Time is circular!

I've heard this phrase today-

"Time is like a river, but the river is circular"

in a rather popular show- 'Da Vinci's Demons'
which left me thinking... What if this is really true?

Now, this hypothesis seems really far fetched, and as a fan of 'Doctor Who', it doesn't hold much weight being typed by my hands. I'd say neither did it hold much weight in my mind until! I decided to delve into some metaphysics, and then this happened & the thought became worthy of the blog!

Facts & Observations:

Electron revolves around the nucleus, Earth around the Sun... Basically, everything is revolving around something where nothing is at rest or at motion in this universe!
Time and space are relative due to the efforts of Einstein, which is the basic fundamental in explaining how time travel, warp speeds, worm holes, and the T.A.R.D.I.S works(though they might be a little far-fetched).
Moon moves 4cm away from Earth each year, i.e no revolution is perfect as is nothing in the universe and we can't go back to where we were after one complete revolution.
Even humans, if their senses are turned off start walking in circles instead of straight line.

Every thing in this universe, be it matter or light, depends on each other and co-exists in a balance. From the structure of an atom, to that of the Milky Way, the bending of light due to gravity, to the existence of black holes, our universe has a balance.

The straight line just doesn't happen anywhere in the universe, so why should it happen with time?

Now, this might all seem unrelated, or coincidence, but to me, these facts and that quote seemed to make sense!
I arrived at the conclusion-

"Time moves in a circular path, where at the end of its revolution, we are at a slightly different point than the one we started from"

What if there is a deeper relation between time and space, where we are moving in a spiral in Space as well as in Time?

What if the Big Bang didn't just create all the matter in the universe, but the time too, and like the Moon around the Earth, its revolving around something?

in the simplest possible way, what if-

Dinosaurs --> Romans --> Present --> Star Wars --> Slightly different Dinosaurs -->?

where the events in our present and the future leads to a slightly different past and the past, present and future are nothing but the points on this spiral?

What if we are 'predestined' to be at some point in time, and only really huge effort would slightly deviate its course(equivalent to asteroid striking the Earth)? The progress, the future... everything in reality leads to lets say total annihilation and after some billion years, it'd all start over again like it did with the earth?
Those 'Ancient Civilizations' actually are just our future ones, which are deeply buried and forgotten in the past!

What if, time is localized? Like the revolutions of planets around the sun, and the revolution of sun into the milky way?
What if, we have our own time loop we are stuck in and sun has its own, milky way its own, but, closely interrelated like all the planetary bodies are? like there's no Time, but many loops of time, some larger like that of the sun, and some smaller like that of the moon?!

Due to stuff like Space-Time continuum, it might not be so far-fetched to imagine that this might all be true.

In this lecture by Brian Cox('The Science of Doctor Who'), he postulates about bending the space-time graph to make our future actually making us travel to the past.

The parallel universe do not seem so far-fetched by this theory now. We know that there are infinitely many parallel universe and they might just be the adjacent curves in the spiral!

Not the final draft by any means, but really, what do you think?!

Brain? Knowledge Graph?.. Can this be..?

I still remember the day I first saw the video about Google's new 'Knowledge Graph'. The concept was as amazing as it was simple. For those who don't know what it is yet.. see this video.

Now after watching it, an epiphany came to me.. that maybe this is how our brain works!!!!
This was a pretty awesome idea.. so I needed something to convince myself.. and here's what points thought of to prove this fact-

Think of every event or object as a node in this knowledge graph. So there you get millions of nodes interconnected in this weird 3D structure.
Now lets see you want to remember what you did yesterday- What you'd do is go to yesterday's node and start travelling to the today's node from there.. the way would illuminate what you did! and that's pretty easy to remember as it was recent. So what about like a year ago?
To overcome this hurdle, I took the paths i.e. line connecting 2 nodes as a line drawn in a desert or mountain or whatever.. just that it must deteriorate with time. So if there's no path connecting to that node, then we can't remember it!(if you are a programmer, think of it as a memory location with no pointer)
So this way I can theorize how we don't remember what we did a year ago.. But now the question comes.. how do we remember somethings from the past, like last christmas, or 9/11?
The answer is.. first of all, we don't travel to that node through time node.. There's nodes for Christmas, and other events which are linked to their counterparts making the travel to the node very short. and also we take one more assumption-
i.e. The more we travel a path, the more deeply ingrained it becomes and the more time it takes to forget it! or some paths are sudden and like laser-burned paths.. too difficult to erase like murder and stuff!
Now lets take an example- Lets say, I asked you what was your answer for the 3rd question in section B in English exam you recently took(almost like google explained it)(or facebook's KG). What you'd be doing is- First travel to the time node, and find it difficult to go to our desired node; then go to the exams node and yep, there's this recent path towards recent exams.. you travel through it to the English Exam. then you feel the close nodes and find the questions you found interesting, or events related to that day.. from there you go to different paths and try to reach what was asked.. if the path is there, you can find it.. It can take some time depending on the algorithm you used, but you'd find it!
If you've read through the example, you'd see that we went to the time node, exams node instantly..
These are the nodes that are traveled through a lot, making them Hubs or lets say international airports or nodes in cache memory.. fast access!

