Christmas was really nice this year very laid back just how I wanted it, I made a lot of the girls presents because when times are tough thats what you do :) and they loved every single thing they got which was nice.

our gift from my mom was these pictures she got done while she had them the weekend before xmas so we could get everything done, from me being sick I just had started gift that weekend.

I love my girls oh so much they keep saying that was grandmas hand lol

The girls dolls I made from sewing in no man land made them a little smaller and different kind of hair I also used fabric markers and drew the faces on free style :). All the doll clothes I MADE goes with this cute little dolls, everytime chloe opened one up shes like aww I love it mom thank you like she knew I made it :) love her

And now she gets to make her own dolly clothes or what ever she wants with her new sewing machine

the girl got a bunch of goodies, my brother and his finace always get the girls the best books so they got two new ones this year :)

There are tons of photos i took but i'm going to keep it short and sweet I made the old mcdonald farm puppets for them that was a big hit, i'm glad they had a good christmas and next year will be better :)

Even baby Trent got some stuff, were saving right now to get a house and we have to start all over in the baby department we got rid of everything thinking we wouldnt have another baby for years but things happen and we need to start saving and getting stuff for our boy now

I really wanted my last pregnancy to go smooth I guess that just isn't possible for me with any of my children. After I seen the specialist I was hopeful that I would go back to seeing my doctors every four weeks but not in the works for me I got my blood work back yesterday I had five strands of the hand mouth and foot diease now I have to been seen every two weeks with routine ultrasounds. They really want to keep an eye on his heart to make sure everything is Aokay with him, the other thing that really got Erik and I upset is that he could be born deaf or blind because of it we wont know until he comes. Everyone is saying that he will be just fine but there is always that worry in the back of your head until he is here and we can get all the test done.

he looks so sweet in there and even though they want to keep a close eye on his heart, everything looks perfect he is perfect size and his heart looks great. I love how he is giving a thumbs up and smiling like i'm okay in here :')

And now that I have all that going on I found out my uterus has notching which can lead to preclamsia (had with my first daughter) growth restriction (also had with my first daughter) and some other complications. so if thing couldnt get worse we really just have to be hopeful that he will stay in me til full term and be born healthy as can be.

Finally got that picture to show everyone he really is a boy and not just me saying it :)

SO now we just have to wait for our baby boy to get bigger strong healthier and to full term to come in to this world so we can see his beautiful face and see if this aweful virus caused an harm to him, I love you already baby Trent we all want you healthy but we will love you no matter what happens. ( he just kicked me tear)

My wife loves to watch HG TV through our expertsatellite TV. She is constantly getting ideas to decorate or renovate our home. We have three grown sons, and for years our house looked like a disaster area. We had sports equipment, weights, books, cloths, etc. all over the house. My wife worked full time, and she did her best to keep the house nice and neat. However, now that our sons are all grown, she has become a decorating fanatic. I am actually glad that she has the time to spend on the house, and it is nice to not have to be constantly telling our sons to pick up after themselves. On the flip side, I now spend much more time in the yard than I used to because I had more hands to complete the job. The boys always helped me with the yard work as a part of their chores. Now that they are gone, I have been doing the yard work by myself, which has been tough. I am seriously thinking about paying a landscaper to work in my lawn. I do not enjoy yard work the same way that my wife enjoys working inside the home, so for me it is less of a hobby and more of a responsibility.

My little tea pot onesie~ tutorial

as you can see i'm blogging more, I miss blogging so i'm going to try and do it at least a couple times of weeks. Here is another tutorial when I had these onesie in my shop they would go so quick seeing I don't make them anymore i'll show you how and you can make your own :)

This one the first one I ever made and my little Sora was only 1 than :) aww love her

Supplies:

Large piece of lace

circles of silky fabric

embroidery thread and needle

onesie

Take your lace (I purchased at SAS) place it on your onesie and see how big you want your "pot" to be then cut it out

now you want to sew it on with some black thread

now take you thread and lets hand sew the stem and leaves

I used my tutorial HERE to make the flower

start under the "pot"

and just keeping sewing all the way up then you start to curve it when you get to the flower like its "slumped" over in a way

Viola you are done easy but a pain at the same time :) hope you enjoy making these for your little cuties...

sweater from a sweater~ tutorial

When times are tough you make Christmas happen by making your own presents, that is exactly what i'm doing this year. Handmade is just as good as store bought right? I think so, some may not but I could care less i'll just make sure not to make anything for you :) i'm going to show you how I made Chloe's sweater from a sweater I recieved from her GG that had never been worn or anything. I think it came out better than I had pictured here we go!

