Jailbreak for iOS 6.1 Released

The evad3rs team has finally released its jailbreak tool evasi0n. The tool is pretty much similar to absinthe, therefore you just need to connect your device and hit jailbreak.

There might be a high traffic download rate, you can download evasi0n from the following links.

If you happen to be running a Windows 7/8 computer and it's asking you to run as administrator, you can either do the following:

1. Try right clicking on the evasi0n.exe icon and select "Run as Administrator".

If that doesn't work, you may need to elevate permissions. If you happen to know the administrator password, try resetting it from User Accounts inside Control Panel, then do the following.

1. Open the Windows command prompt.
2. Go to the directory where evasi0n.exe is. (Example: If evasi0n.exe is in the C:\ drive, enter "cd c:\" in the command prompt without the quotation marks).
3. Enter this command: runas /user:Administrator evasi0n.
4. Enter the administrator password.

Hackulo Closes the Year Shutting Down Operations

Just a few hours of ending this year, the major community founded in 2008 known as Hackulo has decided to shut down, taking its famous iOS piracy app "Installous" with it. The news will be and is currently impacting millions of active users.

Hackulo was mostly known for its Cydia repository, which included several "tweaks" for jailbroken devices. Among those tweaks, it included a shareware community app known as Installous. The application provided a wide catalog of free software shared by its community members.

The applications found there, were usually downloaded from the AppStore and illegally shared so that it could be downloaded straight from the site or Installous. Even though the community created an extended controversy, the founders claimed Installous was just a place for you to test applications before actually buying it. They strongly suggested to purchase applications you would normally end up liking after testing it completely. The website states the following:

"We are very sad to announce that Hackulous is shutting down. After many years, our community has become stagnant and our forums are a bit of a ghost town. It has become difficult to keep them online and well-moderated, despite the devotion of our staff. We’re incredibly thankful for the support we’ve had over the years and hope that new, greater communities blossom out of our absence.

With lots of love,

Hackulous Team"

The most important feature Hackulo had developed, was a service known as AppSync. The feature was automatically added after installing Installous. The magic behind AppSync, is that you had the ability to sync your device with iTunes, allowing the device to transfer downloaded content to iTunes just as if this was purchased from the AppStore.

Even when this is a serious hit to software piracy, it will also be affecting several iOS device users who relied on other applications held by the community repository through Cydia.

As some separate thoughts, we at iDevel0p kind of expected that or saw it coming. It is extremely hard to keep a site like Hackulo's running without being shut down by legal matters. But not only because of that, but we have seen a lack of importance to some iOS devices mod lately that we believe those who founded sites like Hackulo's are no longer taking the same importance to it, like it used to be a few years ago.

Sadly, these people are young people who did their contribution to the iOS community either on free time, because they liked it, or simply because they could do it. Regrettably, these great people are growing up, and these contributions rarely pays bills. Therefore, they might be seeking into a further way of earning money rather than spending from their free time in a contribution that won't even pay their website hosting.

Somehow if you notice, we haven't heard anything about an upcoming iOS 6 jailbreak for A5 devices or not even close to an iPhone 5 jailbreak promise, way too far from an iPad Mini jailbreak. That's simply because Apple Security is extremely complex and it requires a lot of time which some people is currently limited of.

The jailbreak community won't disappear anytime soon, but it requires of new talented members to be constantly looking forward on spending some time in the development.

How to Disable User Tracking on iOS 6

Previous rumors said Apple was collecting data from their devices usage, meaning all you would do was sent to Apple and stored for analysis or secret conspiracy purposes. After those 3,500 users kidnapped* due to the data collected and leaked, Apple decided to stop it. But now iOS 6 has started collecting your device's data for advertisement purposes. This is how to disable.

1. Go to Settings

2. Go to General.

3. Go to About.

4. Go to Advertising.

5. Turn On Limit Ad.

Apple Accidentally Reveals New iPhone Name

Today is a big day, as we're just close to hear from latest Apple products being revealed straight from Tim Cook at the Apple's Keynote. If you run a search through Apple's website, which is currently under maintenance updating new products, you'll find more than what Apple expects you to find. Searching for 'iPhone-5' will leak URL's leading to new iPhone 5 Tips website. The URL won't work, but the address is actively assigned.

Grey Icons After Jailbreak with Absinthe 2.0.4 or Redsn0w

So, this week I had to send my precious iDevice into repair because of a weird noise on the vibrator. After I got it returned, I had to do re-do my thing and jailbreak again. I had some issues with my Settings Menus but I noticed there were gray icons that remained gray even after restarting the device. If you wonder how to fix it, it's simple.

There seems to be a bug in between the installation method in Cydia that messes the actual pictures on icons, you just need to download any app from Cydia again and that does the trick.

Reasons Why the Next iPhone Won't be Called iPhone 5

It has come to my attention that due to speculations on the next iPhone model and some pictures being released recently, that we're just anxious all the way for the next WWDC to get a hold with Apple's next generation iPhone. But I've seen people referring to the next iPhone as the "iPhone 5" or even worst, referring to iPhone 4 as the "iPhone 4G". I decided to make a statement about those two not even closed to reality names for these devices. Check this out.

It is not a sin to call a device after whatever you want to call it. My cellphone could easily be called after a Sucker Punch hot star such as Sweet Pea (kinda ridiculous for a guy) but it's OK, no one will die for that.

However, it is important that I make a statement so that people stop making ideas of why the next iPhone is the iPhone 5G. There's no such thing as an iPhone 5G. In fact, iPhone 4G should only be referred as iPhone 4th Generation, not after a 4G network or such.

