Dangerous Logical Fallacy

OK, we've all seen the ads on TV for some alarm company where some creep is watching an innocent woman or child or both and kicks open their front door in broad daylight. All of a sudden, an alarm shrieks to life, the criminal makes eye contact with his intended victim and runs off.
I can't tell you how much these ads offend me. First of all, anyone fucked up enough to kick in the door of someone's home in broad daylight is not going to turn tail and run off just because some alarm goes off. The first thing they are going to do is get hold of their victim to control their movements, that way they can keep them away from any exit or phone. The next thing they'll do is bind the victim with something so they can be controlled with minimal effort. So by the time the company monitoring the alarm system lets the phone ring the required number of times, they then have to determine whether it's a genuine emergency or someon'es talking on their phone & just doesn't want to answer the call-waiting signal (I do that all the time), they then call 911 to alert the authorities. His wife was kidnapped, raped and then murdered while she was talking to 911! Ok, they may not have heard the gunshot that killed her but fuck! Five calls to 911 did sweet fuck-all to help this poor woman. It broke my heart to listen to her calls & it made me angry at the impotence of the "system" that so many people count on for their safety. If you worry about safety for yourself & your family, learn how to avoid or take care of trouble. I have dogs & guns, but let's be honest, that's not a universal solution & won't work for everyone. Same for Martial Arts. But you can do something, just find out what that something is and do it.

That's a classic example of Appeal to Emotion, a logical fallacy used to prove a point without resorting to actual facts. Any time you see an ad that implies "what you have is not good enough" whether it's your SUV, sunblock or alarm system, they are appealing to your emotions rather than your rationale. They count on your ego, lust, ignorance and fear to motivate you to buy the latest & greatest products, namely theirs. Why else would someone buy a Cadillac Escalade? It's the exact same vehicle as a GMC Yukon, just dolled up so they can charge a shitload more money for it, because isn't a Cadillac better than a plain-old GMC?
The whole SUV craze was based on an appeal to emotion: "Don't you want your family to be safe?" - an appeal to fear, because it's been proven time and again that SUVs are less safe in accidents; "How impressed would your neighbors be if you brought home a Lincoln Navigator instead of a boring old Ford Explorer like they have?"- an appeal to vanity or pride, because they never explain why the Navigator is a better vehicle, just that it's an impressive display of wealth & it will make your neighbors jealous of you; "You can do anything or go anywhere! It's sporty and useful!"- an appeal to vanity again, because the only time 99.9% of SUVs go off-road is when their drivers are drunk, and minivans are way more utilitarian. But don't minivans have their own logical fallacies attached to them? "It's not Manly," "It's a 'MommyMobile,'" are classic appeals to vanity. You don't need a 6000 pound all-wheel-drive vehicle to negotiate the strip malls of Suburbia

I'm going to come right out and say it: Michael Jackson's death is no great loss. I'm actually surprised he didn't kill himself years ago. Now, before you get your Underoos and sequined gloves all in a twist, I'll explain my position.
First of all, he's a fucking pedophile, or more specifically, a pederast. Yeah, yeah, he was never convicted blah blah blah....what the fuck ever. That's just a prime example of our "justice" system being the best money can buy. Why else would he flee the country that loves him so much? Oh, that's right, to escape any further prosecution, if someone decided they needed more Hush Money. Only the Catholic Church spent more money in that area than he did, but let's be honest, they had quite a few more people to hush than he did, not to mention all those moving vans, more PR people, and all those out of work Fantasy writers who did their press releases, I'm sure it was a logistic nightmare.
Second, he was a complete fucking whacko. I'm not talking about the one glove or all the plastic surgeries (although that is a fucking horror show in its own right), or not wanting to grow up. No, I'm talking about the guy who slept in a hyperbaric chamber, bought the Elephant Man's skeleton to display at his house, dangled his newborn over a balcony, and the list just goes on and on. I think he single-handedly kept the Enquirer & other rag mags in business during the 80s and 90s. Don't believe me? Do a search for the "art" from Neverland, it's fucking disturbing.
Third, his legacy is a mountain of debt. He may have been called the King of Pop, but could have been King of Paupers. Some estimates give a figure near $400 MILLION FUCKING DOLLARS!
What the fuck? He's worse with money than Mike Tyson?