I took a sweater that was huge and cute everything down to size to fit my bug

Chloe's nana has a dachshund dog so its the one doggy she can say hey nana has a dog like this :). So i just googled the image printed it out.

then I took freezer paper and traced around the pcture with an exacto knife viola, now iron the image down.

put something under the image so the paint will not bleed through to the other side

squeeze your paint on

get it all nice and even and wait and wait for it to dry

peel off the freezer paper and your image is set looking cute on to putting the sweater together

serge the top and the long stitch the top to ruffle the front and back

now serge the arms and the rest of the parts need sergering

pin your arms to the sweater and sew on

like so

now you take the neck piece and pin it all the way around sew it on and your sweater is done so cute huh :)

I then took a bow that a sweet girl made for my girls awhile back and attached some velcore on the back to change out the bow when ever she feels like it.

and of course I sewed on a label

I hope you enjoyed I think it came out uber cute I have four more sweaters to do hmm what shall I put on the next one :)

it's starting to look a lot like Christmas

I started making Christmas presents late this year because, of school and finals my last final was on Saturday. I'm buckling down now and making gifts everyday for everyone so far I have some done for the girls here is what is done:

dolly dress and one of GG's doily that she gave to me

with velcore closure for easy on and off on the girls dolls i'm making them for xmas as well

felt food so far i have made sliced bread, cheese, lettuce, orange slice, "cooked" egg, carrots, 3 chips, butter and broccoli

Trent Liam

I had an ultrasound the other day and we found out we are having our baby BOY. We could not be happier, seeing this is our last baby and we already have two little girls, that is exactly what we wanted to hear.

We already have his name picked out we went back a forth on a couple but then we finally settled on Trent Liam...Liam because we both really like that name and its still unique enough for our little family :) and Trent because it's Erik's grandpa who passed away when his dad was just a little boy, seeing this is the first boy entering the family we thought it would be really sweet to add that in and we can thank Ana (my mother in law, Erik's mom) as well :)

Most likely this baby will have a few other names in there as well because thats how we roll lol, but people say it's to early to have a name but really it's not we knew the girls name before we even knew they were girls, so I don't need your two sense ;).

My doctor said my energy should be coming back anyday now and guess what? It has i'm so happy because I have so much to do its not even funny I have finals in a couple of weeks, Thanksgiving, Christmas, The girls birthday etc etc etc

I have so many great ideas for christmas presents this year, the thing is I havent started any yet :(...guess what i'll be doing this weekend...sewing christmas presents! how about you have you started on any of your gifts yet..i'm so excited that this year for Thanksgiving and for Christmas we get to stay in our pjs all day long (even though we most likely wont) because MY family (erik the girls and me) are fnally celebrating it just with just us and it feels so good. I felt like for so many years now that i've had to feel bad for not being somewhere for along enough time because I do have another family now to (my husbands) and they would like to see us too on the holidays. So this year I decided you know what no its all about me and my family and thats exactly what were doing and I could care less if anyone gets butt hurt about it :)

owl hat ~ A tutorial

I thought this would be an easy one for people who don't know how to crochet like me, make this hat the same way but with fleece :)

For the pattern I measured both my girls heads, and what do you know their the same size, so I took the measurement and took half that size. 21in took it to 11 inches and split that in half and got 5 1/2 in and made the pattern that way. That probably makes no sense but in my head it did ha

Then I cut out two for the front and back

I then started to cut out the shapes one for the nose which is just a triangle with a round bottom, and the eyes two giant circles

now I was going to use embroidery thread but it wasnt working how I wanted it to so I just used needle and regular thread.

when everythng is sewed on it should look like this

now put both pieces right side together I sergered all the way around you can do whatever you want to close it

now cut strips as long as you want cut them into three, not cutting all the way through, and do a basic braid, then I sewed the bottom so it wouldn't unravel, I also sewed the pieces to the hat.

Viola cute right? Chloe loves it, and it's perfect just in time for the colder weather to come. Not that it ever gets cold here just wishful thinking on my part :)

I know "they" say you get bigger faster with every pregnancy but I feel like i'm a beef cake/ beached whale already and i'm only 11 weeks, sad? I thought so! I got to see my little gummy bear a couple of weeks ago to figure out how far a long I was cause I had no idea, and I was 7 weeks it was so crazy to see this little life in me all over again. My third child what in the world are we getting our selves into?