Here's how the story is:

iPhone (Original). On 2007, the First Generation iPhone was released. It was a 2G Network based iPhone (GSM). Against popular belief, there was not a first or second generation iPhone, instead this is known as the iPhone 2G not because of its generation but because of its network type.

iPhone 3G. On 2008, the Second Generation iPhone was released after its network technology (3G). Contradictory to what people think, this is not a 3rd generation iPhone but the 2nd.

iPhone 3GS. On 2009, the Third Generation iPhone was released named as "iPhone 3GS". The 'S' was not revealed officially by apple as an official term, but rumors said it was due to speed improvement as it doubled performance from its previous predecessor.

iPhone 4. On 2010, the Fourth Generation iPhone was released named as iPhone 4 after its own generation. The phone itself is not an "iPhone 4G" but a plain iPhone 4 being the fourth iPhone being released. There is nowhere in Apple's website or documents that identify the iPhone 4 as an iPhone 4G contradictory to how people sell or refer it to.

iPhone 4S. On 2011, the Fifth Generation iPhone was released named as iPhone 4S. Apple has not released an official version of what the 'S' stands for on this model. Rumors said it is either because of it's performance improvement or because of its release hours before Steve Jobs death, in honor to his name.

This being said, 2012's iPhone will be the Sixth Generation iPhone. Be aware that iOS 6.0 will also be released this year. When iPhone 4 was released, iOS 4.0 was also released.

Considering speculation or people wondering why an iPhone 5 was never released, the next iPhone might not be named iPhone 6 either following the criteria used on iPhone 4. But for sure, this next iPhone might not be known as iPhone 5, but as "The New iPhone" by itself.

Awesome Browser Being Awesome: Google Chrome for iOS

Time ago I remember myself trying to write an Objective-C program capable of basic Internet browsing. But I wanted it to implement the search bar just like Google Chrome does. Well I never finished that program due to other circumstances and just stick with Safari. I also tried Opera and Yahoo's browser. But none of them seem to have that smooth and neat feeling we have while on our PC's and using Google Chrome. I've been testing Google Chrome for a few hours now, and it's just great.

Starting out with basics, the interface at first looked to me similar to Yahoo's browser Axis. One of the things I like most is the ability to search using the same browser bar. That saves you some time, if you compare it with IE or Firefox while on a PC.

The second thing I liked about it, is that you still get to keep the ability to sync with other devices. You can share recently visited websites and bookmarks using your Google account.

Folders look nice and neat, they are pretty similar to what they look in Axis. Some people might find this not that useful, but I personally think it's good.

You even get the voice control experience. You can search the web using your voice, I'm wondering if this will ever be implemented using Siri.

YouTube also looks great, and you can just swipe off your tabs to get rid of those. Also, settings are opened on tabs just like Google for PC or Mac does.

Overall, I found it great but I noticed there was a huge thing that was not considered. Default Browsing. I however found an useful article through Redmond Pie providing a tweak for jailbroken devices. I hope that functions comes as default on future iOS releases. If you have a jailbroken device and would like to set Chrome (or any other browser as a default), do the following.

Go to Cydia and add this source: http://rpetri.ch/repo/. Then look for a tweak called BrowserChooser and install it.

Once installed, your device will respring and you should be able to find this through your Settings.

Verdades y Peligros de Comprar en Internet

Me llamó la atención escuchar por la mañana en la radio acerca de los mitos y verdades acerca de comprar en línea. Existe especulación con respecto a este tema, incluso escuche por parte de los locutores cosas irrelevantes al respecto. Dado que no me decidí a gastar minutos de mi línea de celular para aclararle algunas dudas, decidí hacer un post explicando algunas de las cosas básicas al momento de comprar en línea.

Primero que nada, debemos de morir a la idea de que nos van a robar. Es cierto que existen muchos riesgos en la web al compartir información financiera con algunos sitios. Escuchaba a la locutora de este programa que mencioné anteriormente, y realmente tenían un mal concepto con respecto a las compras a través de Internet.

Algunas de las Ventajas de Comprar en Internet

Existen muchos motivos por los que la gente compra en línea. Con gente me refiero a aquellos con ya varios años de experiencia en el área o aquellos arriesgados que han buscado un poco del cómo comprar y por qué. Estos son algunos de los motivos encontrados:

- Artículos Exclusivos

- Precios Preferentes

- Facilidad de Adquisición

- Productos Extranjeros

- Ahorro considerable sobre precios en establecimientos

Por otro lado existen desventajas. No debe existir el miedo a las compras en línea, realmente pueden ser muy seguras y satisfactorias. Sin embargo, debemos de poder discernir cuando una venta no es confiable.

Publicidad que solicita tu número de tarjeta o información personal para "verificar" si eres aplicable a un descuento, es un ejemplo de lo que puede ser una actividad fraudulenta. Sugiero ampliamente contratar un seguro contra fraudes a tarjetas de crédito, esto pues por una módica cantidad según el banco, puedes protegerte de ataques contra tu integridad financiera.

¿Qué hay que saber antes de comprar en línea?

Artículo de Necesidad: Creo que podríamos comenzar por algunos conceptos básicos del comprador impulsivo. Muchas de las veces que me ha tocado encontrarme con personas cercanas que enfrentan fraude a través de Internet, es debido a que compraron un artículo / servicio que realmente no necesitaban.

Garantías: Muchas veces nos dejamos llevar por los sitios web, con promesas acerca de qué vamos a recibir, pero en sí nunca obtenemos ninguna garantía. Antes de comprar, es bueno asegurarse que el medio por el que se está comprando cuente con garantía y protección al comprador. También es importante realizar transacciones y reclamos dentro del periodo de garantía.