Then there were things he did that really made him look pretty much like a dick. He outbid Sir Paul McCartney for a catalog of Beatles songs, when anyone with any kind of class wouldn't even have considered bidding, period. I mean, McCartney wrote or co-wrote those songs, not to mention recorded them. Then he got a chance to shake hands with President Reagan, who I thought was also a huge prick. And when he shakes Reagan's hand, he left his stupid glove on. Talk about buying into your own hype! The only Americans that should leave their gloves on when shaking hands with the president are Servicemen in dress uniforms.
He's just another tragic figure in a long line of musical trainwrecks, but the way people seem to be carrying on, you'd think he was on a par with Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Jim Morrison, or John Lennon. He's not. Not even close. Too many equate record sales with talent, and it's just not so. He was a decent singer that MTV, adolescent girls and good timing turned into a superstar, whatever that is any more.

Well, well, it seems that the Neo-Nazi religious fanatics in this country have found themselves a whole new group of people to subjugate, and apparently the Supreme Court in the People's Republic of Kalifornia think it's just A-OK with them. I'm talking about Prop 8, of course, the bill that basically states that homosexuals are second-class citizens.
Think that's over-simplified? Think of it this way: separate is NEVER equal. To "allow" LGBT couples to form "civil unions" is the worst kind of Orwellian Doublespeak bullshit spouted by people who don't have the balls to speak the truth.
That truth, as I see it, is that elected officials would rather discriminate against the LGBT community than upset the semi-literate, jackbooted, bible-thumping religious fanatic members of their constituency. They say it's to protect the "sacred nature" of marriage. I call mega-bullshit on that. If marriage were so fucking sacred, divorce would be illegal, and how many elected officials would sign their name to that piece of legislature, honestly?
These are the same types who passed the notorious Jim Crow laws so they could keep all those recently freed slaves "in their place." They also tried to ban interracial marriage, and used the same tired bullshit to justify it then as they are using now.
You think that's not a legitimate comparison? Ask any schoolkid if they'd rather be Black or Gay for a day at school.... Sure, the cops aren't using fire hoses or attack dogs on them, yet.
Look, I don't want to minimize the Civil Rights movement from the 60s, because I remember seeing how awful that shit was on the news. All I'm saying is that in a modern society what's good for one is good for all, you can't pick and choose who gets to exercise their rights & who has to sit in the middle & suck on it. You also can't legislate morality, nor should you even try. Marriage is sacred? According to whom? Certainly not any of the Abrahamic religions, whose founding namesake married his own sister, who also gave him a green light to bang the help. Too bad hypocrisy isn't physically painful...
And all you "people of color" who voted to support Prop 8 should be ashamed of yourselves, because I guarantee there were gays marching to support your rights 40 some years ago, so fuck you.

This is what happens when people stop relying on their own abilities and standing up for themselves. Disputes that used to be settled in backyards are now settled in courts, and the only ones gaining anything from this system are the lawyers who created it.

How to Not Suck as a Customer

OK, I have been working in customer service or similar fields for over 10 years, and I have some insight on how to be a better customer. That’s right, how you ignorant fucks can help people like me better take care of your problems.

