Very good news friends! State Bank of India has published an official advertisement for the recruitment of clerical staffs in its organizations across the country in 2016-17. This year, SBI is going to recruit more than 15000 clerks through this recruitment process.

Vacancy, eligibility details for SBI Clerk recruitment 2016

Name of the Posts:

Junior Associates (Customer Supports & Sales)
Junior Agricultural Associates

Both are clerical posts.

Vacancy details: There are almost 15000+ clerical posts available. Post-wise and state-wise vacancies are given in the official notification.

Eligibility:

Junior Associates : Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
Junior Agricultural Associates: Graduate in agriculture from a recognized university.

Pattern of Exam :

Preliminary Exam : 100 marks
Main Exam : 200 marks
Interview

Application Fees: Rs. 100 for SC/ ST/ PWD/ EXSM and Rs. 600 for UR/ OBC candidates.

Online Application starts: from 05.04.2016 to 25.04.2016
Date of Preliminary Exam: May/ June, 2016

Final Result of RBI Grade-B Officer 2015 Exam declared

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the final result of Grade-B Officer Recruitment Exam 2015. The Phase-I exam was held on November 22, 2015 and Phase-II of which was conducted in December, 2015. The interview was conducted in February, 2016.

IBPS Clerk-V Final Result will be on 1st April, 2016

Waiting for IBPS Clerk-V final result? Then wait for few days. The result of IBPS Clerk CWE-V 2015 recruitment is going to be declared on 1st April. As per news from reliable sources, IBPS will release the final result on the first day of next month. This year, there will be no common interview after preliminary and main exams as per official announcement by the PM, Mr. Narendra Modi on radio program 'Mann ki Baat'.

The main exam was held in January, 2016. Almost after 3 months, the result is likely to be published.

What will be IBPS Clerk-V expected final cutoff marks?

Well, as there is no interview stage this year, the final cutoff will be quite higher than that of previous years. IBPS releases state-wise cutoff marks. In average, the expected cutoff marks for General category will be around 150-155.

No Interview from IBPS Clerk-V Exam

Good news for all IBPS Clerk-V aspirants! There will be no interview after IBPS Clerk-V main exam. Prime Minister Narendra Modi already made an announcement on 'Mann Ki Baat' radio program that there will be no interview stage for Group B (Non-Gazetted), C and D posts that will be effective from 01.01.2016. As per news from closed sources, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is ready to withdraw the interview program after main exam. It is likely to be started with IBPS Clerk-V exam.

Then only Written Exam- preliminary and main? Is there any alternative to the interview?

Well, it is almost confirmed news that there won't be any interview after IBPS Clerk-V 2015 main exam. So, is there any alternative stage instead of common interview? We know that many of you are thinking this question. There would be a possibility to introduce Psychometric Test after IBPS Clerk-V main exam. This test will be qualifying in nature.

When will be the IBPS Clerk-V main result declared?

How to score well in IBPS PO/ Clerk/ RRB Exam

Hello friends! IBPS exam is knocking at your door. So, it's the crucial time for you to be prepared well for the battle. Today, we will discuss about the exam strategy.

In every year, lakh of students apply for Probationary Officers (PO), Clerk recruitment in different nationalized banks and regional rural banks (RRBs) conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel selection (IBPS). Earlier, there were two stages of the whole recruitment process which are - online test and interview.

But from 2015, IBPS has changed in recruitment procedure. A preliminary exam has been incorporated which is nothing but a screening test. A candidate has to clear the preliminary test to be appeared for main exam. Although, this change has been made for IBPS PO & Clerk recruitment exam. The process remain unchanged for IBPS RRB recruitment.

Now we are directly entering into the discussion on the recruitment stages.

Preliminary Exam :

The preliminary exam is common for IBPS PO, Clerk, RRB exam. There will be an online exam which consists of 100 marks (for PO & Clerk only). As it is a screening test, we have said, the question paper would be quite easy. The main competition will be in next stage i.e. in main exam. So, it won't be a difficult task to qualify in this stage. You should not take too much risk in prelim exam. Because this hurdle will take you to the next hurdles. Now let's have a look into the syllabus of prelim exam.

Syllabus of Prelim Exam (effecting from 2015) :

1) English - 30 marks
2) Reasoning - 35 marks
3) Math - 35 marks

We will discuss subject-wise later.

