The so-called gay conversion therapy has been denounced by the scientific and medical communities as ineffective, and potentially dangerous, but an investigation earlier this month exposed that this hateful practice is used by the "Quality Christian Counseling Clinic" owned by Michele Bachmann and her husband -- a clinic which was recently discovered to have received over $137,000 in federal Medicaid funds, in addition to $24,000 in other state and federal funds.

Bachmann, after denying for years the hokey Quality Christian Counseling Clinic practiced ex-gay therapy, to pray the gay away, we now learn that it is being done at our expense. Our taxpayer dollars shouldn't be funding it.

I just signed a petition asking The Dept. of Health and Human Services, which oversees Medicaid, and the Minnesota Dept. of Health, which distributes the funds within the state, to immediately pull public funds from Bachmann's clinic.

She would not take our advice to stop feeding her dog chocolate when we showed her in writing what Veterinarians all over the world had written about how dangerous it was to dogs and what a painful death it would bring to a dog allowed to eat chocolate. Yet she reads and believes every word in the bible with no proof, evidence, or familiarity of the author. As such, she sat by and watched as not one, but two beloved pets of hers died the most horrible, painful, unnecessary deaths they could while she prayed to jesus for their recovery. In its infinite wisdom, the Vatican has released a ridiculous document that not only assigns a rating system to the sexual abuses of which it has been and regularly is accused and associated, but it has neglected to include its own practice of relocating the accused to continue their abuse, nor has it promised the adoption of a one-strike-and-you're-out policy and a mandatory report to the police, but it has included that the assignment of women clergy is a "grave crime" seemingly tantamount to the priests' sex abuse. Why does anyone pay attention to these people on any level? Have they not made themselves more important than the situation at hand enough times throughout history for their followers to notice how wrong-headed this religion is? Organized religion in general is a senseless, selfish, sexist scourge against humanity with no compassion for the rights of man, but more so than any other stands alone by choice and emphatically unapologetically is the Catholic Church.

It's refreshing to see a priest break his vows by having consensual sex for a change -- with an adult of all people! The adults with whom he was having this vow breaking sex were male escorts with expensive taste. Of course, it was done at the expense of his trusting parishioners to the tune of over a million dollars. So that's his vow of chastity and his vow of poverty, hmmm, I guess that makes obedience toast too, huh?.