1: I know you’re a very busy and important person (insert eye-rolling and universally recognized mock-masturbation hand gesture here), but call from your home or office, because your cellular phone sucks the ass out of a wooden hobby horse. I’m sure your spare-no-expense-to-impress-perfect-strangers electronic ego stroke is the very cutting-edge in gossip technology, but on the other end of your call you sound like your mumbling into a bucket of water, in a tin shack, in a hailstorm, at the far end of a tunnel. And that goes double for you bluetool douchebags. At least your high-tech Freudian phallus picks up every speck of ambient sound in your fucking county, everything but your voice, that is. Your speaker phone is no better, either. I'm sure all your asshole friends are in awe of your multitasking skills, but we don't want to listen to your shitty music/collection of bad tv shows or the clinking of your dishes, do that shit later. The majority of them are also sound-activated, so they clip off the first part of anything you say, that's why we keep asking you to repeat yourself, asshole.

2: Have your shit together. Don’t make me ask a hundred fucking questions, know what you want when you call! If you needed your account number the last fifty times you called, then yes, you’ll fucking need it this time as well! I don’t want to listen to dead air while you rummage through your purse/wallet/filing cabinet/fish tank/mother’s corpse to get a copy of your last bill for information you know good and goddamn well you’re going to need before you even call. Don’t make me fucking guess. And have a fucking writing utensil ready too, because chances are pretty good that I’ll have some useful information that I guarantee you won’t remember.

3: Put your fucking squalling offspring the fuck down! Trust me, your spawn will survive for two minutes without you carrying them around. I also have no desire to shout over your screaming child, or have your child’s screams amplified directly into my ears. Shockingly, I don’t have children. Mostly because I’m too selfish to be a father (and am man enough to admit it) but also because I despise unruly children and their weak-ass, clueless parents. That’s right, I don’t like kids. Even yours? Especially yours.

4: I did not create your problem. That’s right, I’m not the one you need to shriek at. If you waited until the last minute to bring your car in for service or pay your bill, etc., it’s your fucking fault for waiting till the last minute to get shit done! Don’t get all indignant on me, and fuck your unrealistic expectations, because I don’t care how so-and-so do things. Go there, and stop wasting my fucking time with your bullshit sense of entitlement. Just because you can’t plan your day or budget your time effectively, don’t expect me or my people to drop everything to stop the world just for you.

5: If you don’t make an appointment or reservation for service, be prepared to wait, and shut the fuck up while doing so! Most of the other people waiting took five minutes out of their day to book a reservation or service appointment, so they get to go before you. Calling me an asshole is not going to expedite things, as a matter of fact, if you do shit like that in a restaurant, expect to eat someone else’s boogers/bodily fluids with your meal, you rude cocksucker. And if I'm out & about I'll say the shit the people you're trying to bully aren't allowed to say to you.

6: “The customer is always right” is total bullshit of the highest magnitude. It is not now, nor was it ever, true. If you know what you’re talking about and you know what you want, you are practically unique. Once again, it’s your responsibility to read your manual/warranty/service contract/usage agreement, not mine. If you use a product in a way that it was not designed to operate, you don’t deserve a replacement no matter how much you whine about it. If you ruin something out of ignorance or stupidity, tough shit, buy another one. Or don’t, I could give a fuck. People like you are the reason there are instructions on a tube of toothpaste, you illiterate fucktard.

7: If someone asks you if you want to speak to someone in your native language, don’t get all pissy and yell that your English is perfect, they only ask because your English sucks so bad it’s a total fucking grind to talk to you. Some places, call centers in particular, keep track of how long their employees spend on each call, and you are fucking up their stats & pay with your non-existent grasp of the English language. Stop being a selfish asshole and just ask for the translator/language line.

Man, I Sure Miss Frank Zappa

Over 20 years ago, back when MTV was worth watching, there was a certain group of busybody cunts who wanted to tell everyone else how to live. They called themselves the PMRC and wanted to rate musicfor the rest of us according to their personal tastes. Ordinarily, they would have been told to fuck off, but unfortunately for us, their husbands happened to be U.S. Senators. This meant that legislation equating to censorship was closer to reality than a lot of smarter people were comfortable with. It also meant that there were hearings on Capitol Hill, regarding music & the rating thereof.