Okay.. so this far we have established that nodes are events, paths deteriorate with time with exceptions, and the more we travel through one path, the more ingrained it becomes. Also there are Important nodes which we use a lot, and different people use different algorithms when they want to remember something: thus taking different times!

Now, I started to explore this theory.. as it has started to make sense to me!! What about multitasking? Like do you remember the times when you were riding a bicycle, going somewhere you visit a lot- like home, or school and talking with friends. That's a crazy amount of load on memory even though it doesn't feel like it. Sometimes you get into a conversation too much to notice that you've reached your destination.. its like your body has a mind of its own!
This all happens due to brain.. the common events like riding a bicycle somewhere everyday for a long time are interpreted by the brain as something useful and the whole node+path combo of it is put into a compartment.
so whenever we want to do that thing, brain would just kind of 'play' the event and the focus on your part is marginalized.. Brain then uses your senses like eyes and ears to direct the process and only alerts you if something out of the ordinary thing is there! this way you can talk among friends and use that focus to remember things used in that conversation. Atleast that's what made sense to me!
Take this example too- You know sometimes we try to forget things and end up memorizing them? that happens due to traveling down that path a lot. But sometimes we forget it, by just braking down at some nearby node like going to the night of murder, but not going to the node of murder(I know its morbid.. but its kind of what we'd want to forget and end up doing)
Another example- The simplest one.. During exams when trying to memorize something, we read that thing again and again to do that! Classic path traveling, path engraving example! Now people say they forget stuff after a few month of exams.. and I'd say why not! You never ever read or use that knowledge again(like brith date of some important figure).. thus path fades away!

Now I can go on and on.. but there's no point in doing that!

So I'd ask you readers(if any of you reached this end) to come up with examples disproving this theory.. or proving it!
Cuz if its true.. and this is how our mind works.. nothing spectacular would happen, but atleast we'd get a temporary answer to this unexplained mystery!

Love- My 2¢

I just saw a post today about love.. and decided to put my own 2cents here.. cuz well, this blog's for ideafecating!
so here goes-

Love is such a fickle concept.. I have fallen in love like a dozen times and I'm only 20! I know people say that's crush, not love.. and maybe it is.. But after I failed to "woo"? the first couple, I learned to accept the fact.
Like every other person's life, I saw mine having these 'bad days' as they say, and learned to move on..
THese hindi films, shows and all have made love to be of too much value.. so much that stupid people have started to believe its The one true thing in life..

What they don't understand is that love is like a shiny new toy.. sometimes you get it, sometimes all you can do is stare and wish you had it… also it can get broken too like any other toy.. some big bully can take it from you if you are not careful.. crying and all in that scenario is alright in that case.. but suicide.. that's pretty stupid as there's lots of other shiny toys out there.. Maybe you won't like new one as much as you liked the last one.. but that's just your psych telling you that nothing can top the last one.. but like kids, you gotta learn and grow from it.. not die crying like some little b***h!

Love is an adult's plaything.. for teens its crush and for kids.. idk what it is.. they are the ducklings(following ducks everywhere) so it doesn't matter much!

But the point is.. it isn't that much significant in the grand scheme of things.. its just a part of your life.. filling up your social bar like the sims.. not an integral part to waste your life away. There's a lot to look forward to in life.. Every turn brings something new in it. Love is just one turn like that!

Getting depressed over something like that is just a waste of time and effort.. and dying..
When someone said life is a game.. they weren't wrong..
Friends, families, places, things, Events.. all of them are hurdles.. the more you pass through, the more experience you gain, but the chances of failure is increases too!

There are a thousand different way to die in a game.. and just a few to get through the levels.. you can always let those ducks eat you.. but jumping over them is the real challenge(yep! A mario fan).. Now you may think of love as the boss monster- difficult to get through.. But it isn't! There's always the cheat of changing your mentality or 'Perception' and just getting over it..
yep.. its really that simple!.. though you don't get checkpoints or extra lives.. so that's a bummer!.. but you can always use cheats!
Now those Hardcore-love fans might think I'm objectifying love too much.. but that's how it is.. and the sooner you accept the fact, the sooner you can become more awesome than your past-self!

