On the internet today, there seems to be an almost overwhelming number of marketing strategies you can use to promote your MLM home business. There is one free mlm tool that you can use to generate cheap mlm leads for free. This tool is Squidoo.

Squidoo is a social network marketing site that continues to grow by leaps and bounds. With Squidoo, all you do is create a lens. A lens is like a mini-website. Once your lens is created, simply put in content that you know folks in your niche will love and rave about. The more helpful your lens, the more popular it will be and the higher it will get ranked by your peers.
Before you join Squidoo and create your first lens, keep this in mind:

-Make sure you invest time and effort in building lenses that will have folks all over the net talking about them.

-Do most of your work by hand instead of automating it; in other words, no putting out thousands of junk pages with software to just to get more inbound links.

-Keep a long term view. Your lenses may not bring you huge amounts of traffic like the #1 spots on Google, but the kind you get will be human and very targeted.

Got it? Good. Now here are the Squidoo secrets you need to use to generate cheap mlm leads (meaning free!).

-Secret #1: Make your lens useful and informative. If you know your niche well, make sure your lens gives them what they want. If you do this, they will keep coming back.

Don’t make your lens a one-stop-shop, but more a guide book which leads to a collection of the best. By this I mean your lens should have the most appropriate and useful informative gathered from resources around the Web related to your mlm product or service.

Secret #2: Make your lens remarkable. Remember, using Squidoo is a great free mlm tool that you can use to generate leads and build relationships. Try to find a way to make it stand out from other similar lenses.

Secret #3: Share it! If you are one who participates in forums, write articles, participate in online groups, blog, have a regular email address, etc. , have a signature line that points to your lens. Make it interesting enough so that people will want to click.

Secret #4: Request ratings. What happens with Squidoo is that if many people rate your lens, it causes your rankings to rise very quickly. You can get ratings by asking visitors to rate, and in your signature file (as discussed above, also put a blub about ranking it). You can also surf around Squidoo for lenses that are related to your topic. When you find a high ranked lens, rate it and then invite the lens maker to visit yours and rate it as well. Secret #5: Don’t let your lens stagnate. What happens is if you make no updates to your lens for too long, it will slowly drop in rankings. Also, if you add new modules from time to tome, rankings improve as well. You can also write a short article (250-300 words works best), throw in a few new links, etc. Just keep things moving and growing.

Secret # 6: Get those links. You will need to market your lens just like any other website. A good way to do this is by getting links. You can get links a number of ways such as by writing articles related to your lens topic and with the same keywords, blog posts, submitting to link directories, classified ads, etc. The list is almost endless!

Secret #7: Use social bookmarking services. This is a must as Squidoo put links to them near the top of your lens. You can use sites such as Del.icio.us, Digg, etc.

Secret #8: Create a newsworthy lens. Is there anything “newsy” about your lens? You very well could create some sort of “angle” and then use it to talk to the media through a means such as a press release. If your lens isn’t “newsy” yet, you can build one just for the press and then link it back to your main lens. Pick a hot topic and you never know what will happen!

It's a waste of time and money. Search engines

save your money and never submit your site.

plenty of people who will do the job for you.

Unsafe email marketing is a method many people foolishly
try, thinking it will yield big money fast. When you send an
UNSOLICITED EMAIL to someone -- when you invite yourself
into someone`s emailbox without invitation or permission --
that`s called SPAM.

If the people receiving your messages have no interest in
your offer, or they simply don`t know you and don`t want to
know you, chances are they`re tossing your message into the
trash bin and you`re tossing your marketing dollars down the
toilet. Sending spam -- and that`s exactly how your
unsolicited message will be reviewed, regardless of the
value of your offer -- gives your business a black eye and
damages your reputation...and the "kicker" is: it doesn`t`
improve business!

=> EMAIL ON STEROIDS - BULKING UP IS BAD

Conducting a marketing campaign using BULK EMAIL will
manifest the same results as spam.

You may have seen ads that say, "1000000 email addresses for
only $29.95." Don`t fall for that. You`re only going to get
spam complaints and your ISP connection may be shut down!

The reason for this is that most all of the bulk mail lists
you see being advertised online are nothing but a list of
email addresses that have been harvested from websites all
over the Internet. These addresses and are then sold again
and again as "targeted" bulk email.

WARNING: The only "target" here is your money! You MUST
stay away from these bulk lists. They`re a waste. Remember
that a list that`s advertised as "Targeted" is probably not
accurate, reliable or safe.