I'm not going to give the PMRC members or their husbands' names here, if you're curious, look it up, I will, however, tell you that I watched part of those hearings on TV, and I was floored by the diverse group representing the music industry that sat before those hearings to try to bring reason & intelligence to the proceedings.

Picture this group, if you can: John Denver, Ice-T and Frank Zappa. I'm pretty sure Rob Halford from Judas Priest was there too, but I didn't see his testimony. Anyway, John Denver was threatened with censorship over his song "Rocky Mountain High" when it first came out, because since it has the word "high" in it, it's obviously about encouraging poor defenseless children to abuse drugs. I loved the I-can't-believe-I-have-to-explain-this-to-fucking-adults look on his face when he asked the panel if they actually listened to the song before they condemned it. Ice-T was, of course, far more intelligent and articulate than they expected, and he sounded like he was talking to a Special-Ed class, too.

But Frank Zappa was fucking mezmerizing. He gave such compelling testimony, and also compared the PMRC & their ilk to fucking Nazis, which they basically are. It's sad that Amerika has so few people like Mr. Zappa today, or we might not be in the giant shithole we're in now, thanks to people like George W. Bush & his "Emperor's New Clothes" regime.

Another Lesson in Differences

OK, the election is finally over, and the American sheeple at least showed a bit of common sense for a change. Although I still don't feel Obama is the best man for the job, he was certainly the best choice we were presented with. I happen to agree with the thought that the man who wants the job the least deserves it most. Hopefully Obama can live up to his obvious promise, but (almost) anyone would be an improvement over a semi-retarded evangelical cunt like Bush.
I just couldn't imagine the Antichrist as VP, either. Just the fact that she thinks we're in the end times and would do everything in her power to accelerate the coming Apocalypse is more than enough reason to vote against the Republicunts. I feel that people like Palin & Mike Huckabee should be excluded from holding any meaningful elected office just to enforce the separation of church & State anyway. I am so fucking sick of narrow-minded ignorant fuckstains making decisions that affect my life.

Anyway, that's not really the purpose of this post. I really want to educate & inform people of important differences between what they think about certain things. As a previous post dealt with the differences between Rights and Privileges, this post will deal with the difference between Nationalism and Patriotism.

Let's start with Nationalism. According to the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, nationalism is: loyalty and devotion to a nation ; especially : a sense of national consciousness exalting one nation above all others and placing primary emphasis on promotion of its culture and interests as opposed to those of other nations or supranational groups. That's definition #1, and will suffice for the purpose of this post.
That is what most people in Amerika consider patriotic: unwavering support for their country & its leaders, regardless of what those "leaders" think, do or say. A bunch of drunk fratboys bleating out chants of "U S A" & "We're Number One" while certainly embarrassing, is neither true or patriotic. Blind faith in anything just means you're willing to abdicate responsibility for your actions to someone you don't even know. That doesn't make you anything but a fucking sheep, which explains the repetitive bleating.

I can't put it more succinctly than that. Of course, the corporate media that spoon feeds most Amerikans their misinformed opinions on everything these days wouldn't dare make such a proclamation, the FCC would shut them down for disagreeing with the powers that be.
Rampant nationalism is also what allowed a fucking animal like Hitler to come to power in Germany, and he wasn't even fucking German! The same mob-mentality that brought us the Nuremburg rallies and the Holocaust has brought this once-great nation to a morally and intellectually bankrupt state. Not to mention having the Patriot Act crammed up our asses, the systematic elimination of our basic rights, and the institution in all but name of a Police State in what's supposed to be the most free country on the planet. Another Unsettling Trend

Let me admit to one of my many human foibles. I have a "thing" about hypodermic needles. And by "thing" I mean deep-seated hatred. Call it a fear, call it a phobia, call it a fucking toaster oven for all I care, just keep that fucking thing the fuck away from me. Fuck. That's one of the main reasons I never became a drug-addict, that and the fact I wanted to actually make something of myself that didn't involve ponderous amounts of BO and blowing a complete stranger for a fix.
That being said, I can pretty much tell you why I hate needles, and it goes back a very long way. You see, before I was even in elementary school I loved monster movies. They didn't even have to be very good, just somewhat scary. Well, there was this old 50's SciFi movie about aliens that had needles that came out of their fingertips and that pretty much fucked me up for life.