What would happen if all the statues in the world came alive?

Confusion first.. then statues of things like dragons, lions etc, would start attacking people.. destroying lives.. places

Some people would be investigating on how this could be possible..

Now, the statues of intelligent beings, could form a community to think about what to do with their lives, or go into an disarray like Night at the Museum.

When all the wild statues are either destroyed or imprisoned by the governments, and all the intelligent beings are given some rights and duties, People would start going to the statues of people like Einstein, Newton, Da Vinci and such.. I mean just Imagine all these famous people coming back.. for Historians, Scientists, Researchers etc, this would be like the best thing that had ever happened.

Maybe some crazy people would kidnap some statues to investigate their bodies on how to replicate this phenomenon and create their own armies..

I can't even begin to understand what would the Rapa Nui (Easter Island) be like after all of those statues comes alive.. or Statue of Liberty.. Maybe it'd decide to protect USA to infinity and beyond!

Conclusion.. World would get into disarray, many lives would be lost, maybe statues would decide to wage war on us.. But in the end, Humanity will survive, more strong than ever, with live statues living among us.. It could take as little as dozens on months to hundreds of years.. but it would be done!

Ghosts - My Experience!

I know most of you don't believe in Ghosts.. But really, after What I've seen, heard... I don't think I could refute their existence anymore!

First Experience-
I forgot about it Completely.. its like it was deleted from my mind. Though I remember the next two incidents as clear as if they have happened just yesterday..

Second Experience-
idk how old I was, But it was around the time "Ssssh Koi hai" used to come at 11pm around 9 years ago. I was maybe 11 or so years old at the time.

I awoke at 4am to use the washroom on a summer Night. There was a power cut in the area at that time and as it was night, all the lights were off.

When I was washing my hands, a tall figure(~6ft) came out of the kitchen holding a candle.
Now the layout of the house is like there's a central room, with which almost all the rooms are connected on the floor... mine, my parents', grandparents', washroom, and even the sink where I was washing hands.

In my sleep addled mind, I thought it was one of my grandparent, as they usually wake up at around 5.. so I called to them. One by one, I called it by the name of every adult figure in my home and as it didn't respond, my panic started to grow..

About the ghost(through my sleepy eyes)- It was pure white holding a white candle emitting white light instead of normal yellow.. I didn't notice that at the moment.. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.
It looked like the ghost in the image below, just imagine a normal human, holding a candle, glowing white like this.. with a misty quality to it.

Now when it had crossed like 20 feet just walking, holding the candle never responding to my calls, it suddenly vanished.. Not one moment there and the next not vanish, But it was like it evaporated as a mist.
That was the moment I screamed... yea kind of silly considering it was 4 am.. But I did(I was ~11)... and everyone woke up, came out running, then when I explained.. looked at me strangely..( I had just woken them at 4).

Remember I had a previous Ghost experience before this, so they thought I was going mad or something.. or that's what I thought at that moment.

Well, it only made me fear the dark more.. and being alone at night, wasn't something i could do for many years!

Later on I came to know that the Ghost I saw looked a lot like the Ghost which came on "Sssh koi hai Show" recently.. There was an episode where the ghost was a little kid with a basketball in hand(completely white).
LOL.. that gave me some relief, but experiences like this are hard to forget and get over!!

Third & the Last Experience-
This time was a lot different from the last..

It was a cold Winter Night, and I know this because I was under a thick blanket at that time with even my face covered.

Now this incident is also in the same timeframe, though there wasn't any "Sssh koi hai" this time.

I dont know anything like time for this one, and the room I was in is like this-
there's windows on one side, which has a mini garden just out of it, and then the road.. which connects to a main road just 50 or so meters from our house. think of it like a bus-topology with our road being one node..

I was deathly afraid by this time of ghosts.. and being alone at night, So my elder cousin was given the task to sleep in the same room as me, and I only slept when I was sure that he won't leave the room..(I WAS 11)

All of a sudden, my sleep was broken by the sound of Dogs barking on the road. Now I don't know about you, but dogs roaming on the roads is pretty common in our area.. even the cows, ocassionally pigs..
Anyway, I heard some dogs barking, and I was semi-awake, or I think I was( It could all be a dream too, but one I remember till now)
as it was normal, I didn't think anything of it. But then other animals also started to join in with them.. I still remember hearing voices that could have belonged to cows, horses, lions, elephants, cats..you get my drift.