If you were marketing a revolutionary new gardening tool,
would you send 10000 direct mail pieces to names randomly
snatched from the phonebook?

Or ...

Would it be wiser to send your offer a mailing list of
people who have recently purchased gardening tools and
products through mail order?

=> BULLSEYE NOT BULL

No legitimate businessperson would ever send thousands of
emails to random people culled from the Internet. Bulk
mailing is unprofessional and makes you look bad.

Bulk mailing can make your bottom line look bad, too. You
want to do more than hit your target, you want to hit a
bullseye on that target. Bulk lists aren`t the answer.
When you do a direct email or direct mail campaign to a
RESPECTABLE rental list, if the people on the list have
never heard of you before (called a COLD LIST),
statistically, you`re likely to get a .005% response or
less.

Does this mean that email campaigns are doomed before they
start? No at all. As long as you use emails that are safe,
you won`t be sorry.

So keep your eyes peeled for your next lesson -- the SAFE
way to Email

It's really important for MSN and Yahoo, and plays a part

Here are some easy tips to get start with.

- your page title is the most important factor so make
sure you spend time on it and get it right

- don't name all of your pages the same (I have seen this
so many times - the SEs will flag this as duplicate
content and you can wave bye-bye to your website)

- ensure you use your meta-description tag - put some
additional keywords in it - you'll rank for those

- don't target the really big search terms because you will
have no chance for ranking for these - so why do it?

- target terms people are actually searching for and
don't have much competition..

=> Step #1 - WHO DO YOU THINK YOU`RE TALKING TO?

Before you sit down to write your email sales letter, you`ve
got to determine exactly who your audience is. This is a
master key to getting results from email marketing.

Ask yourself these questions:

- What do your prospects/customers want?
- What frustrates your prospects/customers most?
- Who else is selling something similar to you?
- Why should your prospects/customers believe you?
- Why should prospects/customers respond to you instead of
someone else?
- What kind of appeals will your target market respond to?

=> Step #2 - A GREAT SUBJECT IS YOUR OBJECT

Before an email can generate results, recipients need to
open it. But what can you do to spark their interest and
get their interest "motor" revved up?

Your SUBJECT LINE is the key.

There are four types of email formulas you can use as a
guide in crafting your email. Each has a different
PSYCHOLOGICAL APPEAL that works like magic on consumers.
Here are some examples:

- State a powerful benefit - "Empowerism Satisfies Your Need
for Leads"

- Pique curiosity - "Empowerism Has Uncovered the Secrets of
Success"

- Write your subject line with a news angle - "Empowerism
Launches RSVP For Those Who Want to Double Their Money
Fast!"

- Offer Immediate Gratification - "With Empowerism RSVP, you
can start the money wheels turning before the sun goes down
tonight"

Here`s an important "homework assignment": Write at least
25 SUBJECT LINES before you decide on which one to use. Take
the best two and test them against each other in your
marketing campaign. (Save the "losers" to use for other
purposes or spruce up later.)

=> Step #3 - WHAT`S IN IT FOR THEM?

Sit down and write every conceivable benefit your product
has. Don`t know the difference between features and
benefits? Features describe the product; benefits describe
the results of using the product. Features appeal to
logic...logic justifies emotion...emotion drives sales (see
below).

Here`s a rule of thumb for benefits: ask yourself "What can
my product or service do for my customer?" Then begin to
write your letter telling your reader WHAT`S IN IT FOR THEM.
Tell them how much better life will be for them after they
buy from you. Tell them how much better they`ll feel. Tell
them how their peers will respect them more.

=> Step #4 - AN EMOTIONAL APPEAL

When promoting anything to anybody, you must remember that
buying decisions are based upon emotion and later backed up
by logic. Before you write a single word, determine what
emotional hot buttons you need to push to "jumpstart" your
prospect.

Selling health supplements? Go for the "fear of illness"
button with "A Natural Way to Save Your Eyesight." Selling
political bumper stickers? Hit the "anger" button with:
"Let the President Know What You Think of His Policies."
Other buttons include: curiosity, greed, ego, vanity, hope,
and/or fear of scarcity or security.

=> Step #5 - A NAME YOU CAN TRUST

To convince people to buy your product or service, you must
make them believe that your offer is credible and that you
(or your product) will deliver as promised.