So you can probably understand my outrage when I read the following:

What. The. Fuck. Now I know that paramedics, EMTs, phlebotomists and other folks in medicine-related fields all know how to give injections, because they're trained to, so I don't know about the rest of you fucking sheeple, but I'm sorry Officer Mengele, you come near me with a needle, I'm fucking drawing down on your ass. Seriously. Get the fuck away from me with that shit.
Another salient point would be the drug they're using, Midazolam, and the possibly harmful effects it could have if someone were allergic to it. I'm not talking I-touched-my-face-after-petting-a-cat-and-now-my-eyes-are-itchy-and-watery allergic, I'm talking ER-in-ten-minutes-or-you're-going-to-fucking-die allergic. Ask anyone who's allergic to penicillin how cavalier their attitude towards a dose of that is.

Things Every American Needs to Know

So you think you're a Good American. If you're anything like the majority of people that I deal with every day, I have some bad news, Skippy.

First off, let's talk about a few differences that most Americans are unaware of:

There is a huge difference between Rights and Privileges. You have the right to vote, own a gun, speak out against your elected officials, worship whatever imaginary being you choose and say anything to anyone. That's right, you have the right to call a black man a "nigger." But you do not have the right to complain when that same black man justifiably beats the ever-loving shit out of you because you fucking deserve it, you racist piece of shit.

You have the right to spend your money as you see fit, even if you want to buy an over priced, self-indulgent and totally unnecessary SUV. But if you go ahead and buy your ego stroking behemoth that gets horrible fuel economy, you forfeit your right to bitch about the price of gas, you selfish cocksucker.

You have the right to vote, even though you are most likely ignorant and ill-informed, having your opinions spoon-fed to you via any of the mainstream media, who coincidentally enough, are owned by the same big businesses as most of Congress & the Senate. Stop watching CNN, MSNBC and Fox "News" and learn something about the candidates, because I'm really fucking tired of your shitty choices affecting my goddamn life, you fucking sheep.

You do not, however, have the right to drive like a total asshole, on any road you like. Driving is a privilege granted to you by the state you live in, which is why you need to get a new one when you move to a different state. Even though a half retarded chimp can get a driver's license in most states, you're supposed to display a modicum (look it up, dicktard, I don't have a remedial blog) of skill to demonstrate you deserve that privilege. The state also has the right to revoke your license if you do something extraordinarily stupid, though they don't do this often enough in my less-than-humble opinion.

So explain to me why my driver's license is valid anywhere in the U.S. but my concealed carry permit isn't. And you unskilled fuckers are lucky it's not as hard to get a DL as it is to get a CCW, and I think it should be harder, if anything. After all, I had to prove to a certified instructor that I possess a higher-than-average degree of skill with a handgun in order to be allowed to exercise my right to carry one. 'Splain that one to me, Lucy.

You do not have the right to a ridiculous amount of credit, no matter how well you think you manage your finances. As a matter of fact, you don't have the right to credit at all if a bank or credit union thinks you're a shitty risk. They actually have the right, as businesses, to dictate the terms of any credit they extend to you. Want a higher limit on your card? Prove you deserve it. Can't do that? Tough shit, just sit there & suck on it, Deadbeat. Try negotiating the price of groceries the next time you go shopping, see where that gets you. You also don't have the right to max out your credit cards, get a second or third mortgage, tons of personal loans and a brand-new car(none of which you can really afford) and then fuck over your creditors by declaring bankruptcy. You're nothing more than a scammer and a thief at that point, asshole.

It's Been A While

My, it has been a long time since I posted anything. It's certainly not because there are less things to rant about, but fuck a duck! Where do I start?

