Budget and Levy Training is nearly here

This is a reminder that this year's Budget and Levy Training will be starting next week. There are two sessions:

8:30 - noon for taxing districts and counties
1:30 to 4:00 for county clerks

Bring a pen or pencil and calculator as there are working problems to do during the session. And since we can't control temperatures in our facilities, we suggest you dress in layers.

BOISE, IDAHO — April 12, 2012 — Last-minute tax filers can drop off their state and federal income tax returns without getting out of their car. The Idaho State Tax Commission will offer its annual curbside service to taxpayers from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17. The Tax Commission is located at 800 Park Blvd. in Plaza IV of the Washington Group Plaza. Do you qualify for a grocery credit refund even if you don’t normally file a tax return?

BOISE, IDAHO — Feb. 1, 2012 — Idaho residents who don’t normally make enough money to file an income tax return can still get a refund of the grocery tax credit for 2011. The tax credit, which offsets the sales tax on groceries, is $80 for Idaho residents who aren’t required to file an income tax return and $80 for each of their dependents. Residents age 65 and older get $20 more. (Read more)

Pocatello contractor ordered to file income tax returns