Now as I tried to rationalize it with me, that it is maybe a circus just passing by(I know...ridiculous) or something(I still am under the blanket completely), the sounds grew more and more in loudness and more and more animals started to join..

Then It reached a point when it was impossible to ignore.. like awesome quality headphones, at full volume in VLC.. Too loud! that I just woke up with a start! and pulled my blanket down- eyes wide open..
All sounds just stopped.

Maybe I wanted to check out the circus or I was just frustrated..
There, standing next to my bedside was a ghost.. unlike I have ever come across..
He was kind of a dwarf.. with big head and eyes wearing a Coat and a tie(It was all I could see). It was like one-third of him was his head, with big tennis-ball-kind-of-big eyes. Rest of what I could see was just about a foot covering his rather small upper body(I don't think he had a neck).

But the most amazing thing about him(definitely a him) was that he was see through, and there was only a 3D outline of radium color(neon Green kind-of).

He looked kind of like this pic, with radium outline, dark-black kind of background and BIG head.

He was just standing there, Staring at me without any emotions at all on his face(maybe he looked serious, I'm not sure).. Shocked, and then deathly afraid, I just tightly shut my eyes, started shivering and put the blanket back on my face covering my eyes..

After about 15 minutes, I started whispering out to my cousin.. and he was just sleeping there, without a care in the world.
I knew that I can't scream or anything due to my previous two encounters..
Then I just stayed that way for a looong time, and maybe after 2-3 hours, dared to lower the blanket again.. Thankfully, nothing was there..

It took many years to get over this fear.. but I'm glad I did! and also I'm glad to have seen them.. Now thinking about them, they make a great story!

God- The concept!

Cima da Conegliano, God the Father

In ancient times, people of great wisdom came together, and made up the concept of God.
Now you must think, Why?

I have once had an epiphany about it.
Then I heard and read in many other religions that man is said to be made in the image of god, or made by god to rule over all its subjects.

I thought, as they say about history, that its written by victors..
In this scenario, these scholars, people with great wisdom are the victors.. Humans are the victors..
Victors of their minds, beliefs and everything

Just think, we, the people, have consciousness.. we can think for ourselves, ask questions, try to understand stuff.. but when there is something we can't understand.. What do we do? We somehow relate it with God, and are done with it until we are ready to understand at a later time.

Before the concept of God, what do you think people did?
They ask those great people these questions like- Why do we exist? What happens after we die? How are we born? Where are we? What is the meaning of love, anger, family, bonds and everything related? All these Whats, and Hows, were unanswerable in ancient times...

What would you have done, when You are considered great by people, and you don't know the answers... of Course, you create an abstract concept, name it God, and tell the masses, that it was the will of the god and answer every question in relation with god!
As nobody knew what or who God was, it was easier to believe that God has created us all(more so after saying we were made in his image) than to have no answers..
First make people believe God is awesome(easily done by saying he created the lands with a wave of his hands or similar things) then relate the people to od, and make them pseudoAwesome.. Everyone's happy!!

as any great idea(like iPhone, or electricity) this one quickly became favorite and widely accepted.

Now, The Great People from different places on earth, changed The concept to their needs.. as there was no Cloud computing to sync all their answers or a wiki where they can see what collective community decided on the concept of God.

So in start, there were so many Gods in so many different communities. The elements were all gods, trees, sun, moon, stars, sky, a random weird rock too.. all were Gods for different people

Then later on more great people saw that due to difference in their beliefs in God, the tribes or to say civilizations started fighting with each other.. He dared say something about moon goddess, or she said ill of this banyan tree God, or whatever their God was..
So they decided to unite them all..

Now many people had this idea, so there still are many religions, but by the invention of books(RulesBook/StoryBook that almost every religion has) and due to these prophets' efforts.. they were able to unite many tribes, and made them follow the Code that they thought would help the mankind. They DID help us all.. phrases like Thank God, or Please help me lord.. they are all here due to these Great People's efforts

So things like waking with the sun, or murdering being a sin.. all these spiritual concepts were introduced by these people with great wisdom, over thousands of years, for the betterment of the society!

And the society is better now!

In the end... Its what My epiphany contains.. and what turned me into an atheist!

Most of the Ideas, and theories I come up with everyday.. I just forgets them.. and I don't like that one bit!This blog is just about all the random shit that pops up in my head.
I want to be able to visit my ideas again and again, place new ones somewhere.. but the kind of stuff my brain comes up with isn't for normal timelines or walls.
Hope whatever Reader I get, will atleast be humoured, laugh a little and maybe, just maybe, wont think me mad!