How about the election? It looks more like a popularity contest held at an overcrowded bible camp. I would like to see just one fucking candidate say, "My religious beliefs have no bearing on my support or dissent regarding any legislation, and yours shouldn't either."
And it's the fucking twenty-first century, people! Can we finally get past a candidate's race for fuck's sake? There are sooooo many more important things to consider about our future leader than the color of his skin or who his parents were. How about someone who has read (and actually understands) the fucking Constitution, or at least the Bill of Rights, since a middle-school civics class 30-plus years ago. How about someone not bought and paid for by big business? That would certainly be a welcome change from our "Emperor's New Clothes/Oil Whore" regime that we currently suffer under, selling us out at every turn. How about someone with real solutions to current problems regarding crime in this country that don't involve more gun control or other infringements on the liberties of law-abiding citizens?
Why are there only two political parties? There's no significant difference in them either, so they might as well drop the pretense and form one huge, unstoppable, bible-waving New Amerikan Zeitgeist Incumbent Party. I find this news article to be alarming, to say the least, yet I can see this happening in the U.S. if White Trash America elects another religious/fascist asshole to the White House. I'm talking to all you ignorant fuckwits who support people like Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney this past year. As a matter of fact, if McCain picks either one of those cocksuckers as his running mate, I don't care if the Democrats nominate a turnip, I'll be voting for that turnip.

First of all, just the simple fact that Suckabee stated aloud that he thinks the U.S. Constitution should be amended to align more closely with his favorite version of a fairy tale that just won't go away should have meant instant dismissal from any public office. And Romney isn't any better, because the only thing worse than a religious asshole is a religious asshole with a shitload of money, just like Osama bin Laden.

Not Far Off The Mark

There are three kinds of people in this world that I despise: Thieves, Liars and Bullies, and the RIAA is all three in one convenient, easy-to-loathe package.
I'm old enough to have owned (and nostalgic enough to still own) vinyl LPs and cassette tapes. My friends and I shared all our albums with each other by taking the time to record them onto cassettes, and we all had piles of homemade cassette tapes. Some of them were even labeled as well. Why did we do this? It's called "sharing" and it's how we were raised. Also because it saved us money because we didn't have to buy that particular LP. I'm sure the music industry lost money from us doing that, but twenty or thirty years ago the government wasn't completely bought and paid for by big business.
File sharing is just like spending a rainy afternoon at a friend's house turning a stack of records into a stack of tapes. It wasn't called stealing then and it's no different now, it just doesn't take as long. I now have stacks of CDs and a CD recorder, and I will gladly copy anything I have for someone.
Do I make 1000 copies of a CD and sell them? No, because that is pirating, and I have no issue with arresting someone doing that. But when the RIAA sues some little kid for a ridiculous amount of money for downloading her favorite songs I have a huge problem with that. Way to take the moral high ground and make an example out of a hardened criminal! If you are savvy enough to not have to pay for your music, awesome! If your favorite band comes to town, pay for a ticket to see them live, because at least they'll make more than a dollar from each ticket, unlike their latest CD, which, even though it still costs $18, made the record company fifteen times as much money as the artist. And why do CDs cost as much now as when they first came out over 20 years ago? Especially when you consider the cost of a CD player started out at around three grand, and now you couldn't give one away because DVD players are so inexpensive now?
I know someone who worked in a CD factory 8-10 years ago, and they told me that, including the packaging, it cost about a buck and a half to make a CD. Even taking into consideration the cost of shipping, advertising, paying the wage slaves to move it from one point to another in the store, and what the artist is being paid (minus the advance they already got, thank you), the price of a CD should be under five bucks. The only reason, and please correct me if I'm wrong, that Cds cost as much as they do is corporate greed.
So share your files with your friends, neighbors, acquaintances, online friends, even complete strangers, as long as you're sharing and not making money off of someone else's work.