How do you do that? Here are three ways you can build
credibility with the readers of your sales letter:

- Provide testimonials.
- Include endorsement letters from authority figures in your
industry.
- Make your offer and promises sincere and believable.

=> Step #6 - A GUARANTEE

Nowadays, trying to sell without some type of guarantee is a
losing proposition. You`ve got to have one. And the stronger
your guarantee, the better your response will be. And,
believe it or not, although most people will NOT ask for a
refund, they`ll trust your offer knowing that you stand
behind it.

You can offer a 24-hour, 30-day, 60-day, 90-day, or even a
full-year. And here`s an interesting fact: The longer the
time period, the fewer returns you`ll have! It`s human
nature to procrastinate, so the more time someone thinks
they have to get a refund, the more they`ll put it off or
forget about the refund altogether.

=> Step #7 - DON`T FORGET TO ASK

It happens all the time. Someone makes a fantastic sales
presentation, and then doesn`t close the deal because he/she
didn`t clearly ask for the order or made the process
confusing rather than simple.

- From the Research Department: Statistics show that you
need to ask for the order at least three times to close
substantial sales. (Some studies put the number at 7!)

If you can, offer several ways for your prospects to
order -- consumers love choice. It tells them, "You`re
talking directly to me and meeting my unique needs." If you
only offer one way to order, make it crystal clear how AND
how easy it is. Describe it in detail and ask for the
order. Then ask again.

=> Step #8 - THE EYES HAVE IT

It`s a well-known fact: Large blocks of copy are
intimidating and will often send people running for the
hills or at least the Delete button.

The solution? Break up paragraphs into two to four
sentences. Use several subheadings throughout the email
letter. And use asterisks, dashes, and ellipses (...) to
give your copy more rhythm. Bullet points are excellent
eye-catchers - use them whenever appropriate.

That`s a wrap for this lesson. Next time we`ll be saluting
"Triggers." No, not horses named in honor of Roy Rogers old
steed -- trigger WORDS that will have consumers begging you
to take the money out of their wallets.

Give away a valuable training course via email that has
special appeal to your recipients! You can create a simple
3-day, 5-day, 7 day, or even longer course. And at the end
of some of the course lessons you can add a few lines of
copy plugging your product or service.

This, too, is a soft sell approach.

=> TECHNIQUE #4 - COMBO PLATTER TECHNIQUE

Use a variation of the hard sell, soft sell approach.
Simply alternate your messages. A balance of 40% hard-sell
and 60% soft-sell is generally about right.

The one thing to learn is NOT to go after those
markets where everyone is earning tons of cash.

There, I've said it.

So many people when starting on the internet go
after "internet marketing" for some reason.

Now, do you think the guys earning tons of cash
from their websites are going to be moved from
#1 spot by a new site by this time next month?

No of course not.

It's much better to start off in a small niche
market that you can dominate.

And when you are looking for phrases to target
for your keywords, look at those that get under
100 searches a day (or less than 20)

The search engines will reward you for this.

And, you'll get traffic almost immediately. (you
need to trust me on that one) :)

A site in an area that not many people search
for is easy meat. It's easy to go after and
easy to rank for.

Sure, you want your website to be getting tons
of visitors each day, and you want it fast, but
that is not going to happen.

So target something easy first - cut your teeth
and then expand.

Remember, that this is a long term business for you.

Instead of getting tunnel-vision and only seeing the
short-term goal of the right-now sale, remember that your
email messages are an important way for you to build a
RELATIONSHIP with a consumer based on your HONESTY AND
SERVICE.

Although you want your prospect to buy, you shouldn`t
immediately and constantly bombard the folks on your email
list with nothing but sales pitches. You`re looking for a
long-term, committed relationship. Be a person first and a
salesperson second for the best results.

Your first few email sales letters may prove to be the most
effective if they`re written in a warm, helpful,
let`s-be-business-friends "voice."

In the off-line world, we`ve become accustomed to the fact

online experience, on the other hand is still, for most
people, closer to visiting "the library" or perhaps watching
public television rather than tuning into the Home Shopping
Network.

Most people are on the Internet looking for information -
not waiting to be sold. People don`t want to be pitched to
every day with a "you`d better buy it now" message.

So don`t be a salesperson. Be Miss Information (okay, Ms.
Information definitely sounds better) or Mr. Answerman.
After you become a trusted resource, it`s easy to become a
trusted source.

=> TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE

Lasting relationships don`t happen overnight...they`re built
over time. Your sales letters should be crafted in a way
that slowly, but surely convinces your prospects that you`re
someone with whom they`d like to do business. After you`ve
laid a foundation -- made them happy with what you`ve given
them as a gift, demonstrated your knowledge, etc. -- you`ll
have plenty of time to build a case for buying from you.

=> THE E-LIST

Once your prospects have gotten to know you through your
entire series of pre-written (but valuable)
communications...after you`ve built trust in the relationship
and gradually exposed consumers to the benefits of your

time" ezine list.

Obviously, you can`t include a time-dependent message in
your pre-written letter series. People are opting in to
your list 365 days a year and you can`t risk that they`ll
receive a "Season`s Greetings" message in the middle of
June.

BUT, when you`ve exhausted the appeal of your letter series,
the people on your email list can become your ezine list.
Then you can send a Valentine`s message in February, a
"Happy Birthday, America" message in July, etc.

Today’s going to be the most exciting and fun day yet! It’s time to turn on your dream machine!

Do you remember what I said in Day 2? "Nothing happens until someone gets excited!" Now’s the time to really get turned on. Become a kid again!

Can you remember when you were a young child… you probably dreamt about doing all kinds of great things, you were going to live in a great big house, you were going to have the car of your dreams, you maybe even dreamed about traveling all around the world.

What happened? Life got a hold of you right? Like 97% of everyone else, you probably got stuck in a rut and started to “settle for”. The true secret to winning is Desire. The secret to building your desire is DREAMS!

DREAMS ARE THE FUEL THAT FIRE DESIRE!

You have to decide that you’re no longer going to “settle for” any amount of mediocrity in your life! You can have any amount of success you desire, if you’ll believe it to be true.

Napoleon Hill, in writing Think and Grow Rich, says that “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve!”

The thing that gives that book credibility is his research. He studied a number of successful people, and the one common cord running through them was that they were dreamers. They were just burning up inside with a dream they had cherished for years.

It’s impossible to do anything great without a big dream. If you don’t have a big dream, you’re dead! Not physically, of course, but your opportunity to “be somebody” is dead.

But by the same token, anyone (even you!) can have a big dream.

Anyone (even you!) who is a dreamer can still win.

Anyone (yes, you too!) can begin to change in the next 30 days, beginning with the power of a dream.

Stop thinking about how hopeless your situation is right now! Start thinking about the power of dreams and go make a wish!

This may not be an overnight process for you. In fact your capacity to think big and have big dreams will grow as you grow. Zig Ziglar says it best – “Dream as far as you can see, and when you get there, you can see farther!”

ACTION ITEM

1. Write down your dreams!

Pull out a blank sheet of paper right now and spend a minimum of 20 minutes writing down your dreams. Figure out what the most you can imagine to be possible and put it on paper. Don’t limit yourself and just keep writing down all the things you want.

This step is critical if you want to win! What are the things that work you into a white heat of passion? Is it:

Providing for your parents?
Helping others with medical debts?
Supporting charities?
Sending your kids to college?
Owning your dream car (or cars)?
Paying CASH for your dream home (or homes)?
Get specific and put as many items down as you can think of. Keep this list where you can see it every day. Anytime you feel down or feel like maybe not calling your prospects back, look at this list and imagine what it’s going to be like when you have them all!

ACTION ITEM

2. Visualize your dreams!

Now let’s help you crystallize those dreams and have you experience what it’s like to have them. Look at the most impactful dreams on your list, close your eyes and picture yourself having them. Create a picture in your mind of already being in possession of what you desire!

If it’s your dream home – picture yourself waking through the home seeing the furniture, the doors, the rooms, the back yard. If you have a pool in the back feel yourself jumping in on a hot afternoon while everyone else is at work. Maybe picture what it would be like to wake up to the smell of breakfast being made by your private cook!

Turn your dreams into a reality in your head. Start training your subconscious mind to believe that you’re already in ownership of what you desire. If you remember the key to self-motivation from yesterday, you’ll see the importance of doing this exercise.

If you think this is silly, do it anyway! If you keep doing what you’re doing now, you’re going to keep getting what you’ve always gotten. These are exercises that the top money earners in the industry agree is a must! You can believe that to be true and do it, or you can do like the 90% of people who never become successful and lie to yourself saying you’ll get to it later. You have the knowledge you need to win, but you MUST apply these principles if you want to make it! Don’t get left behind, be a leader and let’s make it happen for you!

