How much difference do I make?

I like that I recycle as much of my rubbish as I can. I like that people appreciate having a door held open for them or a getting a genuine smile and some manners as I go about my day. I like that I don't annoy or hold up other drivers on the motorway by driving properly. I even like it that other people are better than me at organising the community where I live and getting things done - so I help out wherever I'm required or requested to.

But I have no idea if the small things I do to make others and myself feel better or make small improvements around my world are really making any difference.

How much difference can I make?

I also know I'd like to do more. I'm busy, life is hectic. I've done some volunteering in the past and enjoyed it. I'm sure I'll do some again, but I can't always keep it up or find the time. I'm sure there's loads of little things I could do around where I live and through my day that would improve things, even if just a little.

I went into a Real Junk Food Cafe in town the other day. It had some good reviews and I know food wastage is a massive problem. The food was lovely and it was good to know I'd helped in some way.

It did make me wonder; with the littles things I do when I can, what if everyone did?

I'm not sure how blogs get found or read, but if anyone does find themselves reading this, I'd love to know what things you do, small or large, that you feel make a difference? And how much of a difference it would make if everyone did them?
