What are your sales and revenue projections in your first year?
What government permits and approvals are needed to start your business?
Describe the process of manufacturing or producing your product.
Briefly describe your fulfillment process.
Determine your first-year production/manufacturing capacity.
Who are your potential suppliers?
What resources do you need to have in place before you start your business?
Determine your fixed and variable monthly operating costs to run your business.
What personal strengths and weaknesses are likely to impact your business operations?
Describe your contingency plans to enable you to buffer market /operational shocks.

PARA.... President Donald Trump unveiled sweeping 10% tariffs on all imports to the United States on Wednesday. About 60 countries or trading blocs will see even higher rates in an escalating move that is poised to initiate a global trade war.

The move also includes specific tariffs on countries with low formal tariff rates but significant trade surpluses with the U.S., including the UK, Australia and Brazil.

United States allies react to President Donald Trump’s Reciprocal Tariffs. Some allies like Canada say they will retaliate, while others like Australia say they will not, saying this is not the act of a friend and partner, but rather seeking to resolve the tariff issue with constructive engagement with the United States administration. Many non-allies like China definitely plan to retaliate.

According to a chart Trump held up, the U.S. will impose a 34 percent tariff on Chinese imports; 20 percent on goods from the European Union; 25 percent on South Korean products; 24 percent on Japanese imports; and 32 percent on goods from Taiwan.

The 34 percent reciprocal tariff that China will face is in addition to a 20 percent tariff on the country which is already in effect, the White House said.

While announcing the measures, Trump invoked national security powers under a continuing state of emergency to justify the action, circumventing Congressional approval.

PARA...Trump has announced 10% tariffs on imports from any country into the United States, and even higher tariffs for the following 60 trading partners that have a high trade deficit with the US.

The U.S. had an overall trade deficit of $918.4 billion in 2024, with the largest gaps coming from China ($295.4 billion), the European Union ($235.6 billion), Mexico ($171.8 billion) and Vietnam ($123.5 billion), according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Nigeria and Other African Countries

Many African countries that have trading relations with the United States are affected by the tariffs. Nigeria will pay a reciprocal tariff of 14% because it charges the US 27%.

Some African countries, like Madagascar, will pay a high tariff of as 47% because it charges the US 93%. South Africa will pay 30% (demands 60% from the US), 13. Angola will pay 32% for charging the US 63% in tariffs. Tunisia will be assessed 28% because it charges 55% to the US. Algeria demands 59% from the US, so the US reciprocates with a tariff of 30%.; Egypt will pay 10% (demands 10% from US) 21% tariff is imposed on Côte d'Ivoire because it demands 41% from the US. Morocco will pay 10%, and it charges 10% tariffs on the US

President Trump said the new tariffs on U.S. trading partners were "reciprocal," meant to reflect those countries' trade barriers on American goods. He didn't explain how the rates were calculated, but a clearer method appeared later on Wednesday.

According to analysts and later White House clarification, each country's tariff rate was based on the U.S. trade deficit with that country, divided by the value of that country's exports to the U.S. Trump then cut that number in half, saying he was being "kind."

Egusi Soup is a traditional, very nutritious soup popular in southern Nigerian states and across West Africa. It is a one-pot soup whose main ingredient is ground Egusi (melon seeds) combined with various spices, meats, and vegetables (optional). The main ingredients are ground Egusi seeds combined with palm oil, onions, hot pepper, smoked dried fish, and meats (such as goat or cow meat, stock fish, snail meat, etc.). The combination of ingredients depends on the person making the soup. The finished soup is spicy, sometimes thick, and very delicious and flavorful ~ Dr. Tom’s Foodies

Nigerians awoke in the morning of December 26, 2025, after Christmas to their utter surprise that during the night of December 25, 2025, the United States had carried out targeted precision airstrikes against ISIS-affiliated militant camps in Sokoto State.

The Nigerian government, through a press release, and the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), confirmed the strike operation, which was first announced by President Donald Trump on his Truth Social media platform. The strike involved the launch of multiple Tomahawk cruise missiles from a U.S. Navy vessel in the Gulf of Guinea. These are costly smart bombs that the Nigerian government does not possess in its arsenal of weapons due to their high cost.

In his announcement of the strike, President Trump stated, “Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries!” The strikes represent a great escalation in U.S. military involvement in West Africa. The strike was welcomed by most Nigerians, but not all Nigerians, as a relief from the seeming inability of the Nigerian government over the years to resolve the terrorist and banditry issues, etc, facing the country. There are ongoing media debates, both in Nigeria and around the world, over the appropriateness of the strikes and especially over the justification and the timing by Trump regarding the need to strike at the SIS terrorist, especially on Christmas Day.

Human development involves a foundational process of learning, but not all learning results in expertise. Expertise requires a deliberate and structured process that transforms basic knowledge and acquired skills into a high level of proficiency. This article explains how learning develops gradually into expertise.

Stages of Learning

The journey from beginner to expert typically passes through several stages:

1. Novice: A learner, often termed a novice, is an individual new to a task, skill, or situation who lacks the necessary experience. At this phase, the individual has limited or no experience. The individual heavily relies on rules and instructions, and supervision to complete tasks.

2. Advanced Beginner: A beginner advances with increased knowledge, experience, and repetition, enabling the individual to start recognizing patterns so simple tasks can be independently handled. If you’ve been online in the last 24 hours, you must have seen that trending video

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike is having a heated clash with some Nigerian soldiers over a land property in Abuja.

Now, most people are just laughing and dropping memes…

But if you truly understand money, you should be thinking deeply.

Because that single incident yesterday explains why banks in Nigeria no longer accept land or buildings as collateral, and why so many businesses are quietly dying.