By now you should have your goals sheet filled out and posted somewhere you can see it everyday. If not, you know what to do - fill it out now and get it posted!

I know I may stretch you with these ACTION ITEMS but you're going to have to trust me on these because they are the exact steps I've taken virtually every leader through that I've mentored to success. The success you dream about can only be achieved if you follow these exact steps – there are no shortcuts. Knowledge is Power. Actually only APPLIED knowledge is Power!

Today's training centers on mindset . . . and the mental process it takes to become who and what you deserve to be.

The truth of the matter, and this is something that you may not have heard unless someone very successful has shared it with you, is that the body follows the mind!

What I mean by this is that if you want your actions to be great, you have to make your mind great first! We’ll go through some of the steps that, if you follow, can make your mind great.

Number one is MOTIVATION! Have you ever struggled with self-motivation? 99% of everyone in the world struggles with getting themselves truly self-motivated. You’ve probably been to seminars, heard speeches or conference calls that have gotten you so pumped up you could hardly stand it. But after a couple days when you’re sitting at home by yourself that motivation may have worn off. It happens to all of us...

So the question is, how do I stay self-motivated?

Let me first give you my definition of motivation: Self-motivation naturally exists when there's a contrast between your current results (what’s happening in your life now) and your expected results (where you mentally picture yourself.)

Your expected result is your VISION. The problem is that most of us don't have a crystal clear vision of where we want to be in life. We've learned to "just get by". Usually we’re not trained in school or by our parents to be millionaires. We’re not trained to have time freedom and money freedom – The real vision for most people in life is to work their jobs living paycheck to paycheck.

If you desire greater results, you have to CHANGE YOUR VISION! You have to raise your belief level and know in your heart and mind that you deserve the best. You also get to decide what is best for you. That could be $100,000.00 per year, or even per month! One friend of mine, who is one of our faculty members, earned $100,000.00 in a single day!

This is not an easy task because your subconscious mind has been trained all your life to believe what you’re currently experiencing is your vision. How can we change it?

Here’s a HUGE secret…

Your subconscious mind is infinitely more powerful than your conscious mind and it does not know the difference between a truth and a lie! That means that whatever you tell your subconscious mind, it will believe...

If you tell yourself you’re worthless, your subconscious believes it – If you tell yourself you’re a millionaire, you’re subconscious believes that too. Your true VISION is created from what your subconscious mind hears most often!

The first ACTION ITEM is so important because it will teach you how to train your mind for greatness and raise your true VISION to a level that allows you to achieve your true desires.

ACTION ITEM

1. Create a VISION Statement and read it aloud every day!

Take out a sheet of paper right now, don’t procrastinate on this one – you can’t afford to. Think seriously about where you want to be in your life and what kind of results you want to be experiencing. Write out a statement that encompasses exactly what you want your life to look like.

Your VISION statement should inspire you.
It should encompass your values.
It should be specific.
It should be the most you can imagine is possible for yourself.
This statement of what you want your life to look like should inspire you to make it true for yourself. It should be written in the first person and it should be stated as if it were already true. Don’t say my life will be xyz – say my life is xyz. Every time you read it aloud you’re training your subconscious. Your subconscious mind will start to believe it to be true and when that belief becomes crystallized through repetition, self-motivation will naturally kick in!

Your subconscious mind will get to the point that it believes you are what your vision statement says and it will overcome all obstacles to make it become true. You will become naturally self-motivated because your true VISION is in contrast with your current results!

This will be one of the most powerful transitions you’ll make into the world of success. It can change your future and can produce results you never imagined would be possible for yourself – but only if you do it! Take action NOW – write out your VISION statement and start reading it every day, or even several times a day!

2. Call and introduce yourself to your upline support team!

Your upline members have a financial incentive to make sure you're successful. You need to let them know you're going to be a serious member of the team. Login to your back office now and write down the phone numbers for your upline team members and start calling! Go all the way up the chain until you find someone who's having the level of success that you desire for yourself.

Keep those numbers handy so that when you have a prospect with questions you can use 3-way calling to find the answer from your upline.

Welcome back to Boot Camp!

Before we begin, did you complete the day number one action items?