Método de Pago. Yo personalmente acostumbro a utilizar una tarjeta de crédito limitada a compras por Internet. No que espere a que se cometa fraude, pero debido a que siempre existe un riesgo, cuento con esa cuenta limitada tanto en crédito como con una protección en contra de fraude. En caso de que hubiera un atentado, no me vería tan afectado en lo que el seguro resuelve el problema. Por otro lado, muchas personas utilizan tarjetas de débito, y en caso de un atentado estos se ven en apuros durante el proceso de resolución por parte de su institución financiera.

Seguro Bancario. Es bueno informarse de qué tipo de protección ofrece tu institución financiera. A algunas personas se les puede hacer inecesario o inservible. En lo personal, creo que es una buena inversión. Si no eres una persona la cual se va a dedicar a comprar en línea frecuentemente, posiblemente no lo necesites. Pero te puedo asegurar que la mayoría de las ocaciones, nos hacemos adictos a buscar artículos y promociones en línea.

Protección Adicional, PayPal®. Uno de los métodos más seguros para realizar compras a través de Internet, es por medio del sistema intermediario de PayPal®. Este es un servicio gratuito el cual te permite realizar pagos en diversos sitios web sin necesidad de ingresar la información de tu tarjeta de crédito o débito. Dado que es un servicio verificado, la transacción la realiza PayPal y no la institución financiera. En dado caso, PayPal hace el cobro y lo transfiere a la cuenta del beneficiario. PayPal además, provee a todos sus usuarios con una garantía contra fraude de 45 días.

¿Cómo realizar una compra en línea?

Buscar Sitios Web Adecuados. En México todavía carecemos de muchas actividades financieras a través de Internet. Estamos realmente en pañales en comparación con otros sitios web en el mundo. Sin embargo, eso no nos limita a poder realizar compras en sitios web extranjeros. Algunos de los sitios web de los que uno podría comprar, son los siguientes:

MercadoLibre es uno de los sitios más populares en México con respecto a las compras y ventas en línea. Existen muchos mitos con respecto a este popular sitio web, debido a que los testimonios con respecto a fraudes a través del mismo son muchos. Para considerar realizar una compra a través de MercadoLibre.com, se sugiere tener en cuenta lo siguiente:

· Reputación del vendedor.
· Método de pago (utilizar MercadoPago, o en efectivo a la entrega).
· Contar con seguro por parte de la institución financiera.
· Revisar comentarios negativos y positivos hacia el vendedor.
· Ubicación del vendedor.
· Tipo de artículos a la venta, y si el envío es coherente.

Anumex es un sitio jóven con una amplia variedad de productos y servicios. Para realizar compras a través del mismo, es altamente recomendable contactar al vendedor y establecer un punto venta. El sitio en sí no ofrece ninguna garantía, pero debido a que el servicio de publicación es gratuito para vendedores particulares, uno puede encontrar artículos a un precio muy por debajo de los que encontramos en establecimientos. No existe riesgo de fraude, pero hay que considerar lo siguiente:

· Las compras / ventas deben de ser realizadas en persona.
· Evitar hacer negocio con ventas que requieran ser enviadas. (No hay garantía a no ser que utilicen PayPal®).
· Al realizar el intercambio, hacerlo en un lugar público y seguro.
· Evitar transacciones a solas, siempre ir acompañado.
· La mayoría de los vendedores son particulares, por lo cual aceptan un “regateo” considerable.

eBay es una empresa fundada por Echo Bay Technologies. Actualmente una de las empresas más seguras, y poosedora de PayPal®. El sistema es muy similar al de MercadoLibre, y la mayoría de sus usuarios se encuentran en Estados Unidos, y Reino Unido. El sitio cuenta con varios idiomas, y muchos vendedores aceptan envíos internacionales tanto gratuitos como con costo según la prioridad. Lo que uno debe considerar al comprar en eBay es lo siguiente:

· La reputación del vendedor.
· La disponibilidad del envío.
· Si el vendedor acepta pagos fuera de su país de origen.
· Leer completamente la descripción del artículo. Venden muchos artículos que no sirven (los venden para partes).
· En caso de no estar clara la descripción, realizar preguntas.
· No existe garantía si al comprar un artículo el vendedor especifica los daños o defectos del artículo y estos se reclaman al llegar el mismo.

Amazon es una compañia que también ofrece servicio de ventas por Internet. El sitio web acepta en algunos artículos envíos fuera de los Estados Unidos. Dado que Amazon vende en su mayoria en calidad de empresa, muy posiblemente apliquen cargos de impuestos al ingresar el artículo al país. El sitio web cuenta con garantías al igual que eBay. Amazon ofrece a usuarios tanto vender como comprar, sin embargo Amazon cuenta con ventas por parte de su tienda en línea, es decir por ellos mismos.

Otro servicio importante y que uno debe de tener en cuenta además de los mencionados anteriormente, es que algunos sitios web cuentan con licencias conocidas como Verified Secured, o también Norton Secured. Este es un servicio por parte de Symantec® (Norton), los mismos que proveen seguridad anti-virus y prometen ciertas garantías al realizar transacciones en línea. Es importante verificar que exista el logotipo de Verified en los sitios web al realizar una transacción.

102 - Tipos de Datos y Operadores

Dentro de la programación estructurada, existen conceptos básicos que es necesario entenderlos antes de poder llevar a cabo un programa en cualquier lenguaje de programación. Estos realmente son conceptos muy básicos, pero dado a que muchas personas todavía carecen de estos conceptos, es mejor que sean repasados antes de indagarse en el mundo de la programación.

