I will see someone taking selfies and Instagram is full of them. but how do you take selfies so casually and not have them come out awful, the list of things to keep in mind seems endless, I guess it is part practise and part a numbers game.

this is the best I could do but the AI still turned it into some gold

will my underuse photography equipment make me beautiful or hideous

2022-12-03T00:00:00.001+00:00

today I got out my underuse photography equipment to see what I could do. I have a Slave flash, a self-contained flash unit which responds to external triggers. so I set it up to add light to a doll behind me and it mostly worked.

for what was a thrown-together set-up I don't think it looks too bad the doll is visible but not overlit

now here is what WOMBO's AI turns my photo into with the prompt beautiful than the prompt hideous

man in the mirror

2022-12-02T00:00:00.001+00:00

today just a quick snap in the mirror

and this is what ai did to it using the prompts

ghost, spectre, phantom man in the mirror

the face of blogmas

2022-12-01T00:00:00.001+00:00

2018 was the last time I posted a blog 25 blogmas it is time to resurrect this tradition.

this year I will be focusing on my face. I have never been one to focus too much on my appearance and so maybe it is time to push myself 25 self-portraits (mostly photographs) to add more fun I will use www.wombo.art to see what artificial intelligence can make of my face

500 is a magic number

2022-11-05T05:23:00.000+00:00

Social Blade had been predicting I would hit 500 youtube subscribers by now, but in June numbers dropped as mysteriously as they started climbing last October and 500 subscribers is a magic number on youtube as this gives you a community tab on your channel.

the community tab is like a Twitter feed but on a platform not owned by the world's most famous narcissist where my brand (if I have a brand) gets most of its engagement. and so going from 300 to 500 subscribers and getting the community tab is my aim for the next 6 months.

still here

2022-10-27T20:31:00.002+01:00

I need to get on top of my blogging. this is my first blog of a year that is nearing its end. I need to find a way to fit frequent video and blog in with having a job as we head to Halloween (goth new year)

making this happen is my new year's resolution.

one last pumpkin !

Howl's moving pumpkin

2021-10-26T12:47:00.004+01:00

some new videos for Halloween first "Howl's moving pumpkin" instead of a boring jack-o-lantern, I got over ambitious with my Halloween pumpkins and try scratch building Howl's moving castle from the studio ghibli movie,

and the second "throwing up some Halloween decorations" shows me getting my house ready for spooky season

8000 ?

2021-08-30T17:03:00.001+01:00

my video "repainting a fisher price Chatter Telephone" now has over 8000 views making it my most viewed video

and "no answer on the Chatter Telephone" is getting daily views to

but sadly "shredding scratchcards, featuring a dinosaur" is not doing as good maybe it needs a year before it starts to get views just like the first Chatter Telephone video or maybe I need to double down and make another dinosaur video

so my dinosaur is now out in my garden with my camera trap for my next video

new video: shredding scratchcards, featuring a dinosaur

2021-08-14T11:33:00.000+01:00

it's all phones and games

2021-07-08T20:14:00.009+01:00

my youtube views are up thanks to a fisher price phone a painted last year.

I don't why a year on it is getting so much attention but if it a fisher price phone people want then a fisher price phone people get