We asked you to get started completing the getting started checklist and to listen in on the conference calls. If you haven't done this, stop whatever you're doing and go do it. Accountability is a must with any training - If you want to succeed, you must be accountable for your actions.

If you haven't noticed, we've geared this training to produce immediate results for you. In fact we want you to know that immediate results will greatly multiply your long-term success!

Think about it... How likely is a person to give up and quit on their business if they have enrolled one, two or three people right away? Not very likely is it?

Here's another secret - nothing happens until someone gets excited! Starting off quickly will allow you to get to the level of excitement to where you will not be denied! I want you to get there quickly...

Do you know what temperature water boils at? 212 degrees.

We want to make you scalding hot with this business - we want you to be on fire - boiling over with excitement!

To get your excitement level to that 212 degrees, we know that the quickest way to do that is to get you in the money! Let's focus on getting your first few enrollments out of the way!

Today's ACTION ITEMS are geared to help you do exactly that!

Before we get into these action items, I thought I'd give you a couple more Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How do I Qualify (and stay qualified) to earn monthly residual commissions?

To earn residual income each month, and to be among the many Success University students who are earning a FULL-TIME Income From Home, you will need to make sure you have personally enrolled at least one active student on each of your two teams. (Left and Right)

Note: An active student is defined as a student who has paid their monthly tuition for the month or who has purchased the $149.95 premium package for the month.

To stay qualified, you'll also need to personally enroll at least one new active student each month. This should be extremely easy because if you were to enroll 4 students in one month, you would be qualified for 4 months, as long as those 4 remain active. Also, if you enroll 6 students total who remain active, you will be qualified for life - so set that as your goal right away!

2. When I enroll a new student, how do I place them in my downline?

First, let me explain how the system works. You have 4 settings which can be changed under the "Preferences" drop down menu under the "My Account" tab. I'll explain those 4 settings here:

Holding Tank – This is your default setting unless you manually change it. When a new student enrolls on your website, you will be given 5 days to place that person in any “open” position in your binary. Since our qualifications require you to enroll one active student on each of your two teams, we recommend you place the first 2 people you enroll on opposite teams. (Should you not place that person within 5 days, our system will manually place that person on your Weak Volume Leg.)

You’ll also want to make sure that you place people down the far left and far right of your binary organization. NEVER build your organization by trying to fill it in equally – always build the far outside leg, which is often called your left powerleg or your right powerleg. If you want to place someone that you’ve personally enrolled on your left team, you’ll want to place them on the FAR outside left of your organization – this can be done easily by clicking on the “Bottom Left” button in your binary viewer. Likewise, if you want to place someone on your right team, place them on the FAR outside of your right leg. If this is confusing, don’t worry, call your upline and they should be able to help you.
Far Left – When a new student enrolls on your website they will be automatically placed on your far outside left leg.
Far Right – When a new student enrolls on your website they will be automatically placed on your far outside right leg.
Weak Volume Leg – When a new student enrolls on your website they will be automatically place on the far outside leg of whichever of your two teams that has the fewest amount of people.
NOTE: Once a student has been placed they cannot under any circumstances be moved.

ACTION ITEM

1. Download your goals sheet, fill it out and post it where you'll see it everyday!

Your Goals Sheet can be found in your Back Office, under the "Resources" tab, in the "Document Library" drop down menu.

While this is not going to specifically enroll people for you, it's the single most important item for today. This goal and commitment sheet is going to ask you to list your WHY.

What is it that gets you so excited you can't sleep at night?
What is the real reason for you becoming an entrepreneur?
Why do you want to break out of the rat race and achieve your freedom?
When the WHY is big enough, the HOW doesn't matter!

Any obstacle can be overcome if you know WHY you want to overcome it.

The marketing world is a lot like making it through a jungle. It's going to be tough at times.

People may laugh at you.
People may tell you you're crazy.
People may tell you you'll never be successful with it.
People are going to turn you down and at times it's going to hurt your feelings.
Those people are the naysayers in the jungle that will try to pull you down. The people who will try and stop you from completing your journey and will try to keep you from achieving your freedom that lies on the other side.

To make it through, you need to keep your head up - you need to be focused on your goal and you need to have your sights so laser focused on what you want that nothing will get in your way. You have to become a RHINO! You have to be so tough that nothing is going to stop you!

To crystallize your WHY, you have to WRITE IT DOWN! Go now to your back office, download your goals and commitments sheet and fill it out immediately. Make sure you post it where you can see it everyday!

contact the right person.