Comenzando con los tipos de datos. Estos son caracteres clasificados. Se clasifican según el tamaño a ocupar y el tipo de símbolos dentro de los mismos. En la gráfica se muestran algunos de los tipos de datos básicos que verás durante tu transcurso como programador en la mayoría de los lenguajes de programación.

Recordemos que también existen variables. Estas nos permiten almacenar los datos en la memoria RAM. Nosotros podemos asignar nombres y valores a nuestras variables. Por ejemplo, supongamos que deseamos crear una variable con el nombre de "nombreDeUsuario". El tipo de variable sería de tipo caracter (char) debido a que almacenaremos caracteres (letras).

En la imagen anterior vemos cuatro variables. Cada una con un tipo de dato, y cada una almacenando un valor específico según el tipo. En la programación existen diversas maneras de declarar y asignar valores a las variables. Según el lenguaje de programación, es según la sintaxis con la que podrás declarar una variable. Otro concepto básico e importante, son los operadores. Como su nombre lo menciona, son símbolos que nos permiten ejecutar una operación dentro de un programa. Estos son parte fundamental de la programación estructurada, y forman parte de la mayoría de los algoritmos que verás durante tu carrera.

Estos operadores serán utilizados conforme vayas avanzando en programación. Existen otros tipos de operadores utilizados para llamar a funciones, o a variables. Esto lo aprenderás según el lenguaje de programación con el que comienzes a programar.

Por otro lado, existen librerías de datos y funciones. Estas son como bibliotecas de datos que serán utilizados en el programa. Para ejemplificar cómo funcionan estas, supongamos que vamos a detallar un automóvil. Para detallarlo necesitamos elementos para lavado, aspirado y detallado.

Para el lavado necesitamos una esponja, trapo, y shampoo para carro. Para el aspirado necesitamos una aspiradora y sus extensiones. Para el detallado necesitaremos cera, estopa, y una pulidora. Si este fuera un programa, necesitaríamos importar las librerias de lavado, detallado y aspirado. Cada librería nos permitiría realizar una tarea según el contenido de la misma. Aprenderás más acerca de librerías una vez que comienzes a realizar prácticas de programación.

Días en los que uno espera mucho de alguien, días en los que uno prefiere estar cerca de los amigos, días en que buscas el consejo y no lo tienes. De alguna manera, no lo necesito. Costó mucho trabajo ganar su confianza. Aprendí mucho de él. Me enseñó a ser el mejor. Me enseñó que cuando las cosas están bien, todavía pueden estar mejor. El me ha dado apoyo moral. A él le llegué a confiar secretos muy grandes. A él le llegué a confesar cosas que me permitieron establecer una confianza mayor de la que ya teníamos. Un ejemplo a seguir. Un empresario que sin tener nada, logró lo que ningún otro. De ser duro, pasó a ser humilde. Un padre amoroso. Sincero y honesto. Un padre que dio ejemplo, no solo en la paternidad pero en lo profesional. Una inspiración en su momento. Defendió lo suyo. Llego a poner en su lugar al más duro. 1 - Operaciones Básicas de Programación, C++

En cualquier lenguaje de programación, tenemos la habilidad de poder realizar operaciones y funciones. Muchas de estas son operaciones lógicas simples. En C++, podemos desarrollar un programa que nos permita calcular desde sumas y restas, hasta operaciones algebraicas complejas. Es necesario entender cómo declarar estas operaciones para entonces poner a trabajar el criterio y realizar operaciones avanzadas.

En C++ y en cualquier lenguaje de programación, tenemos que "declarar" variables. Para poner un ejemplo sencillo, digamos que una variable es como un desarmador. Al declarar la variable, nos referimos a que pondremos el desarmador en nuestra mesa de trabajo. En caso de necesitar el desarmador, solamente necesitamos agarrarlo y utilizarlo para lo que fue creado.

En la programación sería algo similar. Digamos que queremos declarar una variable sin valor. La variable puede tener diferentes tipos de datos dentro de sí. Según para lo que vayamos a utilizar la variable, es según el tipo de dato a utilizar. Estos pueden ser letras, palabras, números, fechas, etc. Para los ejemplos que veremos en este tutorial, solamente utilizaremos números enteros. El tipo de dato son conocidos como "int", derivado de "integer" en inglés que significa enteros.

En la imagen anterior estamos declarando una variable con el nombre "variable" de tipo "int" o número entero. La variable no tiene ningún valor.

Recordemos que todas nuestras operaciones deben de ser incluidas dentro del "main" de nuestro programa, al menos por ahora. En C++ es necesario que declaremos nuestro main. En este caso decidimos utilzar int main (). Más adelante aprenderás qué tipos de valores pueden haber dentro de un main, por el momento solamente nos enfocaremos en la declaración de variables.

Nos olvidaremos de la variable "variable" y crearemos unas cuantas variables con valor. En este caso nuestras variables se llamarán "x" y "y". Ambas con valor númerico de 5. Recordemos que solamente podemos ingresar números enteros.

Posteriormente, declararemos cuatro variables. A diferencia de las dos anteriores, estas variables utilizarán los valores ingresados en "x" y en "y" para retornar un resultado. Dado que las variables anteriores son de tipo "int", estas deberán de ser de igual manera.

En caso de haber querido insertar valores con decimales (float por ejemplo) dentro de una de estas variables, nos hubiera retornado un error dado que todas estas variables son de tipo "int". Veamos como funcionan estas variables que cabamos de declarar. Nosotros podemos imprimir directamente una operación utilizando los valores de "x" y de "y" como se muestra a continuación.

