It boasts an amazing fireworks show at midnight which lasts for 20 minutes, followed by a huge dance party which lasts all night. This city also boasts great sandy beaches which feature many beach parties. And to make sure 2018 is a good year for you, do as the locals do and eat a dozen grapes and wear yellow underwear for the big night.

Reykjavik, Iceland

Iceland’s capital might be small, but it has a lot to offer on New Year’s Eve. The celebrations start with bonfires, which are meant to burn away the troubles of last year. These fires light up the sky, and if you want to get a great view of them, you can head to Perlan! At midnight, there is a grand party which lasts all night, and if you’re still awake in the morning, join the locals for hot dogs!

If you want something completely different for New Years Eve 2018, head on down to the beautiful Bahamas! The relaxing beaches will take the worries of 2017 away, and will give way to a great 2018. The Bahamians celebrate entering the New Year with a massive party complete with music, masquerade and colourful costumes.

Edinburgh brings in the New Year with massive amounts of enthusiasm! There is a great street party with glowing torches and music. And if you’re up for some fun, you can always watch brave people taking a dip in the freezing waters on January 1^st at the River Froth.