*A MESSAGE left on voice mail is almost always a waste of

I have always felt that it is important to learn from mistakes.
Well, lets just say that I have made a few and I am hoping you
can learn from them and not make the same mistakes that I did.
It might even save you some time and a few dollars as well.

Mistake #1
I waited too long to start following up with clients.
Once I got going and started actually selling my best
products and services,I waited a good 3 months before
I got an Autoresponder and started collecting names
and following up with people who had purchased from
me. I had read Secret Sales Machine and I knew how
important it was, but at the time I just didn't think
I could justify the expense of a good Autoresponder
service. I could not have been more wrong. In fact,
when I look back now, I think of all the money I lost
by NOT having one. I still kick myself for that huge
mistake. It was so simple and so vital, and yet I
knowingly didn't do it sooner. A PIP site comes with
a good one and it should be pre-filled with follow up

I recommend upgrading it if you can and reading all
you can about how it works and the different functions.
This is probably the most important cog in your IM machine.

Mistake #2
I project hopped.
There was a time in the very beginning where I thought
that I had to do everything. Every new thing I read
about or heard about, I thought I had to get into that
one too. Another big time waster. Thank God I figured
that out early. You are going to hear dozens of pitches
a day from some big name guys and they will be compelling
too. Resist the urge to do too many different things.
They will all tell you that it is a limited time and the
doors will close soon on the offer. Let it go. There will
be a new one tomorrow. Focus on what you want to do and
don't get side tracked by every new program out there.

Mistake #3
I bought WSO's from the Warrior forum that were of very little value.
Now I am not saying to stay out of the WSO area, because
I think that sometimes there are some interesting pitches
being made there and you may want to study how they are
done. But as a whole, I would say that the stuff being
sold in there is not something you want to start your
Internet Business with. The stuff is cheap and maybe
there is a reasonfor it. Save your money. I remember
buying a Halloween package of PLR books and recipes and
Pumpkin Carving books that I thought I could use as a
seasonal thing. It was fine and all, and I did make my
money back on it, but it became clear pretty quickly that
I was never going to get rich off of it and it took too
much of my time and focus from the bigger picture.

It`s an old, old saying, but it`s true: you only have one
chance to make a good first impression. And in email, the
first impression is always visual -- a consumer LOOKS/SEES
before he/she READS.

Imagine walking by a grotesquely garish storefront with all
kinds of things hanging off the front porch, every floor
painted a different color, and odd music playing through
loudspeakers. Would you want to walk in the front door? No
way! You`d assume that the owner is a kook, at best, or a
deranged axe murderer, at worst.

Did you ever have an ugly looking email land in your
mailbox? You know what I`m talking about: an orange
background and yellow borders, multi-colored text in all
sizes from gigantic to microscopic, a message that looks like
it was created by a crazed six-year-old? If you did, I bet
you didn`t feel the urge to read it. You probably just
wanted to delete it as quickly as possible.

=> PUT OUT THE WELCOME MAT
You want your email message to be friendly and inviting, not
bizarre and scary. The suggestions below -- and they`re
just suggestions, not hard and fast rules -- will go a long
way towards making recipients` eyes say "come on in!" to
your message.

=> DO`s and DON`Ts FOR ATTRACTIVE EMAILS

-DON`T use COLOR fonts in your message. (Leave that to
junior high girls who want to write about Britney and
Justin)

-DO use BLACK TEXT ON A WHITE BACKGROUND. (When you`re
"speaking" in black-and-white, people will give their full
attention to your message without being distracted by your
color scheme.)

-DON`T use UNCOMMON FONTS. (If someone`s system doesn`t
recognize the font you`ve selected, they could see gibberish
instead of your brilliant message).

-DO use the email marketers` FAVORITE FONTS: Arial, Times
New Roman, and Courier New

And please.

-DON`T use flashing buttons or banners in your email! (Your
prospects have undoubtedly gotten their fill of "bells and
whistles" when they`ve surfed the Internet. They don`t need
more from you.)

=> GET HYPER" WITH EMAIL HYPERLINKS

An "email hyperlink" is just techno-talk for a link in your
email to a website, or email address. Sounds simple enough,
and it is -- unless you try to contact a prospect on AOL who
may not be able to receive "clickable" links.