El resultado nos retornaría un 10 en pantalla. Le estamos pidiendo a la función cout, que imprima el texto "Suma: ", y que posteriormente imprima el valor de la suma de "x" y de "y". También podemos solamente ingresar el valor de la variable que declaramos con nombre de "suma".

También podemos utilizar los resultados de la operación dentro de una variable como se muestra a continuación.

El resultado nos retornaría un 250, sería como decir ( 5 + 5 ) x ( 5 x 5 ) = ( 10 ) x ( 25 ) = 250. La manera en como se ejecutan las operaciones en C++ es de la misma manera en que nosotros conocemos el órden de las mismas. Es decir, primero resolverá paréntesis, después exponentes o raíces, después multiplicación o división, y al último sumas o restas.

Al final, podremos tener un código como se muestra en la imagen:

El resultado en pantalla deberá verse así.

En caso de tener dudas o problemas escribiendo el programa, te sugiero te relajes y busques dónde podrá estar el error. El programa deberá correr según el compilador que utilicemos. Es muy fácil perder una coma u olvidar una corchea. Al utilizar la consola, posiblemente nos diga dónde estuvo el error.

101 - Introducción a la Programación

La computación ha sido uno de los mayores logros en la ciencia de hoy en día. Gracias al descubrimiento de la misma, millones de bytes pueden viajar por medio de un cable de fibra óptica a través de un replicador o transmisor hasta tu computadora o teléfono móvil.

Para lograr cosas complejas, se puede utilizar una programación simple. De igual manera, uno puede crear algoritmos programables complejos para realizar tareas sencillas.

Asumiendo que estas interesado en este artículo es porque estas estudiando una rama profesional relacionado con ciencias computacionales o ingeniería. Asumimos también que tienes una módica idea de cómo funciona un programa.

Un programa se define como un conjunto de instrucciones realizadas por un ordenador (computadora), estas instrucciones permiten realizar una o más tareas.

Dentro de la programación, las instrucciones son escritas en lo que conocemos como “líneas de programación”. Estas instrucciones son escritas dentro de un programa, a estos programas para hacer programas se les conoce como compiladores.

La función principal de un compilador, es traducir un programa en un determinado lenguaje de programación, a otro lenguaje de programación. Como resultado nos permite generar un programa mismo que la computadora nos permitirá ejecutar.

Por lo general, el lenguaje al que estos “programas” son traducidos, es a lenguaje máquina. Este permite que el programa sea mostrado en la pantalla de nuestros monitores.

Más adelante publicaré un artículo llamado “Malas Prácticas de Programación” y “Entendiendo la Ejecución de Procesos de un Sistema Operativo”. Sugiero sean leídas para una mejor comprensión a fin de prevenir errores de programación a futuro.

Comencemos con entender el orden en que un programa leería las instrucciones. Para este ejemplo utilizaremos un compilador llamado Eclipse, y el lenguaje de programación será Java.

En la imagen que vemos abajo, se ve un cuadro de texto del compilador Eclipse para Mac. Este cuadro que vemos tiene como nombre Sample01.java. Este cuadro nos esta enseñando una “Clase”.

Por el momento no te preocupes de entender qué es una Clase, solamente nos enfocaremos en donde se encuentra sombreado de color azul. Esta es la línea número 10.

En la imagen que vemos abajo, se ve un cuadro de texto del compilador Dev-C++ para Windows. Este cuadro que vemos tiene como nombre 101.cpp. Este cuadro nos esta enseñando lo que es similar a una clase en Java, pero en C++.

A diferencia de Java o compiladores como NetBeans y Eclipse, en Dev-C++ y por lo general para el lenguaje C++ necesitamos escribir por nuestra cuenta lo que se muestra en la imagen. En caso de estar trabajando con C++, no te preocupes por entender qué es cada cosa, solamente enfocate en copiar tal cual esta en la imagen. Lo sombreado de color verde turquesa será donde corramos nuestro programa.

A continuación, escribiremos una instrucción básica. La instrucción que mandaremos a llamar permite “imprimir” en pantalla lo que nosotros le digamos que imprima. Utilizaremos la siguiente instrucción:

System.out.println() para Java, y cout << "" << endl para C++. Estos comandos nos permiten imprimir sobre una línea una instrucción o el resultado de una instrucción. En este caso, ponemos entre comillas (“”) el texto que deseemos que se imprima en pantalla. Nuestra clase deberá de verse así:

IMPORTANTE: En C++ las instrucciones son por lo general escritas en minúsculas. Los espacios entre palabra o función no afectan la funcionabilidad del programa. Se recomienda como buena práctica dejar espacios necesarios para la fácil lectura del código. En Java, muchas funciones están definidas con palabras que comienzan con mayúsculas, es necesario familiarizarse con ellas a través de la práctica.

Posteriormente utilizaremos la función del compilador para compilar y correr el programa. En consola veremos la instrucción que le dimos al programa.

Con eso, habremos creado nuestro primer programa funcional. El programa solamente imprime el texto “Bienvenido a iDevel0p, Hola Mundo!”. Sin embargo con eso tenemos una idea de cómo funciona un programa a base de instrucciones.

También tenemos la posibilidad de utilizar "\n" dentro de un texto para espaciar por lineas. Por ejemplo, en lugar de utilizar la instrucción anterior, utilizaremos la siguiente:

IMPORTANTE: La mayoría de las veces creemos que por utilizar Java, C++, Phyton, Objective-C, u otro lenguaje de programación no entenderemos las instrucciones. Dentro de la programación, lo importante es entender cómo se estructura un programa y cómo se ejecuta. Una vez dominando esto, lo demás será solamente cuestión de acostumbrarse al lenguaje y al compilador.

