A carpeted area is OK but a hardwood floor or tabletop will work better.<br /></span><br /><span style="font-size:130%;">Setting up the iCoaster will take a bit of trial and error the first time. The magnetic connections are very sensitive and you have to ensure that each track is set up on the correct tower level (note the number on each tower in the instructions). Your local toy store may have iCoaster sets available but you will probably find that the price is marked up about 20% above the prices you may be able to find the sets online or in the department stores like Kmart.<br /><br /><br />We have found that the department stores have either little or no sets available and the best place to purchase is online.<br /><br /><br />The site <a href="http://www.icoasterkids.com/">http://www.icoasterkids.com/</a> has links to several vendors that advertise the iCoaster sets.