Don`t worry. There`s a "fix" for this: simply type mailto:
in front of your email address (no space in between, and
include the : )

For a link to a web page, you need to write your link this
way: href=http://www.anycompany.com>http://www.anycompany.com
. (And tell your recipient they can copy and paste this
link into their browser if it`s not highlighted.)

=> ALWAYS USE SIGNATURE TAGS

Today, it`s common practice on the Internet to tell people
about your product or service with a SIGNATURE TAG, which is
3-6 lines of text (usually) that is automatically added to
every message you send.

If you`d like to add a tag to your messages, simply open
your email program. Find the SIGNATURES TAB (located in the
TOOLS/OPTIONS menu in Outlook Express). Follow the (simple)
instructions for creating a sig file. Easy as pie...and the
results will amaze you.

business opportunity. Now, they might eventually sign up for
it, but not immediately. A person viewing Traffic Swarm ads

Today you`re going to learn the BASICS OF EMAIL MARKETING.

Now I know what you`re thinking: Basics don`t sound very
exciting or "empowering." But the basics are the foundation
upon which everything else is built. Miss these and you may
end up spinning your wheels for the next 12 months.
(Wouldn`t you rather be spinning stories about how you made
your first million?)

So find a comfortable spot, put up your feet and let`s get
ready to rumble!

Essential Rules For Effective Email Marketing
===================================

If you want an email campaign to succeed, you don`t want to
offend anyone when sending your messages. Turn off a
consumer with your email and you can be sure they`ll
tune out your message. Don`t let this happen to you!

A message that earns respect makes sales. That`s why our
first topic for discussion is email etiquette.

Train yourself to always -- and I mean ALWAYS -- stick to
the rules below when crafting your email message.

=> RULE #1 - ALWAYS WRAP YOUR LINES AT 65
CHARACTERS OR LESS

Whenever you write an email, always format the lines so that
they`re 65 characters, or less, across. To do this, you may
need to do a "hard return" by hitting "Enter" at the end of
the line.

Wondering why to limit your lines to just 65 characters?
(Good question! It shows you`re thinking.) There are two
reasons that "less is more":

-- The first thing to remember is that looking at a computer
screen for a long time causes EYE FATIGUE for many readers.
The shorter span of characters across the screen makes
reading easier and more appealing to the recipient of your
email message.

-- The other reason to go short instead of long is this:
some email clients AUTOMATICALLY ENFORCE LINE-WRAPPING
at 60-65 characters on received messages. If your email
is wrapped at 70, the content will arrive all "chopped up."
This makes it unattractive...and worse -- unappealing.

-- Tip within a Rule #1: Email clients such as Outlook
Express allow you to SET THE LINE-WRAP to any
character-width you choose. That means you won`t have to
hit Enter each time after typing 65 characters. Makes life
easier!

-- Tip within a Rule #2 - You can type 65 asterisks or
dashes in a Notepad file to create a template. Then paste
your email below it to see if any lines extend too far to
the right.

=> RULE # 2 - BE CAREFUL USING ALL CAPS

How many times have you changed the TV channel to avoid
listening to a screaming car salesperson? No one likes a
screaming salesperson...and no one likes a "screaming" email
message, either. Odds are, when someone has over-amped the
volume of their message by using too many capital letters
(not to mention too many exclamation points and other
punctuation) - you`re going to be turned off.

On the Internet, email messages written in all caps are
considered yelling. It`s okay to write some sentences and
some words in all caps, but don`t go overboard. (As you can
see in this message, I`ve tried to use capital letters to
help break up sections of the content from time to time)

-- Tip within a Rule: Consumers buy from a source they
trust. Emails in all caps are perceived as "shady" or
uneducated, and have an appearance that damages the
credibility of an offer.

=> RULE #3 - WATCH YOUR Ps & Qs (Spelling and Grammar)

Would you be influenced by an email selling you something
that had noticeable spelling and grammar mistakes? Sure you
would...and the influence would be negative, not positive!
When a consumer reads a sales message that`s filled with
errors, they think to themselves, "Good grief, this person
doesn`t even take the time to get his emails right. His
product is probably the same quality as his emails."

When you`re in business, YOUR IMAGE IS YOUR REPUTATION
and your reputation is the reason people buy from you or the
guy down the block. It`s essential that you create an image
of INTEGRITY, CREDIBILITY, and HONESTY in the mind
of your prospects. Sending emails filled with errors doesn`t
hurt your professional image...it destroys it. (Ouch!)