Me encuentro "posteando" desde la aplicación de Blogger para el iPhone. Es una aplicación practica pero algo complicada. En mi opinión, debería de haber una manera mas sencilla de escribir artículos.

De cualquier manera seguiré probando otras aplicaciones, Blogger en si te permite usar múltiples plataformas o diferentes blogs dentro de la misma aplicación.

Wait is Over! Untethered Jailbreak 5.0/5.0.1 on iPhone 4S and iPad 2 Using Absinthe

For some of us it took a while but the wait is over here. Thanks to pod2g, Chronic Dev-Team and other important contributors for the release of Absinthe for Mac. This tool allows you to Jailbreak your A5-based processor device such as iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Check it out now!

For you to jailbreak your device, do the following:

1) Plug your device into your Mac, you must be on iOS 5.0/5.0.1.

2) Download Absinthe from this link, and open it.

3) Backup your device content. We don't expect any issues, but we must be sure before proceeding.

4) Wait for the process to finish, this is going to take a few minutes. Just be patient (do not cancel!). UPDATE: Your device will reboot a few times. Wait for Absinthe progress bar to be completed.

5) The Absinthe logo should be added to your device home screen. Do not unplug your device yet. Open it and install Cydia. If you get an error message, it could be due to the huge demand. Be patient and try again later.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: If by opening the Absinthe icon on your iPhone nothing happens, go to Settings > General > Network > VPN and turn it ON. An error message will come up, click OK. Then click on the VPN Setting Listed as "Jailbreak" and your device will reboot. Wait for the device to reboot and Cydia should be added to your Springboard.

ANOTHER UPDATE: My camera roll pictures disappeared. If that happens to you, plug your device back in. In fact, do not unplug your device during the whole process.

Why Was Megaupload on Feds' Priority List Against Other File-Sharing Sites?

The whole Megaupload controversy has certainly filled the web with gigabytes of news and information updated everyday. I've seen people rumoring about why other sites haven't been shut down yet? Or why was Megaupload on top of feds' list?

Megaupload different from other file-sharing sites, offered different services that were mostly used for "piracy" according to their prosecutors. In our opinion, it's not about censoring a site or putting in people in jail for letting other people share their little investment and upload it so that other people see it.

Federal Government says Megaupload administrators shouldn't have let people use the site on that purpose first. But it's not something you can actually manage, let's face it. US Government being the so called perfect form of country administration, has their downsides too.

Closing a website and putting people in jail just because they let other people share illegally from their perspective, is just as destroying a country and putting people in jail for letting crimes pass by. In 2004, there was an average of 44.5 murders per day in the US (source). Why wasn't the US Government judged for letting that happen? Isn't the US supposed to be in charge of preventing that from happening?

You could think about them doing something to prevent it. And that's reasonable. But it isn't if you look at the point of view where is not about a site or country management, but the people in it. True fact is, you can't stop piracy. Not by closing a website, or by censoring the Internet. If you look at this from this way, I can just go and buy a CD from a music store and let other people borrow it. Who would know I did that?

The best thing to fight against piracy, or file-sharing, is to change the entire's world perspective of principles and values. That's something you definitively can't change by censoring the Internet. Record Companies should be looking into a different way of making money other than just selling the product itself.

Apple did a great job with the iTunes Store, and people really use it and take advantage of that. It's much neater than going to a store and buy a CD, in fact, you end up transferring the CD back to your iTunes Library. Record Companies letting time pass because of people promoting piracy, and just sitting there waiting for people to buy their albums, is just as mediocre as sitting and waiting for money to come down from heaven by doing nothing.

Even taking it from a religious views, most religions promote that you do something so that you get something. Why aren't record labels doing something to get money out of it? I'm not saying buying a record is not necessary, but I'd do something more to get people's attention, therefore people's money.

I've seen some posts in the Internet regarding why was Megaupload on top of everyone's lists. Other people saying why they haven't shut down other sites like 4Shared, or Mediafire. One of the reasons is, Megaupload gave the ability to share files without an account, and you had a 2 GB limit. If you opened a free account, they gave up to 200 GB storage. Going with a Premium account, you had unlimited storage.

Other sites limit you up to much less than that, and of course you can't share an entire TV season with 2 GB of limit. That's what made Megaupload popular against other sites, therefore, being on top of record label companies list and federal government too.

Just minutes after Megaupload's site being taken down, Anonymous is taking its personal payback against record companies and government dependencies by taking their sites down. You can also see the official Megaupload Court's Indictment here.

Anonymous suggests all participants and affiliates to take safety precautions as these guys are dealing with government end sites, which could imply in legal actions. We will keep you informed about upcoming events today. As of now, some sites are going back online.

Federal Government Shuts Megaupload Down, CEO Taking it Slowly

One of the world largest file-sharing sites has been shut down for infringing copyright laws. Federal prosecutors in Virgina decided to shut down, claiming the site promotes pirated material. Administrative staff from the mentioned website are to be turned in to the law, and according to sources, there are four members already captured in New Zealand.

In other facts, Megaupload's CEO Kasseem Dean (A.K.A. Swizz Beatz) has shown no interest or worries about the recent accusations. His Twitter Account was recently updated, and there seems to be no comments regarding the site's shut down.

Wikipedia Blacks Out in Protest Against SOPA!

