I'll be moving on to a new company end of the month. Well, certainly hope that i'll gain valuable experience and learn something better.

Taking my SND exam too, haven't book my time yet though.

The Miss'ess's Birthday

I'm suppose to blog this out two weeks ago but i've only managed to get the pictures recently, so i'm blogging it at the end of the month. Slow, i know.

I brought her to KL tower to have a nice dinner. It was one of the top floors. When we arrived, we were presented with a la carte or buffet style. After flipping through the a la carte menu, we decided on the buffet. There was nothing much on a la carte, 4-5 choices? Mostly fish dishes and seafood which my miss'ess doesn't fancy it.

The restaurant was actually a revolving restaurant where we get to see around KL city. The revolving speed was just nice as you don't really realizet that it's moving, some say that it's a slow, but i thought it was okay. My miss'ess didn't even realize that the restaurant was revolving, she thought that her eyes were playing tricks on her. One moment she saw the twin tower, the other moment it's gone.

Okay enought talking, time for some pictures! No food pictures though, we were too hungry and gobbled it down before we get to take pictures of it. There were three sections for buffet, the malay food section, western and sushi, and the dessert section.

Conclusion : The price i paid for two person that night was about RM 300++. The food was okay, nothing to shout about. (I and my miss'ess liked the lamb though, that was good) I guess if you want the ambience it's okay to go there but not for the food. Certainly hope my miss'ess is happy with the day.

Moving on, was at A Famosa for the weekends with the miss'ess, won some competition for the global gathering and got a room free and a pair of tickets.

It was a nice getaway for me and her just a while from city life. We didn't go to the rave though, sold the tickets ;). Heard it was muddy and stuff there eh? haha

Got a really nice room though. Food prices are killer there though, RM 15 for 5 chicken wings, must be some chickens that won some flying competition that's why it's wings are so valuable.

Anyway, glad that the miss'ess enjoyed the weekend getaway.

The mis'ess has been shopping around for laptop for business and leisure use for quite some time now. And we finally found one and it was a PINK one hehe. It was a Sony VAIO and we got it on the day it launched. It was the newer replacement model for the C series. It's the VGN-CR11GH. And the design is to kill for. Equipped with a 2.0 Megapixel Webcam on the top of the LCD. It has everything the mis'ess wanted.

Specs are : 1.8 Core 2 Duo, 80 GB hard disk, 1GB RAM, 2.0 Megapixel Camera and the standard wifi and all those yaddi yaddi yadda.

The cover is in glossy pink and it's in light pinkish colour which the mis'ess loved it. The price is a little steep but what do you expect from sony eh? Enough of babbling, time for some pictures.

Yeap, this is the inside. It's pink as well! And with dedicated music button below, Just below the dedicated buttons there are LED lightings. Pretty cool, it's white and blue mixed lightings and it lights up when you press any of the dedicated button or when you close and open the laptop screen. Cosmetic feature. They should have made the keyboard a light shade of pink, it'll be oh so perfect!

At first glance you'll be like, yeah, Hannah T with some guy. But taking a look at the background. It's from the mis'ess's church! I wonder when was this, i don't think the mis'ess knew about Hannah T in her church. Guess i'll be diligently following the mis'ess to the church from now on. :P haha

On a second note.

Dior Gaucho Saddle Bag was being bid at Cheesie's Wardrobe. It's brand new and never been used and the bid started at RM 700. Acording to cheesie it the owner bought it a month ago for more than RM6k but letting it go at a low price. I would've bid it for the mis'ess if i would have to known it a few days earlier. It was sold at RM850.

Guitar tops

Today i feel very guitar geeky so i'm gonna teach you kids about maple woods.

This is a flamed maple and some people like this. This really looks good with a see through black paint on the guitar.

This is my favourite piece of maple. It's called a quilted maple and usually used for the top piece of the guitar. With a see through blue paint, the guitar would look like a swimming pool. Beautiful i tell ya, the best i've saw on a guitar was from ESP as well as from PRS. They make beautiful quilted maple guitars.

A burl maple. Seldom see this on guitar finish. I don't like it cause of the brown spots they have here and there.

And this is a birdeye maple. I think i've seen this on some guitars.

That's all i have for now kids. And remember kids, don't do drugs!

edit: Below is a guitar with a quilted maple. Just imagine it with a see through blue paint. It'll look like water!
