The debut of Michelangelo's "The Ghetto Renaissance Collection"

2009 capped the first official year that FUX ENT. artist Michelangelo decided to hit the solo scene running. I can be completely honest and say that Michelangelo's road has not been an easy one. A father of two, Michelangelo finally has the pieces in place to make a even better run at his rap career. The Ghetto Renaissance has been 3 years in the making. Although, he has recorded several tracks solo and some featured, the Ghetto Renaissance only offers Michelangelo's voice. My belief is that he doesn't to be concerned with any other artists career or motives. Selfish, sure, but can you blame him. Can you you blame any artist for trying to prove himself, not to other rapper, musicians, singers, but himself. This year is different from the ones past.

This coming Tuesday, February 8th, 2011 Michelangelo is presenting his piece of Hip-Hop history. especially, when it comes to Bay Area music. My guarantee is that he'll probably won't sound like most artist and rappers. He'll most likely catch you off guard with his clever lyrics and wave riding flow. He'll intrigue most and most will hate him for it. The Ghetto Renaissance Collection is what is considered to be an epoch of music, involving the entire artistic gamut crystallized into a sound that begins with your typical hip-hop/rap sound and immediately evolves into something simply described as "music".

Mista FAB. makes the connection of a rapper coming from a city where life can be very one tracked if the resources aren't put in place for you to succeed. I got the feeling of lost hope in this video. Where has Oakland gone wrong? To be honest that a hard question to answer but the results will most likely be the same. Misfortune, under served communities, and high crime has brought us to our knees praying for a way out to survive. He's right our city does need him because for most of Oakland's residents the sense of hope is lost and may never be found. Thanks Mista FAB. for keeping the hope alive, for now.

Also hopping on the FRESH STEPS stage in NOVEMBER will be The Diligentz locally from the Bay Area who has made big waves in their music career. Jay Ant, Damey, Prank510 and Frank who have all don solo projects are coming the strong bond that creates Diligentz music. With the punk-rockish style of rapping, The Diligentz is sure to bring the energy we all seek at FRESH STEPS. I'm especially liking the song by Jay Ant - "Somebody Like Me" sampled by the "Young Folks" by Peter Bjorn and John. ...On the evening of Jan 2nd 2010 Mic-G was pulled over and arrested for
possession of marijuana. Due to false testimony by the arresting
police officer, a search warrant was obtained and, literally hours
after his arrest, 26 armed Oakland police officers kicked in the door
to his home where him and family resides only to find less than a
hundred dollars and a personal amount of marijuana.

Due to Oakland's unclear laws of what is considered a personal or
distributable amount of marijuana Mic-G charges has been raised from
"possession" a misdemeanor crime to "possession with the the intent to
sell" which is a felony offense. Based on these charges, Mic-G is
facing up to 3yrs in STATE PRISON which will cause hardship not just
on him but also his family for whom he provides.

100% of the proceeds of this event will go towards paying legal fees
incurred from being dragged through this horrible judicial process.
PLEASE we ask that you support in whatever way you can.

Joi Gilliam will take the stage at the New Parish in Oakland on Monday June 21st a weekly showcase known as "Monday Soul" hosted by JE Media Productions and DJ Sharp. Joi Gilliam is an American R&B/Rock singer, record producer and songwriter associated with the Dungeon Family collective based in Atlanta, Georgia, and as such often performs with OutKast, the Organized Noise production team, and Goodie Mob. Opening for Joi will be the electrifying Oakland Soul-tress, Isis Genisis who has openly admitted that Joi is one of her biggest inspirations in music. "As a young girl, Joi changed my view of music at the age of 14."

Fuxwitit ent. is an expression that tests the limits. Our motto will tests the limits in entertainment. By bringing together talented artists and musicians who aren't bound to the restrictions that the "NEW" music industry has set fourth upon entertainers. We are focused on promoting upcoming talented artists who are committed to making a name for themselves. The music industry has seemingly forgotten about the "little man." The singer who rocks every venue in their city. The rapper who writes and records 5 songs in a day.