Wikipedia has decided to protest against SOPA law. iDevel0p shares their motivations and would like to share the information given by Wikipedia. Wikipedia is protesting against SOPA and PIPA by blacking out the English Wikipedia for 24 hours, beginning at midnight January 18, Eastern Time. Readers who come to English Wikipedia during the blackout will not be able to read the encyclopedia. Instead, you will see messages intended to raise awareness about SOPA and PIPA, encouraging you to share your views with your representatives, and with each other on social media.

What are SOPA and PIPA?

SOPA and PIPA represent two bills in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate respectively. SOPA is short for the "Stop Online Piracy Act," and PIPA is an acronym for the "Protect IP Act." ("IP" stands for "intellectual property.") In short, these bills are efforts to stop copyright infringement committed by foreign web sites, but, in our opinion, they do so in a way that actually infringes free expression while harming the Internet. Detailed information about these bills can be found in the Stop Online Piracy Act and PROTECT IP Act articles on Wikipedia, which are available during the blackout. GovTrack lets you follow both bills through the legislative process: SOPA on this page, and PIPA on this one. Why is the blackout happening?

Wikipedians have chosen to black out the English Wikipedia for the first time ever, because we are concerned that SOPA and PIPA will severely inhibit people's access to online information. This is not a problem that will solely affect people in the United States: it will affect everyone around the world.

Why? SOPA and PIPA are badly drafted legislation that won't be effective at their stated goal (to stop copyright infringement), and will cause serious damage to the free and open Internet. They put the burden on website owners to police user-contributed material and call for the unnecessary blocking of entire sites. Small sites won't have sufficient resources to defend themselves. Big media companies may seek to cut off funding sources for their foreign competitors, even if copyright isn't being infringed. Foreign sites will be blacklisted, which means they won't show up in major search engines. And, SOPA and PIPA build a framework for future restrictions and suppression.

Does this mean that Wikipedia itself is violating copyright laws, or hosting pirated content?

No, not at all. Some supporters of SOPA and PIPA characterize everyone who opposes them as cavalier about copyright, but that is not accurate. Wikipedians are knowledgeable about copyright and vigilant in protecting against violations: Wikipedians spend thousands of hours every week reviewing and removing infringing content. We are careful about it because our mission is to share knowledge freely. To that end, all Wikipedians release their contributions under a free license, and all the material we offer is freely licensed. Free licenses are incompatible with copyright infringement, and so infringement is not tolerated.

Isn't SOPA dead? Wasn't the bill shelved, and didn't the White House declare that it won't sign anything that resembles the current bill?

No, neither SOPA nor PIPA is dead. On January 17th, SOPA's sponsor said the bill will be discussed in early February. There are signs PIPA may be debated on the Senate floor next week. Moreover, SOPA and PIPA are just indicators of a much broader problem. In many jurisdictions around the world, we're seeing the development of legislation that prioritizes overly-broad copyright enforcement laws, laws promoted by power players, over the preservation of individual civil liberties.

How could SOPA and PIPA hurt Wikipedia?

SOPA and PIPA are a threat to Wikipedia in many ways. For example, in its current form, SOPA would require Wikipedia to actively monitor every site we link to, to ensure it doesn't host infringing content. Any link to an infringing site could put us in jeopardy of being forced offline.

The most effective action you can take is to call your representatives and tell them you oppose SOPA and PIPA, and any similar legislation. Type your zipcode in the locator box to find your representatives' contact information. Text-based communication is okay, but phone calls have the most impact.

Contact your local State Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or similar branch of government. Tell them you oppose SOPA and PIPA, and any similar legislation. Calling your own government will also let them know you don't want them to create their own bad anti-Internet legislation.

Is it still possible to access Wikipedia in any way?

Yes. During the blackout, Wikipedia is accessible on mobile devices and smart phones. You can also view Wikipedia normally by disabling JavaScript in your browser, as explained on this Technical FAQ page. Our purpose here isn't to make it completely impossible for people to read Wikipedia, and it's okay for you to circumvent the blackout. We just want to make sure you see our message.

I keep hearing that this is a fight between Hollywood and Silicon Valley. Is that true?

No. Some people are characterizing it that way, probably in an effort to imply all the participants are motivated by commercial self-interest. But it's obviously not that simple. The proof of that is Wikipedia's involvement. Wikipedia has no financial self-interest at play here: we do not benefit from copyright infringement, nor are we trying to monetize traffic or sell ads. We are protesting to raise awareness about SOPA and PIPA solely because we think they will hurt the Internet, and your ability to access information online. We are doing this for you, because we're on your side.

In carrying out this protest, is Wikipedia abandoning neutrality?

We hope you continue to trust Wikipedia to be a neutral information source. We are staging this blackout because (as Wikimedia Foundation Trustee Kat Walsh said recently), although Wikipedia’s articles are neutral, its existence is not. iPhone 4S Signal Issues!

It has come to my attention that after the release of firmware build 9A406 for iPhone 4S, some users are still experiencing issues with the "no service" or "invalid SIM". Well I am currently facing issues with it, and just upgraded and restored to factory settings with no luck.

I somehow realized that using regular standard SIM cards works however. It only fails when using Micro SIM cards. I tested my MicroSIM in another iPhone 4 and it works fine. Testing a known good MicroSim fails too. And testing a regular but cut standard SIM works in my iPhone 4s.

I will be researching on this throughout the week to determine the root of the problem. In the meantime we have contacted the Dev Team to attempt to get any information from them. If you have any feedback, please tweet me to my twitter account here.

