Josh from Hylin came to us with a Cafe concept and to see how he’s pulled it off is amazing. Its always great to see a project through from its inception to the final product and with Hylin we were lucky enough to get in at the start so we have tied the look and feel of the brand in with his architectural choices and its all come together very smoothly. Check him out online Here and go and visit for a coffee and bite to eat at 178 Railway Parade, West Leederville.

It was time to grow the IVY Flowers identity by merely adding ‘that certain thing’. But just what that was, proved a challenge. In a evolution of the identity, we drew inspiration from the organic creations that form a big part of what IVY is all about. The addition of a hand drawn entwined wreath and leaves complimented the classic logotype and added ‘just that little something extra’.

Hafeli Lysnar “provides positioning solutions for professionals in surveying, mining, engineering and construction.” They have been industry leaders since 1983 but felt it was time to update their image as they seek to break into new markets. The new logo gives the brand a new sense of precision and accuracy, the icon not only visually connects with the audience of surveying professionals but also sets a high trajectory for the companies future. It was great to work with the team at HL from the ground up on this – They have been so open to new ideas and design direction. More to come soon…

‘The Northbridge Coffee Roasters’ make their online debut via a new micro-site launched only last week! The eclectic nature of ‘The Roasters’, with their long history in Western Australia and close ties to the coffee-loving public of Perth is clearly reflected in this simple modern and chic online presence. A timeline of pics clearly presents them as one of Perth’s major players, having roasted coffee fresh daily, since 1936. Their multi-faceted offerings of ‘service and technical knowledge’, ‘coffee education’ and ‘roasting expertise’ start to become evident as you explore.

The site takes advantage of a vertical scrolling format and its responsive nature makes it ideal for phone and ipad viewing. Colour blocking is used in rich coffee crema hues along with a hint of vibrant green, reminiscent of pre-roasted beans. The new site is only a temper of what is to come, but is enough to offer viewers an insight in one of Perth’s oldest coffee roasters. visit them at theroaster.com.au and discover for yourself.

Revisiting a poster from the early 60’s, we were able to recreate and enhance the retro feel of a logo from years past. The choice of green, reminiscent of raw coffee beans, added a fresh appeal to shelf ready packaging, while the imperfect art of box print provided the ideal ‘hand finished’ application.