As your Financial Literacy Advocate, let me break it down in plain language

Imagine:

Mama Ngozi owns a piece of land in Abuja.

She built a nice plaza on it and has tenants paying her rent every month.

One day, she goes to the bank to get a ₦200 million loan to expand her business.

She submits her land documents as collateral.

The bank officer smiles and says:

“Madam, we can’t take this land o… what if the government revokes it tomorrow?”

Mama Ngozi laughs, “Ah! How can the government revoke my land when I have C of O?”

But just yesterday, we all saw what happened.

The FCT Minister drove down to revoke a land, and soldiers stood their ground to defend it.

Both parties claimed “ownership”.

Now imagine if that same land was already used as collateral in a bank…

Sit outs are a great place to dine or simply relax with friends, drinking beer in the open refreshing evening air and enjoying music, live band, etc.

We can draw valuable inspiration from the Japanese approach to education and industry. For instance, school children in Japan take an active role in maintaining their classrooms, fostering a sense of responsibility and teamwork.

The Japanese educational and industry system emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and a strong work ethic.

Characteristics of the Educational System:

Holistic Development Approach: Focuses on moral education, academic achievement, and physical fitness.
Group Learning Approach: Teamwork is emphasised, and collective problem-solving is encouraged from an early age.
Standardized Curriculum Approach: National guidelines provide educational consistency across schools, with a strong emphasis on mathematics and science.
Entrance Examinations Approach: Emphasis is placed on high-stakes entrance examinations to determine access to prestigious high schools and universities, creating and maintaining a competitive environment.

Japanese Industry Practices:

The Kaizen Philosophy: Emphasis is placed on continuous improvement in industry, which is central, promoting incremental changes for efficiency and quality.
Lifetime Employment Security: Japanese culture expects companies to provide lifetime job security, which fosters loyalty and long-term commitment.
Consensus Decision-Making: Group consensus is emphasized in making decisions, leading to slower but more inclusive outcomes.
Employee Training and Development: Companies invest heavily in training to ensure a skilled workforce that adapts to rapid technological developments.

Cultural Characteristics:

Respect for Authority: Hierarchical structures in both education and industry reflect cultural traits of respect and discipline.
Community Cohesion: A strong emphasis on community is emphasized, and individuals are expected to contribute to society, thus influencing both educational goals and corporate social responsibility.

These societal and cultural traits make Japanese society unique in many ways and are perhaps responsible for Japan's reputation for high-quality education and efficient industrial practices, even though it currently faces challenges related to an aging population and the need for innovation in a globalized economy.

Japanese Apprenticeship Programs

Their rigorous apprenticeship programs, which can last several years, equip individuals with exceptional skills and expertise, ultimately leading to the production of superior engines and cars that excel in the global market.

Japanese apprenticeship programs are not just about learning a skill but absorbing a way of life. Apprenticeship programs are demanding, requiring years of patience, humility, and persistence. An apprentice may begin with simple tasks like cleaning and maintenance before being taught more complex techniques. Training programs can last anywhere from five to ten years or even a lifetime.

The Japanese are obsessed with cleanliness. They even manufacture self-cleaning public toilets.

The Japanese are also dedicated to cleanliness as a way of life. Cleanliness is part of their culture and identity. Cleanliness is evident in their habits and very obvious in such cultural practices, such as removing shoes indoors, students cleaning their schools, communal neighborhood clean-ups, and rigorous waste sorting. Cleanliness is not viewed as a chore, but rather as an act of respect for oneself, others, and the environment.

BREAKING: Donald Trump goes for Elon Musk's jugular after the billionaire threatens to fund primaries against any lawmaker who votes for the "big, beautiful bill," says that he might "take a look" at deporting him and that DOGE is "the monster" that might "eat Elon."

The gloves are fully off now...

"Elon Musk knew, long before he so strongly Endorsed me for President, that I was strongly against the EV Mandate. It is ridiculous, and was always a major part of my campaign," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

"Electric cars are fine, but not everyone should be forced to own one. Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history, by far, and without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa," he continued.

"No more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a FORTUNE. Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED!!!" Trump added.

The outburst came after Musk slammed Trump's bill as the "biggest debt increase in history" and vowed to help defeat anyone who votes for it even if it's the "last thing" he does. He also threatened to form a new political party if the bill is signed into law.

All of Musk's attacks were about the cost of the legislation but Trump is trying to characterize the feud as being solely about electric vehicle subsidies. He doesn't want to admit that the disastrous bill will skyrocket the debt because Republicans always pretend to care about "fiscal responsibility."

When Trump was asked outside the White House if he's going to deport Musk, a strategy that Steve Bannon has suggested, he said: "We'll have to take a look."

"We might have to put DOGE on Elon. You know... You know what DOGE is?" said Trump. "DOGE is the monster that might have to go back and eat Elon. Wouldn't that be terrible? He gets a lot of subsidies."

"But Elon's very upset that the EV mandate is going to be terminated and you know what, when you look at it, who wants— Not everybody wants an electric car," he continued.

"You know, he's upset that he's losing his EV mandate and except..." he went on. "You know he's very upset about things but he, you know, he could lose a lot more than that. I can tell you right now. Hey, Elon could lose a lot more than that."

In truth, there is no national electric vehicle mandate to be cut in the first place. As usual, Trump is either lying about the facts or simply ignorant of them.

While the bloated, ugly bill would dramatically raise the debt and slash tax credits for electrical vehicles, those are the least of our worries. More importantly, it guts Medicaid, needlessly balloons the Pentagon budget, cruelly targets migrants, solidifies tax cuts for the super rich, and cuts access to food stamps. And those disastrous elements are just the tip of the iceberg.

If this bill passes, the American people will be paying for it with their wallets and, in many cases, with their lives.