Unfortunately the majority of Americans seem to fall under that category, because an article written almost FIVE FUCKING YEARS AGO should have been a wake-up call to this once-great nation. But no, all the mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, book-burning, goose-stepping Nazi Xian fucktards in this country put aside their asinine squabbling over bullshit semantics long enough to re-elect the worst, most obviously corrupt Emperor's New Clothes regime in this country's history. "Political scientist Dr. Lawrence Britt recently wrote an article about fascism ("Fascism Anyone?," Free Inquiry, Spring 2003, page 20). Studying the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia), and Pinochet (Chile), Dr. Britt found they all had 14 elements in common. Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.
Obsession with National Security
Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.
Religion and Government are Intertwined
Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions.
Corporate Power is Protected
The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.
Labor Power is Suppressed
Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed .
Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts
Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts.
Obsession with Crime and Punishment
Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.
Rampant Cronyism and Corruption
Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.
Fraudulent Elections
Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

Well, sheeple, you scoffed when you were warned by others long ago that this day would come and now it's here. What day is that? Why it's nothing short of the reinstitution of The Draft! Take a look at this and tell me I'm wrong. Please. Anyone? Beuhler?
If you could get your mind off of American Idol and pull your head out of your ass long enough to look around at what you let this country become, you'd shit your nanny-government-supplied, politically-correct diaper full to the brim. And while you're sitting in a pile of your own shit and ignorance it would be a very good time to read House Resolution 847, which almost sanctions Christianity as the official religion of the United States. The reason it stops just short of sanctioning Xianity is very subtle, because the terms and wording used keep it from being blatantly unconstitutional.
There's also this little tidbit about the ever-increasing erosion of our Bill of Rights under that pillar of xian values, G.W. Bush.
So wake the fuck up already! I have no desire to live in a Theocratic Police State and be tortured and killed as a heretic. You spineless fucks can bend over and take it if you want to, but I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees.

The Stench of Hypocrisy

I have never been a fan of militant activist groups, I don't like their heavy-handed techniques and over-the-top propaganda. There are much better ways to get your message across than bullying and browbeating people, I think it's lazy and counterproductive, especially with Oppositional-Defiant people like myself. In fact, my least favorite phrase in English is "You have to..." Because I don't have to do anything, but I'm also aware of cause and effect regarding my choices.
That brings me to the subject of this post. Everyone knows PETA loves animals, right? Well, it turns out PETA is trying to redefine hypocrisy almost daily. There's even a website called petakillsanimals.com that exposes the falsehoods that make up a great deal of the common perception of PETA's image.
Even the head of PETA, Ingrid Newkirk, spews her militant rhetoric without the slightest regard for irony. I found this blog post from last November and it's typical of the hypocritical bullshit PETA tries to pass off as policy. It's nothing new, either, because this article from the Center for Consumer Freedom has quotes dating back to 1990.
If you have ever seen Penn & Teller: Bullshit! then you shouldn't be surprised to know they did a whole episode about what kind of bullshit these people try to get everyone to believe.
In conclusion, fuck PETA and others of their ilk who live in the "Do as I say, not as I do" world of hypocrisy.