Chloe couldnt be happier she is convienced she is getting her baby brother and when people mention girl she gets upset so I dont know how she is going to take it if it is another girl, poor thing lol I think because she has to deal with sora everyday she wants a brother. Sora understands but doesnt, she points at my belly and says baby but I dont think she understands that there is going to be some one younger than her coming soon and i'm not sure she is going to like that to much.

I was violently sick with both my girls, but with this one i'm just nauseous and only threw up once so because of that I think it may be our little boy that would be amazing, because I am getting my tubes tide when I have this little one so we would LOVE to complete our family with our son!

Either way we are going to love this bundle of joy just like our girls we are happy and thats all that matters (huge right ugh no bueno) :) hope everyone has been doing good! I wish I had energy to do anything these days but it's aweful, five classes and in the first trimster is not a very good combo but you know what i'm passing all my classes and i'm pushing through so in the end everything is going to be alright! But I could use a coffee from time to time

On another note in 60 days it's CHRISTMAS does that make you sick to your stomach cause just typing that made my stomach turn...ugh...I need to blow the dust off my sewing machine and start making stuff!

This fall has been so werid It was so nice out for about three weeks we were outside every day play and bbqing, doors and windows opened letting fresh air in wonderful. Then about a week ago the weather decided to play games on us it's be 95 everyday like really I didn't want to have to turn my air back on in the middle of October just aweful. Today I have to addmit it's a little better.

Riding bikes going on walks enjoy every minute with our girls, couldnt get any better than that in life..

BBQing is a favorite of our we experiment with everything on the grill especially veggies some work some dont ask i'll tell :)

All of the beautful flowers in bloom you can't help but enjoy the outside this time of the year in Arizona.

Daddy enjoy his girls, always.

If you know us, you know that Christmas is a huge deal at our house. We go all out with wreaths on every window, lights on all the ledges, blowup Santa and reindeer in the yard, and a big “Joy to the World” on the roof. It has been this way for me my whole life – my dad and I used to spend hours at the beginning of every December setting things up and testing lights and fans to make sure it would come to life properly when the sun went down. These days, I do the same with my little boy, but my wife is less than thrilled about it. She pulled out all the stops this year and insisted that we tone it down. I tried to explain that our neighbors expect us to be that festive and we need to deliver. I promised to call our TEXAS ELECTRICITY PROVIDERS to get a better rate and see if we couldn’t try to lower the power bill. She seemed pacified by that, for the time being, but now she’s hounding me over where we should store it all this year after the holidays. I’ve got nothin’. Anyone know of a storage place offering free rent..?

Where have I been? Well i'm still super busy with school in five classes which takes up a lot of time, then I have the girls and Erik and the business so it's pretty crazy around here. We recently found out we are having are third and last baby in the spring of 2012 so now it's going to be getting even crazier around here. From this point on in my blog i'm going to start being me, I feel like this is someone elses blog and I write for them, thats why I get so discouraged when I go to write something up. Some of you might like me more or less after I start writing but frankly I don't care this is my blog and I'm going to write what I want. Just want to give you a heads up if you want to stop following me now. Hope everyone has been good i'm going to try to start writing a couple times a weeks I haven't made a tutorial or project in months so we will see if I can get around to some of those as well!

I have been so busy lately it's been crazy, tomorrow school starts back up for me five classes Saturday, Monday. Tuesday, Thursday and two online classes. I'm going to start blogging regularly again going to get back in to that routine I have a bunch of fun things coming this way which i'm excited about and you will be as well when you hear about it :). belt with lil blue boo image ~ tutorial

a couple of weeks ago I made a super cute belt for Chloe I got the image from lil blue boo blog, and i'm going to show you how I made it for her.

Supplies:

strip of fabric twice as wide, and the length of your waist or little ones

scissors

Nesting Doll repeat image printed on iron transfer sheet

fold your strip of fabric in half (right sides together if you have print on your fabric) and sew all the way up/closed beside the ends, so you can flip right side out.

flip right side out..

once flipped right side out you want to iron it flat, this is the back of the belt so you don't see the line right down the middle

now fold in both ends and slip stitch them shut.

grab your images and cut them up into strips

now place it on your belt start at one side and work your way to the other side, by just placing the image right side down and ironing for a couple of minutes peel it off and viola.

Then I took my belt buckles that I purchased at SAS for 15 cents and folded the fabric over them and sewed to secure them. Lastly I added one of my labels...and that's all she wrote...