Main Exam :

This is the crucial part of the recruitment process. Actually main exam is the exam what was actually in previous years. Marks of main exam will be counted. So, be careful in this stage. Don't need to have target to score cent percent here. Make your target shorter.Attempt those particular questions which you could solve. Because, there are negative marks which is in the ratio of 4:1.

7 Points you should keep in mind -

Never lose your confidence after checking the previous year's question papers. May be the papers are tough. Actually only for few questions, the papers seems to be tough. But, you should concentrate on those questions which are not tougher.
Again, we would say, you need to write the exam for scoring 100% marks. But your aim to obtain as many marks as you could. Give your best in the exam.
Study the previous years' questions paper thoroughly. It would help you to get some ideas about the question pattern. Then proceed accordingly.
Mark those questions or portions which you could solve. Never concentrate on those questions which makes trouble while solving and hence waste too much time.
After marking those portions, practice questions as much as you can. Collect different types of those questions and try to solve. It will help you to increase your confidence.
After that, if you think that your mentally ready to face mock test, try to solve some practice sets.
The more practice papers you solve, the more you will be benefited. It will surely help you to be self motivated.

This is the last stage where your personality is checked. Interview is a game changer. If you score less marks in online test, you might have a chance to overcome. We have already said that interview is a game changer because it is seen every year that some candidates obtain score which is just above the cutoff marks. But in interview, they hit tremendous scores as they perform well. So, you can not ignore interview. It is also as important part as online test is.

80000 vacancies in Banks in next two years

Good News! Those who are taking preparation for jobs in government banking sectors, would be very happy to hear such news. Huge number of posts will be vacated in next two years in different nationalized banks including State Bank of India. Around 80000 bank employees are going to retire in next two years (2015-2017). It will result a huge vacancies in different govt. sector banks.

News from the sources, more than 78,800 staffs will retire in this years out of which, 39,756 staffs (19,065 Officer and 14,669 Clerk) in this financial year. In next year, around 39,000 employees will retire out of which 18,506 Officer and 14,458 Clerk. According to Finance Ministry, there will be few recruitment on contract basis. Thereafter, notification for permanent recruitment process will be issued.

Finance Minister, Mr. Arun Jately told in a press conference that few nationalized banks are thinking about recruiting employees in their organizations through campusing from some reputed institutions of the country. But the process has not been implemented yet due to some legal complexity.

So friends, this is really a very good news undoubtedly. Finger crossed!

I qualified in IBPS PO IV and CLERK IV and have been selected as a PO in UNION BANK OF INDIA and as a CLERK in ALLAHABAD BANK .

At present I am working in UNION BANK OF INDIA as a PO.

I owe my success to my parents , my family and to my husband who kept me motivated in preparing for banking exams.

Now I would like to share few tips to all the readers of IBPS-NEWS .

1. Practice sample paper as much as you can. At least 2 per day... one online and the other one via book.. for online sample paper I would like to suggest that one should go for mahendra online speed test.. trust me its very helpful.

2. Reading English newspaper not just help you with your GA but it also improves your reading skills.. which ultimately help you in your comprehension section.

3.For aptitude and reasoning.. practice more and more

4. And lastly the time management. time allocation is very mandatory and should be strictly followed in each section..

My time allocation in each section was:

a )Computer 10 mint
b) GA and banking awareness 15 mint
c) English 25 mint
d) Reasoning 35 mint
e) Aptitude 40 mint

At last I would like to tell you that qualifying banking exam is not too tough .... Just trust yourself and study hard.

IBPS RRB CWE-IV 2015 Notification, Online Application

Good News for bank aspirants! Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has issued an official advertisement for Common Written Examination (CWE) 2015-16 for the recruitment of Group “A”-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B”-Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in various Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). The selection will made in two stages- Online Test and Interview. After qualifying in online exam, successful candidates will get a IBPS Score card which will have a validity till 31.12.2016. Vacancy details: Total 504 vacancies are available.

Eligibility : Must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50 percent marks. Knowledge in basic computer operation, word processing is necessary.

Syllabus & Pattern of Exam : The selection will be made in two stages- online test and interview. Online exam will be on 200 marks. The detailed exam pattern are as as follows-

Reasoning - 40 marks
English - 40 marks
Numerical Ability - 40 marks
General Awareness - 40 marks
Computer Knowledge - 40 marks

Each question contains 1 mark. Negative marks are there. For each wrong question, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