I'm talking about the important items that will have an effect on your life that's inversely proportional to the amount of coverage they received in the media.
Project Censored is my newest link on this page, and they have a list of the top 25 news stories in the world from 2007 that were ignored for the most part in today's corporate-run press, probably because they don't generate the same ratings (read: revenue) as the drug- and/or alcohol-fueled antics of overprivileged, under-talented, flavor-of-the-month celebrities.
Personally, I don't care if Paris Hilton releases a sex video featuring her being gang-banged by what's left of Michael Vick's dogs, it's just not newsworthy to me. I would rather know how my elected officials are spending their time and my money. I would also like to know how badly the current "Emperor's New Clothes" regime has fucked me over and trampled my civil rights this week. For a bunch of guys sworn to defend and uphold the United States Constitution, you'd think at least one of them would have read the fuckin' thing.
Turn off your goddamn Hi-Def Plasma Electronic Lobotomy for one night and use the Internet for something besides watching 15 second clips of low-grade porn and find out what's being done in your name! Do you like the house you live in? You better hope some developer doesn't see it as the perfect place for a strip mall or Starbucks, because you will lose your home and get nothing for it. To call for this woman's death for giving a toy a name is so disproportional to the perceived offense defies any explanation.
Then there's Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a female author who lives under constant threat of death for making a stand that someone should have made almost a generation ago. She had the audacity to think that women should be treated like people! God fucking forbid. Next she'll want women to be able to dictate the course of their own lives! The Dystopian nightmare envisioned by George Orwell is right around the corner, except he didn't have right-wing Nazi, bible-thumping cunts running things. If you enjoy your freedom of speech, and I certainly do, you need to be aware of the rapidly approaching Theocratic Police-State hegemony (look it up) in this country. I, for one, can't stand being told how to live, let alone how to think & speak. These Bills are as close to thought-crime legislation as it gets without coming right out and calling them that. This article from the John Birch Society even called them that. No sense sugar-coating it.
I personally don't relish the idea that some gov't goon is allowed to come to my home, paw through my stuff, confiscating whatever they want, for no better reason than I said mean things about their boss. Personally, a Ruby Ridge-style standoff with the New SS, I mean BATF, does not appeal to me at all. I have a family to worry about. (You get a good zombie outbreak, I'm your guy all the way!)
Linda Milazzo has written a very good article in the Huffington Post about it, and I think you should take the time right now and read it. Do it goddammit! For a more detailed description of the Bills, the Center for Constitutional Rights has an excellent factsheet posted on their site. And don't just read the articles, write an email to your representatives as well, because they still work for you, for the time being anyway.
Here is the letter I wrote to my Senators:

Dear Senator ____________,

I am writing to voice my concern over Resolution 1959, the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007. This is as frightening a piece of legislature as anything I've ever seen, including policy papers from Nazi Germany and the U.S.S.R. under Stalin. It sounds suspiciously similar to the sedition laws enacted by the British prior to the Revolutionary War.

This is a totally unwarranted attack on our Constitutional rights, specifically the First Amendment as I understand it. Correct me if I'm wrong, Sir, but isn't voicing a dissenting opinion the very definition of freedom of speech? I personally put a very high value on our freedoms, and those who protect them for us.

Please do everything in your power to persuade others that supporting this resolution is utterly wrong and counter to the Constitution they (and you, Sir,) swore to defend.

I have the utmost confidence in your ability to shone the light of rationality on this corrosive issue.

My answer is an emphatic YES!! The Fourth Reich is alive and well in the last place you would think it would work, the United States of fucking Amerika!! Don't believe me? Go deposit or withdraw $5k in your own bank account. Better yet, take that money in cash and get a cashier's check. Your letter from Homeland Security (in the guise of a letter from your bank) will arrive in the mail shortly. That happened to me. "Due to the enactment of the Patriot Act, we are required to report...blah, blah, fucking blah." Basically, the government of this once great nation wanted to know where I got this money from. I never gave any sort of reply, and I never will, because they can take a flying fuck at a rolling donut for all I care about what they want. Fuck them! They supposedly work for us, right? Besides, the burden of proof lies with the prosecution, meaning they have to prove I did something wrong, and I don't have to prove that I didn't. That was about 5 or 6 years ago, and I haven't heard anything else about it, because I called my bank and gave them a more polite version of what I've typed here. I'm sure I'm on a list somewhere.

Like I said, fuck Bush and his New SS. My grandfather was an electrician, while his funded Hitler's Nazi war machine. Kinda runs in the family, don'tcha think? Don't take my word for it, read this article, or any of thousands of others detailing W's grandfather's involvement. My heritage is Italian and my people helped build this country into the greatest democracy on earth, Bush and his cronies are doing everything they can to tear it down, pissing all over those people like my grandfather every day.
