Associate Aaron Grant Selected to Participate in Indiana Agricultural Leadership Program

Aaron Grant was selected as one of 30 Indiana’s top farmers and agribusiness men and women to participate in the fifteenth class of the Indiana Agricultural Leadership Program (ALP), sponsored by AgrIInstitute, Inc. During the two-year program, ALP class members will attend 12 seminars held throughout Indiana, travel to Washington, D.C. to meet with national leaders and spend 10 to 14 days in a foreign country studying international issues.

Since it began in 1984, nearly 380 participants have graduated from the Indiana Agricultural Leadership Program, strengthening and transforming their local communities and the agricultural community as a whole. AgrIInstitute, Inc. works to improve the agricultural community by fostering leadership development and facilitating communication among diverse interests on agricultural, food and natural resources issues. A non-profit organization, AgrIInstitute provides the Agricultural Leadership Program through the financial contributions and grants of individuals, corporations and associations representing the diverse agricultural industry.

Judy Okenfuss Receives Distinguished Young Alumni Award

Indianapolis, May 4, 2012 – On April 20, 2012 Washington University in St. Louis School of Law presented Judy Okenfuss, Partner, Ice Miller LLP with a Distinguished Young Alumni Award at the annual Awards Dinner. She received her Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering and Bachelors of Arts in Spanish in 1984 as well as her Juris Doctorate in 1991 from Washington University.

Okenfuss is a member in the Litigation and Intellectual Property Group and focuses her practice on products liability litigation, class action defense, trade secrets, risk and crisis management, ultimately helping clients to "eliminate, minimize and transfer risk."

Ice Miller LLP is proud to sponsor Lemonade Day, a national initiative, with more than 30 cities participating across the country. Scott Jones (co-founder and CEO of ChaCha) started Lemonade Day in Indianapolis after being approached to spearhead the initiative Michael Holthouse (entrepreneur, and founder of Lemonade Day in Houston, Texas). It works like this: On Saturday, May 19, 2012, kids across the Greater Indianapolis Area will set up their lemonade stands, sell lemonade and become lemonade tycoons! In the weeks leading up to Lemonade Day, kids pair up with a "caring adult," sign up and work together through lesson plans about how to start a lemonade business. Kids get to keep the money they earn on Lemonade Day and are encouraged to "save a little, donate a little and spend a little." Kids also participate in fun contests and additional learning opportunities along the way. Indianapolis, May 1, 2012 – Ice Miller LLP is pleased to announce it has again been recognized as a Top 100 Law Firm for Diversity by MultiCultural Law Magazine. Ice Miller was ranked 15th in the "Top 100 Law Firms for Women" listing, and 11th in the publication's "Top 25 Law Firms for African-Americans" listing.
