Whenever I shoot a wedding or a portrait session I am always asked what camera I use. I use Canon EOS cameras as they are easy to use, 100% reliable and I find the colour quality is very, very accurate. I have used my Canon EOS equipment to regularly produce many, many images and therefore use it generate income regularly. This is why I use Canon EOS as it is great quality equipment. All the images on this site and on the website is using Canon EOS equipment. I hope this helps many many people buying Canon EOS camera's this Christmas.

More family portraits being done across September as the wedding season slows up a little.

Congratulations to Glyn & Natalie Jones who were married at the Welshpool Register Office with a reception at Argae Hall afterwards. It was a mixed day of weather with bright sunshine, overcast and then heavy fine rain.Images are now online!

I was delighted to hear on 9th September that I had received the 'L' Qualification grade with the SWPP. This is a standard set by the professional trade body, whereby they have assessed work to be to a professional standard and the photographer has submitted images via a mentoring scheme to attain that standard. In the current economic climate, I believe that this a serious consideration when choosing your photographer as there is no longer a barrier to entry to market yourself as a photographer and obtain the equipment required to undertake the role. I am now one of a handful of Photographers shown as qualified with the SWPP in the Shropshire area.

August is now here, with a well deserved two week break in Florida, I had the opportunity to photograph other things, INCLUDING MICKEY MOUSE!!

Congratulations to Dave & Suzanne Breeze who were married at Holy Trinity Church, Meole Brace followed by an evening reception at Albright Hussey. The images are now online!

Then followed a family portrait following the birth of a baby girl for one of our previous wedding clients. All wedding clients who subsequently have a baby are entitled to a free 1st baby shoot.

A really busy period through July now, with weddings and portraits and more weddings!
First up was a wedding on 9th July. Congratulations to Andy & Sandie Gilbert who were married at St Oswalds Church, Oswestry, followed by a reception at the Wynnstay Hotel Oswestry. A glorious day and a nice select gathering of guests. Images are now online!

Then a family portrait shoot on location at Whittington Castle with rain and fun coaxing small children to have their photo taken. Great images despite the awful weather conditions.

Congratulations to Ben & Becky Sutcliffe who were married at the Sweeney Hall Hotel, Oswestry. A cracking venue where a select number of guest enjoyed a glorious day in the grounds of Sweeney Hall, followed by a lovely evening where we captured some more photos of the first dance and some studio type shots of the guests throughout the evening. Images are now online.

Congratulations to Mark & Tanya Harris who were married at the Selattyn Church, Selattyn, Oswestry. A beautiful rural village where a full military style wedding took place. Not even an accident blocking the road could stop the beautfiul horse and carriage arriving albeit it a little late! The reception followed at the brides parents, where a superb marquee was set up for the eveing. Images are now online.

Congratulations to Ifan & Ffion Evans who were married at Grygynog Hall, Tregynon, Powys on 31st December 2010. With 200 guests and family it was to prove a great day and night when a further 250 guests arrived for the evening at Llanfair Caerinion Lesiure centre whch had had the sports hall transformed into the inside of a margquee! A busy day and night all round. The images are now online!

Photographing Aber Falls - Conwy

I recently went up to Aber Falls, Conwy to photograph a beautiful water fall which was pretty difficult to get close as the heavy rain had made the waterfall seriously heavy. It was difficult to get an image due to the massive amount of spray coming into the lens. But all told it is a great venue for landscape photography and an enjoyable walk to boot! Heres one of the waterfall and me trying to get a photo without getting wet!