Super Jump World. A Game Inspired By So Famous Super Mario World

I have been browsing apps inside the iTunes App Store, and yesterday I noticed a top downloaded game which turns to be a very similar copy to what we know as Super Mario World. The game itself is entertaining, but there's some features missing that are obvious to be found in the original game.

Some people might not like this game, as seems to be a cheap (which is actually free) copy of Super Mario Bros. But at the end, it's a very fun game with Game Boy Advance graphics. I would really love to see Nintendo games in the way to iOS devices and into the app store.

I believe there's a huge market for Nintendo based games such as Zelda, Pokemon, Castlevania, and other excellent game titles that marked every game player's life in the past.

Untethered Jailbreak for iPhone 4s and iPad 2 Ahead!

Earlier today, pod2g released in his twitter account an update about A5 based jailbreak, which apparently might be released next week. This is such great news considering those of us who happen to have an iPhone 4s and are relying on an upcoming jailbreak ever since we owned it. This also applies for iPad 2 users.

This certainly means we will be looking at a release real soon. We will be updating the blog as soon as we hear from it. With his confirmation for A5 users to upgrade to iOS 5.0.1, we're closer to the other side.

For those who don't know who pod2g is, he is the one who found the key in releasing an untethered jailbreak for A4 devices running iOS 5.0.1. An a tethered jailbreak means you rely on a computer to turn your device back on if you ever turn it off. An untethered jailbreak does not require that, and opposite it works just as the original stock iOS. You can follow pod2g on twitter here.

Jailbreak 5.0.1 Untethered for iPhone, iPod or iPad Released (How To)

We have all waited for this day to come for a few months now. The wait ends here as you can finally jailbreak any iOS device running 5.0.1. Regrettably, this is not compatible with A5 Processor Based devices such as the iPhone 4s, or iPad 2. In order to proceed, check this out.

Developers have made a great job on developing these methods. Make sure iTunes is up to date in any case before proceeding. After that, you can do any of the following:

Devices Already Jailbroken in Tethered iOS 5.0.1

1. Open Cydia and Search for a Package called "Corona 5.0.1 Untether" and install it.

Your device will now be safe to reboot, and you should be in an untethered jailbreak. As simple as that you can enjoy it.

Devices Running iOS 5.0.1 Without Jailbreak

1. Download the latest Redsn0w for Windows or Mac.

2. Update your device o iOS 5.0.1 using iTunes.

3. Once completed, start Redsn0w and hit "Jailbreak". Follow the on-screen instructions. Once prompted, select "Install Cydia".

4. Wait for Redsn0w to apply the full untethered Jailbreak.

Devices that rely on carrier unlock!

If you rely on a carrier unlock, you must preserve your old baseband. This works only if you're running on any firmware below 5.0 (4.3.3 for instance). To preserve your baseband, use the Custom IPSW mode in Redsn0w.

Jailbreak 5.0.1 Semi-Tether The Easy Way with Ac1dSn0w

During the weekend, I received an iPhone 4 so that I could run some tests and upgrade from 4.3 to 5.0.1. The phone itself seemed to be sluggish while on 4.3, I did notice that iOS 5.0 improved graphics experience and motion sense when I upgraded my 3Gs from 4.2.1 to 5.0 a few months ago. The jailbreak process is so simple, that I was able to jailbreak while I was waiting for a IPSW file to be downloaded.

I did checked a few online tools, including the so-called famous Redsn0w but I had to download iOS 5.0 in order to complete the jailbreak. Please note I tried this on Friday, just hours before the latest Redsn0w was released. The latest Redsn0w 0.9.9b9b has the ability to jailbreak without requiring iOS 5.0.1.

That could have saved some time but I'm glad I was able to use other tools. I'm sometimes skeptical when using tools not developed by the traditional developers. The tool I used and is so famous now, is called Ac1dSn0w, you can download it here.

Once you have downloaded Ac1dsn0w, follow this instructions (Mac Only):

1. Open Ac1dSn0w and you will get to this screen:

2. Click both "Show Console" and "Show Assistant" so that you get an idea of what's happening.

3. Connect the device to your Mac. The device should be on and plugged into the computer. According to the Ac1dSn0w instructions, you should turn the device off and use the DFU mode assistant. It did not work in my case, if it works in yours feel free to do it that way, I think that's unnecessary, so just continue to step 4.

4. Place your device in DFU mode. To enter in DFU mode, your device should be plugged in and on. Then press and hold both power/lock and home button for 10 clock seconds. On 11th second, release the power/lock button without releasing the home button. The device screen should be blank and the device will be found as in "recovery mode". That's DFU.

5. Once in DFU, hit the Jailbreak Button from Ac1dSn0w. It will take a few minutes, the device will reboot. Once it reboots you won't see Cydia installed, that's OK. Continue to step 6.

6. Place your device in DFU mode again, and hit the Tethered Boot button from Ac1dSn0w. Your device will reboot and Cydia will be installed (blank logo).

7. Cydia will cache all files and restart itself. Wait for it to do everything itself, don't do anything but to wait.

8. Once Cydia has completed, you will be taken to the lock screen, go back and re-open Cydia. Then update all essential updates (not complete updates).

9. Once everything is updated, go to Sources and add this source: http://thebigboss.org/semitether as a repository. If you get an error, remove the repository and add it again.

10. Search for a package called "Semitether" in Cydia, and install it.

After all this, you should be all set running your device in iOS 5.0.1. If you are required to reboot your device you will be able to do so. However, you won't be able to use jailbroken required apps, Mail, Safari, or Cydia. If you accidentally reboot your device, you will need to DFU and booth tethered using Ac1dsn0w so that you can use these apps.
