One Bored Gamer Girl - Star Wars 2008

I'm so bored with the video game selection that's out right now. I've either played it or I don't want to play it. My all time favorite games are Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Silent Hill , Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, MassEffect (wallpaper), Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion...etc.

Basically think of any good fantasy-based, role-playing adventure game and I've played it. Has anyone played Dark Sector yet? I'm just curious if it's any good..I haven't heard much about it yet but it's one of the last games at Blockbuster for PS3 that I haven't rented yet..they have a crappy selection but their actually getting a tad better lately. Lame thing is they got rid of all their older games so if I wanted to rent Silent Hill 2 or SSX Tricky..I couldn't..Blockbuster won't carry older games anymore.
Anyway, there are a few games that are coming out soon that I'm excited about..

I'm so bummed that I have to wait until the end of 2009 to play the new Final Fantasy game. I feel like I've been waiting for the next good one since FFX! I just haven't liked any of the recent sequels. FFX2 Sucked. Dancing? Pop Star? Changing clothes for battle? Give me a break. I wish they'd hurry up and release Final Fantasy Versus XIII already. Damn. :)

What have we done to this planet? One day it's unbearably hot....then next day it's storming, raining and cold. Seriously what happen to the summer months? I think probably 20% of the time this summer has been hot days and the rest of them have been like normal spring days or late winter. Pretty sad.

But Smarsh is smoking HOT this year! It was just announced today that we ranked 187 out of the top 5000 fastest growing companies in the nation!
Very cool.

I found a HUGE database of Photoshop brushes in a brush community at Deviantart.com. If you enjoy designing graphics or you want to make yourself a wallpaper, layout, icon etc.. you should check it out.

If you go to - this link - look to the bottom of the left hand sidebar - Under the Members section you'll see links to pages and on those pages are hundreds of links to their brushes. Nice brushes. Great artists. You must check this out and bookmark it for later. I did.

Speaking of design..I've been working on redesigning some website templates for the template based system we use at work ..it's been interesting to say the least but fun. :)

Flock is so bad ass..It seems I find a new feature on Flock everyday that makes me go "WOW that's cool".

_ For example I took this screen shot with Flocks built in screenshot tool that allows you to select clips and snap away.

_ It has a built in Blog editor so I can post to my blog using my browser

_A drag and drop web clipboard manager

_Media bar that streams media from sites like Flickr, Digg, Youtube, your Facebook friends

_A sidebar with all your updated feeds and social networking sites

_side bar listing all your accounts and services that you can click on an automatically be logged into

So if you haven't tried it yet..dammit try it! I still use Firefox and I probably always will but I love me some Flock now and then.. it's like my secret little drug...well maybe not that dramatic no..but it's damn good? I love their My world page it shows me all my updates from my social networking sites. It's nifty. (see screenshot)

Demri was only 5 feet and weighed probably 90 pounds. She was a little doll.

I totally remember this picture..there was other pictures of her from this photo shoot and she was topless wearing a pink tutu. They were great and if I recall correctly there was joke pics of Layne in the tutu too. Haha! The picture used in my icon is from the same photo shoot.

I found these online even though I was close friends with her I don't have any pictures left of her and yet these people who never knew her do. I lost so much. I had pictures of us at the Oregon country fair but I lost those a long time ago..actually I should be grateful I can find pictures of Demri online otherwise I'd be left with only my memory to rely on. Yikes.. I can't say the same for other friends who've I've lost who were not connected to a famous rock star so their pictures are not online in random places. :( Like my best friend Rosheen who passed away 6 months after Demri in 1996. She was 23. I miss my friends.

Today went by quick at work...like really fast and it's the coolest thing for me because work has never gone by fast for me. In my last post I was talking about feeling restless lately well my whole life it's always been hard for me at my jobs to not feel antsy and clock watch. I don't do that at this job. I don't clock watch and I don't dread getting up and going to work in the morning which is just not a normal feeling for me. I'm so grateful to be doing something that I like.. to be working, making money and not feeling like I get to get out of here all day long. I like the people I work with too which is always a plus.
I'm grateful is all.

This video is so awesome..I wish I was this good at Photoshop...I mean honestly..DAMN!!! You might want to turn your sound down a tad if your at work though because the song that's playing starts out with "It's Britney Bitch" and if your at work that could be pretty embarrassing.

A Caged Bird....

Feeling restless..ever since I was a kid every now and then I get these restless feelings.... like a caged bird or something. It's not anxiety it's something completely different. It's not a bad feeling so much but a feeling like I should be doing more or like I'm not doing what I really should be doing..like time is running out..I also usually get the urge to cut my hair or dye it or do something drastically different to the way I look and NO I'm not some emo whack job I swear..I just want more in this life and I start to get these feelings like it's time for the next step even when I don't know what the next step is or where the finish line is..yeah so anyway..I've been feeling like this for the past few days and I know I'll figure out what it is I want to do and when I do I'm going to get it done.
