Comelec Voter's Registration until October 31, 2009

Officials from our Barangay are going house to house to inform everyone that Comelec Voter's Registration is until October 31, 2009. If you are anywhere near Makati City, please go to Glorietta 4. Registration is every Fridays and Saturdays until 7PM.

I hope new voters won't have any trouble in the registration process. Mine was an easy one back then. Comelec should note that the voters registration is a crucial stage since new voters will always remember this event. Good memories would lead to more returns in the election day so let us hope for the best in this PH registration.

I'm still quite reluctant about the news for the voting software though. Online voting should be an easy event for everyone. The question is, will the result be accurate?

My family and I are having the usual evening lazy talk when my sister Gemma sang "Watermelon... watermelon" out of the blue. To our amazement, my nephew Emman continued the song and said, "falling down... falling down..."

Hahahah. Hilarious. We all laughed and Emman continued singing "falling down... falling down..."

You know why Emman sang that way?

My sister sang Watermelon in the tune of London Bridge. She said they have the same tune.

I have no idea =) LOL.

I'm one of the last people who noticed that Google logo is different. This is in celebration of their 11th Anniversary.

Today is actually the 11th anniversary of a fairly mundane event in Google's history. On Sept. 4, 1998, the company filed papers establishing it as a California corporation.

But does it celebrate today? Actually, no. The corporate history says Google has sometimes marked Sept. 7, or Sept. 27, and a few years ago it gave up on the specifics and posted a page saying, "Google opened its doors in September 1998. The exact date when we celebrate our birthday has moved around over the years, depending on when people feel like having cake."

Even 1998 may not be so meaningful to the company's history. Larry Page and Sergey Brin, the two Stanford graduate students who started Google, met in 1995 -- when Page was considering going to Stanford and Brin was assigned to give him a campus tour.

I was out today to clear my head and my mind. Sometimes a change of environment would help...

Lately, it has been very difficult for me to trust anyone. I saw right before my eyes how people ruin others lives and I cannot bear it. I cannot allow myself to go through the same process in the same manner that I do not want to cause any pain at all to people whom I care most.

I was getting the usual supplies for my mom when the owner approached me and said something completely unexpected. He is a total stranger and somehow he was able to make me smile... Odd. It seems that he knew that I'm so sad and those magic words made me feel uplifted.

Simple things can somehow change us if we allow it. Simple acts might not take all the pain away but surely, it helps.

You may never understand... You may never know the reasons...

Sometimes you need to run away just to see who is strong enough to come after you...
